Amazing tacos - incredible variety, and ridiculously good flavors. What is there not to love! Agua frescas, shrimp tacos but my favorite is the Birria with just outrageous flavor! Great food, and great price! Staff was very nice and service was quick. They had cool Spanish music playing over the speakers. There were tons of people (including nurses from the hospital across the street!) and everyone was loving the food. Ambience is excellent. Its seating is limited, but they are quick with the food so its limited space is not noticeable as they have a quick turnaround. The food is flavorful and filling. I loved the carnitas; I also had the al pastor, elotes cup, and omg their NACHOS! It packs a punch but well made with layers of flavor with meat, guacamole, cream, cheese...all amazing and delicious. Overall service wasn't the best, food was okay but asked for cilantro and onion (thought it would come with the tacos, had to serve myself, or ask for it) and was told it was be $0.50, and it was a bit smoky inside the building so now I smell like the place lol. Paid $40 and some change for two birria tacos and two agua frescas which I think is a bit much for missing the key parts of the taco. The horchata wasn't very good (didn't taste very authentic) I asked for a replacement of pineapple and there was no extra fee so that's a plus. Have been to the Ybor location and typically it's great. First time at Brandon location. Service going to order was lackluster. Don't care much about that, I was more frustrated I waited over 30 minutes for two tacos . There are 3 tables in the store. Maybe they have million online orders but I sat for 36 minutes before I got my food. Also have to clarify if you want chips. 0 sympathy for you if you don't specifically ask for chips. First visit after seeing all the ads online. The location in Brandon is along a busy roadway and may be difficult to get to. But with some patience and planning, it should not be a problem. This location is a bit small but there are some tables outside too. Latino music is playing, and immediately, you're in the mood. At least I was. I saw one on my favorites on the menu the birria tacos. Two perfectly made tacos with that broth on the side and a wedge of lime. Unfortunately, it does not come with any sides. I opted for the beans. You get a nice portion. I also got a passion fruit agua fresca. Again perfect. The service was fast. The place was clean. And the food was excellent. The food is decent,however, for some reason I don't feel like it's worth the money. I paid $20 for two small birria tacos and chips w/queso and left hungry as if I hadn't eaten. They make amazing tasting burritos here! I got the Chicharrones burrito and highly recommend this to anyone. The pork belly meat was nice and tender and it comes with side of corn chips. My friends got the chicken burrito and portobello burritos and they loved their selection. No table service, you order at counter, they will bring out food to you when ready, and you are supposed to clean up after yourself. Food is fast to get ready, about 5 minutes. I've been here twice now and both times did take-out. So my review is based solely on my take-out experience. Overall, both times I've ordered from Los Chapos Tacos the food has been great. The tacos are stuffed and the quesadillas are huge! I was able to save half my quesadilla for lunch the next day. The salsa verde is a must for any dish. I think one of the craziest things I've ever heard from a restaurant that sells tacos is that if I order online, I have to request that I want sauce with my tacos that would otherwise be AUTOMATIC when I order in store. So blown away by my meal here! The birria tacos were some of the best I've had so far. They were huge and so flavorful. Even after dipping in the consome they still had that nice crunch on the outside. I ordered the churros with Nutella dip and of course it was delicious. How can you go wrong with sugar and nutella? The horchata was so refreshing, it was perfectly sweet and had a strong cinnamon flavor. The service was super quick too, I didn't wait too long and my food was nice and hot. Everyone working here was so nice, needless to say I had a great experience. The neon sign and the palm tree decor was super cute, it felt very trendy and modern yet still retaining that tropical atmosphere. Definitely need to go back! After spending $32 for a burrito and a little bit of tacos like a taco salad, we sat down and asked them. Is there any sauce for the food, their comment was additional. I asked for a sour cream after sitting down and knowing that my burrito was dry and they said it'd be additional. Won't go back, kid behind the counter didn't really care one way or the other. I found out about Los Chapos when I was delivering for Uber. It's a little hole in the wall taco joint and can be easily missed if you aren't paying attention. When I picked up my order the first time I walked through the doors, I was hit by the most delicious mouth watering aroma I've ever smelled.
