We usually enjoy visiting Outback Steakhouse on International Speedway in Daytona Beach. The restaurant is clean, recently renovated, and normally everything is great. The bread is always hot, the food comes out fresh, and the flavors are usually spot on. This visit was a little different, which may have been due to Bike Week and how busy the area was. Our server was very kind and attentive and made sure we were taken care of, which we really appreciated. However, a couple of things from the kitchen were a little disappointing. Our cheese sticks were over-fried, and several of them barely had any cheese inside. We also tried the spinach cheese dip for the first time as an appetizer. It tasted okay, but it was very thick--more like a paste than a dip--so it was hard to actually scoop it with the chips. It seemed like the cheese might not have been fully melted. We also ordered the 8 oz sirloin, and it wasn't quite as good as it normally is here. Again, the kitchen was probably extremely busy with the crowds in town. Even with the few issues, I would still recommend this location. The restaurant itself is nice, clean, and the staff is friendly. We'll definitely be back again--probably once things slow down a bit after the big events in the area. Hopefully next time everything will be back to the great experience we're used to. read more

We came here to celebrate a birthday and left with mixed feelings due to a bizarre difference in the quality of our meals.I ordered ribs, steak, and a loaded baked potato. When they brought out my plate, it looked wonderful. The steak was thick and juicy, the ribs were excellent, and the potato was great.However, my husband's experience was completely different. They first brought him a small plate of ribs, but the bones were visibly smaller than mine--not the same quality. To make matters worse, his steak was missing entirely. When we asked, "Where's the steak?", they brought out a very thin, burnt piece of steak. It was so dry it literally looked like a piece of wood.It is incredibly frustrating I expected much better. what is the real issue is they didn't understand why I was angry. they didn't see anything wrong with how they presented a meal to us. they couldn't understand why we did not accept the two separate plates with subpar quality. this is not the restaurant I remember. we could have eaten anywhere. I do not recommend eating at Outback especially if it is a special occasion. for the record they did not charge us for my husbands meal but it did not make up for a terrible experience and ruined birthday celebration. think twice before choosing to eat here. The apology rcvd is shallow. Fact is there is nothing that can fix the terrible experience we endured. Do not plan to return. We came pre Mother's Day a party of 6. Our waitress Jenny was very good! We ordered the French Fries and Blooming Onion. The blooming onion was good but cheese French fries not as good. My Caesar salad was very good and my 8 oz sirloin was good. A lot of the sides came out cold. Manager made it right we were happy! We love Outback they treat us right and 8-10 food comes out perfect. We had large Fosters draft beers and they weren't ice cold how I like it. They were cold and I drank all of it just like it colder. We will be back! read more

I was so hungry before I came in, unfortunately I got full off of bread and mozzarella sticks so I didn't order and entree but my family did and they loved it. My boyfriend and I go to this outback location whenever we in the mood for outback! The other location I've been to that's in town isn't the greatest but I've never had a problem at this location! The food is always good! They were out of broccoli which is the reason I didn't rate it 5 stars. I've been here a few times and I've heard that. The mashed potatoes weren't the greatest but they were still okay! The cheese fries were amazing! They also have very good ranch. I tried some of my boyfriend's grilled chicken and it was pretty good as well! This place is always pretty packed but has a good environment to sit and hang out in. My wife and I frequent the Outback Steakhouse in Daytona Beach at least 2 to 3 times a week. We have been visiting Outbacks at several locations around Florida for about 30 years now. The Steaks are always great as well as other entrées. We sit at the bar and the service and Martinis are always great! We also frequent Carrabba's and Bonefish, but Outback is our favorite. The food was better than expected. The service is always great at this location. The food is usually very good. We had a one off on our last visit. I brought it to the attention of management. They assured me that it would be better next time. I was sure that it would happen. We expect better quality for these prices and we definitely got it on this visit. We ordered the prime rib dinner and the twin Lobster tails. Everything was excellent. Exactly what we expect at this restaurant. We have always had a good experience here. I stopped at this Outback while I was traveling and I'm glad that I always pick to sit at the bar. I've found that the service is quicker and you're able to see more of the restaurant. I ordered the Wallaby Darn and the Margarita I suggest that you always get your drink "down under" so that you get a extra shot because I've been to several Outback's and also worked for them as well and the drinks are not strong at all. The Bartender was great, one of the BEST I've seen from here to Oregon. I watched her as she remembered her regulars orders, served the tables surrounding the bar and handled new customers as they came in. She always used her tongs and was very precise and clean with everything she did!! I don't remember her name I just know she is possibly Asian or Filipino decent with long black hair that was in a ponytail. I hope that everyone who encounters her has the same experience as I did. We had a gift card for Outback and decided to use it on a Saturday evening. The parking lot was full, but there were seats available. After waiting about five minutes we were offered a table ready for immediate availability. We said yes of course. It was a nice window side table with great lighting but privacy as those outside were not pushed up to the window. It is a typical Outback layout. Clean and with good lighting. Our server, Arthur, was very expedient and professional. Drinks and bread came out quickly. We did not order apps, but the salad I ordered (with some deviations) was very well prepared and with the right amount of dressing. We ordered grilled shrimp with rice and vegetables along with a filet with grilled shrimp. Both dishes did not disappoint. We had not been to an Outback for a while, but the experience and food was spot on. read more

I frequent Outback 3 to 4 times a week and the food is always excellent. Excellent quality, friendly service and fun atmosphere.

The food was really awesome, everybody was super nice! We came on a Saturday for lunch and I don't know if the staff was short or the kitchen stuttered but we had a few issues that were mostly resolved. The steak was awesome cooked perfect and since one of my party was allergic to pepper they cooked it without any seasoning . I had grilled shrimp and it was quite delicious though maybe a touch overdone. Both kids had double mac & cheese, which is kids Mac with a side of kids Mac. It seemed a little short, but they brought some more out no problem. The Caesar salad was awesome no croutons and the broccoli was cooked perfectly not slushy. The main problem came when we asked for, a side of fries with the Outback cheese and bacon. And of course, the person in my party that's allergic to pepper asked for no seasoning on their fries. The fries, fries came out. The cheese was dried up and hard, and there was seasoning on both and no bacon on either. I kept mine. They brought me a side of bacon bits, and we sent the other back to the kitchen to be returned with no seasoning. However it came back with seasoning and still no bacon. We ended up getting one of our drinks off our order which was really good and they apologize several times and offered to get more fries, etc. but we were pretty much ready to be done with lunch. Overall, everything was excellent and things happen, not the end of the world. we had a great lunch and we'll go back again for sure. read more

Oh what a difference a gift card makes, these prepaid gifts kinda forces you to go places you may otherwise not think of going, unless you're into re-gifting then you may never try some of these places. Fifty dollars in free food is hard to resist so out of convenience we decided to give this location a try for dinner on a recent week night. I'm a pretty quick learner and found out quickly coming to this location between 5 PM and 7 PM during the peak of snowbird season is not something I'd recommend, the parking lot was filled and the number of cars circling almost make it impossible to find spot. Surprisingly once inside the wait wasn't horrible, once seated our server arrived with a big I am working for tips buddy kind of smile and took our drink orders. After browsing the menu and chomping on the complimentary bread and butter I looked passed the blooming onion and settled for the prime rib cut rare and marked up on the grill to get it up to slightly medium rare. The food arrived fairly quick and was served hot and exactly as ordered- good flavor but I must say mine was disappointingly fatty I'd say fifty-fifty fat to lean ratio and the baked potato was smaller than I had remembered from my last visit to another Outback location but that's okay. The Filet was perfect as always a little over medium but lean and flavorful.
