This place is really nice. Attached to dunns attic which is antique and consignment. Great selection of assorted sodas. Some sodas you haven't seen in ages. Order at the counter or at the table. We ended up ordering at the counter. We saw this dessert which turned out to be bread pudding with raisins. And added raspberry drizzle to it. Good menu for other types of lunch sandwiches. I stumbled upon this wonderful gem tucked away in a strip mall in Ormond. The famous $1 mimosa's are divine and their breakfast menu is amazing with lots of variety and reasonable prices. The staff are welcoming wonderful and attentive. If you're visiting Ormond from out of town definitely a place to stop by you won't be disappointed! The inside of the restaurant is located in Dunns Attic which is another place to visit once you get done eating. When we were in Florida recently we found this place, The Cafe features an American type dinner. This place has a very family feel to it with exceptional service. The perfect breakfast and brunch atmosphere but they also offer dinner as well. We were here for lunch. My wife ordered the Eggplant Parmesan with spaghetti and meatballs and is also served with garlic bread and a Chef's salad. I had the Gyro Plate, which is grilled lamb served on pita bread with lettuces tomato and Tzatziki sauces that is impressive. You have the option of French friends or Greek salad as a side, I opted with the fries. Prices are very reasonable. We have tried several restaurants in the area but we highly recommend this place. read more

I went here in February after my very Italian grandfather had passed to celebrate him. My goodness the bread was fresh and good! The sausage and onions was to die for as well as this all out sandwhich. We will 10/10 be back. He would have adored this place! This is a gem! read more

We were excited to try this place after reading reviews, but everyone at our table rated their food a "C" at best. I ordered a 2 egg sampler and a half order of biscuits and gravy. Eggs were cooked properly but no seasoning; potatoes were mushy instead of crisp, bacon was floppy. We love biscuits at our house, but these tasted and looked like canned biscuits with gravy from a mix. Not good. My friend had a chicken salad sandwich that she described as dry. My daughter had chocolate chip pancakes and said they were okay. Probably the best part of the meal was the peach Bellini, my strong cup of coffee and the fresh orange slices they serve on each plate. We had the soup and half a sandwich. The nice thing is that the cafe is incorporated into Dunn's Attic which I enjoyed browsing. We started with a sangria which was extremely sugary and could not drink it (they did take it off our bill). Their soups are supposed to be homemade but whoever made it, did not add much flavor to it and their chicken salad sandwich was just average. I was a bit worried at the idea of eating at an antique shop but I'm glad I didn't let that deter me. It was a beautiful day outside so we decided to sit at one of their tables out front in their garden which was very pleasant. The service was fast and friendly. I couldn't resist the $1 mimosas so I actually ended up getting a double. I was a bit confused when looking at the menu because it differed quite a bit from what I saw on their website when I checked this morning. I always say a place can not mess up breakfast but they accomplished this. The setting is really cute with the antique shop attached and service was really good. I had egg sampler and the eggs really needed some flavor. Home fries were too soft. The bacon was delicious so I enjoyed that. Come see the antiques but don't stay for breakfast. read more

We went to Rosie's cafe today. We all got coffee , delivered in a paper cup! Coffee had very little flavor . Server was super nice. Then we ordered , my mom got a cheese omelet with home fries and rye toast , she loved her breakfast. I got 2 pancakes, 2 scrambled eggs, bacon and home fries. Pancakes were , what I would call tough. Hard to cut, eggs and home fries and bacon were all good. My husband got pancakes and sausage. Again, pancakes were tough, it must be the batter, cause they were not cooked too much just tough! He said his sausage was good. He did not like that they did not give us butter, but, vegetable spread. And he said syrup was tasteless. So, if you go , order eggs. We will not go back. I need a good cup of coffee. Rosies is a quaint little café/consignment shop. It seems to be an odd combination, but it turns out that it works. Though I didn't spend much time in the consignment shop it looked like it had a lot of neat items to explore. The food is typical deli fair with a mixture of sandwiches, hand held, and strangely enough hotdogs. I had the Dunn Dog with all of the trimmings, including sauerkraut, ketchup, mustard, pickles. It was pretty darn good and it was large, so it did fill me up. My wife had the chicken salad sandwich, which she reported was also very good. The only complaint is that the building across the parking lot had some sort of mechanical issues, and it made a huge, whining noise the whole time we were there. The outdoor seating was very pleasant, except for the noise. Looking at the reviews on here it seems to be either five star or one star. I would favor the higher ratings as it was a very pleasant lunch. read more

OMGOsh I can't believe I didn't know about Rosie's cafe. I found out about it after my hubby and I took a drive to Ormond and wanted to try a locally owned brunch spot. I found Rosie's cafe on Yelp. Reviews were mixed but I wanted to give them a try. I am soooo glad I did. We had a terrific lunch there and it was really special to be in a very cool antique/consignment store. (More on that in another post). I got Grandma's grilled cheese sandwich and potato salad and the $1 mimosa was a surprise. My husband wanted egg salad. They were out so he got the French dip. IT was totally on point! Also the macaroni salad. I was overwhelmed with the choices of classic sodas available and will be back to have an old fashioned ice cream soda! Our family visiting Daytona Beach raves about Rosie's. We went with them and took our dogs and sat outside in the AM. Enjoyed the food, I had grilled 3-cheese on sourdough. Others enjoyed the 3 meat omelet, croissant sandwich, and big cinnamon roll. The service was great here. I was expecting so much more based on reviews. We asked if the corned beef hash was homemade and we were told yes. It was clearly out of a can, mushy and lacked flavor. Home fries were greasy and not seasoned, eggs were cooked fine, but bread was barely toasted. They serve and oil based coffee whitener instead of cream.
