We waited such a long. Time for tacos where the meat was overcooked and dry. I never get acid reflux and the food disnt settle for me and gave me such bad acid reflux the whole day other people seemed to enjoy their food so maybe it was just me. I might give it another try to see if it was maybe a lack of consistency.

Hidden JEWEL here!!! The YUMMY FLAVORS are definitely apparent in the food tho!!! Do not be fooled by the humble setting , if you want AUTHENTIC, JUICY, Mexican food--just come here!!! The cook and server were very sweet and came out to check on us often. They have tacos, tortas, chips, salsas, aqua fresca, they got it all in this cute lil place. Thank you, we will be back again!

Found Mangonadas Mexican Kitchen because we were thirsty for agua frescas. They had horchata and Agua de jamaica(hibiscus). We ended up with much more. We ordered a horchata and Mangonada. Since they are called Mangonada, I must order it. My hubby lately wants churros like crazy so churros with ice cream was also ordered and I took birria tacos to go. The girl working was sooo friendly and helpful. She offered us a good size sample of the Agua de Jamaica. She also let me know how the Mangonada was. We agreed on the tajin seasoning on the side just in case it was spicy for me. Which it is as not and was so good. I never had one before. She always had a smile on her face & made sure we didn't need anything. At the end, we both enjoyed our drinks and churros so much, I had to order birria tacos to go. I had the birria tacos the next day since I warmed them up in the air fryer and they were so good, crunchy, & flavorful. Everything was awesome from start to finish This location is in back of a gas station so it's a bit of a different find, but surely this place belongs on Diners, Drive In's, & Dives. Talk about cheaper great eats, & good drinks, & snacks with a smile.

I've been hell-bent on getting fresas con crema (strawberries with cream) ever since I tried it randomly at the Houston Rodeo, and I'm glad I was able to find it just 5 minutes from where I live! Obviously, I got the fresas con crema as depicted in my skillfully taken photo. The strawberries were perfectly ripe, and I loved how light and refreshing the cream was! The only thing I was a bit disappointed by was I saw pictures of this both on the menu and google reviews beforehand, hoping to see all the fun wafers and candies on top. Maybe it was because I got it to go, though I also wish they at least included a lid for the cup because fumbling with this thing to the car was a little too exciting for me. I definitely would like to try an actual meal here next time, as though this did finally put my cravings to an end I can only imagine their other foods must be amazing.

The best Mexican food! The owner is awesome too! Reminds me of back home which is a small Mexican town near Chicago. People might not think since it's next to a gas station but the inside is nice and clean!

I've reviewed this place before and I have to again because it's still amazing food and service. Don't let the location deter you - next to a chevron station. It's clean. The service is great and the tacos can't be beat.

I went here on a Sunday afternoon with my sister. The service was excellent (in spite of them not knowing English very well) and the food was flavourful! Chips & Salsa- the chips were freshly fried and came complimentary with dining inside! They were not as dense as they looked! It was light and tasty! The salsa tasted very fresh. My sister felt some heat from it but I couldn't say the same! 4.5/5 Esquite- absolutely delicious! It was sliced corn from the cob topped with mayo, lime juice, tajin and chili powder. I could eat multiple bowls of this. The tang from the lime juice and tajin mixed with the creaminess of the mayo is a nice balance on your palate. Not spicy! 5/5 Quesabirria and Consommé- these were nicely crisp and the cheese melty! My sister thought the beef was too chewy so this did not resonate with her well. I thought it was chewy, but not so chewy. Maybe it was the choice in meat cut. The consommé was delicious and not overly salty! They just have to get the beef texture more soft. 4/5 Chorizo California Burrito- the chorizo was delicious, a bit over cooked but still delicious! The burrito also could have been more crispy! They green chili sauce paired amazingly with this burrito because it added an acidity that was needed to cut the heaviness of the burrito. 4/5 Horchata- it was very refreshing, it could be just a little less sweet but I've had extremely sweet horchatas before so this one was a welcomed change! 4/5

Authentic Cuisine No 66. Mexican cuisine. It you don't mind hole in the wall setting, this can be your place. This restaurant is driven by good pricing and authentic Mexican food. If you want Street food, this may be your place. The restaurant is located at gas station plaza. It has limited seating. The food is delicious. We have the Birria Taco. It is overnight taco meat. Sound not attractive. But after the meat cook overnight, the marinated spice in it. Add the cheese, it is good to have. Very fulfilling. It come with a soup that I have never have before. I wonder what is that. Before the meal, they have the flautas chip with salsa. It is delicious. We also got the ceviche taco, buche and campacheno taco. The buche is pig stomach and the campacheno is the mixed of steak, chicken and pork taco. Very interesting. Service is ok. The Mangonadas is great. It is a interesting street food.

Birria tacos and mangonada to go

Yummy Mexican food served from a gas station restaurant. This review is for take out. I called and ordered 3 quesobirria tacos and a mangonada. I was told they would be ready in 20 minutes, and they were. The tacos were good. I liked that they were not soggy and held up despite a 25 minute drive home. They were a little bland on their own (lime, cilantro and onion are all on the side), but doctored up with the veggies and lime juice and dunked into the hot sauce and consomme, they were delicious. I'll bet they'd be even better hot and freshly served, but I'm not eating in restaurants yet. The mangonada was also excellent and absolutely worth the drive. It was only about half blended mango, the other half was mango chunks and a large tamarind lollypop. I liked their particular combination/ratio of sweet/salty/sour/spicy. There's limited seating in the restaurant (also limited parking outside). The place felt reasonably clean, and there was hand sanitizer readily available.

Hands down the best mangonada i've ever had. I have been obsessed with mangonadas since moving to Tampa and this has to be the best yet it has so much flavor overall so delicious!

I just got this and within 5 minutes I almost didn't get this shot. Sooooo good.

They are really good and take pride in their business and food. Don't ever disrespect me and not come to Mangonadas when you hit up Tampa.

We started with nachos for the table with chipotle cheese sauce, pickled red onion, pickled chile, guacamole, queso fresco, and sour cream and they were the perfect way to kick everything off. For mains, we ordered the enchiladas poblanas (chicken, queso fresco, house-made mole, crema, onion, and sesame) and shared the steak Tampiqueña with grilled strip steak, refried beans, and rajas corn enchiladas. The steak was genuinely perfection so flavorful and cooked beautifully. I also treated myself to an espresso martini, which was divine...maybe just a little strong, but in the best way. We had a delicious lunch right before our concert, and the location made it super convenient since it was right where we were staying. Overall, such a great sisters' trip meal, amazing food, fun vibe, and a perfect pre-concert stop. Would 100% recommend!!!

It's the perfect spot for a girls' night really. Our waitress was so sweet and even helped bag our food at the end of the night, which I appreciated. There was an event going on nearby, so valet was super convenient and even discounted since we were dining at the restaurant. Overall, I really loved everything about this place. What I appreciated most is the build your own taco option, because it allows you to order exactly what you want without paying for a bunch of filler ingredients you were going to push to the side anyway. When you strip it down to the proteins and toppings you actually like, the cost savings are real. In a place like Ybor, where prices can creep up quickly, that matters. Now, the à la carte menu can feel a little confusing at first glance. It is not the most straightforward ordering system if you are just breezing through. But once someone walks you through it and you understand how to piece your order together, it becomes completely worth it. You end up with exactly what you want, and you are not overpaying for things you did not ask for. The vibe was great. The service was friendly and patient, which helps when you are trying to decode the menu. And the location is ideal. There is an outdoor patio with umbrellas on the sunny side of the street, which gives you options. You can sit in the sun if you want that warm Florida glow, or you can stay shaded if you are protecting your skin but still want to be outside watching the action unfold on the strip. And let's be honest, half the entertainment in Ybor is people watching. Add in the random roosters casually strolling around like they own the neighborhood, and you have a full show with your meal. I loved everything about this place and highly recommend it if you want to save a few bucks on food while still soaking up everything Ybor City has to offer. Good tacos, good vibes, good people watching. Hard to beat that combination.

Not much changed from it being the previous locations of other restaurants, but it definitely needs more natural light. It's like eating in a dungeon. The tacos there was a lot going on on the menu and I'm sure this is a niche, but it is not a niche. I am on board with any taco that had ground beef was kind of disgusting the other tacos. You could've made them at home and probably made them better if you're looking for authenticity this is not the place. Service the service was not much to write home about nothing was stellar, but nothing was bad. With all things being equal, this is not a place that I would naturally recommend somebody likes it but it's probably the same people that eat Tijuana flat.
