**We came on a Monday -** While in the area we found this little gem and we were excited to give it a try. Sadly the parking is kinda limited so keep that in mind. Once you walk in you can see the cozy ambiance of the business, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. You gotta order at the register and they bring the food to you while you wait If we're in the area again we'd come back They have more of a lunch option compared to breakfast but you can still find something if you woke up late
This was our first time at CasualBird and it did not disappoint! We ordered two mimosas (orange and cranberry), the hand-breaded coconut shrimp (fresh and fried to perfection), a sausage, egg & cheese sandwich with hash brown casserole, and a buffalo chicken tender sandwich with sweet potato casserole. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned -- you could really taste the quality. Our food came out quickly, the portion sizes were just right, and my husband and I ate every single bite. The total was about $60 before tip, and it was absolutely worth it. We'll definitely be back!
The summer salad and cranberry salad were large. Chicken was well seasoned and delicious. Wonderful chicken sandwiches. Bread pudding complimentary while it lasts. I'm told breakfast is excellent also
Casualbird is the best breakfast spot north of Palm Beach. Delicious casseroles and complimentary homemade bread pudding! It is absolutely amazing. Actually they have two types but it's only available until it's gone.
What a cute vibey place right near the beach for delicious breakfast. The chicken tenders were absolutely deliciously seasoned and juicy. Truly mouthwatering. As someone who doesn't eat waffles I really enjoyed having French toast with my tendies. We were excited to do bottomless mimosa but unfortunately they only have orange juice. Different flavor mimosas would make this place top tier than it already is. It was busy and it flowed very well. We can't wait to visit again.
This place came highly recommended by my little cousin who lives in Daytona Beach...and rightfully so. His father talked about that dish from the time we got to the airport to the time we parked at the restaurant. What I had: CHICKEN & FRENCH TOAST w/fresh sliced strawberries - Just as good as they said it was. The French toast was so good I didn't even use syrup (I did spread a little apricot and strawberry jam which was delicious!). HASH BROWN CASSEROLE [not pictured] - Cheese, flavor, and more cheese! My experience was stellar! Hubby decided to take me here... He had already visited casualbird once and truly enjoyed it. So, he wanted me to try it too. I'm very glad he brought me! We were able to park in the lot. As I stood in the parking lot, I noticed a beautiful mural on the side of the building and several tables on an outdoor patio. Although the weather was nice, we opted to sit inside. Inside, the vibe was comfy, chic, and peaceful. We stood in a line and waited to place our order. Menus were available in a bin on the wall. I really enjoyed the variety on the menu. There's definitely something for everyone, including poke and acai bowls. I had a bacon egg and cheese sandwich. Hubby had a grilled cheese with bacon and tomato. Both sandwiches were well made with fresh ingredients. We also ordered coffee beverages. To all my coffee lovers.... Great coffee!!! Also, delicious looking pastries are available! We were then given a number to place on top of our chosen table, which we picked out. Our meals were brought to us with friendly service. This restaurant is only open for breakfast and lunch, generally closing at 3pm. Be sure to check it out. And if you do, ask for a loyalty card. After a number of punches, you'll receive a one-time discount of a certain percentage of your next order
I'd go back here any day--everything tasted so fresh and flavorful. They have a great variety of lunch options, plus coffee, açaí bowls, and pastries. You order your food at the counter and they quickly brought it out! The location is perfect too, just down the street from the beach.
The food here was good. I come here more for the ambiance and the friendly service. The banana bread chai was delicious though!
I am a lover of French toast and the first thing that I do and how I decide whether or not French toast is delicious as if I can eat it without syrup. I like to taste all of the flavors of a good French toast batter, and this French toast was delicious as was the orange zest butter that was included with it. Also, with my meal, I got the fried chicken tenders. They were perfect, perfectly seasoned. The meat was not dry (which can happen with breast) and they were cooked to perfection as well. I did a to go order because I had to go to work. However, I did go inside to pick up my order. Everyone greeted me as soon as I came in. The restaurant was very clean and my order was accurate. I would love to come back and try other things on the menu as well.
Strawberry French toast- reminded me of my when my father baked fresh cakes with strawberry icing. Thank you for the memory. We also got an open faced sandwich with egg, basil, tomato, yummy, yummy, yummy... a regular recommended it. I also got a banana iced drink- it blew my mind. There was banana in it. Mm mm mm. The service was good, the place was so cute (inside and outside. We sat by the window and chatted.

The coffee is from Island Roasters. Their extensive breakfast and lunch food is fresh and delicious. My sister said her açaí bowl was one of the best she's ever had. The close proximity to the beach is a plus. After 11AM, they serve complimentary bread pudding with jam until it runs out. The only drawback is their outdoor seating is too close to the exhaust and noise of Dunlawton.
Casualbird was a great spot for breakfast! The food was fresh and flavorful. The açaí bowl was delicious with fresh ingredients. You can also add their homemade peanut butter. The avocado toast was also tasty. I also highly recommend the iced strawberry matcha latte. It was delicious and refreshing. They also have gluten free pastry options. The atmosphere had a fun, laid-back vibe. The service was friendly, attentive, and quick, even though the restaurant was busy. The only downside is the parking lot. It's very small, so finding a parking spot can be a challenge. read more
Go early or don't go at all--parking disappears fast, and by 10 a.m. on a Saturday the line was already 16 deep. This spot runs on location and convenience more than culinary magic. A handful of outdoor tables, the rest inside, all clean and efficiently turned. Everything comes out fast and hot--service is brisk, bordering on assembly-line smooth. The French toast ($9) is as basic as it gets: two slices, a dusting of powdered sugar, syrup, and a lonely half strawberry. It tastes exactly like what it looks like--standard, soft, slightly forgettable. Not offensive, just... there. The latte was solid, and my mom's coffee was hot, strong, and dependable. The avocado toast tried, but didn't quite land. Cream cheese base, fried egg, tomato, and sliced avocado--some of which leaned a little too ripe. The tomato had a firm bite, the bread barely toasted, and the whole thing felt under-seasoned and uninspired. It needed salt, crunch, personality--something. The double chocolate muffin was moist, soft, and generously studded with melted chocolate pockets. Not house-made-feeling, more like a well-executed bakery standard--but still the best bite of the morning. (They also offer cranberry walnut and blueberry.) Bottom line: Skip the composed plates. Grab a muffin and a coffee--it's the smartest, happiest move here. read more
Came here with the family after church. The cashier was very good because she was the only one. The lines got bigger and bigger. I had the breakfast sandwich with sausage. It was not good. The sausage were a few links cut in half. I wish it was mixed in with the egg. The sandwich was cold. My wife's avocado sandwich was delicious. We had a real good coffee cake and muffins. The coffee was good quality. The place is very well decorated and clean. Price for breakfast was reasonable. It's hard to get to this location going around the block to get in and out. I can see why they have good clientele. I will give it a try again but will not order the breakfast sandwich. read more

This breakfast/lunch eatery is a busy place on a Saturday! I met a couple of friends for breakfast, very cute ambiance. You order in line first then they bring it to your table! There is indoor and outside eating. Small parking lot but we parked down the street and walked there! We ordered the casual chicken sandwich which my friend said was really juicy, she thought the casserole was really cheesy! I got the açaí bowl and the coconut and fruit combination hit the spot! I can't resist a sweet potato casserole and this one was fluffy, not heavy and had the right amount of sweet! The chai banana coffee could've had more flavor in my opinion, I did not taste the banana! I would eat here again! read more

Stuck to the basics as this was my first time trying breakfast here, I ordered a shot of Espresso and Classic Breakfast Sandwich. (I asked for crispy bacon which is why it is so dark in the picture, I promise it was not burnt lol- it was exactly as asked for) I got the Sourdough bread on my order which was delicious... soft and fluffy just like the eggs on the sandwich. Apparently the bread is not made in house, which I wouldn't have known without asking because it was certainly fresh... The ladies told me it is sent in from another family owned bakery. The restaurant itself is absolutely adorable, and well decorated. Though the inside looks small, it is very welcoming and well designed. They do have indoor and outdoor seating. This is a locally owned restaurant & well worth supporting. read more
Atmosphere - modern. The restaurant is small (perhaps 10 tables inside and on a small patio), but has a nice vibe. Service - Very good. Food is ordered and paid for at the counter. We were greeted warmly and the food was delivered in a very reasonable timeframe. Food - Very Good. I had the French Toast and Fried Chicken. The food was served hot and tasted great. This place had so many good Yelp reviews that I just had to stop while visiting the area. The outside is very cute, with a small parking lot. There are a few tables outside to enjoy your food. Once inside, you take a menu and make your choices and order at the register. They give you a number and bring you your food. The menu had a great variety of things and I settled on a Club Sandwich with the Sweet Potato Casserole as my side. The tables inside are bright and cheery and everything was clean. We weren't seated very long when our food arrived. My sandwich was large and looked great. I dug right into the casserole as I knew it was hot and I wanted it that way. It was very good. My sandwich was served on fresh bread, with lots of ingredients. Everything was very good. There was a sign that said they had self serve free bread pudding while it lasted after 11 am. I was so full that I couldn't try it, but it looked good. My only gripe is the acoustics. There were lots of people and it was very loud so it was hard for us to carry on a conversation. Stopped by here for a quick lunch after a slow day of fishing. It's a very chic and well decorated cafe with a weird entrance - the parking lot is only accessible on the westbound lanes of Dunlawton. I opted for the pressed turkey melt which was very good. The sweet potato casserole was recommended to me by the staff and I happily obliged. I must say the best thing I had was that casserole. It was piping hot and deliciously sweet. Definitely will come back! read more

We really enjoyed the food at casualbird. It is most definitely a casual restaurant with a variety of breakfast and lunch options. I was impressed by the variety of drink options, as well, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. We enjoyed the acai bowl (& peanut butter +$2) and the fried chicken. With the fried chicken we had the collard greens (a little salty) and the hashbrown casserole which was SO GOOD OH MY GOSH!!! The service is quick- order at the register and the food is brought out to you. Great spot. read more

I ordered sunny side up eggs, hashbrowns, and grilled chicken. My brother ordered scrambled eggs, sweet potatoes, and grilled chicken. For drinks, I got the banana latte tea and he got strawberry matcha latte. They got complimentary jams and other stuff. I have to give them a five star for good quality, quick service, and nice place setup. read more

Well decorated and outdoor seating available. You order before sitting down. The employees are very helpful. Drinks were average, but the food was good! The turkey melt was really good. We got the small surf and big surf as well which were as expected. The hashbrown casserole has a lot of cheese in it, so you'd like it if you want to eat mac and cheese for breakfast lol- not my favorite side though. read more

The vibes in this place were amazing, truly a diamond in the rough. the vibes were so different from the usual daytona beach. also the ice cream truck in the front is a great touch. Try the beachside avocado (don't even like avocado but loved this) and the fried honey chicken sandwich with their mocha latte. great choices, prices reasonable just great atmosphere. Service was pretty good as well, you find your own seating and order at the counter. but they do bring your food out to you. limited seating choices for outside. Saturday morning was extremely busy. definitely a locals favorite spot. read more
This place just recently opened less than a year ago I believe. It's literally a stones throw from the beach access off dunlawton. Everytime I drove by it, it was always and I mean ALWAYS packed to the gill, and I've always wanted to stop but just either never had time or had a Dory moment. Soooo I finally tried and OMG I'm in love! There is outdoor seating (which is 100% Dogg friendly they even have water bowls out for them, and, there is also inside dinning, the aesthetic kinda reminds me of barn but shrubbery if that makes sense. There is regular tables, booths and bar type seating near the window. There offer complementary wifi, which was really good wifi actually! So we went and ordered our food. There was SOOOO many choices it was hard to chose. I ended up settling with their hummus as a light snack and for my main meal a grilled house salad with ranch. And to drink I got their Mimosa. The hummus plate was actually big portions! In the hummus was cut up tomatoes and cucumber , and 6 or 7 slices of pita bread. I have to say this hummus was not bad at all, the flavors were perfect and spot on! The house grilled chicken salad with ranch, Jesus it was HUGE, probably the biggest salad I've ever had. In my salad it came with spring mix, tomatoes , cucumber , red onion and fire grilled chicken. The chicken was so juciy and not dry at all, whatever seasoning they used paired perfect with it all! The ranch dressing was also good and creamy! My mimosa, I usually don't like them but here it was absolutely delicious. Everyday they have bottomless bubbles for $18 dollars. I know what I'm doing this weekend. Idk what type of champagne they used but it was perfect! The wifi was great! Staff was super friendly and the restaurant was very clean. I'll be back to try the rest of the menu. So stay tuned!! read more
