Came for a weekend lunch and got the crab cake Benny with grits and coffee. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I really appreciate how bright the place is and the lovely atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Throughout my meal, there was a steady flow of people coming in, but tables were cleared fast and guests were seated quickly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The crab cake benny was very pleasant, just the right amount of sauce, and the egg oozed nicely when cut, goes perfectly with the flavor from the crabcakes. The toast absorbed the egg and sauce but still held up nicely. The cup of grits was a great side for the meal: nothing fancy or loud, just buttery, hearty, and comforting. My server, Jordan, was very attentive. She checked in on me several times and made sure my coffee mug was never empty. Overall, a very nice place for casual, hearty food. read more

I went to Eggs Up Grill for the first time during a Yelp event and had a great experience. So, I thought of this place right away when family came to visit and we needed a breakfast spot and I'm glad I did! They make eggs in all kinds of ways: scrambled, fried, poached, omelets, you name it. I went with the chorizo eggs, and it was the right choice. The eggs were cheesy, there was a good amount of chorizo, and it came with sourdough bread. Everything hit the spot. The service was also great friendly and attentive, just what you'd want. On my way to a fitness event out in Riverview, FL, this weekend, I passed by Eggs Up Grill and fondly remembered our wonderful Yelp Elite event there earlier this year! So, I made a mental note to stop there for a late brunch after my event I was headed to. My friend and I popped in after a morning of workouts at the fitness event, and I love that we had this great option where we didn't need a reservation, could walk right in and be seated, and where parking was plentiful and free. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was just as clean and bright as I remembered, and the server was friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I already knew that I wanted to order the grilled blueberry muffin, as that was my favorite item at the elite event and I've told SO MANY people about it since. It has no business being that delicious, but I'm so happy that it is. I actually mentioned to my friend that I really just wanted the muffin, eggs and fruit, and as I prepared to order them a la carte, I saw that there was actually a combo with exactly those items included on the menu in their lighter options category. Loved the ease of that option being on the menu! My friend ordered the Philly sandwich and fries. She also wanted to try to mini cronuts, as I had told her how yummy they were when I tried them at the elite event, but the server informed us that they unfortunately did not have any that day. The only part of our visit that I wasn't a fan of was the wrap up of our dining experience. The server brought us our bills, and instead of them coming back to collect payment, there was a QR code on the bill that we had to scan and then pay online. The server didn't inform us of this, so we surmised this from the giant QR code on the bill. I've seen several businesses doing this lately, and I feel it honestly takes more time for the patron (navigating the system and adding your cc details) and takes away from the "people" aspect of the experience, as nobody then concludes your visit or communicates with you before you leave. I'm sure many people don't mind this and I may just be stuck in the past, but I really do prefer to have that human connection at the end of the visit. Overall, it was a pleasant and tasty experience and I'll continue to recommend this restaurant to friends! Especially for that grilled blueberry muffin! read more

Great service and tasty food. Both my friend and I enjoyed outlr meals. The cornbeef hash was my fave. It's not canned and made fresh to order with onions. The seasonal croissant donuts were definitely very tasty, rich but very good and light pastry. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It seems like breakfast is their busier time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were immediately greeted upon arrival and sat pretty quickly. This breakfast spot in Riverview is the place to go for Breakfast and Lunch. Terrific food. Great and hospitable people. You can't ask for anything more. [[HIGHLIGHT]]As I came to visit, the place was crowded, but the atmosphere was great. People enjoying themselves and having a great time with friends or family.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Wallace the manager was very attentive with the customers and was helping out wherever he could. Our waitress Lisa did a marvelous job attending us even though she had a lot of people to attend. The breakfast was amazing. I ordered the Texas Farmhouse Omelet. Sure, enough filling and delicious. Great breakfast spot in Brandon! They have a nice variety of breakfast options and more coffee options than the average diner. The staff and the service is great at eggs up grill. However, I feel like they could expand their menu, it is very basic and simple for breakfast. I can get more options out of a local small diner than what we had here. Also, in terms of flavor, there's not much variety. Everything is your basic salt and pepper. Which if you're looking for that. This is perfect for that. The buttermilk pancakes are light and flappy. So I have to say, I enjoyed that. And I don't even eat pancakes. read more

Eggs Up Grill is great for breakfast or lunch! If you need to host a business meeting they have space for that too. Customer service is always warm & welcoming. My favorite item to get is the corn beef hash with eggs over medium on the breakfast side. For lunch I enjoy their Turkey sandwich with bacon and a side of potato salad. Sooooo good! They are located in Riverview which is not close to me but the drive is definitely worth it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]If you have kids this restaurant is family & kid friendly and their kids menu is a hit with my kids.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Atmosphere is warm & cozy and enjoyable for all.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They are only open from 6am -2pm so definitely get there early! This was my first time dining here. Unfortunately they did not have any milk alternatives nor did they have turkey sausage however they were able to accommodate my other request. The service was so fast. The iced coffee was delicious. I also ordered avocado two scrambled eggs, medium, and a side of fruit. This has to be one of the - if not the single WORST experience we have ever had at a restaurant ever. 1. We were told a 20 min wait and waited 25 mins. There were multiple open clean tables available. The host went up the couple ahead of us and offered them bar seats but not us. 2. We sat down and put in orders for water and specialty coffee. We waited 10 to 15 mins for the server to bring us the drinks. She forgot the water (how can you forget the water?) and my wife's cup of coffee had melted cream and was not presented well (as it has been previously). The server then spilled some of it into the saucer and did not offer to remake it. 3. When we eventually got the food, the bacon on both plates was stone cold and there was A HAIR on my wife's plate. The server had a shocked look on her face and said ok (no apology at this point) and went to get the manager. The manager finished - not stopped - what he was doing and went straight to the back not to us. Then our server came out and apologized and looked at my wife and said he's making it again for you, And left my food. so not wanting to get even colder I proceeded to eat it with my wife having to watch me. I also had to eat without a knife because we were only given forks and our server was never present enough to request one. 4. The manager then came out with her meal and a new meal for me (which should have been clearly communicated). And said in a very flippant way I'm sorry that happened and I've spoken to the team about it. I then told him my gravy was super salty and he said no it isn't it's premade and proceeded to argue with me about what I felt about the food. 5. When all was said and done we were presented with a check to pay for EVERYTHING. And expected us to do so. The only reason I did was because I was so angry and upset that my rare morning with my wife was completely ruined. We used to love coming here but now we will avoid it completely. read more

This place was super yummy and I was told it's black-owned. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is very bright and inviting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had the crabocado scramble and it was super satisfying. Needed a quick lunch while working at our office in the Tampa area. Decided to check this little place out. Tucked into a tiny strip mall, finding parking was difficult. Once inside, it reminded me of the old diners I used to go to when I was a kid. I was promptly seated and my coffee IV was set up (J/K). Looks are deceiving, one cannot judge a place by it's dated look. The menu is certainly a modern take on timeless classics. Breakfast for lunch? Why not? I love a good eggs benedict, especially if crab cakes are involved, and these folks easily met my expectations. read more

Elena was amazing, she was so friendly from the moment she came over to our table! Great customer service with a smile! I had the most delicious Omelette and potatoes! The hazelnut iced coffee was delicious!! Thank you Elena!! As I told the owner, you are a gem! We met John the owner who was so nice and professional! Best thing here is the service. I have been here once before with my friend, so I thought I'd bring my hubby here since we were in the area. He ordered an eggs Benedict and I ordered grits and also a drink since they drink was free with Yelp Check in. I got the sunrise drink and cheese grits and bacon. It was okay and my husband thought the eggs Benedict was on the plain side. Our server whom I had last time, I acknowledged remembering her from my first visit. One word... phenomenal. I haven't had a breakfast so good and tasty in quite a while. Everything was amazing. Food came out hot and quick. I highly recommend trying the shrimp & grits!!! I split this with my husband to try and let me say it wasn't an even split. I turned my head for a moment and he didn't miss his opportunity. Will 1000% be back. This place is frequently slammed, so if you go here know that you've got a wait and that, if you're starving, you'll continue to be hungry for a bit - however the food is worth it! If you're like me, I tend to eat a little off hours, so I can usually get in and eat relatively easily. There's still a bit of a wait on prep - but I like this. Means everything is made fresh! They serve Bloody Mary's and Mimosas here if you're into that, and the corned beef hash is some of the best I've ever had. What better way to end Women's History Month than enjoying a breakfast-themed dinner party in pajamas at Eggs Up Grill? I had an eggcellent time chatting with the owners, Priscilla and her husband John, who were exceptionally welcoming and contributed to a pleasant dining atmosphere. I discovered that Eggs Up Grill is a neighborhood establishment specializing in breakfast, brunch, and lunch, and it was the first of its kind to open in Riverview in 2020. The menu served was a selection of pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, and sausage which brought back childhood memories. However, the highlight of the meal was the fresh fruit starters accompanied by grilled blueberry muffins. Yes, grilled muffins, which had a lovely caramelized finish that left me wanting more. The evening continued with a delightful croissant-style donut topped with strawberry, caramel, and chocolate. Visited this brunch spot on a Saturday morning, and surprisingly it wasn't as packed as I thought. I typically frequent the Foxtail coffee next door and always see this cute little diner, so I was excited to try! First things first, the service and our server was AMAZINGGG. Our server did such a good job of checking up on us and making sure we had everything we needed. I ordered an omelet but probably would get something else if I went again. It was good, but was definitely missing something. The home fries were super good and flavorful. I tried some of my friends pancakes and they were honestly the best I've had in awhile! Went to Eggs up grill for breakfast today to redeem a loyalty bonus. On your birthday they give you a free entree and a drink. I decided to have the Texas Farmhouse omelette which included home fries and a biscuit. I had the jalapeños and mushrooms removed and washed it down with iced tea. The omelette was made with 4 eggs and was filled with spicy sausage and pepper jack cheese. I will get 3 meals out of it. read more

It could've been seasoned a bit more as it was too bland for my liking. It seemed like there was very little effort into making the dish tasty or attractive. This is all about the service not the food Alisa was my server. I placed a carry out order and specifically asked for extra butter and jelly for my toast. So once I got to work I saw that I did not have any utensils, butter, jelly or anything in my bag. When I called and told her what she did wrong, Alisa had an attitude. I should have checked the bag before leaving. She told me to come back and get the utensils. I was not leaving work at that point. I asked for a manager, she told me that she would relay the message! right! Then she left me on hold forever hoping I would hang up. Instead I wrote a review. It could have been handled much better. I usually love going to EGGS Up but her service was awful. read more

The environment is really nice, staff are friendly. Food is not good. Steak and eggs were very seasoned with a lot of spices, with doesn't say on the menu, we were prepared for this seasoned in the morning. Steak came with a lot of hard parts. Crab cake eggs Benedict has the same flavor, too spiced. We ordered home fries more crispy and they give a cold potato soggy. read more

The service is great. Lisa treated us as though we come there everyday. The food was fresh and plenty, cooked just the way we like it. The crab cakes were actually more crab than batter and paired well in the seasonal menu item. I have been several times and have tried something different every time and Eggs Up has not missed. I had a craving for shrimp and grits so I placed a to go order here based on a friends recommendation. I was pleasantly surprised! The shrimp was very flavorful. I loved the taste and creaminess of the grits. The portion was huge so I had to save some for later. I also loved the fresh grilled biscuit. So, it's Mother's Day and we decided to drop in here after church. My girlfriend and her daughter were hungry, as was I. They had been here before and said it was very good. Our server was Lisa, she greeted us with a smile and - Happy Mother's Day! She was very nice and attentive. We looked over the menu and ordered our food. One thing we noticed was that items around us, that had come in at same time or even after us. They were getting their food rather quickly. It seemed to take a while for our food to come out. When it did, we were not very impressed. I had half a Belgian waffle, which was lukewarm at best, scrambled eggs and 2 pieces of not very warm bacon. Her daughter had French toast, which may have been the only food cooked right. She had an over medium egg which looked to be good a little longer than that. My girlfriends meal though, well. You can see in the picture attached that this was just utterly a waste. She ordered cheese eggs, and the little piece of cheese they slapped in only covered 1/3 of her eggs and wasn't mixed into the eggs. I guarantee they forgot it was supposed to be cheese eggs and just threw it on last minute. That's exactly what it looked it. Unacceptable!! Her toast, was suppose to be sour dough, they gave her super hard rye toast. When she told lisa about the toast she apologized and went to get the sour dough, only to be told they were out of sour dough. But a minute later another server brought us sourdough and said it was the last of it. Now where did he come up with this toast? Overall, I would bet a ton of money that our food was sitting for a while, before coming to us. Nothing was hot at all. It was not the experience I was hoping for in my first visit!! They were upset too because they had a good first visit here a few weeks ago. I will give this place another shot, but if it's like today, well let's just try it again in the near future and I will let you know how that next visit goes!! read more

The meatball sandwich was 10" and was stuffed with fully ground beef meatballs, seasoned well and very cheesy - so good. I tasted the salad and it was great as well, with plenty of parmesan cheese to cover up the taste of leaves that I was consuming (I'm not a vegetables guy still). While we were dining at the bar, Robby took a bit more time to tell us how the store came to be, being named after his grandmother who, though she wasn't around to see what he had started, would no doubt be very proud as his/his employee service was excellent and the food was no different. At the end of our experience, Robby took our payment and we explored the store a bit. Robby was kind enough to offer me two of their mini cannolis and my friend a scoop of their salted caramel gelato on the house as a way of saying thank you for coming in; again, EXCELLENT service. Since leaving there yesterday, I have recommended the place to 7 people and will continue recommending it to more people due to their great value, service and delicious food. When it was finally my turn, there was no greeting, no "thank you for waiting," nothing. The first thing I was asked was, "Do you have a pickup order?" I said no. She then motioned for my chicken salad container, saying she needed it. I placed it on the scale and set my other items on the counter. The cashier then asked, "Are you okay?" I simply shook my head because, honestly, I wasn't. Instead of recognizing why I was frustrated, she continued talking, making comments, and escalating the interaction rather than simply ringing me up. At that point, I asked, "Do you want to argue? Do you want me to go back and forth with you?" I then asked who the manager was. She pointed to a woman beside her, who identified herself as the owner. I asked if she could ring me up instead. Even then, the cashier continued making comments. It was only after she continued engaging me that my voice became louder in response. Rather than addressing the repeated comments from her employee or asking what had happened, the owner immediately said, "Do not raise your voice at my employee." That response was disappointing. There was no concern for the customer experience, no apology for repeatedly being skipped in line, and no attempt to resolve the situation. There was also no acknowledgment that the interaction had been escalated by the cashier's continued remarks before I ever raised my voice. The irony is that I have spent a significant amount of money catering from Frankie's Deli over the years because my customers love the food. Good food will bring people in once. Great customer service keeps them coming back. Sadly, this experience ended that relationship for me. There are plenty of places with great food, but respect and customer service matter just as much. One final thought: this is Florida not NY. Hospitality goes a long way. The aggressive, dismissive attitude I experienced isn't what I expect when supporting a local business. I won't be back.

If the missed health standards aren't enough to deter people (wish I'd read those beforehand), the layers of grime should be a red flag. If that's what customers are seeing, imagine the kitchen. Also, the food was bad. Like everything. Grisly gnarled chicken, inedible, dry cornbread, and nasty mac and cheese. I didn't try anything else because it was so gross. My family members also hated their food. Staff waited until the last minute to refill things as it seemed like someone is opting to cut some sharp corners. Again, I felt bad for everyone working there. It seemed busy enough to turn a profit, yet there was something depressing about the vibe. I came here last year with my dad, and it wasn't like this, so it was disappointing. We were relieved to get out for under $100, but it was just nightmare fuel. Not worth it. Owners need to be more involved in operations here.

My favorite item here is the Black Garlic Ramen. Honestly, it's my favorite ramen in the area. This time, I decided to deviate. I went with the Mega Pork mainly because of the beautiful picture on the menu. This is such a meaty and tasty dish, although I did miss the black garlic oil. I'd totally get this again with the addition of black garlic. There's something about it that really brings out the seasoned flavors of the egg. The tonkotsu broth is always amazing with or without it. It warms my bones, and especially on a cold winter day. It's also nice that Kung Fu Tea is still the prominent brand here. It's always reliable with consistently good quality ingredients. Their seasonal Pumpkin Oolong Milk Tea is always a winner. So, what has changed? The menu now includes soft or crispy sushi tacos. They have 4 different kinds. I tried the crispy shell with smoked salmon. I LOVE it!! I almost ordered another one, but it would have been too much with the ramen. I can't wait to get it again. I really love that fried maki wrap. It's so light & crunchy. It really does add a good amount of texture to the sushi along with the cucumber. So, I almost got one of the 4 different udons on the menu. It was going to be a toss up between the Kimchi Shrimp and the Black Garlic. Again, it was the beautiful pictures on the menu that lured me in. Ah, but I went with the ramen instead. I will definitely try the udon next time. I was told that the Kimchi Shrimp is very popular. If that's not enough to tempt you, then you must check out the dessert menu. I saw items such as Matcha Cheesecake and Vanilla Crepe Cake that definitely caught my eye. I'm already thinking about my next lunch order. I love the rebranding and the new menu. The service is still great as well as the ambiance in the dining area. It's a place that will always keep me coming back for more. Update: Get the Kimchi Shrimp Udon. It's that Korean inspired udon dish that almost tastes Italian. Absolutely delicious! I saw so many crazy things this morning that I won't come back. 1. Is it sanitary to "polish" the silverware then put them in a napkin to roll by the spoon, fork, knife but the end people use? 2. I saw more customers getting up to get silverware, condiments, etc I've ever seen in a resturant of any kind. 3. Short older woman server put a customers togo box open under her arm pit while she was picking up something else to take and then gave them the Togo box after the opening where you PUT your food was in her armpit!!! Took over 40 min to get an 2 very small unappetizing looking omelets (but were okay) and strawberry cheesecake pancakes with frosting in the middle and on top with fresh strawberries. Instead we got nothing like the pancakes we ordered. Two plane pancakes with a glob of yellow slim on top, no frosting? And no cheese cake bites in the pancake. I didn't ask for the manager but our server (who was great) brought him over. I just asked what is this? He pointed to the menu and the photo on the menu and said it's that. I said Really...... Is it now? Let's look at that and look what our server brought me. He said it's the same. I just said okay. I wasn't going to argue it's pointless and the manager looked lost himself. So I'll let y'all decide. Here are the pictures. Ohh my 7 year old daughter's waffle was so hard she couldn't even eat it. Nor her fruit bowl that was all sour and old wilted strawberries. Horrible breakfast experience. Wont be coming back here that's for sure. read more

I did not like this place at all! The biggest thing for me was the napkins wrapped around the utensils. The Fabric was everywhere and I have allergies so I was uncomfortable trying to get it off the table and off of me the whole time. I had to ask for regular table napkins and another server helped me out. The food was very bland, I didn't expect it to be this bad. I could tell from the presentation it was going to be. My grits had absolutely no taste and they threw on American cheese like they couldn't melt it a bit being that nobody was really in there, very freaking lazy. The eggs tasted like nothing, no salt or any type of seasoning, plus I added cheese but that didn't help. The corn beef hash was okay but the way they rolled it up was very amuture. My coffee was also okay and that was it. I honestly feel like I wasted my time and money. The place also feels a little cold and tight. Too light and airy but this could be my personal preference. People want to feel comfortable when eating like they're at home just an FYI. The staff was very nice but some changes really need to be made starting with the food! read more

I recently visited Eggs Up Grill on a Sunday afternoon, and unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. As it was my first time there, I had high hopes, but the food fell short. It was either overly salty or completely lacked flavor, which was disappointing. The atmosphere felt chaotic, and it was evident that no manager was on-site. The staff seemed to be struggling to maintain order, and it created a rather unwelcoming environment. Our food sat at the pickup window for an extended period, which didn't help the overall experience. To make matters worse, I witnessed one employee openly berating another server. This kind of behavior is unprofessional and contributed to the messy vibe of the place. Overall, it was not what I expected, and I doubt I'll be returning. Eggs Up Grill was a 10/10! I ordered a coffee, cinnamon French toast, cheese grits, bacon, and home fries--and everything was absolutely delicious. The French toast had the perfect cinnamon sweetness, and the cheese grits were creamy and flavorful. Bacon was cooked just right, and the home fries were golden and crispy. The coffee was hot and fresh, just how I like it. What really stood out was the service--our server was extremely friendly and welcoming. Top-tier service all the way! I'll definitely be coming back. This was worth the 15 minute wait! Everything is so well made and seasoned. Literally the first time in my life I genuinely felt I didn't need to add any salt pepper or ketchup to anything. Seasoned to perfection! I had the breakfast bowl and shrimp and grits. I was never a huge fan of grits but I am after today! Very diverse and welcoming staff. Always my go to restaurant! Love the ambiance, food, decor, and service. The location is so convenient for me to stop in for a hearty breakfast and lunch. My family loves it here. Service and food is always great. We drive 20 minutes to visit and it is worth the drive. We usually come for lunch. Our favorites meals are the steak and eggs, good morning burger, philly cheese steak wrap and the cheeseburger meal for the kids. read more

All of the signs, including outdoor signs, have been updated or replaced to announce that the business is open for dinner. The dining room is too bright. I suggested to server, who passed my comment on, that they should figure out how to dim the lights or turn some of them off. Speaking of the server, she was very friendly, efficient and accommodating. Our server's name was Ava, and she is an immigrant of Greek and Albanian descent, who has been in the United States for 29 years. Ava happily brewed a fresh pot of decaf for us and offered drinks for us to take with us. We were given the regular menu and a dinner supplement. I have attached copies of the dinner supplement and you can see there are varied options--and you can also see how reasonably priced the options are. Portion sizes were great. Too much for us, anyway. I had the fried shrimp platter and the $13.95 price included the shrimp, french fries, sauteed green beans and a really nice dinner salad. Joanne had the chicken salad croissant sandwich. She really liked her sandwich. I liked my dinner but being candid, I would be surprised if the shrimp were breaded in house as opposed to prepared and frozen by the purveyor.
