By The Sea has all the beachy cafe vibes you could ever want. It is seriously such a dreamy, cool place! There is a really nice covered patio out front where you can eat and literally listen to the sounds of the ocean waves from the beach right across the street! They have a lot of good breakfast options, and really reasonable prices. Our waitress was super sweet, I think maybe she was the owner? But both her and her husband work there and they were gems. The food was okay. To be honest, it looks better than it tasted in my opinion, but I still enjoyed the meal. The pancakes were huge and fluffy, but they didn't have a ton of taste. I really liked the addition of the apples and cinnamon on them, that was unique and fun. Overall I just loved sitting at this quaint cafe, it was so peaceful and I would definitely come back!

I wish this place were open for dinner too. This is the best breakfast and lunch place we have found here. The owner is a nice lady who makes good herself. They have such a big variety of choices. 5 types of bread, four types of pancakes, etc.. they have a lot of vegetarian options and can accommodate a few vegan options too. I have a stomach ulcer and they brought me a cup of oatmeal with no milk or fruit in it. Also, the waitress Amy did such a good job. She was very attentive and friendly. When we were eating, people were coming out saying they made a right call choosing this place. I guess we are not alone in this.

By the Sea Cafe is the cutest beach cafe! We stopped by Sunday around noon while down here for a wedding. Denise gave us the warmest greeting and let us choose where we wanted to sit. She took our drink order and left us to look over the menu. There is a good amount of food to choose from. We decided breakfast today. I got the short stack of chocolate chip pancakes with a side of bacon. Everything was amazing and the pancakes are huge! I couldn't finish all of them. My bf got the Ocean City Special. He swapped the pancakes for french toast. He got two scrambled eggs with cheese, grits with cheese and bacon. He said it was tremendous. We also split a piece of homemade pumpkin pie which was delicious! We will definitely be coming back here to try their lunch and new dinner menu. You can't beat the view of the ocean! Thank you Denise, Chef and Kennedy for you wonderful hospitality and amazing food.

Finally got to try thus place for breakfast. Every time I drive by it's closed so I wasn't sure if it was preeminently shut down. Anyhow, we got breakfast and ordered the Brutus (something or another) which was hash browns loaded with cheese and an egg. This was super simple but good! The potatoes were cooked well I just wish the cheese was a bit more melted. Also got the breakfast with eggs, hash browns, bacon and blueberry pancakes. The bacon was really good and cooked perfectly, just wish there was more than 2 tiny pieces. The pancakes were also good, very fluffy and had fresh blueberries; would have been nice if the whipped cream was homemade. The only downside was the coffee...it was bitter and not enjoyable. We sat outside and it was a very laid back and nice vibe with ocean views.

So awful. I had to send my first order back as it was overcooked. I ordered something else. They said they would rush it. I couldn't even finish it. Hash browns were just a greasy mess. In their defense, they took it off the bill, but the only good thing about that place was the view and the local cat. And glass plates in the photos? Yeah those don't exist. Paper plates, and styrofoam cups.

Saw this little cafe by the beach and decided to give it a try. We ordered Country Eggs Benedict, blueberry pancakes, and a side of hash browns. After a long wait, we got our food and let me say we were more then disappointed. The country eggs benedict had no flavor and soggy but the muffin was hard. The hash browns were burnt. Pancakes were good. Service was not very good.

Flagler Beach, found this place by accident and fell in love with it so I spent the night on the beach in my truck. Next morning I found By The Sea Cafe I had egg Beni. The food was the best and the people are so friendly it was like having breakfast with my friendly neighbors that really enjoy cooking. I almost didn't want to give a review because this place is so heavenly I don't want it to get spoiled.

We called over about 20 min before closing and they graciously took our to go order and made sure we had everything we wanted. The BBQ sandwich was great, and the staff was friendly.

Repeat visit, not the same experience to be clear. Food was ok, not special. A tad slow today as well. YMMV, and I hope it will.

Very good food, the wait was a little long but the staff was friendly and they were giving away free thanksgiving to travelers.

We walked into this cozy little establishment and were welcomed immediately. The service was wonderful and the owner and her daughter made it a point to make us feel at home. My husband ordered a freshly squeezed orange juice that was the sweetest I've ever tasted. He went traditional with eggs, toast and bacon which were all cooked to perfection and I had the baked avocado which was hands down one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. I'm a savory girl and try to eat healthy when possible so this was perfect for me. The baked avocado was stuffed with eggs, cheese, and crispy bacon on top which was nestled on a bed of fresh crisp lettuce, tomato, green onion and a fresh tangy dressing that gave it the perfect balance of acid that it needed. Cutting into the avocado was my favorite part to get to that beautiful runny yolk. So many crepe choices too. I can't wait to go back next time we are here visiting to try something else!

After eating, we had an uber that was 3 minutes away and they wouldn't let us wait there at the table after spending almost $150 on breakfast. The waiter rudely asked us to wait outside when the weather was not favorable to waiting outside.
