As the morning rush started to roll in and the shift change started, the place got a little crowded. Still, someone was able to take my order and someone else cooked it. In between, I got coffee and I was able to start waking up a bit. A few minutes later, my hash brown bowl arrived. It was cooked properly, a base of potatoes topped with cheese and ham and scrambled eggs. Excellent and better when I added my hot sauce (I still miss the Waffle House salsa but it doesn't seem like it's ever coming back). The restaurant got a little loud but never rowdy. This is the best waffle house I've been in FL. I like coming here because the staff is friendly, always making sure my order is complete, and they always bring my food quickly. I always order the All star special. I like adding chili and cheese to my hash brown. The waffle with pecan is also my favorite. Listen this is the best Waffle House there is if they had a Waffle House Olympics. We've been to a many waffle houses including in ATL where Waffle House is known to be good, and this is the spot. Every server there in the AM is absolutely amazing. Especially Autumn . We usually want to only sit with her, but if her spot is full the other servers are great. Even the night shift crew is amazing . This is the Waffle House to go to if you live nearby or have a Waffle House near you that isn't the spot. The king of waffle houses for sure. read more

I haven't been to a Waffle House in a long long time. When one was built here we promised to try it and we finally did. A Wednesday morning around 10 and the place was packed but we still got a booth right away. Chrissa, our waitress was right there taking drink order. We both ordered the all-star. 2 eggs, choice of meats, toasts and starch ( hash browns or grits) plus a waffle. It cost $11 and change but it was a lot of food. Wife ordered raisin bread toast, I white, and we shared both. Nice choice raisin toast, it was great. All in all it was a good solid breakfast we both couldn't finish. And the coffee was really good. Finally got to give this place a go! we were seated right away which is always a good thing. However our seat was right near the entrance to the restrooms, so that was a negative. Our server, Christa, was awesome, very friendly and pleasant. Not a single complaint there. Give that woman a raise! I ordered the All Star breakfast cuz I was starving! Waffle house is a no brainer, and I have been eating at waffle houses for a very long time. My go to plate has always been the T-bone steak, eggs over medium, hashbrown with cheese and onions. Normally I enjoy this meal. I have been going to the waffle house in Riverview since it opened a few of years ago. This location has parking around the building. Typical waffle house limited seatting. Friendly staff, fast service and location seems to always be clean. I normally don't have problems with my T-bone steak, but this last time I went, the meat really didn't have any flavor, nothing some salt wouldn't fix, the meat was cook medium well, but it was chewy, and I really didn't enjoy it this last time. BTW, you will not find T-bone steak in the menu, but if you ask for it, they will serve it. I'm not evaluating waffle house based on this one meal, because this was not the norm, I still enjoy this place. You know what is weird? I have yet to eat a waffle at the waffle house. We stopped for a quick lunch at 11:30 and there were no seats available. There were so many workers that they were stumbling over each other, but were not getting the food out to customers. When we were finally seated at the counter, we quickly ordered as we were in a rush. I ordered a cheesesteak melt sandwich with onions. We waited almost 20 minutes for the sandwich and it arrived without onions. Grrrrr. The sandwich was filled on one half and the other half barely had anything on it. I've always liked Waffle House for a quick, no-fuss meal, but my recent visit was incredibly disappointing because of the service. From the moment I sat down, the waitress, Chelsey, had a serious attitude. She was snarky, rolled her eyes multiple times, and just seemed annoyed that I was even there. I made an effort to be polite and respectful the entire time, but she made the experience feel tense and uncomfortable. I don't expect fancy service at a place like Waffle House, but I do expect basic respect -- and that was completely lacking. It's unfortunate, because the food was fine, but the way I was treated by Chelsey made me want to walk out. I hope management takes this seriously. Customers deserve to be treated better. read more

I had just got off work early and was hungry so I stopped in at 1 am for a bite when I walked in and they told me they were short on staff and it was take out only so I left. I gave them another try tonight and was glad I did. Dani was the only server and there was only one cook. I was seated no wait I ordered and had my meal in 3 minutes. This location was pretty busy after 11pm on a Wednesday night. Service seemed reasonable as far as food coming out. I did notice I was not greeted or asked if I needed assistance by any staff -only when I stood at the register and made eye contact with all 3 waitresses did 1 finally ask if I needed to place a to-go order. They honestly seemed as if they could care less and were more interested in the dine-in customers. I left a tip only to realize later the waffles I ordered on the All Star Breakfast were missing... Stopped in this relatively new location of this iconic chain restaurant for lunch. The place was busy on a Saturday. Everything was new and the restaurant seemed clean. We sat at a booth and was greeted by Sebastian our server. He was a pleasant young man who provided excellent service. We told him this was our first experience at a Waffle House restaurant. He explained the menu and all the substitutions and additions we could order. I ordered the house special which was like a little buffet. It had a large waffle, 2 scrambled eggs, hash browns, toast and sausage. My wife ordered the same, but with fried eggs and bacon. We both added pecans to our waffle. The food came out in a timely manner. Everything was as ordered and delicious. Our server checked on us twice. The coffee could have been warmer, but I find this is the most common issue in many breakfast/lunch restaurants. They serve several other breakfast items such as breakfast bowls and egg sandwiches. For lunch and dinner, burgers, sandwiches, and steak and chicken bowls are on the menu. There is plenty of parking. read more

So if you're out and about at a late hour and craving a tasty bucket of fried chicken, this is not the place! Before we even walked in the door, we knew this was a good location based on previous reviews and the people outside picking up trash in the parking lot, weed-whacking and trimming the bushes -- not sure if they were direct employees or landscapers but either way that shows the attention to detail and care in your facility. Inside was just as clean and running well on a busy, mid-morning Friday shift. Title: Disappointing Experience with Unprofessional Service Today we had the unfortunate experience of encountering unprofessional service and unacceptable behavior at Waffle House on 301. We patronize this restaurant often as it's right around the corner from our subdivision. We have never had an issue. I feel compelled to share my disappointment as the host was ignorant and lacked interpersonal skills and should be fired immediately for her condescending and inappropriate behavior. It's disheartening when a place that is meant to provide a pleasant dining experience falls short in terms of customer service. My husband went in to place our order. He began to place his order and while he was placing our order the host asked the lady behind him for her order. He did not cause a scene he asked the lady who normally takes our order could she do so and she said no. He then began to walk out and as he was walking out the first ignorant African American lady shouted, Happy New Year, go to IHOP!! In today's economy we as consumers have choices and we don't and won't choose Waffle House again. Overall, my experience at this restaurant is marred by unprofessional service from start to finish. The lack of professionalism left a lasting negative impression. I believe it is important to provide feedback in order to help businesses improve their services. I hope that the management of this restaurant takes this review seriously and takes the necessary steps to address the issues raised. This is a brand new opened waffle house in the area. Place is clean food is good. I've came here numerous times to see if any improvements were made and so far the food at night is the best. The sweet tea could use some work, more sugar needed. The customer service however is not good at all depending what time you go. I hate to single out individuals but Gabriella could use some work with customer service skills as well as a few other young individuals. This is why I give it a 3. Id love to give it a 4 for food but customer service is not up to par. Some don't greet you, some just stare (Not All) again depends what time you go. I know they just opened so it'll take a while to really get it smooth. Once they fix their customer service I can put this spot above the Brandon locations. read more
