We did not know that walking in. They all looked at us like what are you doing here? My husband even said is this a restaurant? So we asked for a menu - which is a QR code. Yes- they have food. We decided to sit at the bar and at least have a drink. It was early so no a lot of people. Everyone seemed confused as to how things worked. Most employees spoke Spanish and we do not. A bartender did speak English. He asked what we wanted and took our drink order. He was nice. We did end up getting food. Chips and salsa=$10! Other items were priced fairly. We asked for water and he claimed they only had bottles of still water=$4.50. But we saw someone else get a glass with ice/water at another table. Also be warned there is a "service fee" of 15% (for what I have no idea) and if you use a credit card 3% card fee. We searched on line to see what people said about this place and some other reviews on Google said they charge $10 to get in although we were not charged anything to come in. In the end the food was pretty good. Bottom line- this is a nightclub with an identity problem as they are trying to serve food as well and it just does not have a restaurant or bar&grill feel to it. We won't be back as not our scene, but also wish them well with the clients they really are trying to attract.

It was open for business, but there was only one other group of two in there with us-and only one server-who was also the bartender. It was a little odd. I'm sure this place is popping at night. Our server (who was chatty at the end-businesslike before) told us there's karaoke on Friday nights and a DJ on Saturdays. I'll definitely bring the friends back for that. The drink menu is large-it would be a fun night spot. I'm just not sure I'd come back for a weekday lunch. That's not the food's fault, though. I had chicken enchiladas verde (very nice) with some of the best Mexican rice I've ever had. The margarita was also good. You can tell this restaurant has been around awhile-there are echoes of genres past, with different decor still lingering (the lighting, for example). But I love the murals outside, the bar surrounds, the signage by the stage area and the other Mexican touches. I also really like the vintage windows-it's a nice nod to the past. And it's spotless in here-so clean-with lots of tables. I also thought the prices were fair. I hope they thrive!

We ordered door dash and let me tell YOU, I'd walk 13 miles if I had to just to eat this food again. I've been here before with friends a few times, years ago but somehow never wrote a review and hadn't been back. It was time to fix both of those problems. . I stopped in for lunch on a Monday and had my pick of spots in the large, festive- rustic dining room. There are tables and booths aplenty-along with tall stools at the large bar. They bring you a generous basket of chips and salsa right away. The first round is free-they charge after that. The chips are usually fresh and crisp. To me, the salsa needs more heat or spices-but don't go by me-I have tomato issues. My server arrived soon and was so sweet when handling my questions. She helped me make good ordering decisions and also checked on me often, but didn't hover. I went with one of the lunch specials, which was a good deal. I had the Speedy Gonzalez: a beef taco, beef enchilada verde and rice (you could have also chosen beans). It's tasty and filling-and goes down great with those aforementioned skinny margs. I ordered the cheese dip and a side of flour tortillas to dip in it. I just can't resist a bowl of cheese. All this merriment on a Monday afternoon? Si!!! The menu is big-and has echos of the Vallarta's restaurants here in the Bay Area. I'm wondering if it's a sister restaurant. It's in a strip mall, with some parking in front and maybe more in back. There's outdoor seating-and I know they used to have mariachis on certain nights-and people would dance. I should find out if that's still the case. I love mariachis even more than a bowl of cheese. Gran Agave has been here a long time. I think it has a strong local following-and I need to become a regular.

My rice and beans were hot and delicious, but my cheese enchiladas were cold. The cheese was NOT melted and cold inside. The sauce was not hot either. As a connoisseur of fried ice cream, we decided to try theirs. It was just coated in cereal, not actually fried. It was just sort of meh. Service was great- she was super nice, but didn't come check to make sure our food was okay. Would I go back? Eh I'd probably go try other Mexican restaurants in the area first.

They're packed with flavor, cooked just right, and somehow hit that perfect balance of fresh and satisfying. Pair that with their rice and refried beans, which are way better than your typical "side dish afterthought" and it turns into one of those meals you think about later in the day. I've also had their birria tacos, and those deserve their own moment. Rich, flavorful, and the kind of messy that's 100% worth it. You know it's good when you stop talking mid-bite just to focus. My wife is just as loyal to her favorites, the sopes and tostadas. She swears by them, and after trying a bite (or a few... for research purposes), I get it. They're loaded, fresh, and clearly made with love. Overall, this is one of those spots where everything just works. Great food, consistent quality, and the kind of place you end up recommending to friends without even thinking about it. Highly recommend, we genuinely love this place and will definitely keep going back.

Truly-it's a feast for the senses-all the colorful lamps, the background music, the accent lighting and wall quotes, even the menus: super colorful and stylish. I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon around 1:30, for a late lunch after morning errands. I was hoping to find a new hangout for Saturday nights with friends. This place is large-so many booths and tables-and a separate bar area with tall stools. It's somewhat dim inside, even with all the windows, which just adds to the ambiance. It's also very clean and well staffed. Service was quick and efficient--complimentary chips and salsa arrived in a flash-and I truly appreciate my server telling me the margarita at the bottom of the list was $40. (None of the cocktails have prices listed in the menu, as of May 2026). I wanted to order a couple of things, since I'd been trying to get here for so long. I ordered queso fundido, expecting it to be cheese dip with a bit or chorizo. It was actually the other way around: chorizo with a spoonful of cheese on top. It was surprising-very filling and tasty enough-and I liked that it came with three flour tortillas. But I don't think I'll get it again. Don't let that deter you, though. It's just my preference. It's made well and presented nicely, like everything here. Give it a whirl! I also ordered enchiladas Suizas. They came with a small guacamole salad and beans, which I swapped out for rice. This dish was really tasty and a generous portion-so much chicken in the enchiladas-super filling but not heavy at all. I was full from the appetizer, so I had lots of leftovers. They reheated beautifully. I would definitely order this again. But it's a big and intriguing menu. I have lots more exploring to do! This location has several sister restaurants, in places like Lakeland and Zephyrhills. This one is right off I-75 and really easy to access. There's lots of parking and I think they have mariachis, certain nights. I will definitely be back-sooner rather than later-and get more details. Cheers!

I said I…read morewould never go back after my second visit because of how tasteless the food is and how expensive it is for cheap products they use to make the food. Because it was Easter and my wife wanted Mexican food, I figured after a year since my last visit to this restaurant they may have gotten better. I was actually worse. The FREE chips and salsa were terrible. Chips were hard and old tasting and the salsa was watery and tasteless. I think I found one onion piece in the tomato soup they call salsa. Let's start with the service. Mr. No personality, what do you want, why are you asking me questions about the menu truly just seemed annoyed that my wife had a question before we ordered. I had the combo fajita with steak and chicken. My with had the Carne Asada tacos. The tacos had no flavor at all. Just tasted liked chopped up pork with a lot of onions and cilantro on top had no spices no seasoning. As for my fajitas, they to were lacking flavor and the portion for what they charge was shameful I had a big plate of onions with a couple of minced up pieces of chicken and steak scattered throughout it. Both our dishes were served with refried beans and rice and even that tasted like they forgot to season it or just chose not to season it. Truly never returning to this place. It sucks!!!!!!!
