The drinks here are really good and the bar tender(s) are nice. I usually come here for a drink and to eat their chicken tender and fries appetizer (recommended for picky eaters). The chicken tenders are hand breaded and the honey mustard compliments them perfectly. One day I decided to try their Brussels and I regretted it instantly once they came out. The Brussels lacked flavor and lacked crispness. The burger however was charred perfectly and the fries were good. Overall, the food here is good just avoid getting the Brussels.

The service was great and the drinks were affordable. Nice D. J. Music I didn't have any of the food but others told me that it was okay for bar food! .

Second visit... The food here continues being absolutely delicious! My compliments to the kitchen team. However, I had to remove a star from my previous review because the service was even worse this time around. Our server was a nice guy, nothing personal. But man... we weren't greeted by anyone at the door, had to walk up to someone to seat ourselves, server barely came around to check on us, our order took a long time to come out. And all of this on a day that the place wasn't even half full. There was no reason to get that type of service. Service is weirdly disappointing, but the food is good. That's the unfortunate conclusion.

Wow. Arrived with about a dozen patrons sitting in different stages of their meals. Server came right of way, and we ordered our drinks. So far so good. She returned with our bar drinks and rushed off to get our waters. When she returned we placed our order. My wife ordered 2 chicken soft tacos with chips and salsa. I order the fried haddock sandwich with eagle fries. We wait about 15 minutes and my wife's tacos came out. Server indicated the haddock was soon to follow. 16 minutes go by and I go inside to inquire the whereabouts of my sandwich. The server rushed over and said it was coming right up. I went and sat back down, 10 more minutes the manager brings out my sandwich. My wife had eaten a taco because she was hungry, but passed on the second trying to wait. We ended up leaving it behind. So sad

I stopped by here for a drink before my movie across the street started. The first drink just I got had a bug in it. The bartender remade it but it was not good. I had the tap house margarita.

I wish Yelp allowed us to give half stars because I would rate this more of a 3.5 star. I've eaten here twice. The first time was during their first week that they opened, and unfortunately had their power out for 8 hours and we arrived soon after it came back on. Because of the outage, they were only able to offer a small part of their menu. We got the Caprese flatbread which was ok. Buffalo Chicken dip was also ok. Later on, we were able to order burgers so my husband ordered the jalapeño beer cheese burger, which was good. The only issue was that the burger patty was 2/3 the size of the bread. They should smash the burger down more so the burger & bread are the same size. Hubby got a side of Brussel sprouts, which were very disappointing. It was really dry & bland. They should maybe fry it up with bacon & balsamic vinaigrette or some thing! The 2nd time I went there was with my family visiting from out of town. The kids shared a chicken tenders appetizer, which my brother said was good. I ordered blackened chicken wings, which were REALLY GOOD! I also had the Riverview Burger, which was good but once again their patty was 2/3 the size of the bun. Unfortunately I ordered the Brussel sprouts as my side dish again because I forgot how disappointing they were the first time... still tasted dry & bland. The finisher (chocolate lava cake), which the whole family shared, was absolutely DELICIOUS!! I would def go back here again because service both times were really good & their tap list is good & I really liked their blackened chicken wings.

Came here on a Friday night after a movie. The location is great, right next to the AMC, and plenty of parking. We picked a table outside as it was nice weather, not too busy when I came in but definitely got a lot busier throughout the night. We ordered a house beer, chicken nachos, buffalo chicken wrap, and a grilled chicken sandwich. The house beer was pretty good, I would recommend it. The nachos were decent, could have definitely used more toppings as the topping to chips ratio was off. The buffalo wrap was pretty good, no complaints there. The chicken sandwich was just ok, it could use some sauce on it as it's super dry to eat. My complaint is the service. You would assume since it's a Friday night they would be prepared for it to be busy, but no. Our server was nice, however was not very attentive. He took our order instantly and the food came pretty quickly, however, it was all downhill after that. We finished our food and waited almost 40 minutes to get our check. I had to get up and find him to ask for our check, I felt bad since he seemed like he was bartending as well as serving. I do not blame him since it was busy and seemed like there were only 2 servers. However, management should be aware that Friday nights run busy and to take the appropriate amount of people working.

Best burger I have had a in a long time but Service is very bad here. More employees than there are tables seated and I still can't get anyone to greet me, bring me water, silverware or get another drink. There are maybe 2 staff there who are nice. The girl with long brown curly hair and the guy who waited me the other night he said he's only been working there for maybe 4 days. Everyone else is very rude. Not your typical restaurant/tap house that's for sure. Every beer I ask for they are out of somehow. Lady's night pineapple upside down shot was undrinkable. Tasted like straight liquor and I am thinking it's supposed to be a sweet and girly shot. $14 for the shrimp wasn't worth it. They don't even batter and fry them. I got like 9 pieces of shrimp. Only been here 2 times. I don't know how this place will redeem itself. I recommend ordering the burger to go. Music is very loud for a weeknight.

First off let me say my waitress Lexis was amazing from the time we walked in I felt like I was over my cousin house...lol Drinks was on point. Wings was really good as well as the spinach dip, wasn't a fan of the bang bang shrimp my opinion. Atmosphere was amazing! Cornhole tournament was going down. Everyone was so friendly. Anyone welcome to enter for a small fee. Great place if your looking to meet new people. Really friendly atmosphere

Wow. I've seen bad service on bar rescue but never in person. You want to exercise it in person, COME HERE!!! James, our server, did his best to make up for what this place lacked, but sadly, it was not enough. Never going here again

Great location. Great selection of beer and food. They are not brewing yet but have a great variety of local brews. Their staff was very attentive. Even saw one of the owners in and that says a lot for a business. I think this will be a favorite once again.

Very light crowd on a Sat night...not as advertised or promoted. Vibe was cool & D.J was good. Wings...fries & drinks were all good as well! I hate when establishments charge a mandatory 20% gratuity on your check...very dissapointing because we would have freely tipped more!

Nice Chill vibe, mature crowd and definitely a nice place to chill and grab a drink and appetizer. Excellent service.

Went with my wife, it was a nice chill vibe, mature crowd, service was excellent. The appetizer was definitely tasteful and prices are reasonable. I would visit again.

Food looks good, the rest, yikes.

Good food, immersive environment, smooth jazz-yes, this was worth growing up for. Joia is comfy and casual enough for the family-but also sleek and sophisticated enough for date night or girls night out. It has a roomy bar area to the left when you come in, with extra high tops. I almost sat there-but since it was my first visit, I opted for the dining room-which is actually several different areas, making the space even more inviting and sort of intimate. I'm clearly crushing on the vibe of this place... and the food lives up to the atmosphere. The complimentary bread is so tasty you don't even need the oil and spices that come with it, but they're tasty, too. I came hungry and ordered the fried cheese as an app. It's excellent... pillowy bites with soft, super shredded cheese on top (like snow). Ohhhh, so good. Now, I'll admit, I was full after this. But Joia has been on my list for *years... and I didn't want to risk not getting the chicken piccata. Ohhhh, I'm so glad I did! It comes with mushrooms and spaghetti with the same lemon sauce. So, so good. My server Sheila was excellent-so friendly and easy to talk to. She made me feel like a regular-and knows the menu inside out. They have a 2-for-1 martini special, Tuesday-Friday, 4-7. Parking is plentiful (Joia is in a shopping plaza, at 301 and Gibsonton) and there's covered patio seating. The live music was so smooth and just the right volume. Honestly, I can't wait to go back. It feels like a special occasion going there, but it's not priced that way. I've gotta bring friends and family here... often.

There's an option to sit at the bar or at the tables they have available. My friends started with Shirley Temple, which they liked. One of them also had the jolly apple martini, which she raved about! They had a great two for one deal, which they have multiple days through throughout the week. We started off with the bruschetta, calamari, and crabcake sliders. All three of the appetizers were a hit at the table! The calamari was cooked to perfection. The crab cake sliders were bursting with flavor. We then moved on to our entrées, which were spaghetti, gnocchi with vodka sauce, and Margherita pizza. We all enjoyed our flavorful meals for the most part. The only downside would be the gnocchi with the vodka sauce. They don't give you much gnocchi, but there's a lot of sauce. The gnocchi normally comes in a Bolognese meat sauce, but because I don't eat meat, I asked for a different sauce not knowing I would be charged for it, and the unfortunately the waitress never stated that. I wasn't too fond of that since it didn't have meat, which means I was charged for both sauces. Other than that, it was a good experience, and hope to go back again one day.

Our waitress, who was friendly and clearly trying her best, appeared to be doing everything -- taking orders, serving tables, and possibly even cooking. It wasn't her fault, but it made the entire service feel slow and chaotic. Despite the place being nearly empty, it took 1 hour and 40 minutes to get our food. That kind of delay would be hard to overlook even during a rush -- let alone a slow morning. Several menu items were already "out" which was confusing and disappointing for a small menu. The venue seems to book a few acts a week. You can go online, purchase tickets, and pick your actual seat - they sell seats by the table. We were at Table 20 for The Verve Pipe, and it was a four-top, in the 3rd row of tables, on the side, with an excellent view of the stage. Sadly, they do NOT offer their fabulous cocktails upstairs here, even though there is a bar. If you want to drink something stellar, you will need to walk yourself back down the two flights of stairs, and get it yourself. Instead, they have instructions on each table of how to order a standard cocktail on-line; you choose your basic booze, then your basic mixer, and a cocktail server will bring it out to you and take your credit card. Efficient, but very boring. The venue is small, but the sound was good, with the exception of the two magpies behind me screaming and nattering the whole time. Why go to a concert if you're just going to talk through the entire thing? But I digress.... This is a wonderful venue to go see some surprisingly good artists, and I highly recommend a visit.
