We came for the sunrise and stayed for breakfast. Both didn't disappoint. The thing many may not know about eating here is that the restaurant validates your valet parking ticket--making the parking free! We were seated at a table indoors with views of the ocean. It was perfect on this hot August morning. My husband ordered eggs Benedict and I had the grits bowl with eggs and bacon. Both were delicious. I was most excited to have a full stainless steel pot of hot water for my tea. As usual my husband also go a got pot of hot coffee. This was the perfect way to celebrate his birthday. I came here for a board dinner. It was absolutely delightful. They had two servers for a group of 25 and they didn't miss a beat. We had Jeff and he was great. Very kind and gracious. All the appetizers we had, tots, bruschetta, focaccia with butter and oil and mozzarella sticks were quite tasty. I had the cauliflower steak and it was so delicious. I had the Beach Babe cocktail and very much enjoyed. They also had an indie cover duo provide live music on a Wednesday night, I think they alternate between them and karaoke. Daytona certainly isn't the gourmet capital of the world. On top of that, I usually tend to avoid hotel restaurants - though sometimes I end up going to restaurants in hotels I am not staying at. Yeah, go figure that one. Anyway... feeling both lazy and satisfied I ended up eating here for both lunch and dinner on an overnight trip. For lunch the Grilled Grouper Sandwich - Lettuce, Tomato, Bacon Avocado, Brioche Bun was great with a glass of beer. For dinner the Shortrib Potato Nachos - Potato Chips, Caramelized Onions, Smoked Gouda Cheese Sauce, Scallion, were outstanding. As was my main of the Blackened Mahi Mahi - Coconut Rice, Charred Broccolini, Tropical Salsa. The pour of the Herradura Blanco Tequila, neat, during dinner was surprisingly generous and Jeff, the waiter for dinner, was amazing. This restaurant is located inside the Daytona Hardrock Hotel, and they offer both indoors and ocean view patio for breakfast, lunch and dinner! Depsite the chilly Jan weather we chose to sit outside, and it each time it was the perfect spot! Frankly, this restaurant is a hidden gem, and they really produce some delicious meals and the lcoation can't be topped! We tried the breakfast dishes such as eggs benedict, avocado toast, eggs, and avocado bowl, which were all delicious, and the portions were just right as well! Similarly, dinner entrees were equally yummy! One of the main highlights of dinner was sitting by a firepit while enjoying the ocean waves, sunset, and some tasty cocktails with dinner! What a wonderful first visit I had to Sessions Restaurant and Hard Rock Daytona. The property was clean, staff was friendly and conveniently located on the beach. My server/bartender named Caitlin was very kind and professional. Her smile and positive attitude lit up the dining area. She is truly an asset to the company. Overall staff working during my visit were courteous, kind and professional as well. The interior was spacious and has comfortable seating. I sat at the bar and had a wonderful view of the ocean. The food was amazingly fresh and delicious. I savored each bite and enjoyed all of the dishes. Food presentation was also very nice. Atmosphere - Excellent. We dined on the outside deck that had a great view of the ocean. The tables were spaced apart nicely and the setting made for a great dining experience. Service - Excellent! Our server was very attentive. Especially given that there were two fairly large groups of patrons seated shortly after we were seated. Food - Excellent! We shared a appetizer of Smoked Corn and Crab Dip, which was delicious. The Jumbo Lump Crab was shredded and ample. The corn and crab was mixed in melted Gruyère Cheese which made the appetizer special. I had the Chicken and Italian Sausage Rigatoni. It was mixed in a Parmesan Cream Sauce that was delicious. The chicken was cooked perfectly as was the sausage. Overall Value - Excellent. The atmosphere on the deck may be the best Daytona Beach has to offer. I had low expectations as I am not a chain restaurant person. We came here because they had live music and we love to dine with live music. We got a nice seat outside, and the sun was down so it was super pleasant. Our server was quick to take our drink order and we told her we were taking our time and she was fine with that. The view of the ocean are awesome and before the live music, there is piped in music which was fine. Once our drinks came, we decided to order the Smoked Corn and Crab Dip appetizer. The appetizer came in a timely manner and was spectacular!!! They described it as coming with pita chips, but they were harder, more like nacho chips. After a while, we placed our food order. The menu is fairly limited, but I settled on the bourbon chicken. Again, food came in a reasonable time frame and looked great. My bourbon chicken was so good, and spicy. My lips were burning!!!! The mashed potatoes and green beans were both very good as well. I made a great choice. I can't believe I ate the whole thing!!!! Service continued to be good throughout he entire meal. I love a hotel that has a good restaurant! This place is a blessing to the Hard Rock in Daytona. My family and I came here for breakfast and dinner! Each time we had a different server and they were all great. I love going out to eat and having someone who is personable and just wants you to enjoy your visit. Called ahead for Father's Day to make a reservation on the outdoor patio where we could enjoy their nightly live music. Arrived to valet- they valet for free when you eat at their restaurant! What a nice perk. We walked through the hotel following the signs for sessions, which is out back. We waited less than a minute before the host returned to greet us and seat us. We had a wonderful table outside with a view toward the area where the music would be. Our server, Justin, was great. There were other servers and bussers that helped as well. We were delighted to hear about their special! My dad ended up ordering it. It was a NY strip (can't remember ounces- maybe 10?) with jumbo grilled shrimp with a mushroom cream sauce with garlic mashed and veggies. Pretty good! The steak was cooked to his preference but the quality of the steak was less than ideal- I had a bite and I thought it was to grissely. After we shared the tuna poke with wontons (awesome), the short rib "nachos" (our favorite!) and the smoked fish dip (fairly standard), I decided a burger with side salad would be enough. I asked to sub a salad for the fries and was surprised he offered garden or Cesar, which I chose the Cesar and there was no extra charge on the bill. Mom had the seafood scampi. She loved it. It came with two large pieces of garlic bread. Of course we didn't finish our food yet still ordered dessert. Dad had the crème brûlée- he enjoyed it. Mom had the chocolate cake and enjoyed it. She usually gets key lime pie, which they have, but she had eaten an entire key lime pie the week prior when a friend brought one over to their house. The jimmy Hendricks cocktail is basically gin with champagne. It's refreshing. The margarita was shared by my parents. They liked it so much they ordered a second one. It has strawberry purée and pineapple juice in it so it's fairly sweet and rimmed with sugar. The views were fantastic. The music was fun. The weather was perfect. We had a great time at Sessions and I am certain we will be back. I think we will avoid the steak for future visits. There are so many other dishes to try. Great service. Great atmosphere. We went to the Hard Rock to check it out while staying down the beach. We went to the outside bar at the Sessions restaurant. There are suppose to be 2 TV's above the bar, but there was not. Instead there was exposed electrical plugs and a ton of green and black mold. I mentioned it to the bartender and instead of telling someone she just laughed at me for mentioning it and then ignored us. Worse experience I have ever had at a Hard Rock property. If you're in Daytona Beach for any reason you must pay this restaurant a visit. Located inside the Hardrock hotel overlooking the beach, this restaurant is not only stunning it's also one of the best views of the sunset. The menu was excellent and diverse enough to satisfy all of our cravings. We started with a bottle of Sauvignon blanc (cape town- great selection great pricing too) and the diver scallops. The menu was so eclectic we couldn't resist some tenders and a tasty salad with the shrimp add on. Seafood is superb here. Our server Jeff (shout out Wisconsin) made this visit enjoyable and no doubt a memorable one. We felt right at home and felt so grateful for stumbling upon this gem of a restaurant. After searching for nice restaurants in Daytona Beach we realize there are very limited options...the city is lucky to have Sessions! read more

Yeah yeah I know what you're thinking "hotel restaurant ". Well let me tell you, this place was pretty good to celebrate National Burger Day on my road trip vacation! I stayed at the Hard Rock Daytona Beach since I came here for a freestyle reunion show (TKA, Brenda K Starr, you know, classical music :) and arrived cutting it close to the concert I wanted to see. After five hours on the road, believe me I was hungry. Thus I came to enjoy the Sessions Burger! This is your regular cheeseburger done up Hard Rock style. I'm talking about an 8 oz. angus patty (even medium well it was juicy), fluffy sesame bun, fresh greens & tomato, and a deliciously rich bourbon bbq sauce. They also set me up with ketchup for the comp home fries. The fries could have been a little crispier though. Dessert? How about their lemon, vanilla & blueberry creme brulee? A lightly crispy crust, real blueberries & whipped cream garnish, you can imagine why I indugled. On a healthier note, their caprese salad with chicken I ordered the next day post-drinks was equally fresh & yummy. Speaking of drinks, how about one (I mean a couple) of expertly blended mojitos? These were served with real mint leaves, well blended and not overly syrupy. They were good enough to transport me back to my 20's and dance at the show. read more

Delicious Food, Terrible Service, Bad Margarita's. I stayed in the hotel this restaurant was in & I was recommended to eat here by staff and the internet. I had high hopes for the place. When I got to the kiosk with my reservation for 6:00 pm , it seemed like it'd be an excellent choice because the restaurant looked nice and we were seated quickly. However, the service was not quick or prompt. Someone came to us to take our order quickly. We got the Blue Cheese Tater Tots & a margarita (complimentary by the hotel). The margarita arrived (it was pretty bad, but it was free so oh well right), then a bit after some Mozzarella Sticks arrived. We told him we didn't order that and he took them back. The Tots never came and we told him when our entrees arrived. He did give us the appetizer eventually and said it was on him. Also ordered another margarita that we payed for. it was very nasty tho. It tasted like baking soda so we didn't pay for it. The virgin Pina Colada was very yummy tho. The food was also yummy. very delicious. Sorry no pictures but we got Pan Seared Salmon w Gnocchi and the Braised Short Ribs w/ Green Beans and Whipped Potatoes. When the check arrived we were charged for Mozzarella Sticks AND the tater tots. Got it cleared out tho. The signature restaurant at Daytona Beach's Hard Rock Hotel. Ive had brunch, dinner, and drinks here, and most of the time, service is great. (It helps when your girlfriend's family is a regular). We had a great brunch; the mimosas were well balanced & the bowls were good. Their standard drinks are good, as well. Dinner was interesting. We were given lunch menus despite being sat at 4:50p and had to request dinner menus. I had the spicy sausage & chicken pasta while my girlfriend opted for the shrimp scampi. We shared the focaccia to start; she enjoyed the olives, and we both enjoyed the garlic butter. It's a quality, reasonably priced & reliable restaurant. read more

So I took the wife here for Christmas dinner. We had no reservations, it wasn't that packed so we got a table within a few minutes. Right away I noticed the acoustics were horrible. (You would think a music themed venue would do a much better job in that department). The ambience was loud for being less than half full, but that was just the beginning. A short time after we were seated an acoustic guitar player singer started playing against the far wall. He was also too loud, but not only that played nothing anybody really knew? Anyway onto the food and service. The wife ordered the $52 Ribeye steak, it doesn't say how many ounces but the server did warn her that it was huge. She wasn't kidding! We could have split that thing but I'm glad we didn't cause it was so chewy and stringy we took over half of it home to the dog. (I'm waiting till this afternoon to see how he likes it). She did enjoy the horse radish cream sauce with peppercorn on it. The brussel sprouts and potato were good too. Overall because of the poor steak quality I would rate this meal below average. Next I ordered the filet medallions for $40. The filet was good and tender! Much better than her steak was, however for my tastebuds they kind of ruined the flavor with a sweet tangy sauce. I don't care for the sweet taste in my steak but that's just me. The large sautéed mushroom was probably the best I ever tasted! The asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes were also above average. The chocolate layer cake was average but it was only $8 get this though and this is why you have to check your check! The server charged us for one of the $12 desserts. When the wife caught the error the server quickly apologized and changed it. So let's talk service now. Our server was very nice but she was as slow as she was nice! Luckily we were in no hurry because this girl needed a push along the whole dinner from taking our order through receiving our check! That was nerve racking and frustrating but her kind attitude somewhat compensated for it. In the end, I told the wife to take a good look at this place cause we won't be back here for a while! My fiancee' and I were in Daytona last December for a wedding but ended up staying in a different hotel down the street from the Hard Rock. We decided to check this place out for food and drinks. I ordered a burger, and it was pretty good, but nothing to write home about. But what I really enjoyed was the atmosphere and cocktail menu. It was the holidays, so the whole place was decorated (please refer to the pictures) and I definitely felt the holiday spirit! And their cocktail menu also had specialty holiday cocktails (please refer to the pictures)! I definitely had a pleasant experience and wouldn't hesitate to come back here again next time I'm in Daytona! P.S. Shout out to Jessica for being an awesome waitress! I almost gave 1 star but came back a slightly redeemed themselves. Previous review I gave was for ocean deck. I came during happy hour which guess they do not have any specials. This is not a big deal but asked if did got told yes by someone but then never got menu. My cocktail tasted weak. I ordered the tater tots which after 15 minutes asked on status and got smile but nothing else. 15 minutes later after finishing cocktail checked again. Seems no one entered order. I stated would just leave but person stated would get right out and would not need to pay. When got bill they were charged and did not see person who offered them for free. I could have waited to ask for them to be removed but needed to go and did not want to hassle with it. Came back next night and got a beer which was fine and partner got wine. It was bad!!! I 100% wouldn't recommend. The only reason this restaurant is still open is because it's in the Hard Rock hotel. I ordered the NY strip Medium because they didn't have the Ribeye. It came with garlic mashed potatoes which was not seasoned and tasted like box mashed potatoes that they only add water to. My steak first came out Medium well and had absolutely no seasoning so I sent it back. When it came back out I watched Mark, the manager, walk my food outside to where my waitress was helping another table and hand the food to her. She then stopped what she was doing and brought my food to me. My steak was extra RARE!! This time the mashed potatoes tasted like they put a little seasoning in it. The manager, Mark, walked around and didn't acknowledge any of the guest. I asked the waitress to send him to the table in order to find out why he wouldn't come to the table where the food had to be sent back twice. He said because they want the servers to be independent and empower them to deal with the issues. That is the managers job. He was looking at the ground the whole time we were talking. Despite the reviews we figured since we are staying at the Hard Rock let's give it a try. The reason I'm giving this place 2 stars is because the food really was not good. You walk in and the hostess is there to greet you and sit you down. That was fine! Our waiter was Sheldon or something with a S. He was great! He spoke to us about his Jamaican background and actually recommended the wings we ordered to be done in honey garlic. That was delicious. We figured he led us right with this then we asked him about the Firecracker Mac N Cheese. A Huge disappointment! First we had to ask for it to be done over since we felt the food was just microwaved. They gladly did that for us and when the food came back it was hot. The cheese was thick and not very good. The pasta was not Al dente. I requested instead of grill chicken to have fried chicken in it. It was poor portion and they tasted reheated. Not good at all! I'm not sure about the other dishes but HELL NAH. I won't do this again! $18 for these dishes! I could've gone to chick Fil a and gotten a better Mac n cheese and chicken dish. The place in general is nice and they have a outside courtyard which is nice to eat outside too, but it was chilly and we choose to stay inside. read more

Service- the hostess and the waitress were very kind and attentive. The waitress was a bit frazzled and busy with other duties (even though we were one of only 3 occupied indoor tables) but she still managed to check in on our table and make conversation. Smoked Corn & Crab Dip- to be honest, this dip was a bit underwhelming. The portion was very small for the price (it was $16) and the dish was the size of a fist. The pita chips were raw (meaning untoasted) and very tough to chew. The flavor was fairly decent but not something I would order again, all things considered. Shrimp Basket- my boyfriend ordered this and let me taste it. There's Cajun seasoning on both the shrimp and the fries and it was quite spicy for my taste but my boyfriend loved it. The "house remoulade" sauce that comes with it tastes like if Zax sauce (from zaxbys) were spicy. The sauce starts out mild and flavorful but it quickly grows and becomes very spicy in seconds. To someone that likes spice, it would be AMAZING. It cost $16, in my opinion a little overpriced but it was hot and the fries for both the shrimp basket and the burger were AMAZING, 10/10. Sessions Burger- I got the sessions burger and it was pretty good. Truthfully, it tastes like any other burger. If I were being especially picky I would say it was a little on the dry side but it wasn't bad. It came with a blueberry BBQ sauce, which was intimidating, but it tastes like regular BBQ sauce so don't be worried. The bbq sauce definitely made the burger. As previously mentioned, the fries are a 10/10. They are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It cost $18, so again, a little overpriced but not too bad. Beach Babes- I ordered the Beach Babes which was arguably one of my favorite parts of this meal. I could taste the alcohol but it tasted like juice and was SO GOOD. It is what my boyfriend would call DANGEROUS (lol). It was very sweet so if you don't like overly sweet things then something else might be better for you. My boyfriend got the "Tequila Makes My Clothes Fall Off" and it was good too, just less sweet. It's a great alternative if you don't like a lot of sugar. Lemon Blueberry Crème Brûlée- by far the BEST thing we ordered. Worth every cent and every calorie. It was denser and creamier than most crème brûlées which made it a bit unique. SO GOOD! It cost $10. Chocolate Decadence Cake- this cake was pretty good but tastes remarkably similar to Olive Garden's black tie mousse cake. This cake was more on the dark chocolate side so if you're a milk chocolate person, be aware of that. Good, but I wouldn't order again. Nothing extraordinary. It cost $8. Cost- before the tip, it costed $90 for 2 cocktails, 1 appetizer, 2 entrees, and 2 desserts. The cost wasn't too outrageous for the quantity of food we received but it wasn't exactly cost efficient. The value for the food was fairly good, all things considered. I would come here again but I would order something different for sure. The waitress mentioned that the mahi mahi tacos and the macaroni and cheese were the most popular items on the menu. If you made it this far, thank you! read more
