WORST shop for customer service, even if you call your order in a week ahead of time. Even if you order ahead, you must stand in line to get to the counter, your must order again and in our case since it was a standing rib roast. We were told to wait another hour and a half. We will NEVER hop there again. I'm sure there are other butcher shops around and just maybe they respect their customers enough to provide good service. read more

Love this meat market as everything is very high quality and there is a big variety to choose from. They also carry some fresh vegetables, frozen foods, sauces etc. The store is small and crowded, but that is because everyone loves it. A hidden gem in the Apollo beach area. I was searching for a meat market because in the grocery stores everything is so expensive and the quality sucks. This place did not disappoint. I've been here once but it was years ago so i forgot about this place until i searched Yelp. The employees there were so friendly to me because i was definitely overwhelmed. They have fresh and frozen meats. You have to pull a ticket and there's a personalized employee that will handle all the meat that you want which was nice. The place didn't have a stench which is great in my book. I purchased so much meat at a reasonable price, i will definitely be back! They even have some great freezer specials. Always a pleasure to shop here full of hard working attentive staff members. Cases slowly are filling back up, prices are what they are considering the inflation that we're dealing with. Obviously transportations fuel Costco up fertilizer goes up, feed for cattle and other animals increase so therefore the cost gets passed down to the consumer. So definitely come in here with a bit of patience a smile on your face and gratefulness in your heart. Everything is fresh customize options, you can have anything trimmed, tied, seasoned, all questions are answered. You get greeted the minute you walk in. Lots of unique items everything from ostrich,venison, bison to traditional cuts of beef or grass fed. Fresh seafood options, gorgeous imports too. Glad to see everyone came through healthy after being closed for a few weeks due to sickness. Family owned business is what makes America the land of the free. Of course what all of our veterans and current military have fought for to preserve. Support your small businesses and stay free. Great meat selection for a small place. We stopped in to get a bone in prime rib for the holidays. Ended up leave with a lot more. Precooked shrimp and fresh hotdogs. The prime rib was fantastic. Everything in this place was so fresh. The shrimp which I'm not a fan of if frozen were actually cooked perfectly. The hotdogs were excellent. Not sure if they made them or got them in, but when you grill them they had a great snap and great flavor. Would have given a fifth star, but the cashier was a bit rude. Everyone else was great. Apollo meats make the best Cole slaw!!! Hubby bought me turkey wings to make smothered wings...a new recipe for me....yummmm! But really what gaggle of pterodactyls did they butcher!!? They were so big one of the drums was enough for my husband. I ate a flat and it was enough for me! We have purchased meats and slaw quite a few times. They never disappoint. We have been meaning to check this place out for a long while, and we were not disappointed. Prices are better than supermarket prices and the quality in meat is so much better. Bacon in the counter is think slice so 1lb will give you maybe 8-10 slices, however you can always call ahead to order a thinner cut. In fact they take orders for any cut of meat you desire. First time at this meat market since we moved into the area and I'm excited to come back! I made the mistake of going on 12/23, right by the holiday, and it was incredibly busy! Someone gave me a tip to go first thing when they open and you'll be able to avoid the crowd- so looking forward to a less busy experience. When walking in, you grab a number and wait to be called. Each person working there was extremely nice and helpful, which is nice when you come into a new location. The counter is FULL with great cuts of meat and a board by the door boasts of their many different flavors of homemade sausage! They also have specialty meats like bison, alligator and venison just to name a few. I purchased very impressive steaks- NY Strip; lean with a great amount of fat marbling! I alsopurchased turkey breakfast sausage that we cooked this morning and was GOOD! Each employee had a mask on, which I could appreciate. How have I lived here this long and never been to Apollo Meats before? For those with the carnivorous tendencies, this place is for you. All sorts of different meats, sausages, really almost anything you could want. I went in for brats and came out with buffalo chicken sausages, chicken breasts the size of a football, and two kinds of extremely delicious brats (jalapeno and cheese/parsley, both outstanding). Prices are on par or better than the local supermarkets. They can cut up whatever you need, break packages; they're a full-service butcher place here. Friendly people too, which is always nice. Remember to take a number, this place gets packed quick! Also, do not ask the super-cool owner Steve for the secret off-menu ghost pepper sausages.
