This restaurant serves a fusion menu and I ended up getting a spicy tuna roll. My friend got the prawns in a chimichurri style sauce. Both were full of flavor and spices! It was on point and melted in our mouths. I'd love to come back and try out more if their dishes if it's as good as the appetizers. The bartender was actually one of the owners and he was very friendly, so were the other staff members. This is a must spot to dine at for those visiting or living in Ormond Beach! We celebrated my cousin's birthday here with a party of four (my wife and I, along with my cousin and his wife), and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. From start to finish, everything was exceptional. The service was truly outstanding. Matthew and Jamie took care of us, and they couldn't have been more attentive, warm, and professional. The atmosphere is extremely pleasant and welcoming, making it the perfect spot for a special celebration. The food was extremely well out together--delicate, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Our vegetarian cousin absolutely loved the broccoli dish, which was exceptionally delicate and full of flavor. We also shared the shrimp plate, the bao buns, and an order of truffle fries that were completely out of this world. The gnocchi was delicious, and the ravioli was extraordinary! We finished the evening sharing the chocolate flan cake with a birthday candle, which was the perfect sweet ending. One of our favorite things about Sovereign is that the portions are thoughtfully sized, allowing you to try multiple dishes, and the prices are very reasonable given the outstanding quality of the food. Celebrated an anniversary here! We were able to snag a table upstairs on a busy night. The server was prompt and lovely. There is outdoor seating, bar seating, and regular dining tables. I have been back a couple of times since because my experience was so enjoyable. The space is clean, the bar offers a selection of uniquely crafted cocktails, and the food is delicious. Reservations are a must but if you can I recommend arriving early and enjoying a beverage outside at the bar prior to dining. It's so cool to see fun, quirky, interesting food establishments come to this part of Florida. This restaurant is located in a converted house. They do have their own small lot behind, but we parked across the street in a free lot, and walked over. It's a little awkward when you walk in as there is no hostess stand. However, a server came up, took my name, looked up our reservation, and sat us at a perfect table for three. It took a while for service - that's my only complaint - it took some time to order drinks, and then some time to order food, but that was a minor issue. I had The White Coupe to drink, and it was literally a perfect gin cocktail. Food when it came was wonderful! My Mom is not an adventurous eater, but she loved the Kobe beef burger with carrots instead of fries. I ordered the burrata flatbread and split the special of the night, mussels in a curry sauce, with my friend. The burrata was excellent, although it did slightly overpower the flavors of the flatbread. The mussels were fantastic, and we had to order more bread to dip in the delicious sauce. Dessert was strawberry bread pudding, with whipped cream and ice cream, which was crazy good. I highly recommend a visit here! read more

I feel like I'm grading easy because I have given a few 4 and 5 star reviews lately. In fact, I'm picky and I only go to places that are already highly rated. JFYI. First of all, this place is in a converted house with 2 floors of dining space. I was not aware that they had a separate bar, (we like eating in the bar) so I booked a table. Somehow, their website lost my reservation, but we were still accommodated at 4:30pm. We got a cute little corner booth where we could sit next to each other and look out the window at Granada and the rain. The place is so quaint, this was a romantic setting. I did not go upstairs but our server helpfully let me know there is another bathroom up there in case the downstairs ones are busy. From 4-6 glasses and bottles of the wines that are also sold by the glass are half price both in the bar and dining area. The wine selection was excellent, with wines you don't find elsewhere. I tried the Big Ass Red and the Trainwreck. I chose the Trainwreck, a very well structured Cabernet. We got the Oysters "Rockefeller", gnocchi bites, the Caesar salad, and the Thai sushi roll. The Oysters "Rockefeller" were a special that night, served with lemon beurre blanc. they were much lighter than your usual Rockefeller and very flavorful. The oysters were not overcooked, and even had a little oyster essence in the shells. I don't think they needed to be called Rockefeller, but they were very delicious. The Caesar salad, pictured below was great, light, well dressed, chopped, and served with peppadews. The slightly spicy peppadews were warm, and not pickled. They were very good with our wine. The gnocchi bites did not really contain gnocchi. They were mozzarella balls coated in crumbs and flash fried. They were so good with the homemade marinara that my hubby would not let the server take the plate. He kept the extras to munch on while we got the other courses. The Thai sushi roll was a little different, as it was served with a slightly spicy aioli rather than something wasabi based. But it was really interesting and the peanuts were particularly enjoyable. Critique, the ceviche had a sauce that was too heavy, think it had a mayo base. didn't work. Bolognese had penne noodles not disclosed, would have been better with spaghetti noodles. Our first visit to 63 Soverign was a hit! Heather took great care of us and even made a delicious, savory mocktail for my husband. We explored the small plates starting with the Brussels which were off the hook and the Burrata Flatbread was simply heaven. We also enjoyed the KFC Wings with spicy buffalo sauce and sampled a Bad Bun duo of fried chicken and pork belly. We were pleasantly full but decided to over-indulge by sharing a bread pudding along with our post-dinner espresso. We have found a new favorite spot! We will be back - and next time we will make reservations! This is a local gem with an inspired menu, so it makes sense that it was packed on a Friday night. We recommend planning ahead. Food was pretty good. We liked the cornflake chicken steam bun more than the carnitas steam bun. I probably would not order the carnitas again. Which is weird because I would usually never prefer fried chicken. I had the red snapper special and it was very good. My husband liked his steak frites. My son liked the wings, but wished they had regular ranch, he didn't like the sauce. The one negative was they didn't have any salads on the menu. The waitress referenced damage from the recent hurricanes. I was looking forward to ordering a good salad and the yelp app had shown they had salads. This time we made a reservation and got sat in the upstairs of the house right at a window which was cool to watch the street below. Started out with the KFC wings and they were so good. Crispy and generously covered in a nice sauce. The bucatini was nice and light with the hint of lemon. The Burrata flatbread was delicious. The bread was light and the Burrata was smooth and tasty. There was quite a bit of the peach jam so I did have to remove some to even it out a bit. I got the Sovereign's roll last time also and had to get it again. This roll is so perfectly balanced. Visited 63 Sovereign last night for the first time and found it to be a gem! It's intimate with a classy bar, but it's also a great restaurant with lovely seating inside for the finer experience and outside for a more relaxed hang, there is also a speakeasy upstairs that you can rent out and I think it's lovely. They also do absinthe in the speakeasy, which I have not seen in this area. I the house is historical and definitely has that vintage seal. read more

One of our favorite places in town! We love to come to 63 Sovereign for date night. They have a great bourbon selection which my husband always takes advantage of. Their cocktails are good too. The bao buns are one of out go-to dinner items. We usually pick a variety to share, though the fried chicken is our favorite. The charcuterie board, Apple & Eve salad, and Leslie Chow are our other staple choices from the menu. I've also hosted a private event here before. We did a bridal shower brunch which was served buffet style. Their breakfast pizza was to die for! Sergio and the team were very easy to work with and made the event go off without a hitch. read more
