Canopy Road is a classic breakfast, brunch, and lunch spot. We visited with some friends, and overall it was a good experience. The service was great, and the food was decent, nothing spectacular, just a normal meal that I could have made at home. I ordered the breakfast sandwich and asked for brioche bread, but they were out. The only other option was Texas toast, which unfortunately wasn't actually Texas toast, just regular white bread, which was disappointing. I would like to give Canopy Road Cafe 5 stars but I'm stuck in the drama of it all. I would like to put the blame on my poor selection from all of the wonderful choices on the menu but I recognized a few other things that I'd like to share. The menu portion is appropriate but depending on what you order, you may get a hefty portion or you may get enough to feel satisfied. I decided on the Mexican omelet after a recommendation from our server and was surprised that it wasn't evenly constructed. The small amount of chorizo inside was in the direct center. I mostly ate egg until that section. The chunky monkey pancake was also dissapointing. It was a simple pancake with fresh banana and chocolate, as pictured. UPDATE: Went on a breakfast date with Babygirl and she's young. I figured we would share our meal. We got the Mexican Omelet but turned it into a skillet dish, adding bacon! The bacon mixed with the sausage, eggs, potatoes, green onions and more just was full bloom happiness in our mouths. Boy was that a treat for both us. I got toast and she got a biscuit. Her biscuit was soft and fresh, which delighted her. We went late Saturday morning and the wait was about 15 mins, the food service was a bit longer but honestly it was worth the wait. They were extremely busy so not holding it against them. Service was good, though she didn't come around much but was there when we needed anything. Again they were busy. We went to Canopy Road for breakfast with high hopes. We were extremely disappointed with our experience. The server was friendly but everything else was not good. My pancake was raw inside, we watched the chef grab my toast with his bare hand (no glove), grab my husband's egg with his hand (at least had a glove but ew). My fruit cup contained rotten, mushy fruit and grapes that still had stems on it. We didn't want to take a chance of getting sick. We ate a few bites of food that we didn't watch get touched, quickly paid, and left. Extremely disappointing to have paid over $50 for this. I have hopes that this place can turn around because I don't want a local spot to close, however it needs serious reform on food safety protocols and quality. read more

This is a great little brunch spot - my boyfriend and I went here for a quick bite after our ultrasound appointment and it was the perfect little brunch date. It gives me diner vibes, which I personally love. The service was great, very friendly and quick to help us. The menu is a pretty standard brunch selection - I ordered the ultimate burrito, it's made with chorizo and it was really good - I'd definitely order it again. My boyfriend had the French toast with eggs, hash browns, and bacon, and we both loved our meals! The portions are generous and well worth the price. Waiters were very kind in store, but I placed a pick up order at 10:45 I ended up having to wait 40 mins which I wasn't upset about since they were very busy. When I got my food the eggs were completely undercooked. The hasbrowns were black on the top and completely undercooked in the middle. It was inedible. When I asked for a refund the shift lead said she spoke to the owner and he said I could only get my eggs and hasbrowns refunded. So I would've been left with just a side of hollandaise and a cold biscuit. They ended up giving me a full refund but it was just a really weird conversation she said she would give me a receipt but since I'm not in store there's nothing she could do about it and I didn't even ask for one. Well this place lost my business. Got a doordash order today (Monday not busy weekend day). Got biscuits and gravy as well as Eggs Benedict. My biscuit was raw and actually cold to the touch. My eggs Benedict was over medium eggs, not poached. My English muffin was rock hard paper thin (see photo). It was $32 order and doordash offered me $8 refund. I posted to social media then called the restaurant. I asked for an email to send photos and I could take them off social media and she said there was no email so I left them online. I was told I'd have credit for 2 meals by their on duty manager and then I get slammed with this text message. I assume they have caller ID because I did not leave my name and number! Chicken had great season to it and a nice crunchy batter to it. It was spicy but not over powering. Poached egg was nicely done. Maybe a hair over but that is being picky. Sauce was delicious. We were eating at the bar, so employees back and forth in front of us. No one ever acknowledge that we still didn't have food, and no one ever apologized for the wait. I can only assume it's the norm. My coffee cup was empty, and not a soul ever offered to refill. Finally flagged down our waitress, she gave me the dregs of the pot and said they'd need to brew more. Eventually flagged down some other guy who brought back the new pot that was already mostly gone and gave me the dregs of that pot. I ordered the corned beef hash and paid way too much for a 3" round flat serving of hash and two eggs. Just a ridiculous experience. read more
