I hate to give great reviews because the places get so busy you can't get seated in a decent time. In this case I will I had calamari to start, which was excellent, followed up with a mahi sandwich, which had a very nice piece of fish on it put for $19 which should be. As a side dish, I chose the macaroni and cheese, which I thought was very good as well and Mrs. had the tuna salad, which she very much enjoyed but said it was a little spicy. I will admit that the place is still a little loud as the Hardscapes allow all the sounds to bounce off and of course they have a cash price in a credit card price Our weight staff was very good. Good could've been a tad better but seen that she was a bartender as well. I guess you have to keep your patrons at the bar happy with conversation. Definitely skimped on the crab amount in the seafood boil. It was clearly not the same amount as all the other people. Everyone else at the table had 1 whole crab and I only had a half of one. They claimed it was based on weight, but a half crab versus a whole crab is very clearly a different weight. We asked the waiter, she never came back with an answer. We followed up on it again, and the issue was never rectified. She just said "oh you think it's small?" with an uncaring reply. Asked for check like 5 times. Place was NOT packed at all, so disappointed in how lackluster the service was. I won't name the server out of respect. Food was decent at least, so I'll give in on the 2 stars. read more

We figured 3 months should be enough time to work out the kinks for a new restaurant. Apparently, we were wrong. We started out ordering a bowl of chowder, dozen steamed oysters, artichoke spinach dip and a bowl of chowder. We asked the waitress to bring out whatever was ready as soon as possible. The beer came out very quickly but, not the food. By the way, there is no beer menu. When the server came back to check on us, we asked if anything was ready. And she said not yet. So we inquired "not even the soup"? So she went and checked and came right back out with the soup and artichoke spinach dip. Well, the soup must have been sitting for a while because it was lukewarm but the artichoke spinach dip was piping hot. Next we ordered the seafood boil. The andouille sausage was very spicy and there was not a lot of shrimp, a fair amount of clams, corn on the cob, potatoes and a good amount of crab legs. We suggested to the waitress that they might want to think about getting some bibs and gloves for this seafood boil, as that's how we're used to being served in most seafood restaurants for boils. The manager came by to collect some of our empty plates and made some type of crack about the oysters being an aphrodisiac as he cleared the plates. Anyway, we decided to order ten wings and another beer. Well, when the wings came out, they were burnt to a crisp and hard as a rock. We let the server know and she sent the manager over to take a look, even though we told her that wasn't necessary. So here is an opportunity to make things right? The manager offered to give us a free beer. But when I told them I'd already had 2, and that was enough, he said "oh, 2 is your limit?" Yeah, 1 Beach Hippie and 1 Yuengling was enough for me and besides, the Beach Hippie was intendedto go with the wings! He took the wings away, offered to remake them and said he'd speak to the chef. At this point we were ready for the check. The server made a point of letting us know the wings would be removed from our bill. Yeah, we were kind of expecting that since we didn't eat any of them, or even taste them. Anyway, the proper thing to do probably would have been to comp one of the beers that we had already drank, at the very least. We noticed there was a charge on the bill for a dollar for an "Open Food". When we inquired to the server what that was for she said it had something to do with an extra butter we had ordered for the food. No clue exactly what that meant. So, there's a sign on the tables, do a google or yelp review and receive a free appetizer in your next visit. Common sense would say they could have comped the appetizer on this visit. Needless to say, this is probably one and done for us. We do a lot of reviews, as you can see, and prefer to leave positive reviews over negative reviews. This place has a lot of positive reviews, which is what got us tere in the first place. $125 lunch for 2 people left us totally underwhelmed. Trying out Florida Seafood, going for Happy Hour drinks and half off appetizers. Well worth it!! We were planning on sitting outside but then came the rain. We were seated at a table and a sweet friendly young lady came and greeted us, letting us know she was going to get our drinks but our server was running late. She was just a pleasure!! We asked if house margaritas were half price, she went to check and said yes they are, so we ordered 2 house margaritas on the rocks with salt. Shortly afterwards our server Daysha came to greet us. After our drinks were brought out we ordered Tuna Nachos, Buffalo Shrimp and Fish Dip, all half off. It did take a long time for our server to check on us, we wanted another round and had to track her down to get her attention. The drinks and food were delicious! The buffalo shrimp (also known as bang bang shrimp) was not spicy/hot at all but the shrimp was very good. I never had fish dip before but I really liked it, it is served with crackers which broke easily maybe tortilla chips or wong tong chips may have held up better? The Tuna Nachos absolutely delicious!! There are plenty of large screen tvs with sports on and it is very loud inside the restaurant. Hopefully next time we can eat outside and the noise will be not as loud. We will be back to try again in their outdoor dining. We did enjoy our food and drinks but should have had better service from our server Daysha just as the table across from us did. Would have been 5* but for our service 4* read more

This restaurant is so pretty inside I love the prop decor and the painted sea life tru out the restaurant. They have 2 bar set ups in which one of them has partial sitting outside. I sat at the Bar and the service was immediate. I had the Mahi Mahi sandwich it was absolutely delicious. It was a meaty piece of Mahi Mahi that was moist and cooked to satisfy your palate. I chose the fried option which was nice and crispy yet the fish was soft and chewy but meaty. I clement sandwich definitely get another one. read more

A nice start to a new seafood restaurant in the Ormond Beach trails Plaza. This location has been multiple restaurants ever since the original Panera over a decade ago. Everyone though has only lasted one year. Let's hope this one does better. The official opening is May 1 and the menu looks very good. We were there the day before opening so we have not tried it as of yet, but it looks like they've done a nice job inside at renovating the previous restaurant and they still have a nice bar in the center. I'm sure my wife and I will be trying it shortly and I will let you know and update my review. read more

Everything was phenomenal starting with our server Jolee. She was attentive, hard working, and beyond nice. The ahi tuna nachos were delicious and for half off at happy hour you can't beat it! The service was good, but the food is not. Conch fritters had essentially zero conch and what was there was tough and flavorless. Seafood stuffed mushrooms were some sort of mush without detectable seafood and an unpleasant flavor. Flounder sandwich was a mushy white fish that was not flounder and the soup was not horrible, but was watery and had very little flavor. read more

Our 1st time to Florida Seafood restaurant and it won't be our last. It was amazing! Giving it 5 stars for the food, the service, the ambiance! Our server, Joely, treated us right! She took really good care of us, explained the menu, & recommended different dishes to us. My hubby & I had the coconut shrimp appetizer (half off during happy hour) and honestly, it was THE best coconut shrimp we've ever had. However, the restaurant was SO LOUD with people and music that I couldn't hear the person talking next to me, and my hearing is fine ;) also the 2times I've been there more than one of us had stomach issues after. Don't. If you have a choice that are looking for food, I would suggest going elsewhere. We had lunch there today. The salmon was reasonable. The rice and beans were served as one lump and the hush puppies had been under the warming ovens at least for a week. The best part of the meal were the draft Guinness and the white wine. read more

All the four and five star ratings surprise the heck out of me. All the "better" restaurants had no availability. I heard somebody talk about this place and blindly suggested it. Very embarrassed. 95° outside, the doors were open, air-conditioning ineffective. No calamari, just breading. Charged extra and separately for celery with dressing. Never saw a restaurant do that. This property must be cursed. This is the third restaurant in the same location in very few years. I won't be trying the fourth, which will likely be very soon. read more

Drinks were good and reasonably priced. Special appetizer was very good. Entrees were a mix, the salmon was good but overloaded with mango salsa. The shrimp scampi didn't have a lot of flavor and the shrimp were a bit overcooked. Service was ok, our server was one of the bartenders so not overly attentive but very nice and did check in on us. We were here on a Saturday evening and they had a live band who was good but way too loud. We were on the patio and it was loud out there. Took almost 2 hours to get our meal and still had to send one order back. This was out first visit to the restaurant which just recently opened and we were pleasantly surprised. Being that it was an on and off thunder and downpour day, it wasn't as crowded as I would have expected. I'm hoping because it has been open less then a month, people in the area aren't aware of it just yet. The atmosphere and staff are really nice. The food looked and tasted great!
