I'd call the ambiance good--nothing over the top, but it definitely meets expectations and makes for a comfortable spot to sit down and enjoy a meal. We showed up with a very large group (around 30 people) on a Sunday afternoon. I called ahead and they told us they could be ready in 20 minutes--and they actually delivered on that. That alone was impressive. The service was exceptional. Our waitress, Lizbeth, was fantastic--attentive, organized, and handled a huge party like a pro. Even with that many people, the food came out surprisingly fast. Now to the food. I ordered the chicken, steak, and shrimp fajitas, and they absolutely delivered. Everything tasted fresh--real, quality ingredients--and it was easily better than Chili's. The complimentary chips and salsa were also fresh and flavorful, which is always a good sign. My family and I had dinner here on Father's Day, as their menu had a tasty selection that my dad and brother-in-law were interested in. They easily sat our group even on a busy evening, and that was a great plus! The space was very open and without much soft seating, so it gets pretty noisy in there. That does take away from the ambiance a bit, but the food is delicious and it's easy to drop in here without a reservation. If there's a chimichanga on a menu, I just have to order it. They had a veggie chimichanga deliciously smothered in cheese, and the server confirmed the their black beans and rice were vegetarian-friendly, so I was in for a feast! I took quite a bit of it home because I already knew I wanted the fried ice cream. Our table shared the delicious treat, with six of us able to enjoy a sweet ending to a yummy meal, and the two kiddos in our group finished it off! Another dinner here and no complaints. The food here is good, I've had better but I've had a lot worse. Three beef enchiladas, rice, beans and a little salad and I was happy with my full tummy. So, we ordered lunch from there for pickup. Bad mistake. The food comes in some tin tray and you would think the food would be hot. We truly live 6 minutes from there. We unpacked and everything was cold. I was so upset. I didn't go back because my 1 year old granddaughter was hungry and for her the food was perfect because shes a baby and they don't eat hot food like we do. When I lived here, Mi Casa was one of our favorite dinner places, so we decided to stop in and enjoy a meal for dinner. The restaurant decor is typical Mexican decor. Nice bright colors. My only complaint is that the restaurant and music get pretty loud. It's hard to have a conversation when you can't hear what someone is saying. It was a Friday, so of course it was busy but we were seated rather quickly. We each had our own cup of salsa and chips brought out right away. Our party of 3 ordered queso, nachos, enchiladas, and tacos. Along with margaritas and mojitos. All of the food tasted great. I will continue to return to Mi Casa on future visits. read more

I would honestly give zero stars if I could. I went here for years & it quickly declined. The guac is plain but the last 2 times has tasted rancid like a bad avocado. I got 3 meals, 1-tacos, 2-enchiladas, & 3-a quesadilla... it came out to $100!! I told the server the guac was bad and she said I'll ask the kitchen what they think. They didn't replace it with new nor did they take it off the receipt. It was also THE SMALLEST serving of guac like smaller than the ketchup sauce that came with my son's fries. 5 of us went to Mi Casa for lunch and doubtful we will go back. We've been going here ever since they opened but after today's experience, I'm highly disappointed. They have changed their daily lunch specials to Monday thru Friday, so no real big deal although prices and serving sizes are smaller which is fine with me. They now limit the chips and salsa (which isn't great) to two small servings and if you want more, there's a $2.99 charge for what amounts to a small handful of chips. One of our party asked for sour cream for her enchiladas and was charged $2.00 for about a large tablespoon full of sour cream. When a party of 5 orders, one would expect everyone's food to come at the same time but they brought out one persons order, about 5 minutes later two more, and close to 5 minutes more went by before the other two orders came out. No explanation, nothing. If the number of people there today is any indication of potential problems, there's a serious problem here. Normally at 1pm on Sunday, the place would be full. I'm not sure if it's new management or what but the resturant has really declined this last year. I've had multiple issues with using third party like uber/door dash where the order is not ready and multiple drivers have to be assigned to it bc the restaurant is too delayed with the order. So then I switched to picking it up and often times the phone just rings and no one answers then when they do the quality of the food is not what it was when I first started going there. was going to give them one more try tonight and order one meal and they refused to placed the order unless I paid ahead and I was driving so couldn't access my debit card and explained that but they said they do not care and that's the rules. so yea 1 star, avoid the headache and the bland food. read more

Mi Casa food is great! But they should not use GrubHub to process delivery orders, and I will use DoorDash for them from here out. Order was delayed by an hour due to the delivery driver. The food showed up cold, and GrubHub refused to do anything to make it right. Not only that, the prices for everything were much higher than the menu price when dining in. First time eating at this restaurant tucked I away in a little strip mall behind Applebee's The restaurant was clean and the people were friendly. We were seated right away and brought some warm chips and salsa. We also ordered some queso with a scoop of ground beef in it (I recommend this) The queso was great, creamy and smooth. The spiced ground beef made it extra satisfying. We ordered the pick three with a mini chimichanga, tamale and an enchilada. The food came out warm and looked great. The flavors were very good. The shredded chicken was perfect in the chimichanga. I even enjoyed the rice and beans, which I normally avoid The also have a covered outside patio to enjoy. We will definately be back. read more

This will short and sweet, so this is my second time here and I should have gone by my first experience. The first time was pretty bad and this time was no better. The customer service is horrible, not friendly or excited about helping me or any other guest patronizing here. The food is average at best and always Luke warm upon presenting it to us. But in their defense this place is always full or half full so somebody likes it. My friend suggested this place and he said it was great. So try it yourself and use your opinion to decide. Update: hubby & I came here for our third time last Tuesday. Unfortunately I have to bring it down one star this time. 1. Our waitress was a REAL B. I normally don't take off stars for bad service, but this one really made it necessary to do so. She obviously did not want to be there. I wish I had gotten her name... skinny dark skinned Hispanic-looking lady with dark medium length wavy/curly hair and a super angry face. That's the only way I can describe her. I didn't not see a smile on her face at all. Her only redeeming factor is that she did consistently keep my hubby's pop refilled. 2. I ordered Mixed Fajitas this visit... it was ok. I've had better. I would come back to try some of their other dishes. I really wanted to try the Puerco con chili verde or the Beef Guisado... next time. 3. Hubby had chicken ranchero, which he polished off. He didn't say it was amazing but it was ok. No complaints with food on his part. Despite the negative experience last week, I'll still come back since it's super close to our house & I do think other servers would leave us with a better dining experience. The lady who seated us was friendly/happy. The lady who brought out our dishes was actually super nice & friendly. I wish she was our server! The guy who took our plates away was also very pleasant & friendly. I seriously left that restaurant kind of angry because our waitress was so unpleasant! I'm generally a very happy-go-lucky person too, so you gotta leave a really bad taste in my mouth for me to get upset about it. We were starving after a long day outdoors. Friends were visiting so we all decided to give this place a try since we all wanted Mexican food. Atmosphere was typical Mexican decor. Bright colors and a pleasant feel overall. It was early for dinner, around 3pm so not many people were there. Our waitress, Lisbeth immediately brought us chips and salsa. We each got got our own cup of salsa. I was impressed. I've eaten in a lot of Mexican restaurants and this is the first time I'd seen this! Bravo. I ordered the pork tamale plate. 3 tamales with sides of rice and refried beans, you know the typical sides. A red enchilada sauce was on the tamales. I LOVE tamales, but these did not pass the mustard (or should I say enchilada sauce). The masa dough was too thick and were very bland. I had to get half way into them to reach the pork, of which there was very little. Definitely not enough sauce. Rice and beans were just ok, no real complaints on them. This meal cost $17 and I think way overpriced for what you got. The star of our visit was the service. we couldn't ask for a better waitress. LizBeth was awesome!very attentive. Not saying we'll never go back, we probably will. I'm just glad I didn't expect the Mexican food we would get when we lived in California!
