Brand new place and looked like it had quite the selection on the menu. Had to try it. Started off with a blue moon beer. Thinking of an appetizer but thought ok that would be alot. Need to come back later for those. Candyce had a cheeseburger with a side of Brussel sprouts. I tried the sprouts. Really good side. I had the shrimp BLT. really good and tasty sauce to on tge sandwich. Fries for the side. Yes definitely will be back. Need to try the dinner menu. They have a prime rib on the menu can't pass that up

This is not a cold water or northern lobster!

I got a flier in the mail and decided to try it. I thought the food was ok, service was good. Very loud sports bar atmosphere. But I ordered a lobster tail and was assured it was a cold water or northern lobster. It was not. I asked the waitress about it and she was told it was a northern or cold water lobster. Management might want to inform their waitstaff of this.

Trying out Florida Seafood, going for Happy Hour drinks and half off appetizers. Well worth it!! We were planning on sitting outside but then came the rain. We were seated at a table and a sweet friendly young lady came and greeted us, letting us know she was going to get our drinks but our server was running late. She was just a pleasure!! We asked if house margaritas were half price, she went to check and said yes they are, so we ordered 2 house margaritas on the rocks with salt. Shortly afterwards our server Daysha came to greet us. After our drinks were brought out we ordered Tuna Nachos, Buffalo Shrimp and Fish Dip, all half off. It did take a long time for our server to check on us, we wanted another round and had to track her down to get her attention. The drinks and food were delicious! The buffalo shrimp (also known as bang bang shrimp) was not spicy/hot at all but the shrimp was very good. I never had fish dip before but I really liked it, it is served with crackers which broke easily maybe tortilla chips or wong tong chips may have held up better? The Tuna Nachos absolutely delicious!! There are plenty of large screen tvs with sports on and it is very loud inside the restaurant. Hopefully next time we can eat outside and the noise will be not as loud. We will be back to try again in their outdoor dining. We did enjoy our food and drinks but should have had better service from our server Daysha just as the table across from us did. Would have been 5* but for our service 4*

We figured 3 months should be enough time to work out the kinks for a new restaurant. Apparently, we were wrong. We started out ordering a bowl of chowder, dozen steamed oysters, artichoke spinach dip and a bowl of chowder. We asked the waitress to bring out whatever was ready as soon as possible. The beer came out very quickly but, not the food. By the way, there is no beer menu. When the server came back to check on us, we asked if anything was ready. And she said not yet. So we inquired "not even the soup"? So she went and checked and came right back out with the soup and artichoke spinach dip. Well, the soup must have been sitting for a while because it was lukewarm but the artichoke spinach dip was piping hot. Next we ordered the seafood boil. The andouille sausage was very spicy and there was not a lot of shrimp, a fair amount of clams, corn on the cob, potatoes and a good amount of crab legs. We suggested to the waitress that they might want to think about getting some bibs and gloves for this seafood boil, as that's how we're used to being served in most seafood restaurants for boils. The manager came by to collect some of our empty plates and made some type of crack about the oysters being an aphrodisiac as he cleared the plates. Anyway, we decided to order ten wings and another beer. Well, when the wings came out, they were burnt to a crisp and hard as a rock. We let the server know and she sent the manager over to take a look, even though we told her that wasn't necessary. So here is an opportunity to make things right? The manager offered to give us a free beer. But when I told them I'd already had 2, and that was enough, he said "oh, 2 is your limit?" Yeah, 1 Beach Hippie and 1 Yuengling was enough for me and besides, the Beach Hippie was intendedto go with the wings! He took the wings away, offered to remake them and said he'd speak to the chef. At this point we were ready for the check. The server made a point of letting us know the wings would be removed from our bill. Yeah, we were kind of expecting that since we didn't eat any of them, or even taste them. Anyway, the proper thing to do probably would have been to comp one of the beers that we had already drank, at the very least. We noticed there was a charge on the bill for a dollar for an "Open Food". When we inquired to the server what that was for she said it had something to do with an extra butter we had ordered for the food. No clue exactly what that meant. So, there's a sign on the tables, do a google or yelp review and receive a free appetizer in your next visit. Common sense would say they could have comped the appetizer on this visit. Needless to say, this is probably one and done for us. We do a lot of reviews, as you can see, and prefer to leave positive reviews over negative reviews. This place has a lot of positive reviews, which is what got us tere in the first place. $125 lunch for 2 people left us totally underwhelmed. Perhaps this was just an off day for the server, the manager and the chef?

This restaurant is so pretty inside I love the prop decor and the painted sea life tru out the restaurant. They have 2 bar set ups in which one of them has partial sitting outside. I sat at the Bar and the service was immediate. I had the Mahi Mahi sandwich it was absolutely delicious. It was a meaty piece of Mahi Mahi that was moist and cooked to satisfy your palate. I chose the fried option which was nice and crispy yet the fish was soft and chewy but meaty. I clement sandwich definitely get another one.

A nice start to a new seafood restaurant in the Ormond Beach trails Plaza. This location has been multiple restaurants ever since the original Panera over a decade ago. Everyone though has only lasted one year. Let's hope this one does better. The official opening is May 1 and the menu looks very good. We were there the day before opening so we have not tried it as of yet, but it looks like they've done a nice job inside at renovating the previous restaurant and they still have a nice bar in the center. I'm sure my wife and I will be trying it shortly and I will let you know and update my review.

    Naked chicken wings.

Small portion of shrimp scampi absolutely the best I ever had. Husband had white Mac and cheese and naked wings. Best wings he has ever had. Very juicy and meaty. Mac and cheese is to die for. We love coming to Florida Seafood Co. Service excellence as always.

Everything was delicious! We enjoyed every dish. We tried the coconut shrimp, they were insane good. The fish dip beats some of the best I've had from the Florida Keys! I'm a local so I can tell you. Calamari was good. Hush Puppies are fresh and stellar. We had a Floseaco Chowder it was very delicious. All in all we loved the restaurant and the ambiance. It's nice and clean and there was live music today Sunday at 4 pm. The menu is extensive with a great selection of appetizers including dinner specials even sushi! I think we finally found our seafood home in Ormond Beach.

    Terrific,yummy to the tummy!!!

What a great find! We visited Macker Seafood on the 4th of July and had a wonderful experience…read more Everything tasted incredibly fresh. The clam chowder was rich, hearty, and loaded with clams and other delicious ingredients. We also took advantage of their happy hour special with $1 raw oysters, which were fresh and delicious. The fried fish and fried shrimp specials were both excellent--lightly battered, perfectly cooked, plump, and juicy. We paired everything with a couple of beers and sweet tea, and it made for a fantastic meal. The service was outstanding. Lauren, our server, was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Brian and Mama were also so welcoming and accommodating, making us feel right at home. We really enjoyed the laid-back atmosphere, the clean restaurant (including the spotless restroom), and the background music, which was at just the right volume. We'll definitely be back. Highly recommend Macker Seafood if you're looking for fresh seafood, great service, and a relaxed dining experience!

We had chowder, raw oysters, lightly blackened mahi-mahi and peel/eat shrimp. No complaints with any. Peel/eat shrimp came with potatoes and corn, too-- nice surprise. Mahi-mahi came with tasty fries. Just a simple little place with basic menu; I guess I was hoping for a bit more variety and different dishes, this being the 3rd day of seafood fest! No complaints at all, but there are other places in the area with very good seafood, full bar, seating on the water, etc. (I thought this place could probably charge much more, being just as it is, if it were anywhere near the actual beach or waterway).

I stopped by River Grille for lunch. It was a nice large casual restaurant with outside seating…read moreoverlooking the Tomoka River where boaters can dock and dine. I chose to sit outside (something I normally don't do) since it wasn't very humid. River Grille offers a diverse menu that mixes a bit of Cajun influence with southern cooking. I placed an order for the Bayou Hurricane, some gator bites, and Citrus Bourbon Salmon served with my choice of two sides (red beans & rice and garlic mashed potatoes). As I was enjoying my refreshing cocktail, the server brought out the gator bites. It was my first time trying them, and they were actually the best thing I've ever tasted. The Cajun remoulade complemented the texture of the alligator, which was fried perfectly and wasn't chewy. The deliciousness continued with the salmon. It was grilled nicely and topped with a tasty sweet citrus bourbon bbq sauce and onion strings. The red beans & rice was cooked to a soft consistency and the mashed potatoes was creamy and flavorful. I would describe my outdoor dining experience as pleasurable --that is, until a squirrel appeared and started going around the tables as if it were a regular patron. It was all smiles until the squirrel climbed up the chair, propped itself on the table, and looked straight at me as if to say, "Hey, you gonna eat the rest of that salmon?" I knew it meant me no harm, so I didn't freak out; however, I wasn't sharing my delicious salmon with it. I slowly grabbed my cocktail with one hand and the plate with the remains of salmon with the other hand as the squirrel scurried toward me. Luckily, two servers saw my predicament and came to shoo the squirrel away. Well, that killed my appetite. I asked for a container for the leftovers and ordered dessert to go. Don't get it twisted, I'm not deterred from coming back, it will just be indoors next time.
