This is our favorite breakfast place. Mira the owner is an amazing owner/chef and the staff is always welcoming and exceptional. The food is fresh and healthy and tasty, 100% of the time. My wife, Janie, ordered Mira's bowl which came with chickpeas, spinach, feta cheese, two fried eggs, sweet potato, cucumber, and faro, and she loved it. I ordered a bagel sandwich which was an everything bagel with cheesy scrambled eggs, bacon and onion and it was really tasty! Kayla was our server and she did an exceptional job as always. Paid a recent visit to High Tide Kitchen. It's a very popular breakfast and lunch spot in the Port Orange/Daytona area right across the street from the beach. The place was packed. The staff immediately noticed us and let us know we'd be seated quickly and they were correct only took us about 15 minutes. There is seating inside and outside. The decor is fresh and bright. The kitchen is featured right behind the register. They feature breakfast, lunch and bakery goods. I tried the breakfast staples. Eggs, sausage, potatoes and a pancake. First, the pancake and the sausage...stellar. The potatoes were OK and the coffee not quite as bold as I like. This is a place we'll return to and it was a solid place for breakfast/lunch in the Daytona/Port Orange area. Give them a try. read more

We went to High Tide Kitchen spontaneously for brunch, and it was really good. The location is right across from the beach, which was really cool. Our waiter, Krystiana (I think I spelled that right), was very nice and attentive. The food came out quickly. We ordered the Greek omelette, which was excellent. Everything in the omelette tasted really fresh. I'm not sure what kind of eggs they use, but the quality seemed very good. We especially liked the gyro meat. We also stepped out of our comfort zone and tried the Nova Lox sandwich, and it did not disappoint--we enjoyed every bite. The presentation of the bagel was amazing, and the fish tasted very fresh. We also ordered pancakes, which were light and fluffy. Cute place, food was okay and good, wait for food was much longer than expected. The pancake was delicious. The veggie scramble was full of vegetables but had too little egg. The potatoes were seasoned well but I wish they were crispier. Substituted an everything bagel for toast, it was okay, but definitely not a NY bagel. Coffee was just okay. Busy place, not a great system for cleaning and prepping tables since you seat yourself. Our server was great. The food is delicious but the service can be better... If you come in and want to sit/ eat outside, they make you pay right away, and if the tip is not high enough, you are forgotten there.. The cutlery was dirty, with sticky omelette pieces on the forks and knives, watch out. When I had to return ( twice!!) - there was no apology or sorry..The coffee is really good. This is a great little place for breakfast and lunch. We went around 11:00 on a Tuesday. Some people had breakfast, some had lunch. Everyone enjoyed their meals, my father especially. He had the Breakfast Hash and said it was one of the best things he's ever had. I had a breakfast sandwich and it was ok. I do appreciate that there were different bagel options, so I went with an Asiago bagel. It was $9 for that, which I felt was too expensive. The service was good. People were friendly and food was brought out pretty quickly. There was plenty of seating, so no issues getting a table. Had the pleasure of having lunch and breakfast here during our stay in Daytona Shores. Wish I had taken a picture of my Gyro sandwich but take my word for it when I say it was plentiful and yummy. I asked for extra sauce just because I loved it. Then for breakfast the next day I had the corned beef hash. Fresh and delicious. Too much food for me but if I had a fridge I would've taken it home for later! My husband ordered a side of breakfast potatoes with his bagel. The portion large enough for a hungry guy or for two to share. Would be amiss to wrap this up without mentioning that the service staff was very attentive on both days.
