On June 24th, I visited this restaurant for the first time. Shana, a friendly staff member, greeted…read moreme warmly upon my arrival. She promptly brought me menus and asked if I'd like anything to drink, which she delivered without hesitation. While I was perusing the menu, Shana went to another table, but she returned quickly to take my order. My Farmhouse Hash arrived in about 10 minutes, and it was delicious. Shana checked in with me a few times during my meal, but she didn't hover, which I appreciated. The restaurant was spotless, with a diligent cleaning crew ensuring a hygienic environment after each patron's departure. However, I noticed a minor issue: the restroom water was trickling out during my handwashing. I promptly informed an employee about this problem, and she promptly called out to someone, likely the manager. It was reassuring to witness the staff's attentive response and the swift action taken to address the issue. The food was quickly delivered at the right temperature and tasted wonderful. The staff was generally friendly and attentive, even though the restaurant was moderately busy. Shana, in particular, stood out as a fantastic employee. Overall, I had a great experience and will definitely be returning to this restaurant.

It always felt peaceful, tucked into…read morethat light, bright corner of the small plaza across from Starbucks in the large Regency complex, at I-75 and SR 60. That peaceful feeling remains, in its successor-this still newish First Watch. They've opened it up in here... no room dividers-the duct work exposed in the now higher ceiling. When you walk in, there are booths and tables left, right and center-and a cute little high top bar to the right (juices and juice blends and, I believe, limited cocktails. They have some on the menu) The decor is contemporary industrial, with some charming vintage touches sprinkled here and there. And a mural reminds you you're in Brandon-a nice nod to local. I was happily seated by a big window. My server was sweet-brought water right away. (And what is it about cold water in a glass bottle, poured into a glass ? It's magical! I'd make Mom proud and up my water intake if I served it that way at home) She gave me plenty of time to choose my breakfast. I went with the "traditional"-2 scrambled eggs, 3 pieces of bacon (you can choose other meats-or upgrade to their million dollar bacon), breakfast potatoes and thick, rustic toast with butter. Oh, it was good-especially the bacon. I paired it with a kale juice blend that was tasty and hopefully healthy. (My carbonated Diet Coke bloodstream needed a break) It came to just under $22. I'd order it again, but there are lots of other intriguing options on both the regular menu-and the seasonal one. It's comfy, casual, cozy and spotlessly clean. It wasn't overly busy on the Tuesday morning I was there-but it was in between breakfast and lunch. I'm sure it's bustling at prime times. There's lots of parking and abundant covered, outdoor seating on two sides of the building. It's easy, breezy and yum. Oh yes, I'll be back.

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant and would not return. From the moment the…read morefood arrived, it was clear that quality was not a priority. Nearly everything on the plate was overly greasy, to the point where it felt heavy and unappetizing after just a few bites. Instead of enhancing flavor, the oil overwhelmed it, leaving a lingering, unpleasant aftertaste. Beyond the grease, the ingredients themselves seemed subpar. The food lacked freshness, and certain items tasted like they had been pre-prepared or sitting out for too long. Textures were off- some parts were soggy while others were oddly dry- which made the meal feel careless and poorly executed. Service and atmosphere did little to make up for the food. Even with reasonable expectations, the overall experience fell short. For the price and what's advertised, this place simply doesn't deliver. There are far better options available, and this is not somewhere I would consider visiting again.
