It's not easy to find cabeza but lo and behold taco de oro has it. Let's get into the experience - ambience not much to say here it's a taco truck on the side of the road. If you love the hole in wall kind of setting it's great. Cabeza - it's not as fatty as I expected but pretty flavorful, I've had some of the best and this doesn't come close but it's good Chorizo - spicy savory nice spice blend textbook Lengua - a little chew big chunks of meat it's a softer version of carne asada Solid tacos would come again read more

Worst Mexican spot ever... the salsa were frozen in their cups. They weren't made fresh. The burrito was skimp on the meat So were the tacos. I got a tostada. I asked for the trips to be cooked. Well it was mushy. It was just an overall bad experience. read more

We stopped by here for lunch. Though a food truck, they do have a few outdoor tables you can sit at. The service was fast and the food was great. I got a carne asada taco, a carne asada taco supreme and a sope. I preferred the taco to the taco supreme. I had never had a sope before and was really glad I tried it and will definitely have it again next time. I look forward to coming back here again. read more

Best authentic Mexican food in town. I had the chicken enchilada with the green sauce. The tortilla was so fresh, the chicken was juicy and tender, the side of rice and beans were perfectly seasoned. The food was delicious! Service was friendly and warm. The Hibiscus(Jamaica-*Ha-mai-ka) was okay as I prefer it a little on the lighter more water type. it was little on the sweet side, I prefer it on the more natural side. I definitely will be back and order 1 of each taco next time very sooon...Sorry no photo, I have to remember to take photos for reviews. This was definitely a 9.6 out of 10. read more

Came here today due to our regular taco Tuesday place being under renovations. In ordered the burrito and the wife ordered two tacos and a sopa. Everything was delicious and fresh. We agreed next time we would order the burrito and sopa and split them. The service was good and fast. The atmosphere is a food truck on a busy road next to an industrial area. If you are looking for a romantic date this is probably not your place but if you want good Mexican food then this is your place.. we will certainly be back when it's cooler outside. read more

There's an incredible taco spot in Florida with an excellent atmosphere. We were in search of an authentic taco place and I had heard about Taco De Oro, so we decided to have tacos for dinner. The food truck was located approximately 20 minutes away from our location and had comfortable seating available for customers to enjoy their tacos. The menu offered a variety of delicious options such as tacos and burritos. Upon perusing the menu, we ultimately settled on fish tacos. The cost was also reasonable and not exorbitant. The service was satisfactory and our order was promptly prepared. The fish tacos we selected were delectable, and we thoroughly enjoyed their authentic flavor. The fish was cooked perfectly for the tacos. This is definitely a great spot to go if you're looking for authentic tacos. read more

TDO is my favorite taco spot I've tried to date. I came to tampa for the weekend and immediately knew I wanted to stop here. The customer service is top notch (they gave us margaritas on the house for cinco de mayo) and the quality of the food is consistent every time. I highly recommend getting the sopes and tacos, both the asada and al pastor are incredible. read more

Good food, friendly, patient, service. Prices are very fair. The birria that is available on weekends is tasty. Tortillas are authentic.

Best service and food ever! Me and my boyfriend got a burrito and tacos. The burrito is huge! They also have a small seating arrangement which is nice. The food is amazing and If i could give this place a 1000/100 stars I would. read more

Legit taco truck. Kind of tucked away in a little corner off Bearss. Authentic and delicious. You see lots of work trucks parked which is always a good sign - you know it's the real deal. Steak burrito was tasty and hearty. Lengua tacos were delish, but the carnitas and pastor tacos were phenomenal! The horchata was a great pairing to cool down the spicy red sauce. The elote was creamy and juicy. We were so full for hours haha. Great food! read more

Wasn't a huge fan of the steak tacos I ordered from here but the churros were too good. So hot fresh and filled with some type of sweet caramel. I waited for about a good 40 mins for the tacos to be half filled and the steak dry, like come on be for real? I wasn't too upset since the meal was cheap but I won't be back. read more

There is no going wrong with this place The burritos are big, great portion and flavor. We got a lengua burrito and the meat was tender and juicy. The sopes are also great. If you are into crunchy fried, you will love it The asada and pastor tacos are so so flavorful, it's ridiculous, packed on protein The price is great. It's like a taco Tuesday special forever read more

My husband and I drive by this truck every weekend when we do our grocery shopping trips and have been telling ourselves we will stop by eventually! Well, we finally made the stop and no regrets! It was just as great as I anticipated and what made the stop cherry on top was they have $3 large horchata!! We ordered the tacos and sopes and they were beyond delicious. The sopes were basically a thick taco. Crunchy on the outside and soft of the inside. The tacos and sopes come with a red and green sauce. The red sauce definitely has kick to it. I think my favorite was the chicken taco and sopes. My husband actually agreed with me too and he's usually a steak/beef taco guy. Tacos are $2 and sopes are $3. Great price for authentic food! They have outdoor seating but it's pretty limited, but that's too be expected with a food truck, so we took our food and ate at home. The horchata is wonderfully spiced, sweet, and refreshing. I think I'm going to stop by on our next grocery trip even if I'm not hungry just for more horchata. read more

Love these Mexican street tacos. And the price is Right. This food truck is a must try!!!

Called in my order of every taco but the Tripe and Tongue, and added some churros. My order was ready in 10 mins and my total for 5 tacos + churros was about $13. All of the tacos were pretty tasty, however some of them had burnt ends. My favorites were the Pastor and Carnitas Tacos. The churros were 4/$3 and they had some sauce injected into the middle of them which was pretty tasty. Will probably be back because you can't beat the price. read more

Tacos de Oro has the best tacos and eloté I've had in Tampa! I've been a customer since 2022 and I've brought multiple friends/family from within and outside of Tampa here. They never disappoint with their food, customer service, and kindness. read more

We stopped at the newer location for this taco truck at the Chevron gas station at 3939 Land O Lakes BLVD. There was only one person working but he was so friendly and pleasant. The wait wasn't too bad either. We tried out a taco (Azada), sope (Azada), burrito (Azada), and Agua de Orchata. The food was very good but my favorite was the sope! Highly recommend! I'm glad they have an authentic Mexican taco spot close to home. The Agua de Orchata was good - very cinnamon-y. Great prices and great customer service. Plenty of parking available around the gas station. Easy access in and out of the area to get to the food truck as well. read more

Excellent value, classic Mexican street taste. We will be back 100%. Can't believe it took so long to try it

I've come to the conclusion that no matter how hard I try to find Tacos like the ones in my hometown, they'll never come close. I was very excited to try this taco place, so me and husband decided to try them on a Friday afternoon about two weeks ago. We ordered tacos, sopes, a torta & burrito. Sadly when my husband returned back home, he broke the news that they were out of beans. So, my sopes only came with meat and the rest of the other toppings. In all honesty, They weren't bad but I'm not used to eating my sopes without refried beans. Although I must say, the quality of the meat was actually pretty good and the torta was surprisingly tasty. I didn't get to try the tacos or the burrito, but my husband seemed to enjoy them. Fast forward to last week, we decided to try another taco de oro food truck on N Florida (same owners - we asked!) this time we went on a Saturday around 3-4pm. But to my disappointment, we came across the same thing, they were out of beans! I've never experienced a food truck being limited on beans, unless it's just been my luck (twice!) So I decided to stick to reordering a Torta & a side of Tacos. My husband got Tacos and a burrito. Well, here goes.... I don't know if it was the quality of the tortilla or everything all together but I did not enjoy the Tacos, AT ALL! The meat wasn't good like the first time and this time around it was just full of fat & dry - not at all tender. Hopefully one day I'll find a decent taco place but for now I'll have to continue making my own tacos. As I always say, another one bites the dust. read more

I've been trying to find a taco spot around Tampa for the past two years I be been here but nothing has been consistent or convenient for me. Taco De Oro changed my mind. It's right up the street from me and I'm not eating anywhere else. They are friendly and have great customer service. I usually order over the phone and the food is usually ready by the time I get there. From the tacos, sopes, burritos and quesadillas they can't miss. There horchata is top notch. Also they have Elotes now. I'm headed there right now!!! read more

One of a kind Taco truck, I have had plenty of tacos from food trucks but this hit the spot. The place empty at the time I went it soon after I arrive so did a bunch of customers. Which made me want the food even more. I had four tacos, 2 carne asada and 2 carnitas. My wife and I tried one each and we both loved them. Carnitas is a hit or miss for me on most food trucks but this one was hit and we will be back for sure. read more

Authentic Mexican Tacos. Don't be put off by the truck or location Taco De Oro makes killer Mexican style tacos at a killer price. Mexican style tacos usually only consists of a meat, onion, cilantro, and some home made hot sauce which is the way they do it. Meat wise they have chorizo( my personal favorite), chicken, carnitas, steak, tongue, and more! You can also get tacos supreme for a little more which includes all the fixens like crema, tomatoe, cheese, etc. At the low price of $2 for a standard taco, you'll be blown away. They don't have much for seating or anything because they are a taco truck but they do have a covered area with some tables that you can sit down and eat at. The window guy is awesome too. If you're into tacos you must come try this place, you will not be disappointed. read more

Date: 4-15-19 Time:1200 Brief: Another great authentic taco spot in Tampa with fresh food, great prices and friendly service. Ever have a few tacos and then go...is it cool just to make a other order? These tacos are that good. The portein is ample and the toppings cilantro and red onion are perfect! I found the red onion to be a little different that what I was use to, but a nice touch. The lengua was tender and earthy, the chorizo was spicy and a bit greasy and the pastor was packed with flavor. The sauces red/green we're both delicious. What else can you ask for? For me....not much. read more

This food truck is easy to spot from the roadway and has a small covered seated area for patrons. I had their churros that were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. All I can say is YES! These tacos are delicious. the sopes are perfectly crunchy. The price is right! I was so surprised this type of quality came from a food truck. The green sauce and the red sauce are also on point. Can we talk about the price again?! Ever since I discovered them I've been going for lunch at least twice a week. We used to really enjoy this place. The food and ambiance were pretty good and enjoyable. However this time will likely be our last. The food had declined and the loud music was straight Club style. The extreme profanity and vulgarity that made me uncomfortable just infuriated me that they subjected my young children and family such nastiness. I don't see a need to be back and I'd suggest you think twice about bringing your family here. read more
