This was our second time here for a lovely date night I had the Alle Vongole (clams with linguini pasta) and it blew me away. I cleaned the plate, it was so incredibly delicious. The texture of the pasta alone is to DIE for. The bruschetta was just as perfect and refreshing as the first time we had it, and was actually the main reason we ate here again. Enjoyed a wonderful meal at this restaurant yesterday evening in the European Village just over the Hammock Dunes bridge. Their brushetta special included 3 different types and each was wonderful and in itself was quite filling. I also ordered a soup special that was a salmon corn chowder that was excellent. I know it may sound kinda weird but it was truly delicious and I wish I ordered a pint of it to go and take home for lunch the next day. Wife and I then shared a delicious Wahoo fish dinner special that was excellent. I have been going here for 11 years. Today my wife and I went for our anniversary. The worst decision we made. I tell all my customers to go there. That ends today. My wife's seafood dish over risotto was cold. Sent it back because of it. The risotto was not under it was a side dish. I had the fra diabolo and the sauce was watery and no flavor. I send so many people there. Not anymore. I'm done! The wait staff were incredible and when I arrived at 4:30 they asked if we had a reservation. We did. BUT when we left at 5:45 one table in front. I held a surprise birthday party at La Piazza for my wife. We had 22 guests and the food and service was fantastic. It was also appreciated that Brady had kids of his own and understood the dynamic of bringing their food early and just catered to us in every way. His recommendations were all on point, our Sea Bass, Lasagna, Veal Marsala, and Carbonera pasta were delicious. For dessert, we had the creme brulee, the Almond Cake (delicious) and cappuccino. We highly recommend you go there for a true Italian meal, not a pizza and box pasta/sauce Italian place. The wine is also served at cellar temperature and we can truly appreciate that. What a nice surprise to find a genuine Italian restaurant on my travels. Incredibly welcoming - lovely indoor and outdoor spaces - and fantastic servers. Owner Larry was incredibly attentive and made the evening better. Encrusted lamb was cooked perfectly - Scallops to die for and a Bolognase that tasted home cooked with care. Wine list was excellent and reasonable. Low markup and nice selection. Wine available to take out as well at very reasonable cost. Lobster Bruchetta was a winner! The entrées came with a salad if you could call it that. It is a bowl of fresh greens, but it was a little less exciting. We ordered two entrées and both turned out phenomenal. A prosciutto wrapped chicken in a butter, sage sauce, and the chicken piccata. Fantastic entrées. The evening was completed with an amazing roasted almond tiramisu. Went here back in October 2021 for my 5 year anniversary with my boyfriend and all I can say is WOW. This lovely Italian place is located in the European Village along the Palm Coast of Florida. The restaurant is inside of this small village like square which lends it's name to being called "European Village". We had the option of eating inside or outside. The weather being beautiful as it was, we chose to sit outside. The menu is expensive, but that's to be expected of this kind of restaurant and location. The food was fantastic! Everything was flavorful and filling. The service was fantastic and always stopping by to see how we were doing. So I'm giving a 4/5 due to a few things. Pros: veal piccata was awesome. Add a little more lemon The bread was hot and fresh. My stepmom got the chicken Marsala and loved it as well Cons:the house salad dressing was amazing but it literally was a bunch of greens. No veggies and you pay to add cheese. The service left a lot to be desired. We got there at opening and the waitress had 2 table only including us. She was absent and felt like she cared about the regulars behind us. We walked in early without a reservation Saturday, Mach 2, 2023 and were promptly seated at a table near a window where we could watch the people passing by outside. The bread they served with oilive oil and basaltic vinegar had a wonderful fired that was just the right crunch when loaded with olive oil and herbs. I am extremely disappointed with our experience at La Piazza Cafe. I was one of the 22 guests to celebrate Birthday, and from the start, the service was unbearably slow. When guests arrived, no food or drinks were served--we had to run around and beg for attention. The portions were noticeably smaller than when I dined there before, and the food quality was far from its best. To make matters worse, they charged us a 20% gratuity instead of the 18% we were told, along with several hidden fees. When we asked for a wine list, they claimed they didn't have one and later admitted they don't even have a liquor license--such a bizarre situation. Birthday family tried to bring their birthday cake for celebration for what owner said he will charge 5$ for each slice to be served, which is doesn't make any sense. And when we ask for dessert manu they said they don't have it. The worst dine in experience I ever had. Feel bad for my friend's birthday celebration. Will never be coming back.
