This is a great find off A1A in Flagler Beach if you are cruising along the shoreline and looking for a spot to enjoy some good eats and drinks while enjoying a spectacular ocean view. My Mom discovered this place through friends who live in the area, and this spot is a fantastic, ocean-front dive bar. According to my wife who was told from her mother, this spot had been here since 1948. I love the decor of all the license plates on the ceiling. The place has a very laid-back, come as you are vibe that I enjoy immensely. I enjoyed some delicious sake bloody Mary's, which I crushed a few of them. The bar only does beer and wine, no hard liquor. Which is fine with me because you want to keep the vibes chill and relaxed. Their smoked fish dip is delicious, which I further enjoyed with some hot sauces. The fried scallops were so good. I savored them, as well as the hush puppies and sweet potato fries. I'll come back here again to try some more of the fate and experience more of the vibes and energy that Snack Jack's has to offer. read more

Sorry that I ever stopped in today, as it turns out to be one of the most embarrassing dining experiences in my life, my family and I are regular patrons of jack snack shack however, we stopped in for lunch ordered happy hour chicken wings and their mystery appetizer for lunch( 4 top) well our waitress may have been thing we are cheep or whatever, everythings but my wifes plate was still in the window ( the food Runner never picked it up) it was no big deal as I worked the hospitality bizz for years and totally understand what happens some time, but what happened simply next blew me away I had got up and place 2 basket in the bus cart and our waitress Priscilla went totally ballistic on me in the dining area, its was her area and scolded be for what seem like 5 minutes, understand I have never been talked to like that from wait staff in my life, understand the tables are small so 4 diners are cramped so I cleared some of the table but Priscilla was visibly angry and harsh talking as if I was child. Now not to say that the staff has been rude before in which they have been in the past but overlooked. Btw I did not hold Priscilla personally reasonable for one plate being left in the window and did not care, maybe she thought I was cheeps and don't tip because it was happy hour, but when staff decides who welcome and who's not, the bizz has a top down problem. Never to return, sorry because we love the view , but the vibe from the staff is out of hand. read more

We have visited Flagler Beach three times since 2015 and each time we have eaten at Snack Jacks and we have not been disappointed. We especially like to eat there on Tuesday when they have a pound of peel and eat shrimp for $10. Other items we have enjoyed there include the conch fritters and the key lime tart. The atmosphere is very casual typical of many seafood restaurants and they also have an outside "dog friendly" patio which has a great view of the ocean. Service is friendly and reliable and we will definitely eat there again when in the area. read more

A local in town told me it's a good place on t he beach. So OK, why not? Two words. Don't go. First off there were two cars in the parking lot. Big sign says valet parking. I pulled up and asked if I could just back into the space where I was waiting for the attendant. He said no that he has to park all the vehicles. I said that there's no one here, he said it doesn't matter. OK, doesn't matter, if you want to accept all the responsibility on my car have at it. Menu has lots of fried foods. Lots. To the point I ordered a "hand formed 8 oz burger. Hand formed my ass. No one is that perfect to hand form a burger. Ordered medium and was very well. Burned French fries. Bad. Just because a restaurant is located on a beach doesn't make it special. read more

I have had better food. The waiter initially came over and he smelled so bad, we could barely hold down the water. After we ordered 2 cups of clam chowder and happy hour wings. The chowder came out and was at best luke warm. We had to ask the server to reheat the soup in the microwave. She stated that it was just made and was not warmed up yet. Really? Doesn't make too much sense. Then the wings came out. The wings were very fatty and not so good. I would not recommend getting the wings. The happy hour beer specials are good. $2.00 for draft beers until 6 pm and some food specials. The atmosphere is relaxed and you can sit outside by the beach too. I would not recommend that this is the place to go, but if you are in need of a place to eat - go ahead and try it. read more

This used to be one of my go to places when visiting my parents in palm coast. I ate plenty of oysters here with my brother and sister, I have been here late night, come here during bike week, been for both dinner and lunch. The location on the water is great. The service is friendly. But.....The food in my opinion has dropped significantly in quality over the years. I'm not sure why. Maybe the owner doesn't care anymore about putting out a quality product. I'd rate it a two if the location wasn't on the water. I am not impressed with Snack Jack's. It doesn't have much good things on the menu. The seafood is not good as it use to be. They changed around the menu and they did a bad job at their food selection. I feel there are much better seafood places in palm coast and in Florida. Snack Jack's is no longer my top place to go. We usually love ordering from this place, as my grandma lives across the street and we often grab a meal from here so she doesn't need to cook. Today is Mother's Day and we have extra family gathering here beachside at grandma's house. In lieu of cramming into their restaurant, we wanted to make a to go order for 8 people and enjoy the food at home. However, when i walked across the street to inquire how long it may take to compile a to go order for eight people at 2pm, I was told to go orders would not be accommodated today. No sign, no warning, just "a call they had to make because their kitchen is small and they are busy". Plenty of open tables everywhere and no wait times or lines of people waiting to be seated. So we contemplated all walking over there, but decided to call Oceanside, a place we also frequent up the street. They were shocked when we asked if they would be taking to go orders today. They were happy to oblige. They got our money, NOT High Tides. Shame on you for turning away business of frequent customers. So disappointing.
