Small neat place to grab ice cream, family friendly environment. There's only one option for sizes which is a bit big, these cups get filled UP & end up looking like a sand castle you would see on the beach lol. Ice cream tasted good nothing crazy, the process to make the ice cream is the best part. It's entertaining watching them thin it out and roll it... you get to watch the process right in front of you. Wish the lady at the register gave me guidance on flavors to pick, there is soo many options it can be a bit overwhelming! read more

Yummm! I was really impressed by how they carefully constructed each order. The orders were prepared with great enthusiasm and care. The flavor was good! The customization options were fun. I was told that it would take 25 minutes to melt. My destination was about 15 minutes away. The ice cream started to melt already but not fully melted. read more

I was in the area on vacation, heard about this place and had to try it because I have never seen a place like this up north in PA & I am so thankful I tried! 1. It was such a fun experience watching the ladies behind the counter pour the cream, watch it freeze up & then start to roll it! 2. The ladies working were wonderful. Not only did they have great service, they were very enthusiastic when the ice cream was ready to roll, they made sure that I as the customer was engaged as well! 3. The ice cream was so delicious! They have a bunch of different flavors/toppings you can mix together and get creative. 10/10 recommend to try it AT LEAST once!!!! read more

We stopped here while on vacation. We went grocery shopping at the Publix in the same plaza and decided to come back to see why this was about. You pick your ice cream flavor, then your mix in and toppings for when it's complete. While you wait, you get to see then work their magic! It's really cool how this ice cream goes from liquid, to flat frozen ice cream to rolled up ice cream. Such a different and cool experience! We have nothing like this where we live in PA. Pretty happy we found this place. Nice people and a calming atmosphere. The ice cream was good, but not something I'd look forward to having a lot. Maybe they should add more of the sauce instead of putting the squirts through the holes in the swirls. Nothing too gimmicky about this place. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Super cool to watch them roll the ice cream! We had a wonderful experience. They even waited for us to record the process. While in the area for vacation, I was craving some ice cream. I love trying unique places while traveling so I was happy to find rolled ice cream. I had the chance to make it at a Yelp event years ago so I know it's not easy - I have respect for employees who make it! It was pretty easy to find once we realized it was in the shopping center. It's a small place but sticks out from the bright colors on the sign and inside. Upon walking in, I quickly realized how clean it was. I was surprised to only see one lady working with a line of people waiting. When you go to the register, you pick vanilla or chocolate and one mix-in. At the end, you can choose 3 toppings. Adult price is $7, kids is $4.50, but the kids portion is not much smaller. I was sad to see so many toppings they were out of, written on a sheet of paper by the register, but not the end of the world. I got strawberry and Oreo mix-ins (it's $1+ for each extra mix-in). I was surprised to see it was ONE strawberry and ONE Oreo. These items are hand-smashed on an anti-griddle, then the base of vanilla or chocolate is poured over. The items are mixed, then it's flattened and smoothed, then rolled up. By the time the woman was on the last customer, another worker came from the back. They both were really nice and we were happy to tip them (there are two tip jars). Sadly, the ice cream looks better than it tastes. The ice cream base had NO flavor. It was also like creamy water it was so bland. I was happy to check the place out and rolled ice cream is a great idea, but that base needs a major upgrade. Side note to the owner: the thermostat needs a lock-box over it or moved. It's so low kids can mess with buttons. One little girl turned the heat on while I was there then later I accidentally bumped it with my back. read more

New place. The concept is interesting. They take cream, pour it on a very cold platter with some added item, mix it up and then flatten it on the frozen platter. Then they scrape it off making a curl. As you can tell it is labor intensive so if you are in hurry, this is not the place to go for a quick ice cream. They had 2 employees working that night. We got there at a good time. It got busy later. I saw a group walk out because it would take long. I had the vanilla with raspberry and candyce had chocolate with cheesecake. Then you can have additional toppings when it is rolled up in the cup. I had toffee pieces with a strawberry sauce. Be smart when you go to there. If there is a long line, count on being there for awhile. Dont get grumpy. Or come back when they aren't as busy. The employees are working as fast as possible. Be nice and tip them too if your curly cream sundae comes out good and tastes good. Ice cream was good and had lots of toppings. Overall, we had a good experience! Confident and efficient staff and the ice cream was pretty good. It was busy at around 10pm on a Monday night. The vegan base could be improved but I'm really glad they had so many vegan options! The one drawback is that it's expensive - we spent about $22 for two ice creams. read more

I had to try the famous curly ice cream! I loved the process and how many toppings for one flat price. My kiddos really enjoyed watching the server create their masterpiece. We got a chocolate mint chocolate chip ice cream with marshmallows and crushed Andes mints and a vanilla fruity pebbles topped with graham crackers and white chocolate syrup. Both were very good but the facilities could have been a little more clean and friendly. I will still recommend to friends! read more

Traveled to New Smyrna and found this gem right across our hotel. The prices are actually really good for the quality and amount of ice cream you are getting is definitely worth paying. I got the Vanilla base with Kit Kat, Brownie and Strawberry mixed in, then chocolate sauce, Oreos and nuts on top. Surprisingly was a great mix and was plenty for me and my girlfriend to share. Definitely coming back when I visit the beaches!! read more

First time trying rolled ice cream, and this was a delicious hit! I chose chocolate with brownie, topped with marshmallows, Oreo crumbs and chocolate chips. I thought the ice cream itself had a great flavor, and the toppings mixed in was wonderful. The service was quick and very friendly. The shop was clean and well decorated. The name alone makes you curious. After looking at the awesome reviews on here I figured I'll give this a try. This ice cream shop is not your typical one. It's a black-owned family business and they pride themselves on customer service and delicious ice cream with all the trimmings. You get one flavor and one mix then you get up to three toppings. Around $7 for a regular adult and $4.50 for kids 12 and under. They even have a movie playing for kids! This should be enough to make you try it! read more

Customer service could have been better. We were barley greeted by Anetia. The icecream is just ok. I prefer cold stone. There were only 2 strawberries used to make my icecream and I could barely taste the strawberry flavor that I was longing for. My husband didn't like his either and neither of us finished it. We did not feel well welcomed and almost like we were bothering her. The store didn't open until 2pm although the opening time is 1pm on Google and Facebook. read more

My family and I just had the most embarrassing and disrespectful experience at this ice cream establishment. We were greeted with attitude at the register when we asked simple questions about the menu. I have a nut allergy and asked if the brownies had nuts in them. I was ganged up on by every staff member behind the counter starting with Julian after mentioning my allergy.I didn't ask for this allergy nor can I make it go away. I will never recommend Curly cream to anyone simply because they speak to their patrons in such a horrible manner. There is absolutely no customer service left in that building. Spreading anger and hate is no way to grow a business. read more

We were looking for a place that can accommodate both vegan family members and non vegan. Google search suggested Curly Cream. Oh boy are we glad we found that place!! I would've taken a picture but my hubby had already taken 3727471 bites I came here with a couple of friends since we were craving ice cream after dinner and we saw this place while we were shopping at publix. A little pricey ($8.52) but you get plenty of ice cream! I had the chocolate base with nutella mix in and whipped cream, mint and caramel sauce as toppings. It was to die for, definitely recommend. It was a completely useless place. I've had rolled icecream before and folks are so pro at rolling. Looked like a newbie was trying to prepare it. Nevertheless, I decided to try these cookies. At $5 per cookie, I was really hoping for the best! But, I was gravely disappointed at the heavy chemical taste of preservatives and artificial flavorings. Unfortunately, and I really hate to admit this, but these were the absolute worst cookie I've had in a really long time. I ended up tossing them in the trash. I knew I wouldn't be able to eat them. They weren't even warm. Some people love them, but I'm not in that group either.

A friend of mine raved about his mother's golabki for years, so naturally I started my meal with that. Wow, it was incredible! It almost reminded me of a spaghetti dish with its vivid tomato flavor. I really love that the roll holds together well when you're eating it with a knife and fork. I'm going to ask my friend for a recipe because it seems like it would be a good go to meal. I think my next favorite item was the polish sausage. I do enjoy eating sausages, but sometimes I'm just not a fan of how some are seasoned. That wasn't a problem with this polish sausage, because it was delicious and flavored just to my liking. Now pierogis I have tried before, and I'm not sure if they are polish origin or a neighboring country, but I have always enjoyed them. These cheese and potato pierogis were exactly as I expected them. They were cooked well and stuffed with filling. I shared a few with my nephew who is a bit picky, and to our surprise he was enjoying them. I would definitely give another flavor option a try! The final item was the potato pancakes and I think they were cooked well, but I think I would have preferred a little more salt to bring out the flavor. I plan to research Polish food after this visit and see how each dish is usually eaten. There were 3 condiments that accompanied my meal, but I didn't use them. For the most part, each dish was delicious all on its own. The Polish plate is definitely enough to share between 2 people, and you'd probably have just enough room for dessert as well. It was literally steps to the beach so that was nice to stroll out there before/after. After poking around some shops, I made my way upstairs to Dill! The place is cute and colorful! Loved the European decor! I was there on a Tuesday night and there were only 2 other tables sat so pretty dead at the time. Server was lovely, cheerful, and helpful! They don't have a full bar but do serve beer and wine so was able to get a glass of vino. I really wanted schnitzel and pierogies but unfortunately you can only get the pierogies by the dozen (unless you get the big combo meal which comes with 6 rogis and a shit ton of other food). Problem was, I had a 6am flight the next morning so no way I would be able to eat any leftovers. I asked if there was ANY way I could just get like 2 rogis and she unfortunately said no (I totally get it, but maybe add smaller options in the future!). So I went with a cup of borscht soup and the pork schnitzel. The soup was served hot (I've only ever had it cold) and was very good! The schnitzel was legit the biggest schnitzel I've ever seen in my life and it's a GOOD THING I didn't get rogis in addition to it lol. I immediately cut it in half and was only able to eat that much. I got the mushroom sauce too and that was so yummy with the schnitzel! The potatoes and slaw were very good too, loved how refreshing the slaw was!! You would never think to look for this kind of food in Daytona of all places, but it's definitely worth a stop! If I had anyone dining with me, I could see getting a few dishes to split because of how large the schnitzel was. The new owners immediately made facility changes that vastly improved the look and feel of the shop. Not only new flooring, but the display cases, reach-in coolers, furnishings and other customer comforts. They "tidied up" the place and fixed stuff - exactly what was needed. They also expanded the existing menu without taking a blow torch to it. From my interactions with the staff, it was pretty obvious the owners were wanting to learn more about downtown Daytona, their legacy customers, and the changing market. Changes they made were mostly tweaks, all seeming to be received positively. Since the new year, it's obvious Serra Doce is leveraging all they've learned and have made major changes and improvements. They seem all in. There is now a brunch and à la cart breakfast and amazing sandwiches, pastries and fresh fruit offerings. Truly, Serra Doce has retained the best of why I've always enjoyed my coffees at this location, and expanded my choices with really amazing food offerings. The service is great. It's tough to keep staff these days, and like any regular place I go to, I do see new faces. But old ones too. All of my interactions have always been wonderful. It's why I come back. And it's still an affordable spot and, MOST IMPORTANTLY dog friendly and welcoming.
