A group of six guys went to lunch. We decided to go here. It was great! Now to the review, When we walked in, we were met by one of the staff who immediately sensed our dismay at there being no table for six. Being a big man, he lifted a table in to position and placed the appropriate number of chairs around. It only got better from there. Menus from this young man. A young woman, who looked about thirty showed up and I introduced myself. "I'm Kate", she responded. Drinks? Three Diet Cokes, two waters and a beer (a local IPA from Ormond Garage). She promptly remembered all our names and we got down to looking over the menu. When she came back, we ordered from all over the menu. schnitzel sandwich, "Tilt Burger" (don't ask), chicken fingers, turkey wrap, "Tilt Burger" (don't ask) and mine was the corned beef Benedict known as "The Irish". The food was on the table in a timely fashion. All except the two "Tilt Burgers" (you can ask now). The young man who seated us should have relieved the slight waitress and brought these to the table. The burgers looked too heavy to be lifted by such a slight young woman. Ham, cheese, BLT, large burger patty and an egg. All the meals were excellent, the service great and the fun as advertised. Kate allowed as how she five kids and two grandkids. She didn't look her age. To find that last fact out, you'll have to go. Five stars and more for a truly Florida experience, on the beaten track, but maybe not. They needed some Tabasco. read more

Had a great breakfast while on vacation! Breakfast menu was extensive. Many eggs Benedict dishes to choose from!! My Irish Benedict was delicious. Grits were also very good! The service was excellent... everybody there was extremely welcoming and nice. Ambiance was very cool... with bike week posters on the wall and a pinball room with lots of pinball machines! Amazing biscuits and gravy. Its so creamy yet spicy and the biscuit just falls apart!

Definitely an eclectic but natural place to have breakfast, brunch or lunch. 30 plus pinball machines to entertain you while you wait. And you will wait, the aromas keep you tethered. Don't worry, it will be quick. The menu is deep with all southern breakfast items, great burgers and a good amount of entrees selections. Very good and friendly service. Good team work. We love this wonderful secret, shhhh! Don't tell anyone! Actually all the locals know. When you pull up to a place with police cars or fire engines (on break, of course)-you know you have come to the right place! Such a family feel!. Sassy, the waitress, is fabulous and all of her name! There is a room of pinball machines for entertainment. I heard they have a membership. But the best part is the delicious home cooking! Cooked exactly how you ask and with a kitchen full of gluten they have never made me sick. They know how to cook without cross contamination, but they can't promise. What a great location. They are breakfast and pinball. What more could you ask for while traveling. The Wait service was fast and attentive. Even came to me while I was playing a game let me know there's no rush but my food is up. The owner was here working when I visited. From what I understand he's pretty much there working every day. Where I was playing one of his games he asked me what I ordered and said he'd make it nice. He seemed happy that I was there pumping quarters as well as eating food. What was really funny, There's a video of him working on one of the machines and the pinball glass slides down and he catches it with his foot in the nic of time. The funny is part about this video is that it's been an ongoing fear that this would happen to me 1 day, and the day it does I'm now better equipped with my ninja glass catching skills. Another amazing meal at Cafe One. My visit was 11/25/23. Still amazing food and service! The place was packed Saturday around noon. We opted to sit outside where it was slightly drizzling but still had cover. I had O.G. Sandwich with sourdough bread and potatoes. So much food I took half the sandwich home. My mom had spinach and cheese omelette and swapped for fruit. The coffee still freaking wonderful as always. Sassy and her crew still the best around. I wished I lived closer. read more

When you think about classic diners, this is the exact place you think about. The menu has every item you would expect with a few surprises in my opinion like a sourdough French toast that I will be back for next time. Upon my first visit, I could tell this place is a staple for the people in the area. The servers knew the patrons by name and they all ordered by saying "I'll have my usual". Onto the food, it was extremely comforting. I got the stacker which is two eggs stacked on sausage Patties stacked on biscuits and gravy which is all on top of a bed of crispy has browns. The gravy is what stood out to me most on this dish. Very flavorful. My one think was the biscuits were a little undercooked for my liking. I found it to be a slight play dough feel in my mouth. Nice little mom and pop place on us 1. When got there it was packed and you could tell there was a lot of regulars. Table across from me had mimosas. I ordered my usual breakfast and came out perfect. Eggs nice and hot and not broken. Marbled rye toast. My friend had the biscuits and gravy special. Our favorite breakfast place in the area. We love the Irish Benny but everything we've had is really good. Sometimes service is a problem but only because it is so popular. The waitresses are friendly and efficient. Trying the new dinner menu tonight. Will report back. Back after dinner. New staff for the dinner service and our waitress Brittany was wonderful. We were a little early for any dinner rush - I don't know if they get one - but there were only four tables seated and we all got friendly, attentive service from Brittany. I had the ribeye steak and it was very different- it came across as a different type of meat than steak, like stew meat or something. That said it was well spiced and cooked, and I ate it all up. The loaded baked potato was excellent- my favorite part of the meal (that's both good and bad, right?). My wife had a good ceasar salad with turkey, and we got out of there for $50, tax and tip included. Not sure if we will go back for dinner, but it's still our favorite for breakfast. read more

I live near by and came in for some breakfast. I tried coming before on a Monday but realized they are closed on SUNDAYS and MONDAYS. PROS: - servers are really kind - arcade room. Not sure if that's a good idea right now during covid. - quiet and nice atmosphere - tables were well spread out - lunch food looked good CONS: - they had a kid (a server's son) running the food to the tables. During this whole COVID thing I'd rather have a more responsible and aware adult delivering my food. He didn't have a mask on either when he brought me my food. - food was okay. I've had better breakfast but it for the job done. - breakfast selection left room for Desire - tables were cleaned with a rag they used at all the other tables too so proper sanitization between customers wasn't being practiced. read more

Fantastic food. It doesn't look like much from the road but the food is amazing. I had the chicken and waffles, and they were the best I've had, EVER. It was like a Belgium style waffle not a Belgium waffle. I've been to Belgium, they aren't like the ones at Denny's. This was an honest Belgium style, which is more like a desert, so tasty. Fresh sourdough bread rounded off the breakfast and I was so full and satisfied with everything.
