We've been coming here over the last 5 years since we moved into the area, and the food and service has always been consistently great. We've brought friends here, met friends here, made friends here. We have come here to watch college football games, play trivia, or just to have a late meal after a sporting event. Recently we stopped by after the Daytona 500 and a had a late supper. Hubby had the salad, and I had a chili cheese dog which I had been craving. Both so filling and flavorful. We've tried just about everything on the menu and have never been disappointed. Our waitress was friend and attentive; making sure we were never lacking in napkins or drinks. The atmosphere was, as always, family friendly with lots of families surrounding us, and everyone seemingly having a good time. So happy to have this restaurant as our go to whenever we're hungry or just want to hang out somewhere familiar and close to home. read more

Wally wings, nearly every review mentioned Wally wings. So, of course I ordered a Cheeseburger and onion soup and my wife had a Wedge salad and onion soup. Ian was our server and he did a spectacular job. It was a very busy evening but Ian kept our drinks full and checked in with us regularly. My Cheeseburger was excellent but the tables around us all had wings. So we asked Ian, for some wings, Wally wings. Ian recommended the Teryaki Garlic Wally wings. I love "Wally Wings" (fried, tossed, grilled with no re-toss) so coming to Houligan's (they have several locations first time to this one) is always a treat. We arrived here for a late lunch and decided to share a few items. The service was a little slow our server was very nice but a little too chatty, he was very easily distracted but we got through it. The food, well the wings were amazing and fries were very good as for the chips and salsa they were just okay at best definitely not something we'd order again. We had a $10 coupon we got when we purchased gift cards over the holiday so it was a good value with the coupon. There's no doubt we'll return because the wings are so good and we have a few more discount coupons and who knows we might get lucky and get a motivated server. I ordered take out from here as I have many times before. The order included a burger with fries and an order of wings. Turns out, the kitchen forgot to put the burger patty inside the bun. I did not make it home with my order until late that evening, so I did not discover this until after they had already closed and could not call until the next day. When I did speak to the manager, he refused to address the situation. I am not going back. The wally wings were really good though. read more

Best wings EVER I ask for them fried long and grilled long extra spicy is my fav then I ask for the hottest sauce they got in the side. It's the only thing I ever order along with the fried pickles those can be hit or miss at times though. Mango cart is my go to beer with the wings. Family friendly place like that it's not bright in there the lights are a bit dim so it's a cool vibe have been on dates with friends as well as with one of my sons. Mondays is the day to go because they have a wing/select beer special buy 6 wings get 6 wings for free same with the beer buy 1 get 1 (only a select variety of beer). Nice place. The kind of place you take a walk to for a couple of beers. Great atmosphere, where you feel welcome from the first steps. Customers know each other, they hang with a beer in hand. Totally your neighbourhood pub. The Irish "flavour" is everywhere. Servers are friendly. You could tell there is some generational disconnect between them... But they are all friendly and work hard... Now on the food side... it feels like food is there so you can chew on something between beers so you can walk back home with no help or support needed. Food tastes decent, but it's made quick amd with no passion. This is my 4th time here. Never got impressed. I can do a better job myself at home but... eating or drinking out is never about being hungry or thirsty, right? It's about living, socializing and having a good time. My latest choice here was a double (patty) St Paddy Melt, with a side salad and a (couple of) Hazy IPA. The "burger" was cooked right but needed some salt (and probably more than that) for flavor. Just wanted to let you guys know the you knocked it outta the park tonight. We ordered for pickup from uber eats cause we had credits. We checked estimated pickup time to ensure we didn't arrive too late, or early. Well, the kitchen crushed it and made it early! However, we live a ways away so ended up being late. When I checked, food was great but I asked to have the fries remade so they were crispy. Kylie was very understanding, kind, and got us more fries asap! Also, while I was waiting (only a couple mins) for my new fries, she had another older gentleman come up to pickup food, and his wasn't ready yet so she asked where he was parked, so that she could bring him the food if he wanted to wait in his car. What I like about this place (older restaurant but worth it if in the area) it's a local favorite due to the fact it's one of the original locations for this establishment and they pride themselves for that. We've lived in Ormond Beach for just about a year and have never gone to Houligans. We'd drive by every day and say we need to go there. Well we went today for a late lunch. I had the broccoli cheddar soup (yummy) husband French onion soup (he said very good). I had the bacon burger with fries. The bacon was crisp not hard or soggy like some places and the burger a nice char broiled taste. The fries were also good. Husband had club sandwich I didn't ask how it was as I was to busy eating my food, but he ate it all. The atmosphere wasn't loud (they have a lot of tvs with games on) and nicely decorated. Our party of 3 did not have a good experience. We arrived at 6pm and did not leave until 8pm. Many tables around us came and left while we were there. While our waitress was great, the service was incredibly slow. Melinda, one of the managers, finally came over at the end, and apologized and mentioned she would make it up to us. Upon receipt of the bill, not one item was taken off of the bill. We were offered absolutely nothing for the wait and should have left. I will never go back. read more
