I got both-along with cozy nostalgia... clean, comfy surroundings... and cheerful, friendly service from Marsha (she's a delight!) First of all: big menu, huge! And you can order anything, at any time of day! My super bird sandwich (turkey, bacon and cheese-i nixed the tomatoes) with fries was just what I wanted at 8am and Denny's delivered. That buttery crunch of the sourdough bread... oh yeah, it sounded and tasted good. It came with a generous portion of perfectly cooked wavy fries-but you could substitute seasoned fries or onion rings for an up-charge. This was a flavorful, filling meal. But I had to order the mozzillas, too. The menu described them as giant mozzarella sticks and yep, they are! We're talking big ol' ooey, gooey, with a long cheesy pull... and massive!. Marsha and I got the giggles over them. I couldn't finish them-and she brought me both a to go box and little lids for the marinara sauce cups. Fabulous! It was so clean and cozy in here. Lots of big booths, tons of tables and counter seating, too. The decor is warm-with an updated retro feel. They had a "Mother's Day" tree by the register (and yes, you pay at the register) There's a rewards program and tons of parking. Stopped in sometime after 10pm and was promptly greeted by a bubbly waitress. The A/C felt like it was in full blast and after we mentioned it, she asked the manager to turn it up; and she did. French Toast slam and a build-your-own slam ordered with coffee. Coffee was hot and surprisingly fresh. I say surprisingly because the restaurant was empty. Food was served hot and fresh off the grill. Being from Maryland, this Denny's was played out/designed very differently from the Dennys we are used to. June 5, 2025 Denny's is open again. The atmosphere was pleasant, clean, and fresh, despite being extremely cold. The manager, however, assured me that she would adjust the thermostat to ensure our comfort while dining. The manager "A lovely lady" & the waitress Vanessa provided us with an exceptional dining experience, complete with delicious and visually appealing food. I will say I have been back since my last incident and I rate this Dennys in all about a 3 to 4 stars I'm gonna give it four stars this time only because the service was great my food was very good! I got a grand slam and my son and daughter got the kid pancakes one birthday cake and the other chocolate chip. The bathrooms and floors definitely need either an update or just to be deep cleaned because they are not sanitary safe at all. read more

My wife and I had the pleasure of being served by Charles who was awesome in his presentation of our choices and was very knowledgeable when it came to the menu! Charles was always happy and in great spirits while taking care of us and other patrons and is awesome asset to the Denny's organization and they are lucky to have him! We humbly appreciate and thank Charles and all that he has done to make our dining experience a fantabulous one! I had the Ultimate Omelette with extra American cheese and jalapeno peppers and they also added some cheddar cheese and caramelized onions which was to die for! My wife had the Grand Slam which included scrambled eggs with cheese, bacon and toast and she did not have anything left over to take home with us! Lol! Our food was served Pinellas County hot and it was extremely flavorful and we will definitely be coming back to this location again to not only have some awesome food but to receive some great service from Charles! OMG, over $30 for the poorest breakfast I've had in a very long time. ordered coffee, bacon, over medium eggs, hash browns and toast. As you can see in the photos, bread was NOT toasted, bacon was broken bits, hash browns a mere tan, not brown. Eggs were ok. Hubby ordered an omelet, hash browns, coffee and toast. Hash browns and toast had the same issues as mine. The best part of this experience was our server, Maria G. she was awesome, even took the white bread back and made us toast herself. Definitely not the same Denny's I remember growing up going to as a kid. I use to love coming in on Sundays with the family when I was younger and all enjoying a nice meal. Fast forward to now and it's not the same. Slow service, the food is about average, and attention to detail is on the low end. I made my own Grand Slam meal and along with my pancakes, there was a corner plastic piece in between my pancakes. Like how can someone possibly miss that. About a whole inch of the corner of the batter bag mixed in with the batter smh. I asked to have my hash brown cooked hard. Never happened. And of course no attention to refilling our drinks. I use to live this place and came in today for a little nostalgia. Was seriously let down. read more

Waitress was nice and polite however the food was not hot, it was like if it were sitting there a while because it was cool, I am a person who doesn't complain ever I just take it but this time I said something and she was nice about it however if she would have come around sooner to check on me I may have just asked to get my food warmed. I use to love going to Dennys but everything has changed even food service. The place had less than 10 tables occupied so it wasn't busy but again I can't blame today's service with years ago. The Pancakes, sandwiches and coffee are all prepared to perfection. Personally I found the coffee to be quite excellent. It was smooth and very tasty. People say you can't make a bad pancake but that's just not true. Dennys cooks make pancakes you can recommend to your Mother-In-Law. Keep it up Denny's you have a good thing going. read more

oh how the mighty have fallen, it really is sad. Used to be Denny's was THE place for breakfast but our recent visit was very disappointing. I ordered a sausage, spinach and swiss omelet, hash browns and toast. My omelet, though good, was clearly not a three egger as it sat on my plate. It looked like a kids menu item. The hash browns were not brown, barely cooked and barely there. I wasn't given toast, I was given 2 slices of white bread. Wife's was the same. Our waitress Maria G was awesome. She apologized for the toast and told us she would bring us toast that was toasted and she did. She also refilled our decaf cups whenever needed. The coffee was good. My "child" plate was $13.99, a lot of money for a little food. Will we return? I think not, my money is better spent elsewhere than here. One star only for Maria, she's better than Denny's. read more

5 cuz the skeleton team that showed up on xmass to work. Yes it was crazy, yes it was beyond pack limit, yes there were over 40 dashers in there including myself. The wait time was around 10hours n then turned to a stand still. Their system went down n they kept doing what they could to accomplish orders n accommodate the people they could. And after years of waiting for the mystery encounters that tend to happen more on waffle house? It happened here to. Guest melt down and freak outs because the restaurant was at a standstill. We were all trying to be chill n patient n then some lady just detonated outa nowhere. Shouted at the staff escalated to throw stuff around. I didn't notice if she threw it at the staff but she scared the hell outa everybody. Staff did what they could to de escalate but that lady kept getting crazier. I finally got my order. No biggie. Like always i stay in open communication with my clients. The gentleman was willing to wait patiently n so was i. It was my last run before my break. It was entertaining watching someone loose their shit over pancakes. I felt bad for the staff, i used to work in restaurants FRONT side. My whole job was crowd control so i am used to that madness! When i walked to my car i noticed the madam that was pregnant was back there taking a 5 from the madness. I decided to check on her n also notice the disgruntled lady was waiting in her car so i stayed. Until she started screaming at the staff all over again n the manager got them to get inside. I have never understood the point of loosing one self in that type if hateful anger over things as meaningless as waffles or any food? Like the second i walked in? If i was the client? Took 20 minutes to take order another 25 to get food Food arrived Luke warm. French toast was very tough could not eat. No salt on table. AC was on max which turned my Luke warm food cold. Could not find salt anywhere. Two waiters and one cook. The waitress was nice just overwhelmed. Terrible customer service at this location. Brandy, our waitress served me coffee in a cup covered in purple lipstick. After I asked her for another cup, she rolled her eyes and accused me of marking it with the lipstick. Brandy did not even ask me once if I needed anything else. Also, our tater tots were burnt. An older woman next to us asked if she could lower the air conditioner and Brandy told her to come back at a better time. She stated, "she could not reconstruct the building." 5/4/2019 Update (Saturday 1:30 PM) Only a few tables were open. I ordered the same items as my last review. Some differences this time in the food quality and service. -. OJ was not cold. Server responded that was the way it came out of the machine. I told her that the machine needed to be adjusted then. - Coffee was room temperature. I complained and.wabrought another cup. -. If you like sports, sit at the bar. I have never ever in my entire life seen waitresses, or any employee of any business for that matter, working so hard and so athletically. On a busy Saturday morning these gals really hustle to the bustle to serve their customers and get the all of the DoorDash orders out to the line of delivery drivers waiting near the checkout station. I realize it was busy but to customers this just looks like purposeful understaffing. Especially when customer service suffers as a result. In all the rush I had to flag someone down for a coffee refill even though I was sitting inches away from every single employee buzzing by. It certainly is like watching a team sport though, and sitting at the bar offers a front row view. It also offers a view of the kitchen, which could use some cleaning. Dirty blackened drain pipes below a hand washing station in front of a dirty wall and dirty floor, not something you would really want to stare at while eating. And it's all right there on display for everyone to see. They really need to do a deep cleaning in that kitchen. Regardless, I would definitely return anyway and happily enjoy another grand slamwich which was very tasty and filling. read more

I'm sadly not surprised to see that Denny's at 1301 W. Brandon Blvd Brandon FL has more one star than 5. I also understand that inflation is killing us all, but $3.19 for one, that's right! one egg is a lot my husband ordered 2 extra eggs for a total of $6.38, how many dozens can they purchase for that amount. There were 3 in our party and on the receipt it indicated a party of 4. I guess to make sense of the total amount on the bill. I ordered the Ultimate Omelette, the peppers, onions and cheddar cheese on it were almost non-existent. It seemed like they took the serving for that divided it into 2 and added it to the hashbrowns and charged for that as well. I used to really like Denny's an decided to give it a second chance. Staff let's the food sit for a long time after is done and placed to be brought out. Staff does not take safety precautions with covi19. Waitress do not care about bringing you the food and are all over the place as well as going to the back to joke around. Had to send food back to get heated up, never brought coffee or sugar. Husband had just picked me up from the airport and I was starving. We chose to go to Denny's. We walk in and get seated right away but the hostess wasn't in the best mood. Her mood lightened as we made her laugh so it was pleasant to feel the air less tense. Our food was decent. Only thing that bothered us was the fact that we saw our food sitting there for about 5-7 mins before it was brought to us. I almost went over aNs grabbed it myself I was so hungry. 3 stars because the mood when we first arrived was uncalled for and almost at made us leave. It was insanely chilly in there. After a night of drinking, I've always enjoyed Denny's. This location was not busy at all, but that makes sense considering I was there on a Tuesday at 2am. Location was clean, server was nice. The restaurant must have been busy earlier in the day since they couldn't accommodate an order as they had ran out of the item. No biggie. Something else was selected and it promptly came out. The pancakes I ordered really hit the spot, fluffy, buttery, and yummy. The hashbrowns were delicious and a little crunchy.
