Finding restaurants that take gluten-free seriously can be challenging, so we were excited to find this place. The gluten-free crepes were absolutely delicious, and they also had gluten-free cupcakes and macarons. Everything we tried was excellent. We loved the macarons so much that we ordered two boxes to take with us--and honestly, we should have ordered more! The service was quick and friendly. Our waitress, Gordana (who I believe is the owner), took the time to explain the steps they take to minimize cross-contact for customers with celiac disease, which gave us confidence ordering there. The decor is just the right kind of kitchy and interesting to look at. There was a book of interesting facts on the table that we enjoyed. Orange juice was freshly squeezed by a cool machine, and the bloody mary was beautifully made. Hubby had the steak and eggs. Had his choice of rib eye or NY strip, he chose the strip. It was cooked PERFECTLY and was easily one of the best steaks we...I mean he's had. (I had to taste it for the review, right?) My kiddo got thr strawberry jam crepe with walnuts, it was delish. I came on vacation to Daytona beach and I returned to The Red Bud Cafe for their crepes after not being here for a year. First of all, I would like to say I like that they have vegan options here. I enjoyed the vegan crepes they had here and the matcha, the meatloaf was flavorful but very crumbly when trying to cut it to take a bite. The service was very slow considering it was not packed like the one other time I came here last year.. the servers did not check up on us except only to order. I felt like I had to beg for the server to come check on the table. The server was very condescending when speaking to us. I've been to many family owned restaurants and I believe they need to strategize better with customer service based on the experience I had. Also, be aware it's 0.50 cents for ice in your drink.. which is absurd. read more

I went here this past Saturday for breakfast with my mother because the menu looked awesome. I really wanted to like this place, but I do have to say our experience was not the greatest. This is a family run place and the family itself are super sweet people who are doing nothing but trying to do their job with a smile on their face but they do clearly need some serious training and some extra help on weekends atleast. The staff looked in constant chaos, dropping dishes on the ground flustered and not checking in on its patrons and I noticed a few tables just did not get their food at all and left. I also did notice a male staff member bring dirty garbage bags out and I immediately saw him go back into the kitchen and handle food without washing his hands. The drinks we ordered were great, but they did take a very very long time to come. We also ordered two breakfast dishes that were both undercooked, raw in the middle and cold. Perhaps if the menu was smaller for weekend brunch they would have less issues with time and temperature of all dishes coming out. The Grandma, however, saw that we returned our food and did bring us something similar to a spanakopita that she made herself, which was actually very delicious. Again, I really want this place to succeed because the interior is adorable and staff were extremely nice but definitely needs improvement. read more

Cute little cafe. If you're in the Daytona Beach area and looking for a place to go for breakfast or an early lunch, you will miss out if you don't come here. They have a large menu with sweet and savory crepes and more classic breakfast options. Including many vegan/vegetarian options. All the food I saw come out of the open kitchen looked incredible - everything is made fresh. The staff is incredibly kind and willing to help create the perfect meal to meet any dietary needs or preferences. They seemed to really enjoy working here. My avocado toast was fresh and delicious with a perfect level of herbs and seasonings. The muffin I had as my side was so moist and delicious that I was practically licking the wrapper clean - I was shocked to find out it was vegan and gluten free!! I had a green smoothie and a caramel iced macchiato and they both were incredibly balanced flavors (not too sweet - not too bitter). Wow, really impressed with this place!! A cute brunch spot near the water that was so good! I ordered the avocado toast and it was so delicious! Multigrain toast with a healthy amount of avocado, baby tomatoes, and a parsley topping. Perfect combo of ingredients. Comes with a side salad, chips, soup, or muffin. Come here if you are looking for healthy and delicious options a short walk from the hotel strip for breakfast or lunch. First, the food - we had the avocado toast and Burek with beef for a late breakfast, so fresh and yummy! Second, the coffee - from Colombia, the best in the world, and a delicious matcha tea. Third, the staff - friendly, politely answered questions and checked on us to ensure we were happy. Lastly, the walls were lovingly decorated with photos, art, prints that I'm sure were from the owner's worldly travels and interests. If you are in Daytona Beach you have to stop by this adorable family owned hidden gem. It's right next to the Waffle House. We walked into this cozy little establishment and were welcomed immediately. The service was wonderful and the owner and her daughter made it a point to make us feel at home. My husband ordered a freshly squeezed orange juice that was the sweetest I've ever tasted. He went traditional with eggs, toast and bacon which were all cooked to perfection and I had the baked avocado which was hands down one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. I'm a savory girl and try to eat healthy when possible so this was perfect for me. The baked avocado was stuffed with eggs, cheese, and crispy bacon on top which was nestled on a bed of fresh crisp lettuce, tomato, green onion and a fresh tangy dressing that gave it the perfect balance of acid that it needed. Cutting into the avocado was my favorite part to get to that beautiful runny yolk. So many crepe choices too. I can't wait to go back next time we are here visiting to try something else! read more

All of the food is a hit my favorite is the Burek the meat one even though I will say I preferred when it was in a circle versus how they make it now, the Argentinian crepe and the Thai Crepe oh and that chimichuri sauce is too die for (you can buy it) and I loooove the ajvar . I love how they make you feel so at home and my kids absolutely love going there and love mamma J too. It's a beautiful experience every time you enter. The place is beautiful love the art work on the walls Gordana draws and so do her daughter it's beautiful work just like them. For me when picking a restaurant it's not just about how great the food is although that will always have me come back but for me and my family it's about how we are treated and this place definitely takes the golden star! My wife and I came to the Red Bud randomly on our trip to Daytona. The vibe inside was very eclectic, yet very simple. This is the very definition of a hole in the wall. Our server was very nice; I believe he was the owner of the restaurant. He mentioned that the restaurant was known for its delicious crepes, so that is exactly what we had. I had the Argentinean crepe, made with carne, caramelized onions, roasted peppers, and their own chimichurri sauce. Let me tell you, this was soooo good. The crepe itself was very well made. It did not fall apart easily, and the flavor of the carne with the chimi sauce made this dish. My wife had the Nutella crepe, and I also got the chance to take a few bites. Each bite was better than the last, and I was tempted to buy one myself. Overall, our experience was very pleasant, and honestly, if I lived in Daytona, I would come here every morning. read more

This is a delightful little cafe with a bohemian ambience. The music playing in the front of the restaurant was quite loud, but we were seated in the back, so it was just right. We were there on a Tuesday morning, but I think on the weekends or when there are a lot of tourists in town, it could get crowded. I think they like you to make reservations at those times. The menu is extensive, and reflects the family-owned restaurant's cultural background of Bosnia, Croatia, and Australia. My mom ordered a baked avocado that also had egg in it and was surrounded by a fresh tossed salad. I had Burek (kind of like a meal-sized spanakopita) and chose spinach and cheese as my filling. It came with homemade vegetable soup, and a delicious, garlicky, red pepper sauce that really made the dish. It came out a little well-done but I still enjoyed it. My only real complaint is that the menu is a little on the pricey side, but these days that is to be expected with the cost of ingredients going up. We had a good experience at this café in Daytona Beach. Since it is a bit off the beaten path, we noticed a lot more residents versus tourists, enjoying their time here. My wife had the Panini pork with cheese, onion, peppers, and gluten-free bread. It was OK. This was accompanied by a Ajvar salad. I had the 2 x 2 x 2 with sourdough and it was good. The star of the show was the iced macchiato caramel coffee with whipped cream Carmel drizzle sauce. It was the best coffee I've had in quite some time. What really made the visit special was the family that runs it, with sister and mother in the kitchen and brother serving customers. But really they don't limit themselves to those roles - we talked with all three of them, sharing family information with one and being offered advice on what to see in the area from another. And beyond the friendly words, the service was what you'd expect from your own family members who love you. Juicing machine being problematic? They juiced oranges for us by hand. The lavender latte I ordered was perfectly made and my three egg omelette was hands down the best I ever had at a restaurant. The owner surprised me with a Happy Birthday crepe which was very sweet of her. My wife got a crepe for her meal and she loved it. Ate here twice when we were in town for a volleyball tournament. The food is good and the options are a little unique. But I'm only giving 4 stars because it's over priced. All the savory crepes are $19, even the vegetarian one. They're really good but not overly filling. And the sweet crepes are $18. That's just too expensive for a crepe with chocolate syrup and marshmallows. Also got some cookies, but again way overpriced for what they are. So in sum, the food is good and it's a nice alternative from the pizza and bars mostly in this part of Daytona. I just wish the pricing was more reasonable. read more

Randomly yelped this place, based on the stars decided to check it out. Seats are limited but there was only about two tables occupied, immediately seated by the owner or manager. We got the orange juice(freshly squeezed) The strawberry açaí refresher and the fruit pancakes. The pancakes were horrible They were very chewy and doughy, hard to cut through, they also charge $2 extra for maple syrup.... The orange juice was the only thing that was good The refresher tasted like strawberry cough medicine. They have a sign stated Yelp rated them number 13 on best restaurant .... Eh... I was hoping for more flavors and better vibes. $9 fresh squeezed orange juice was delicious but pricey. They offer many types of drinks including coffee, lattes, smoothies, refreshers, and more. The man who seemed like the manager took our order. I ordered the Argentinian crepe and specifically asked with chicken, sadly it came with beef. We tried it thinking maybe it was good and we could just keep it. Sadly it was very oily and tasteless, I was confused because on yelp everyone was praising it! We decided to get the Drago's Thai crepe($18.95) instead, it was delicious but too expensive for the amount of protein you get. The open taco (pictured below) was way too small for $9, we were all shocked when we saw it! The pancakes were delicious and warm. They also forgot the meal of my family member, they took forever to remake it. They thought we wouldn't want it anymore when I mentioned it was missing... They said they comped it and walked away, we never asked them to. I much rather pay than to be treated like I did something wrong, it was their mistakes not ours and we never got an apology. For the rest of visit, no one really checked on us, but they made sure to check on every other table in the restaurant. This gave me the impression that they wanted us out. We finally got up to pay, we were waiting for ever to get our check but our server didn't tell us we pay at the front. Since it's a sit down restaurant, I would think they are able to bring check to the table even if it's separate. Charged a service fee which is fine, I work in a restaurant as well so I understand. But if I know a table has had two mistakes from the kitchen, I would make sure to check on the frequently and make sure they enjoy the rest of their stay. Overall, they don't offer anything that can't be found anywhere else. They also charge too much for what they offer. We all left feeling hungry and unsatisfied. This was not a good experience. But before I go over the details, I want to express my deepest gratitude for our ONLY server , who was juggling between clients for the whole restaurant. Yes , unfortunately management seem to think it's Okay to open the place on a Sunday with only one server at work !! Very Bad decision. In any case , it was not only the service which was lacking, no fault of the server, it was also our food which was mediocre at best. I ordered the ham and cheese crepe and added the scrambled egg, the order came without eggs, and when I inquired about it, the server apologized and said there won't be a charge for it, lo and behold the charge was added to the bill !! My guest friend ordered sour bread and got wheat bread, my wife had the Argentinian crepe and said it was not that great, our drinks were also subpar and nothing to rave about. The restaurant was very busy therefore the lone server was hardly paying attention to details. No ambience and nothing to recommend. I'm not sure how yelp gave them such rave review, but then again, you live and learn. I will not be coming back to this place. read more

There is a drink fridge by the front door that had smudges and sticky finger prints all over it, the floors are very worn and didn't seem super clean, the bathroom didn't have any soap in it, the paper towels were not in the paper towel machine, and the toilet was gross.
