You get an automatic 3-stars if you offer tater tots as a side. I've never had a bad tot. I think the only way to mess it up is to not fry it. Great space for large groups and the menu is very approachable. Lots of parking available and the location is convenient. Service is good but I'm not looking for much. Normally I love Ford's Garage, but this was my first time visiting this location, and unfortunately it missed the mark. When we walked in, there were plenty of open tables, yet the host sat us directly next to a table with a screeching newborn. It felt inconsiderate and set the tone for an unpleasant dining experience. I started with the French onion soup, which was very good, and our server was friendly, attentive, and overall great. No complaints there. I ordered the mushroom Swiss burger medium rare, specifically asking for it to lean more on the rare side. What I received was the exact opposite. The burger was the most well‑done burger I've ever been served -- completely blackened inside and out. On top of that, there was a large chunk of raw, cold red onion sitting on it. The cheese was melted, the mushrooms were sautéed, the burger was cooked to death... yet the onions were somehow untouched. I've never had a burger assembled like that, and I wasn't a fan. I had planned to order the Brookie Sundae, but between the ambiance of toddlers shrieking like a pterodactyl and the burnt burger, it felt wiser to just close out and call it a night. The first two trips, the dinner was fantastic. The filled was nice size and the batter fluffy. The taste, amazing. My third visit, however, things changed. I've been here twice before posting this review. The first time was amazing. Got the estate burger and it was perfectly seasoned and tasted delicious. Service was friendly as well. The second time was on a Saturday night and it was super busy. Service was still top tier. However, the food was a miss. We ordered the nachos and the cooks didn't bother to throw away the chip crumbs at the bottom. We ended up with a plate full of crumbs and salt! A lot of it! The manager saw the plate and right away took it off our bill so I'm thankful for that. The burgers themselves were mid and everything just seemed rushed and salty that night. Decor overall is gimmicky but that's the whole point. I would come back again but will make sure it's not during a super busy time. read more

We dined at Fords Garage yesterday. First, the hostess attempted to seat our party of 7 at a booth that seated only 5. We told her we couldn't possibly squeeze into the booth and she seemed bewildered. We asked if we could push some tables together. The reautauarnt was not even half full. We waited 22 minutes without anyone coming to our table. We had to flag a waitress down to ask for service. She apologized and took our drink order. We didn't get our drinks for another 15 minutes. We attempted to flag down the manager that walked by us twice and she was very aloof and kept walking. When drinks were finally served, she didn't bring straws or limes for drinks. We had to go to bar to ask for some because she didn't feature. Then our meal came. We were lacking silverware so we had to share silverware because she never returned to our table. We were hoping to have more cocktails but even after trying to order drinks from the bar, we were unable to. No idea where the bartender disappeared to. The food was mediocre but we wouldn't have complained of the service hadn't been so ridiculously terrible. At the end, our waitress apologized for our 20 minute wait with no service at first (but not for her lack of service after that) and did take 25% off our bills. We wouldn never go back here. It was so disappointing for what we were hoping would be a fun afternoon out. We went down the street for more cocktails since we could only get one drink each in the hour and 40 minutes that we were there. read more

Stopped in for dinner,took what seemed like forever to receive our order. Orders soup & salad & Burger & fries Salad came out at room temp just glad there wasn't anything in it that could have spoiled.French onion soup came out nice & how however it tasted burnt(could have been old) Hamburger & fries were very skimpy portions. Not really anything necessarily good or bad to say. It's your regular American chain restaurant with new locations popping up around. Considering we had a party of 6, I'd say we had pretty good service with one waiter. He was also very nice and friendly. To drink I had the ol' reliable tea. It was good, but wasn't really something I get again. I should've went with a margarita or something more up my alley. For lunch I had the bbq brisket burger with truffle fries. The burger was good but the fries were AMAZING. I still think about them sometimes. From what I can remember, everyone enjoyed their meals and whatnot. Haven't been in a while, last time $17.88 for a Cobb Salad was insane. Although it is a really good salad. We were greeted well, we just said we would sit at the bar. Bartender was good, ordered one beer and one water. Ordered a Patty Melt, my go to there. We were asked how we wanted it cooked, we said medium. It came out on time! Bleeding, we showed it to the bartender and asked if that was medium, she gave a gag me face and said she would fix it. The manager had to come out and redo the order. The next Patty Melt came out with a much smaller patty and raw again. The manager said she would put it back on? She brought it out again the same small patty in a pike of garbage? Seriously cool decor. Watch for details like gas pump handles, oil funnel to hold onion rings, shop rags for napkins, tire sinks,etc. Giant portions of delicious food. Fish and chips are crispy and delicious. Onion rings crunchy and sweet, and the burnt end brisket sandwich with bacon jam was out of this world. 2/10 burger. For reasons unbeknownst to me, this was the wettest burger I have ever eaten. I truly have no idea what the source of the liquid was. The volume of liquid makes it hard to believe it was burger "juice". The bun was so soggy, it was practically falling apart when it was served to me. Did they spill something on the plate before serving it? I don't know. I still ate it tho cause gosh dang it I paid for it. I got the house chips instead of fries, and those were great. Seasoned well. Nice n crispy. The staff was very kind; although, half way through the meal, the manager (?) came up to us and tried to sell us gift cards, which I thought was weird. The restaurant definitely has a corporate manufactured vibe, but I could see how it's an easy pick for big groups. I had an Estate Burger, it was good overall, a little dry, but not bad. It's got a sweetness to it, which many of their burgers possess. My teen had the Jiffy burger which was swimming in peanut butter. The restaurant itself is themed like a Ford Museum and napkins are car shop rags (not literally) wrapped in c-clamps (cute little touches). Fun spot for pictures. Their Buffalo Chicken Dip was outstanding, Food choices and preparation were fine for a Themed-type restaurant, they change up their burgers monthly to keep it 'fresh' which is good. Plus, service is good, and kept the drinks refilled. The one element that kept my rating in the middle is that table service was long, I think we waited about 44 minutes for a few burgers which makes the experience less enjoyable. Made a reservation two days in advance. When I arrived with my party, I was told I could be added to the waitlist and there were several parties of 5 in front of us. I said I was confused as I had a reservation. Apparently they were not honoring reservations on Father's Day. I specifically picked this restaurant because I could make a reservation. Service was good had to check on why an appetizer haven't come out but she was able to locate it. Decent menu choices especially if you like burgers. The French onion soup was good and the ahi tuna appetizer was good. The chicken tenders were hot and crisp but the homemade chips cold and stale. Replaced with an order of fresh tater tots. Ok first off even though Ford's is a chain I still like their burgers and they typically have a great selection of adult beverages. This location still offered the great selection of adult beverages of which I went with their Old Fashioned which was the high point of the meal. I had the classic burger and onion rings. I ordered the burger medium well and without lettuce. They were out of American cheese as well as tator tots and forget what else. The burger was at best medium rare and more towards the rare side. It was cold in the center. The service was also a bright spot as our server was exceptionally sweet and a lot of fun. So major deduct for being out of the basics and since the grill staff has no idea what medium well is. read more

Held a corporate dinner at the location and they did their best to make it a special night. Comfortable seating, great ambience, service was top notch, friendly, and attentive. Food options were solid with great flavor. Beer was nice and cold with wide selection available. Most themed restaurants these days have flash but lackluster food and service. Finally got to try out Ford's Garage in Brandon for a casual lunch. The car theme was fun and we appreciated the big booths--the whole experience felt very nostalgic. Our waiter James was awesome! So attentive and kind. We got the jalapeno crunch burger and the mushroom swiss burger. Both were very good, but I was blown away by the jalapeno burger. Loved the grilled flavor on the meat with the sweet red onion marmalade, crispy fried onions, and the fresh crunch of the jalapenos. The mushroom burger was also very fresh, but needed more mushroom to get that savory flavor. We upgraded one of the sides to get onion rings (extra $2 charge). I'm not sure if it was a one-off, but the onion rings were super stale. I would not recommend them, but the fries were pretty good. Overall, great burgers and service! Stopped in for a late lunch/early dinner. Lots of tables open, no wait. Laura, our server, was right there taking our drink order.I ordered a special, the beer cheese pub burger, wife the fish and chips. The food came out promptly and was hot.....yes! My burger was huge, a half pound patty, pink in the middle just the way I like it, lettuce, tomato, pickles, beer cheese sauce, crispy onion straws all on a pretzel bun. It was so big I had to smash it down. Icut it in half and tried to eat side one but it turned into a big mess but that's ok with me, it was super good, hot and juicy. Laura came by to check if everything was ok and I told her my burger was a big mess but I loved it. What was a look of concern turned into a relieved smile.
