We found this diner based on Yelp reviews, and our fellow Yelpers guided us well! Jenisa's Diner is located in a small strip mall in Ormond Beach. We stopped in for a late breakfast meetup with family. Our party of 5 was seated immediately and the servers were quick to move an extra table over to give us plenty of room. The menu has all the usual breakfast and lunch fare, along with some Mediterranean options, which were a nice surprise. You can even order Turkish coffee, an unfiltered espresso, which comes with extra water and a gelled sugar cube. It's an acquired taste! Lol. I chose the Macedonian Breakfast platter, a lighter option with two scrambled eggs mixed with roasted peppers in sauce with small side dishes of black olives, dill gherkins, feta cheese and pita triangles. It was a pleasing and tasty option. The black olives were a little on the small side and wrinkled, but were not strong tasting. The feta was a mild version, not as briny as you find in stores. The pita was warm and fresh! My husband had the King's platter which included 4 triangles of French toast, two eggs, and 3 slices of bacon (or sausage). He said everything was "perfect." My brother tried the Denver Omelette, a sizable portion served with hash browns and toast. He ate every bit! My sister and brother-in-law also enjoyed their omelettes and French Toast with strawberries, bananas and Nutella. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!!!! This place hasn't been open long but it is fantastic! We have been wanting to try it and popped in for a late Saturday breakfast. It was busy but we were seated right away. Paola our server was very friendly, professional and attentive. ALL the servers (and Jenisa the owner) look out for EVERY table's needs - very impressive. Hubs had the meat lover's omelet with whole wheat toast and hash browns. As opposed to many places, the omelet had plenty of meat (ham, bacon, and sausage) in every bite, the toast was perfectly buttered, and he even ate some of the hash browns which he usually doesn't like (I took 1/2 before he could say no). I had two blueberry pancakes - SO light and fluffy and airy and FULL of juicy blueberries - possibly the best pancakes I've ever had in a restaurant!! I asked for very crispy bacon and it was perfectly cooked. And yes, the hash browns I stole from hubby were delicious! Can't wait to return and try several other things on the menu for both breakfast and lunch (eying the Macedonian breakfast platter, the Nutella waffle, and a gyro sandwich for the future!) Huge place, lots of seatings. Friendly server, can't recall her name. Had the Blueberry pancake with Bacon, they use fresh Blueberries and lots of them. My granddaughter had the Chicken and waffles, she said that the waffles were fluffy and great as well as for the chicken which were huge. Can't wait to go back and try something different. read more

This was my first time at Jenisa's diner. I chose to go there mostly for the Mediterranean aspect of food specifically the Turkish coffee and gyros. When I arrived, I was told I could sit anywhere so I chose a booth at the front of the restaurant. I was immediately approached by a waitress named Sarah. She was very upbeat and pleasant. When she asked me what I would like I told her I would like to start with a Turkish coffee, which she said that was awesome and then I ordered the gyro skillet with a side of sausage gravy. I asked for the sausage gravy because I accompanied it with a biscuit and that way I got my craving satisfied the food was nice and hot. It was very tasty. Someone came over and asked me if everything was OK and I said yes towards the end of my meal and when I was finished, I had to ask someone for the check, I waited for several minutes nothing happened. I did not receive the check. I became frustrated and so I left cash on the table. Overall, the experience was good except the part at the end when I had to wait for the check, I'm not sure what happened. I may go back again to give them a second chance. read more

Everything was amazing. The food tasted great. The service was great. Very friendly staff! Price wasn't too bad either. Well worth the visit, and it's near by so we will be back more often. Definitely would recommend. Only thing that was negative was this pickup truck driver who saw us trying to remove our child from our car and just couldn't wait for us to finish getting our child out the car. Came here with friends for breakfast and had a great meal. Two of us had veggie omelets and the other two had pancakes and we all loved our food. We needed a quick lunch on our visit to Ormond Beach and the word "Diner" caught our eye. It was a new restaurant, spotlessly clean (including the restroom!) and the food was delicious.
