It looked like all the food court spots were closing up, but the folks at Tacos Gone Mobile were happy to take our orders and assure us that they're usually the last ones in the food court to close up every night. Made a very good first impression! Taking a look at their menu, there's a lot to be excited about if you love Mexican cuisine. Their selection of proteins is truly impressive -- I'm not sure I've seen another Latin restaurant in the area that has as many options, honestly. Once you choose a protein, then you choose an entree, and from there you pretty much have your pick of any presentation you might want -- tacos, burritos, tortas, birria tacos, taco salads, you name it -- all cooked to order. For my first taste of their flavors, I went pretty simple -- steak birria tacos -- and I'm very glad I did. Now, as with most birria tacos, they're a little hard to pick up because the grilled tortillas get a little soft, especially if you dip them in the savory consommé broth they come with -- definitely get lots of napkins! But these tacos were absolutely bursting with flavor -- delightful. The chips they came with were terrific, too -- firm, crisp, capable of loading up with their delicious guac and not falling apart. My friend had similar things to say about the Supreme tacos he ordered. Also, do not skip on the sauces they serve up with your chips, especially the green sauce.
