With my soda, it came close to $60. The service was also excellent. They immediately gave us a large bowl of chips and salsa and the staff was very attentive. Ambiance was likewise great. There was a traveling mariachi band which would play your requests and a table side guacamole cart, which would make you a nice fresh bowl of guacamole! We even had some impromptu dancing brought about by the merry mariachi band. There was even a lady who will take a FREE souvenir photo for you. A group of us came here to celebrate Cinco de Mayo, and while we expected a bit of a wait with a party of 12, nearly two hours was tough. We arrived around 6:30 PM and weren't seated until well after 8:00. The restaurant had noted they weren't taking reservations due to the holiday, but you could join a waitlist upon arrival--which we did. What made it more frustrating was watching other large groups linger at their tables after finishing, leaving just one person behind to "hold" the spot while they went out to enjoy the festivities. Meanwhile, we saw smaller groups being seated, which made the wait feel even longer. Once we were finally seated, service started off a bit slow. It took some time for staff to come by, and when our food arrived, multiple servers were bringing out dishes without clear organization--walking around the table until someone claimed each plate. That said, the food itself was a highlight. I ordered the Chicken Quesadilla Fajita, which was delicious and a generous portion--enough for leftovers. I also tried the mango margarita; while it leaned more toward an orange flavor than mango, it was still enjoyable. The atmosphere was vibrant and fun, especially for Cinco de Mayo. There was lively music, colorful and creative wall art, and even a photo-op wall, which added to the experience. Parking, however, was another challenge--it was chaotic, with cars parked on curbs and anywhere they could fit. Overall, while the wait and initial service were frustrating, the food and atmosphere made it a memorable visit. The food we ordered was great! It came out quickly and hot. Normally, I skip eating the beans as most Mexican restaurants don't cook them the way I like...with "sabor",but here they did! The margaritas are big so I couldn't finish even the smaller one, but tasted a good difference from other places. I thought they had an outdoor space but not this location. There are tables outside next to parking lot. So I was disappointed that we sat inside facing a tv that was playing a reverse mortgage commercial the whole time. We went Friday night for the happy hour. Restaurant is still good, happy hour is not, it is only for beers or margaritas, buy one get one, but you are not allowed to share, so the drinks were delivered one after the other. We order a molcajete with a special request to not put chorizo, but in the bottom of it, was full of chorizo. Wow! How much fun is this adorable Mexican joint?! I never knew this place existed so I'm super glad that my aunt picked it out as a treat for my birthday. The way they celebrate birthdays makes me want to come here every year! First off, the menu is HUGE. Lots of food options - even sushi! I actually think I saw pasta on their menu too. I had a medium mango margarita on the rocks (which turned out to be a gigantic drink). We ordered the queso with the complimentary chips which was so good it almost completely ruined my appetite. For my meal, I ordered the chicken chimichangas. My only complaint about this dish was that the chimichangas were not really deep fried. They did come smothered in their delicious cheese sauce, but they were more like burritos than chimichangas to me. My aunt had the steak which was presented beautifully with a bell pepper cut into the shape of a flower. Service was solid. Our server was super nice and attentive to our needs. The other ingredients were fresh and the fries were crispy.It was too big to finish so I took it home. I've had better at Los Chapos and 1/2 places outside of Tampa. 7/10 The prices are higher than average for a Mexican restaurant so I would advise going with a group and ordering different items and sharing. It has a slightly raucous atmosphere like Texas Roadhouse so it isn't the best for an intimate date imo. This place is alright. Coming into the restaurant, it was beautiful. I loved everything about the decor. The chips and salsa were on point and that's hard to find in Florida but the food wasn't worth the price and we waited longer than the people next to us that got there before us and our food was cold. This is why I'm giving this place 3 stars. My dish was good, I ordered the three tacos and got Al pastor. I mean, how can you mess up tacos. But I was a little annoyed that I couldn't mix up the tacos with different meats for each taco. Never makes sense when a restaurant won't allow that when it costs the same no matter which meat option you choose. My bf ordered the carne asada with the chile relleno and eh that steak was dry and tiny .. not a real carne asada either because they use rib eye.. his relleno was just filled with flour , barely any of the chile ... the enchilada was good but cold , so it could have been way better if it was hot and the cheese melted. The margarita I ordered was ok, was not too flavorful but it did give me a good buzz. And one of us got the trash can beverage and he did not like it, there was too much sour mix in it. read more

AMAZING! It's hands down my FAV Mexican restaurant by far. We've been here 2x now and both have been excellent! Food tastes fresh and delicious. They have an extensive selection even including vegetarian options which I loved! Their drinks are also REALLY good. I've had the regular margaritas and most recently the sangria margarita. I think the sangria margarita is now my fav and what I'll be ordering every time. Only next time I'll get the small and not medium. Medium is HUGE and they don't hold back on the liquor so this mama was feeling gooooodddd lol. So good that I went home and went to bed. Slept like a baby lol. I've had their vegetarian bean and cheese enchiladas and love them. That my go to for my meal here just because it's so good. Hubs loves their fajitas and has gotten both times. My two friends and I came here for dinner on a Sunday late afternoon and we were really pleased! The inside decor is so cute and the service was excellent. Our food portions were also really generous and delicious. Be warned, the menu is huge so if you're indecisive, you may want to check out the menu beforehand online. Disappointed in the deceptive tipping practices here. I'll never find out if it's because we were in a large party since I won't be returning. Most diners want to review all of their charges before paying, and this restaurant proved why. We were invited here to celebrate a friend's birthday with a group of 15 people. At evening's end, our server visited each couple/group that was paying separately with the total owed, holding a handheld device so we could pay at the table. In spite of several of us asking, he would not actually show any of us our charges in total to review or verify, although he did clarify specific item prices when asked. Most egregious, though, when I specifically asked about an automatic gratuity on our large group, he denied one had been added, stating it was because we were paying in smaller groups. This was a lie. After we'd paid, my friend requested a paper receipt and I asked for one, too. We were told he'd have to do it at the end after everyone else at our table had paid, which was fine because we were still chatting anyway. But now I see why he was trying to discourage us... 18% gratuity HAD been added to our checks, so the tips we intentionally gave were on totals that included the already-added gratuity. We had a fun night until that point. It's a cute place. But I won't be posting any photos to support this restaurant due to their dishonest & deceptive tipping practices. read more

The first thing we had was the fresh tableside guacamole, and OH MY WORD. It was OFF THE CHARTS. The lady that makes it is an expert, for sure. My husband had the fajitas and absolutely loved them and will order them again. I had crispy tacos and they were really good as well. Our friend had taco salad and said it was delicious and his wife had one of the vegetarian dishes and really enjoyed it. The servers were fantastic. The place was extremely clean. I shared my Tacos de Birria with my husband who is not normally a taco fan. You get 3 large tacos and I could barely get through one. The sauce is amazing and we ordered extra. My husband ordered the Trio (steak, chicken and shrimp) with Street Corn and char broiled scallion and jalapeño pepper. It was a huge plate and great value for $29. The sushi was great! The chicken tenders were way overcooked. The worst was the service. We asked for ketchup and did not get anything until around 15 minutes later and that wasn't even brought by our server. It was brought by a manager who we had to hunt down. We only seen our server twice, once when she took our order and at the end when she gave us the bill. There was a photographer, taking pictures of families. They said it was a complementary postcard photo. When she brought the pictures, they tried to upsell us at $20 a picture! We were there to enjoy a nice meal, not to be solicited by a restaurant photographer. Completely unacceptable. There's lots of great Mexican restaurants to choose from. This is a great place to go for birthdays (seriously the most elaborate birthday song- the whole restaurant will be hyped) but it's a delicious spot any time for lunch or dinner! The menu is massive. I ordered enchiladas and the portions were huge, and filled with shredded chicken breast. My margarita was large and attractively served, but seemed weak and was lacking the tart flavor of lime I prefer. We had the guacamole, which is made to order table side...DO order that! What prevents me from giving more stars was the noise level...which was epic, even in a half filled restaurant. We asked to move our table because the side room we were in was so loud we were unable to hear one another across the table. The sound level in the main dining room was better...until we were blasted out of our seats by a birthday celebration.
