    Super yummy grits

This used to be an IHOP and still has the layout. However the service and the food are outstanding. Our server made us feel like we were guests at her home; she was wonderful. The food was delicious. The western omelette was huge and full of flavorful fillings. Grits were great (imo, a sign of a great breakfast place). Coffee was dark , rich and just perfect. If you are in the ormond beach area, you must try this gem.

    Breakfast flatbread

I was debating between a 2 and a 3, but everyone else's breakfast was good, so I gave a 3. I ordered the breakfast flatbread because it was something unique. I would not order it again. I loved all the veggies and meats on it, however I wasn't expecting the type of flatbread it was (not to their fault at all). The menu said there would be melted American cheese and another type. I wasn't expecting the base layer to be American nacho cheese. I am not a picky eater, but nacho cheese with eggs and cooked veggies for breakfast was not appetizing. It was canned, extremely processed nacho cheese at that. I ate what was on top that didn't have nacho cheese on it. My family got the chicken fried steak, French toast and Mickey Mouse pancakes, which they all enjoyed.

We wrapped up our mini-getaway with breakfast at Angelina's Diner--and what a perfect ending it was! The moment you walk in, you're greeted with cheerful hellos right from the heart of the kitchen, instantly making you feel like part of the family. The dining room is clean and modern, filled with natural light, comfortably cool on a warm day, and playing fun retro tunes that added to the cozy vibe. Our server, Gabby, was an absolute gem--so kind and welcoming it felt like we were visiting relatives instead of dining out. We both ordered the Belgian Waffle Combo, and Gabby enthusiastically promised we wouldn't be disappointed. She wasn't kidding--these were hands-down the best waffles I've ever had. Crispy on the outside, cloud-soft on the inside--truly waffle perfection. Every waffle I eat from now on will be compared to that waffle at Angelina's! The bacon was smoky and flavorful, the eggs were light and fluffy, and everything tasted freshly made. I sipped on a refreshing iced coffee while my husband enjoyed a glass of orange juice, and we both left full and happy. I'm honestly jealous of the folks who live in Ormond Beach and can eat here anytime they want. What a delightful experience! We'll absolutely be back the next time we're in town.

Angelina's Diner is a modern take on the old school diners from back in the day. This sleek, modern style diner greets you with good music, welcoming staff, and good food. Our waitress, Morgon, was polite and made sure we had all we needed. The food was plentiful and delicious. It was adequately priced for the portions received. As seen in the photos, we ordered the turkey dinner and a ribeye philly sandwich plus two drinks for about $39 after tax.

So I have been here twice a few months apart. The first time was here for a family gathering around the holidays and had a not great experience but it's busy and things happen so I decided to give them another try recently and I did a to go order for chicken tenders and the loaded fries. The employee I spoke with was super nice and did a great job but the food was a no from me again. The inside is a little bland to me but I guess we can look past it as the second time I had done a to go order. The chicken tenders are cooked odd and the breading is like soft and not crunchy and it just isn't the best chicken I've had. The loaded fries were missing jalepenos even though I did confirm when ordering that I did in fact want them. It's nothing special I hated the cheese they had used for it. The bacon was good and the ranch dipping was great. I probably won't be giving this place another try.

Had lunch with my parents and wife on a Saturday afternoon. The restaurant was very well lit and clean. The server was nice. The cheese fries really hit the spot for me. The bacon lovers blt was delicious over all i would go back. There are not a lot of places to eat on beachside in Daytona and this is among the better ones.

New place. Only open for 5 months in previous IHOP location. Redid the whole place. Tell you what.... when it was IHOP I never saw the parking lot as full. Good selection on the menu I had one of "eggceteras" with potatoes and meat. Mine was sausage and hashbrowns with cheese. Candyce had build your omelette and the eggs were super fluffy. Service was good. Speed of the kitchen was very good. We'll be back. Like the name. Named after the owners 10 yr old daughter.

The service was impeccable and the food was wonderful. My friend and I got there around 3 pm, very clean restaurant and the food is the Bombe! I will be back, it's was a very pleasant experience.

    Angelina's Omelette with bacon, sausage.
    Stephanie A.

Omelette was stuffed, eggs cooked well, a bit too many mushrooms for my taste. Hash browns had a crispy top but they tasted like potatoes needed more cooking. Rye toast was good, it seemed homemade. Grits were ok. The service was fast, but toast came several minutes later. This place is a remodel I-HOP nice and clean, but a bit tight in the seating.

Stopped in for breakfast and was greeted by a beautifully decorated diner! Apparently this a"was an old IHOP and Sept 2024 it was bought and redecorated. Our breakfast was delicious-mine a light, fluffy, sweet waffle with 2eggs, bacon...$12.25. Husband got 2eggs, hash browns and rye bread $8.50; where they got ya was coffee-$3.25. No where does it say cost of coffee either. It was good coffee so .......?!?

An amazing little place to get breakfast with family. The service is great, service is very attentive to our needs. They keep the coffee cup full! The food is wonderful . Very clean new modern look. Will make this a Friday morning breakfast at place for us!

We came her with several church members for lunch bunch. They changed the old IHOP into a bright restaurant with better seating. Service was fast and friendly from a server who used to work at the old IHOP. Not a freezing as IHOP used to be so that was nice. The food was delicious. We all had breakfast items for lunch. Omelet vs sandwiches seamed to be the theme. Plenty of food and a good serving to take home for many. We will definitely remember this for breakfast.

Service - possibly too much! :-) We happened to be seated at the end of the bar and every time a server passed us, they checked on us, tried to collect servingware (some of which was awaiting use) and asked if we needed anything. They were friendly and welcoming, not pushy. Tip: We heard a server describing flights to a nearby table. We had not been told of these. There was a $12 mystery flight with either 3 reds or 3 whites. There was a premium 3 taste red flight at $18. I am using the word taste loosely here as we were advised each taste in the flight is 1/2 glass. Everyone was happy to let us taste any wines that were open. The premium flight included a higher end version of the wine we got by the bottle (Mendoza Malbec) which the proprietress proactively offered us. Judging by that alone, the premium flight would have been worth the price. All wines by the glass were $7 or $15. On to the food and menu: The menu is a nice size and has offerings that would appeal to many palates and appetites. We tried the Crab Remick and the Grazing Board MKT ($20). We were there a year ago when the transition from "Better Days" to the "vine" was still in process. I liked the old menu a little better, but that's a matter of taste. The crab cakes and pasta choices are not on the menu now. (There is mac and cheese) For a scratch kitchen it is strange to me that they don't have any bread. In fact, I question whether they make the crostini. These crostini are small, cracker-sized, and have garlic flavoring. The actual crackers are clearly not made in house (see my photo). I looked at the photo of the French onion soup to see what bread is in there and I could not tell. But here is the thing, coming from Northern CA, having bread, preferably sourdough, to go with your cheese and wine is a key part of the experience for me. I think the Bistro is missing a couple big opportunities here. The first is to offer fresh bread with both the wine tasting menu and the brunch. And the other one is to get SF sourdough starter and use that for a unique and special attraction. Last time we were here, we got the meatball sliders and we really liked those. BTW, they offer tablets that have the menu, including photos, and wines, if you like to access the information that way.

Our server took our order my husband ordered 2 eggs, sausage gravy and biscuits with bacon. I ordered an egg over easy with hash browns, 2 sausage links and wheat toast. Our food was served quickly and we thought everything was going good. But then a SUV pulls up outside and apparently Tuesday morning is when they get their delivery. They propped open the door with all the cold air coming in, everyone except the cook that was working there stopped what they were doing and started to unloaded their order. Never once were we asked if we needed anything. My husband was almost hit in the back of his head with a big box of snack size Lays potato chips. Honestly, that was very unprofessional if they do this every Tuesday morning, they are only opened until 2 PM. They have all afternoon to have an order delivered or come in early before the restaurant opens to have it delivered. You do not go back-and-forth through a restaurant ignoring your customers because you have a delivery. Besides that... aren't most deliveries brought in through the back door not the front. We waited for our check but never came so we stood at the register until we could pay our bill. The restaurant was nicely decorated for St. Patrick's Day but maybe be more considerate of your customers.

It was Bike Week, so I'm sure it was busier than normal, but the space itself is pretty small with a slightly quirky setup for a place labeled as "brunch." I'll admit I expected more of a brunch vibe -- things like bottomless mimosas, live music, or a more elevated menu -- but overall it felt closer to a diner experience. We both ordered the mimosa flight, which was fine but pretty average, nothing particularly fresh or over-the-top in terms of ingredients or presentation. I had the bacon pancakes, which were good but not anything memorable. I did like that the bacon was thick cut, and I added icing to create more of a sweet-and-savory combination, which helped. My husband had a muffin sandwich, and again, it was decent but felt like something you could easily get at a local diner. For a place branded around brunch, I expected daily specials or something a bit more unique. Service was also just okay. Our server was always on the go and never really stopped at our table. There wasn't much effort to explain the menu, check if we had questions, or suggest any items, which would have helped the overall experience feel more welcoming. Overall, I wouldn't discourage anyone from trying it, but I'm not in a rush to go back either. If I never dined here again, I'd be perfectly okay with that.
