Grilled red drum sandwich (yes, I had on cheese on it lol) and a side of cheesy grit cake. Very good!
Allie H.

Visited Flagler Fish Company on a recent trip to the area. It was my first time in and I was pleasantly surprised! The food and service were both great. Brad was my awesome waiter. He, and the gentleman that delivered my food to the table, were both great at getting my order out accurately, quickly, and hot and also checking in. I had a grilled red drum sandwich and delicious cheesy grit cake and of the biggest slice of key lime pie I've ever seen for dessert! Highly recommend all. As for the ambiance, eh I sat outside facing the hotel next door but it was fine. I look forward to visiting again on my next trip.

Menu, not their usual!

Wow! The restaurant is under renovation but they still managed to pull off an amazing meal. They currently only have outdoor seating and a limited menu but the outdoor heaters and the incredible food still make it worth your while. The service is superb. You know they are working hard as they are wearing shorts and it's chilly in February. We had smoked fish dip to start and then three of us had fish tacos and one had the cod. We were all raving. We wish them well with their renovation and can't wait to see what the renovation looks like! Please support them so we can keep an awesome restaurant going.

Fried shrimp app

Food was fantastic. I combined 2 apps for my entree and was very happy, fried shrimp and fried green tomatoes. Other orders were the red fish and salmon. Everyone was pleased. The spinach side was delicious as well. We've been to this restaurant every time we visit Palm Coast. This is now located in a new location. Not too crazy about the new space. It has its pros and cons. It's got a view and it's got a funky vibe all good, but the space is dingy and tables and surfaces were sticky. The main dining rooms were very noisy so we sat outside. The volume was way better out there. I think the sound bounced off the walls inside. Shout out to Brad, our server, very attentive and he was efficient and checked in without being obnoxious. Perfect. Glad to see this restaurant lasting and serving the community for all these years. Good job.

Blacked fish sandwich of the day

Have been a few times and it never disappoints. I didn't get a picture of them, but they have the best crab cakes I have ever eaten. Filled with crab and not too much breading. Lightly pan fired, they were delicious. I had the blacked fish sandwich and my boyfriend had the A1A. Both were incredible. I love the thin crispy fries. Not crazy about the vibes at this location compared to the original. Excited for the renovation to finish up. Patio was dog friendly, we brought our two pups.

A fun, laid-back spot with great views and chill vibes. It's not fancy, but that's part of the charm--think relaxed, beach-shack energy that feels calm and low-key. The staff is welcoming and friendly, which really adds to the experience. With a little more flavor it could be even better, but overall it's an enjoyable place to kick back and take in the scenery.

The Flagler fish company has been perfectly delicious every time I have visited. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed!

Saturday November 29th at 6:45 PM. Strike 1: The gas burner is out so we can't make the sautéed spinach side. Strike 2: We are out of the lobster bisque. Then they comped us an appetizer which was nice, but then. Strike 3: A large green bug served up in a spinach salad. It wasn't on top it came crawling out! 1st experience he was great but after this 2nd won't likely ever go back.

Fish Tacos and slaw

I stopped into Flagler Fish Company looking for some fresh seafood on a beautiful evening in Flagler Beach. Most of the outside tables were taken, so I sat at the bar with Ashtyn and Desiree. Ashtyn recommended the fish tacos and a side of cole slaw. While I waited, Desiree recommended a light craft beer from Jacksonville. Delicious! The tacos came out and as you can see in the photo, it was an epic taco with large chunks of white flaky fresh fish with a side of purple cabbage and onion slaw. Then best slaw I've ever tasted. The tacos were on spot and tasted great. We sat and talked and I brought up their local made fish dip. Desiree suggested I taste the clam dip (also house made). She brought some out on a plate with a few homemade kettle chips. Wow! Great. Desiree said she mixes the clam and fish dip together for taste. I'll try that next time. A great place for great food and company. A must stop if you love seafood and great servers!

Second visit to Next Door Beach Bistro and once again -- phenomenal…read more Last night I ordered the Beef Bourguignon with cream potatoes, and it was everything this classic French dish should be. The beef was incredibly tender, slow-braised in a rich red wine reduction with pearl onions and mushrooms. The cream potatoes underneath were smooth, buttery, and perfect for soaking up that sauce. Every bite was delicious. We started with the Filet Carpaccio, thinly sliced and topped with shaved parmesan, capers, arugula, and crostini. Fresh, light, and beautifully plated. The bar program deserves its own mention. You can order a vodka soda anywhere, but here they elevate every drink with presentation and detail. Instead of a simple lime wedge, I watched drinks come out with full lime rounds resting on the rim. My Chocolate Martini dessert drink was practically artwork -- topped with a dehydrated orange slice, chocolate shavings, orange zest, and crossed chocolate-dipped sticks. It looked incredible and tasted even better. Atmosphere is another win here. Guests ranged from cocktail dresses to casual beachside attire and somehow it all fit perfectly. That balance is hard to achieve, but they've nailed it. We sat on the patio (about 67°) and they had the panels down, which kept it comfortable while still letting you enjoy the beachside atmosphere. Even the hallway to the restrooms was lined with art -- thoughtful details everywhere. Some restaurants look great but don't deliver on flavor. Others taste great but lack atmosphere. This place does both exceptionally well. Dinner for two with drinks came to $131 before tip, which felt very fair for the quality of food, cocktails, and overall experience. Looking forward to visit number three.

The drink menu has so many good options. We tried the espresso martini, lavender martini and an extra dirty martini. All were delicious! The ambiance was really nice. They played a great mix of top 40. Lights were kept low and the seating was comfortable. Tables were close but not on top of each other. I took advantage of their prix fixe weekday special. It was such a great deal! Available Sunday through Thursday 3 to close. I had the lobster bisque that comes with a delicious sliced baguette and the sherry on the side, the salmon frites for the entree which was amazing and the chocolate mousse for dessert. All of this was $39! The quality and care that goes into their dishes is evident. I can't wait to go back and try their seafood pot pie! Service was great! Our server had a great personality and helped us with recommendations. It was great experience!

Not many people out n about so I couldn't really get a vibe for what the place would be like when it gets busy. But it was a great spot for breakfast and we sat on the rooftop area inside so it was covered from the rain, but I can't wait to go back someday for the outside ocean front deck, even closer to the water. I ordered the Irish Benedicte with hash that is homemade on premise with slow roasted corned beef. Very tasty. The side of Home fries were thinly sliced and I had gravy added to that so it was tasty too. Our server was excellent, Trevor was a very nice guy and he recommended we come back for the all you can eat ribs. I wish I was staying in town longer and I would. I'll make a point to come back next visit.

You order at the counter, and the young lady helping us was super nice and very helpful. I grabbed a canned soda, but learned they have tea with free refills--definitely trying that next time. She even offered a cup of ice for my soda, which was thoughtful. Since they're on the beach side, straws are paper. For food, I had the tomato bisque soup--great presentation and nice flavor, though I personally would have loved it a bit creamier. I also tried the goat cheese crostini. The flavor was good, but it was served on a basic toast. I think it would really pop on a sturdier, toasted bread for a better texture contrast with the creamy goat cheese. The space itself is simple and beachy. They have about 7-8 tables, with bench seating on one side and chairs on the other. Heads up: no padding, so if you're like some of my family, you may want to bring a cushion (LOL). We didn't feel rushed at all even though they close at 3pm, and it was nice to enjoy our meal and conversation without feeling hurried. Parking can be tricky in this area, but we found a spot across the street and walked over. All in all, Vessel makes for a pleasant, casual spot for lunch. I'd definitely come back to try more of the menu!

I have to be honest, we were trying to get into a restaurant down the street and when we got there,…read morethere was an hour long wait and we decided not to eat there. It was clearly a hotspot that everybody loved. So we started wandering down the street and just came up upon this place. Now, I live my life by the phrase "sex is like Pizza, even if it's bad it's still pretty good." But I have to say this pizza was delicious. It far exceed my expectations. It was a thick crust and locally sourced ingredients. It was fresh, the sauce had a great flavor. They even had things like dipping sauces like a hot honey sauce, which was fantastic. One of my daughters had a shrimp Caesar salad salad that she said was amazing. (warning: it's raw shrimp, not grilled or anything which is fantastic, but just so you know). My other daughter had lasagna and she said it was delicious. I had the pepperoni pizza and my wife had the ham and cheese pizza. With some crushed red pepper and hot honey sauce I ate every bit of it. Also, they had delirium beer, which helped wash it down perfectly. Five stars? I give it six or seven if I could. I'll be back soon. Anytime we come to this area. I will definitely be here. You may have to map it to this place though, there's no signage outside, but you could see the glow of the blue light logo on the inside. Don't miss it.

Today's visit was a surprisingly wonderful experience for me and a friend. It was her first time joining me for lunch. As you enter, there was a bit of a wait before being seated. Normally, this wouldn't have mattered too much, however we were very hungry. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, minimalistic, and very clean. I know that sounds a little strange since everything looked nearly new as if the eatery recently opened. The view of the ocean can be seen through the full length glass windows. It should be mentioned that there is outdoor seating as well. One of customers had a charcuterie board filled with so many appetizing delights. Not only was it pleasant to look at, the selections included three types of cheeses, olives, chickpeas, sweet grapes, and more. So delish to see and eat! We ordered one and it truly did not disappoint. The name? The Faro Charcuterie Board. It's a great starter! I had the Grilled Cheese and Pesto Panini that fit right in with the charcuterie. Everything was so delectable and pleasing to the eye. My friend had the lasagna that she thoroughly enjoyed. She said that having the white sauce instead of tomato was new. She mentioned that it was seasoned perfectly. She, too, enjoyed the board and had Brie for the first time. The service initially was okay. Our server was new to being part of the serving aspects. We were fine but we knew she had more to learn. Our second server, Isabella, was great! We had taken the time to enjoy our meals and even had enough to take home. We will definitely become repeat customers! Give Isabella a shoutout when you check out FARO! Enjoy!

I ordered the grilled chicken and asparagus, which showcased the kitchen's skill. The grilled chicken was a mix of perfection and slight disappointment; one breast was cooked flawlessly, while the thinner piece was a bit dry, ultimately leading me to leave some behind. On the positive side, the asparagus was impeccable--tender yet crisp, a true highlight of the dish. To elevate my meal, I opted for the butter garlic sauce, which was nothing short of exceptional. Its rich flavor was a delightful addition, enhancing the overall dining experience. However, I found the extra charge of $3.00 for a portion that barely covered one chicken breast and two asparagus spears a bit disappointing. The sauce was so delectable that I ended up purchasing an additional container to take home for the asparagus I had left. **Beverages and Ambiance** The Beachy Sangria was another standout, offering a refreshing complement to my meal. It was perfectly balanced and added a delightful touch to our dining experience. The ambiance at Barnhill's is equally noteworthy. Dining outdoors provided us with stunning views of the waves breaking on the shore, making the meal feel even more special. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, enhancing our overall enjoyment. As for the service, it was good and our waitress was friendly. While there were a couple of minor issues, particularly with the chicken and the portion size of the sauce, the overall experience was delightful enough to warrant a return visit. The combination of scrumptious food, refreshing drinks, and a breathtaking view leads me to rate Barnhill's a solid 4 stars. I genuinely look forward to returning and exploring more of their menu.
