Came into town for the weekend for a wedding an picked this place for lunch as it had great reviews. Lunch time there was hardly a crowd so we got serviced right away! What we ordered: Alligator tail 4/5 Fish sandwich with the fish of the day (flounder) 5/5 Shrimp and grits 5/5 Our waiter was super friendly and always kept checking on us. Food came out really fast within like 5-10 minutes. Highly recommend this place if you are ever in the area!

    Catch of the day.

Place was packed, Service was great and to food was even better. Halibut, grits and Brussels sprouts were all cooked to perfection. Amazingly good food.

The atmosphere was great and the food was even better. We went back again the next night because we enjoyed it so much.

New Years Eve we decided on one of our local favorites Hammock Grill by JT's. Arrived early and Glenn was our waiter. He got us started on Mahi bites as an appetizer. Very well cooked and the breading paired great with the dipping sauce. I ordered the New York strip steak with mashed potatoes and green beans. I prefer a medium grilled steak and this thing was perfectly cooked. So juicy and delicious. My wife chose the fried green tomato BLT and fries. She loved the sandwich and fries were seasoned and cooked perfectly. Glenn checked with us for drinks several times so we had a great NYE dinner and was glad to shop local.

The staff and service is great. The food is excellent. It's just a pleasant little gem in this area. We have eaten there twice and will definitely go back before he head back to NC.

Went back for more fun! Ashley & Kyle behind the bar! We shared a house salad and buttermilk chicken with mashed potatoes & collards with a side of gravy! Spot on! Soo good. Sadly our last night in the area. What a send off! Thanks for being such a great spot to stop! See ya next time! Have a good season.

Very lovely service! Greeted and shown to our corner table by the hostess and had another hello fairly quickly by our server. Tried the ribeye and catfish - it came out perfect! They had a tent set up in the back with entertainment for the holiday weekend Tip: happy hour on Saturday too.

Absolutely fabulous. Lunch was superb. Turkey club. Absolutely delicious. Comfortable, relaxing atmosphere. Friendly staff Wonderful afternoon

Disappointing. An eight dollar martini becomes an eleven dollar martini; minus one (half back for a good drink). Catfish fingers appetizer fairly good; had to ask for extra lemon and extra sauce. Catch of the day (flounder) covered in spicy mix, brussels sprouts way too spicy. Catfish platter pretty good; had to ask for extra lemon. Fairly good service. Quite informal atmosphere. Plenty of parking. Spice should complement the dish, not overwhelm it. Collard greens were overcooked and drowned in liquid. Not for me.

We did have clam chowder minus the clams and bits of potato normally found in most every clam chowder. It was essentially a milky broth. The fish sandwich was good. Our choice of Mahi was a nice-sized portion-control piece that had no doubt been purchased and delivered frozen, but to be fair was cooked to our liking. And it came with a large serving of crisp tasty fresh fries. The french dip sandwich was also pretty good. Plenty of shaved meat and a nice pineapple slaw side was more than enough to satisfy us. No complaints unless you thought clam chowder actually oughta have clam and potato in it, or if you were planning to enjoy fresh FL seafood at the 'Turtle Shack'. Instead, enjoy the burgers and the wings and the portion-control fish sandwich and the french dip and ignore the mis-leading name out front.

My friend Angela suggested we try Palm Harbor Grill, where she's had good experiences in the past. The restaurant is located in a strip mall alongside other spots and appears to have been recently renovated. Inside was clean, organized, and nicely decorated. Our waiter, George, was friendly, down-to-earth, and very accommodating. He also spoke Portuguese, which made it easy for Angela to communicate. The menu was just okay. While it offered traditional Portuguese dishes, it also included Italian options, which felt a little out of place for a restaurant presenting itself as Portuguese cuisine. We started with the octopus in garlic sauce 5/5. It was incredibly tender and packed with flavor. Easily the highlight of the meal. The shrimp in garlic sauce, served with Portuguese chips and white rice, was a bit of a letdown 2/5. There was very little sauce for the shrimp to soak up, and the flavor just didn't hit the mark. The biggest disappointment was the grilled Portuguese sausage 0/5. It was fatty, cold when served, and honestly inedible. George tried three times to warm it up for us. What made it more frustrating was watching other tables receive theirs flambéed tableside. Ours came out pre-cut and at what felt like refrigerated temperature. When we asked why ours wasn't served the same way, we were told that presentation style costs an additional $6. Really? I had the sangria, which was enjoyable though slightly on the sweeter side 3.5/5. Overall, I truly wish this experience had been better, especially considering the drive to Palm Coast from Jacksonville. I was hoping for a taste of home, but unfortunately, it fell short this time.

**Where do I even begin?**…read more We were visiting from out of town and made a reservation based on the website, which looked like it promised a five-star dining experience with a side of class. Spoiler alert: the only thing five-star about this place was how fast we wanted to leave. The red flags started immediately. The "ambience" was giving post-hurricane garage sale. And then the owner--dressed like a retired Jersey Shore cast member with a sad top-knot ponytail clinging to its last follicle--yelled from across the bar, "Welcome to the best restaurant in the county!" That was the first of many lies. We were squeezed six people into a table for four, even though there were plenty of empty tables, which we assume were reserved for ghosts or maybe just the owner's ego. Alcohol selection? Oh, just the finest! We asked for the beer list and were told there were *two* options. When we inquired about wine, the sommelier (a.k.a. the same server who forgot napkins, silverware, and the will to live) said, and I quote, "Red or white." That's not a wine list--it's a personality test. We were handed four sticky, mismatched menus with half the items violently Sharpied out like they'd been caught cheating on a test. At this point, most people would've made a break for it, but not us! No, we stayed. Because we're the kind of people who touch the stove *twice* just to be sure it's hot. We ordered the ahi tuna, escargot, and baked brie. The tuna came out looking like four sad, paper-thin slices of regret. No seasoning. No garnish. Not even a pity drizzle of sauce. Just raw fish, alone on a plate, contemplating its life choices. It tasted like someone froze a fish stick in 1993 and just now remembered to serve it. The escargot? Imagine rubber bands soaked in lukewarm garlic water. Now imagine paying money for that. The baked brie? Honestly, I blacked out at that point so I can't even tell you. After this culinary fever dream, we signaled for the check. That's when the owner reappeared, pants unbuttoned (WHY?!), and said--and this is 100% real--"Did I pissed you off?" Sir, the only thing more offensive than your grammar is your restaurant. We smiled, nodded, and lied that we had somewhere else to be, mostly because we feared telling the truth would end in a full-blown Jersey brawl in the parking lot. Final verdict: Never going back. You shouldn't go either. Save yourself. Go eat a gas station hot dog. Trust me--it'll be better.

Most of us arrived on time and a few staggered in within 15 minutes thereafter. Our server did a great job hosting us and he was both extremely knowledgeable and honest about the various entrees which I very much appreciated. In the end, I chose the linguine vongole. This typically isn't a dish I'd order but I was having a difficult time making a decision likely because it was well after my normal dinner time. That's on us for enjoying too much pool time. ;) To my surprise, this pasta dish was incredible! The sauce was epic and they didn't scrimp on the clams. I also started with a Caesar salad. It was average. The dinner portions were a decent size from what I could see and everyone seemed satisfied with their choices. We had 3 people in our group who either suffer from celiac or possess a gluten allergy so they ordered gluten free pastas and rolls. All three were shocked (in the best way) by the quality of the gluten free bread service. Speaking of bread service, we were served fresh bread with roasted garlic, herb butter, and oil prior to dinner. Yum!! The only negative experience we encountered was at the end of our meal. Unfortunately, the hostess didn't convey to our server we would be on separate checks and charged the entire bill to one of our group (they hold a card in advance). I can understand this would be aggravating to a server especially at the end of their shift. However, it would probably be best to tap into one's showmanship and not allow the annoyance to be seen. I didn't penalize his gratuity because I grasp he was annoyed and tired. But for this, he did a phenomenal job taking care of us. It was just a disappointing way to end our experience. Additionally, the hotel charges a service charge if one utilizes their credit card rather than charging it to their room. Unfortunately, we didn't learn this until after the fact and we were annoyed because a few of us were actually holding the room card in our hands along with the credit card trying to decide which to use for payment. This would've been a prime opportunity to school us on the policy. Furthermore, we should've been informed upon arrival or has some visible signage. All in all, it was a nice dinner and all of our meals came out as ordered which says a lot for 13 orders and 3 gluten allergies.
