Feijoada

We went on a Saturday and had an authentic feijoada. It was a 15 minutes from where we were staying in Daytona Beach. We felt so welcomed by people working at this Brazilian cafe but it was the food who really hugged our souls.

Above, croquette. Below feijao tropeio.

The food was absolutely amazing and fresh. This family owned cafe is a great fine. My husband and I truly enjoyed our meals.

Holy. Holy. Moly. Where do I even begin?! This is hands-down the best place ever for such…read morewonderfully unholy goodness, and I say that as a very happy, very loyal repeat customer. We've gotten so addicted to this place that stopping here on our way out of town has become an absolute ritual. We can't help ourselves--and honestly, we wouldn't want to. Every single flavor is uniquely its own, thoughtfully crafted, and outrageously delicious. This visit, I had my all-time favorite: coconut with sprinkles--and wow. One bite in and I was completely surprised by the rich, creamy interior that tasted like pure coconut cream pie heaven. It was decadent, perfectly balanced, and downright unforgettable. If I were only allowed one dessert spot for the rest of my life, this would be it. No question. I've tried numerous flavors over multiple visits, and every single one has been amazing in its own way. There hasn't been a single miss--just hit after hit of pure dessert joy. Honestly, I'm probably not even writing this coherently at this point because I'm still buzzing with excitement thinking about it. That's how good it is. My wife picked up one of their cool little blue bags, and now it comes back with us every visit so we can fill it up again. At this point, I think we need more bags--one is clearly not enough. These desserts are perfect for any occasion... or no occasion at all. Add in the great ambiance, genuinely amazing service, and desserts that deliver a little taste of heaven in every single bite, and you've got something truly special. Do yourself a favor: you have to try this place. Just be warned--you'll be hooked, just like we are.

In fact they have other items and options for sale that will help to make your celebration complete. Service is always pleasant and helpful. On this particular occasion, I stopped in to purchase my husband a delicious birthday treat. I grabbed numerical candles too! I knew that he'd enjoy the personal-sized pumpkin spice bundt cake, which is a seasonal flavor. They have many other flavors and sizes as well. You'll definitely find an option for your own needs. The good news is that the cakes taste great too. What a treat!

If you put their beef on a subway roll it would not be good. Beef was tender and the onions and peppers melted in my mouth. Very busy but still pretty fast considering in was Daytona 500 Weekend and it was slammed. About as complete italian market as you can get. Very mom and pop and the quality showed. Prices were pretty good and you get what you pay for. We loved our sandwiches and could only eat about 3/4 as they were pretty big. Just loved this place and all of the locals said that this was THE place to go. They were right. The owner going around asking if we needed anything was the icing on the cake. It is service like this that makes people remember this place. This place should make it in NY or NJ with no problem and they don't have the attitude. Very friendly , and Thank You for the great food and the hospitality.

Well - that's exactly what we encountered! This place is also a bakery with some fabulous looking desserts as well as an Italian grocer. We did have to wait for our sandwiches and there was no room to sit so we took our sandwiches and ate in the car. The 8" sandwiches were so hearty that we ate half for lunch and polished off the other half for dinner. So very good!

Starting with the front door, then noticed the walls, floors, tables, and the ice cream coolers...all dirty, but wait it gets better. While waiting for my scoop, one of the employees grabbed a spoon, dipped it in one of the the ice cream gallon and started eating ice cream in front of the customers like this was normal to do. Lastly, my ice cream was not solid kind of melting so that tells me that the coolers are not at the right temperature. I was really looking forward to enjoying my ice cream and this place. Both a disappointment. This review is based on my personal experience, and I will not be returning.
