Let me clarify first, our waiter deserves 5 stars and he was great. CHUY's: a Pathetic attempt at Mexican food The food is a 1 star though. Honestly, hands down the worst attempt at Mexican food I've ever had. This place honestly is a disgrace to Mexican food. The salsa was pathetic, no flavor and tasted like plain tomatoes. The second "salsa" we were told is a house favorite. It was literally a cold tomatillo ranch, gross. I got 2 ground beef enchiladas with Tex mex and a chili relleno. The enchiladas were not good but were also not the worst thing ever. The chili relleno however, tasted like a frozen pack of TGI Fridays mozzarella sticks from the store. No joke, you could taste the freezer burn on them. The beans were watery and had no flavor. The rice, you could easily tell has been sitting in a fridge at least over night. It was dry, hard, and also had no flavor. It amazes me these restaurant owners want to have a successful business, but insist on cutting corners and not making fresh food. Your food sucks and I won't be back. I wouldn't even let my dogs eat this food. Harsh huh? Simple solution, make your own food. If you want a successful restaurant, make your own tortillas, cook your own beef, make your sauce fresh everyday, shred fresh cheese, STOP CUTTING CORNERS. Any person with a good palette can clearly tell everything has either been sitting in a freezer or a fridge over night. The ambiance is also quirky and I'm not sure what themes they're going with. Woods, bricks, dogs on the wall, 90's color schemes, it's just not it. It takes me 5 minutes to make great food at home, I'll never understand why restaurants can't do the same. This was my first time ordering food , so lets start with the menu, we ordered a taco salad ? What came was a salad with taco chips on top ,not your typical taco salad but a salad for 15 bucks could not eat it, but we asked do you make it in a taco shell ? Nope not since covid so now it a salad really? No where on the menu does it state shrimp! But the people next to us asked for shrimp! So you can get shrimp but its not on the menu? Nope not since covid!!! WTF, why are things not on you menu offered to certain customers??? Love visiting Chuy's when I'm in the area. Service and food is always quick and tasty! Ordered the fajitas which are always great. This was the chicken fajitas for two and the portion is huge. This was enough to feed family of 4! I definitely recommend the Queso Compuesto which comes with guac - pico and ground beef all as toppings for the queso. Absolutely loved everything about our visit! We were greeted and seated quickly and had a wonderful server who was friendly and polite and attentive our entire lunch. We enjoyed the queso and salsa and chips for an app and then proceeded to try each other's mains; the chuychanga and chicken chili relleno were the stars but everything was delicious--the green chili sauce and boom boom sauce were favorites. really don't get the hype. Honestly, this place was worse than Chili's, and with spots like Tres Amigos offering better food, drinks, and service at similar prices, I can confidently say I won't be back. The experience started off on the wrong foot. I was seated in a booth like I requested, but immediately noticed a strong chemical odor, like someone had just cleaned the table with a heavy dose of cleaner. It lingered throughout the meal until the food finally arrived and helped mask it. At one point, a kid nearby spilled something, and instead of using a mop, an employee wiped it up with a hand towel. That honestly made me wonder if that's what they had used on my booth too. Service didn't help things. My waitress was sweet but slow and forgetful. I asked for water with lemon and got plain water that tasted like tap. When my fajitas arrived, I had no plate and had to wait around five minutes to ask again. I also really dislike when my credit card goes on a journey around the restaurant instead of straight to the register and back. There was also a moment that felt unnecessarily rude. I asked if the "beef" fajitas were steak or ground beef, since most menus just say steak if that's what they mean. She replied, "I don't know why so many people have a hard time understanding that." Maybe because the rest of the menu actually says steak in other places like the burrito section. The chips and salsa at the beginning were great. The salsa had a little kick and a lot of flavor. The proteins and condiments on my steak, chicken, and shrimp fajitas were solid, but the tortillas were way too thick and had an odd floury taste. As for the drinks, they were awful. I tried one of their signature margaritas and couldn't even tell if there was tequila in it. I upgraded to one with Don Julio and it was still incredibly weak. At $14 to $16 each, that's inexcusable, especially at a Tex-Mex spot where the margaritas should be a highlight. I already said it, but I'll say it again. I won't be back. I don't care how cute the decorations or patio are if the food, drinks, and service are all mediocre. read more

I'll start with the good, the restaurant is decorated nicely, looked clean, and the waiter staff was excellent. And the Pinot Grigio was good. As for the food, it's just mediocre. I have not been in years because last time it wasn't that great decided to try again, and again just mediocre. The best thing about the meals was the rice and the beans on the side. They were tasty. But the ground beef tacos had no flavor and the ground beef enchilada also had no flavor, the red sauce on the enchiladas added something to it. It was OK. But very disappointed in the crunchy tacos. Chuys always has great food and a fun atmosphere. This time, the wait was pretty long to get our food, but it wasn't too much of a problem as it allowed us time to enjoy the chips & dips. We ordered queso, which is absolutely delicious here, and you have to get the creamy jalapeño sauce as well! I had great experiences at Chuy whenever I feel like having good foods and great services we ordered beef fajitas and chicken enchiladas chicka chicka boom boom everything came out very hot and fresh like the way I like it. We always order a side of queso, perfect with the thinly crispy corn chips that comes with any order to start the meal. Salsa however was on the very salty side but we were offered to try the green and chipotle salsas which were tasty. Alex our waiter was very attentive constantly refilling the chips and drinks! Chuy's gives great complimentary chips and salsa with sauce samplers! I really like the thin crispy chips and the salsa has a great flavor! 9/10 Chuy's has a ton of different sauces so it's best to try a couple before committing to have that sauce with your meal! My favorite Chuy's sauces are Ranchero, Deluxe Tomatillo, & Boom Boom Sauce. Ranchero is made with fire-roasted tomatoes, caramelized onions, bell peppers, cilantro & spices. Quick seating. Our server was quick to our table. Chips and salsa are sooo good!! Kids definitely enjoyed this. Bathrooms are clean which is always a plus! Pretty big restaurant with a lot of seats and tables. There are 3 different rooms. One of them has doggy photos all over and a seating bar area which was my favorite. Server was really nice and let us know the kitchen was running a little behind. Refried beans are okay. Needed more flavors The Chuychanga was tasty inside especially with the boom boom sauce but tortilla was super sweet and I think it was probably because of the oil it was deep fried in. The last 2 times I've been to this Chuy's the kitchen I suppose destroyed my lunch that my employer takes a group (20 to 25) of us out a couple times a month. The last time I was last to get my food and ate while everyone watched me because they were all done. Had to actually go INTO the kitchen to ask for to-go containers. Today we go again. After waiting an hour to get my food, and after 3 attempts to give me something I did not order, I finally got a plate that they "super heated" so I would have a hot lunch! Of course 25 coworkers were all pretty much done, again. And yes, it was hot. And also dried up and crispy. I just immediately asked for a container, not to eat this mess later, but to take pictures of to send to the corporate office. And back to the office without a lunch to eat and back to work. A steak and cheese burrito with nothing else shouldn't be rocket surgery. But apparently it's too much for an entire kitchen staff and 2 or 3 servers handling our table. So when you all walk away with that big ole tip I'm certain our employer left you, please remember, you are again responsible for completely ruining my lunch with coworkers and my chance to actually eat before I have to get back to work! Chuy's is the perfect spot for dining after spending time at the outlets across the street. The interior of the restaurant is bright and colorful; we loved the wall of dog pics (apparently you can bring a framed pic of your dog to get a free appetizer). Our server was approachable and friendly. We got the chicken and steak fajitas as well as the enchilada and chile relleno combo plate. The portions are huge! In retrospect, we could have easily just gotten one of the plates and it would've been fine for the 2 of us. Absolutely loved the steak fajitas. They had a yummy citrus flavor. The chicken was also delicious and tasted very fresh with the vegetables and other toppings. You could make little tacos since they provided tortillas too. We come here all the time because my son loves the fajitas. I normally rather enjoy the ponchos but today was just a very bad and disappointing experience. They're not really that busy for being a Sunday afternoon but my chip base for the ponchos we're all overcooked. We have enjoyed Chuys in the past at several other locations across the country, and decided to choose this location as they have a Dog friendly patio. The menu is pretty limited compared to regular Mexican restaurants but still a pretty solid choice. We enjoy the Elvis meal even though we only are able to eat half the portions, but it includes multiple items I enjoy. Always start off with cheese dip, guacamole and margaritas. (Not sure why the bartender added olives to my margarita as that was a weird addition.) We will definitely be back! read more

Checked this place out. Went on a Friday night and waited about 30 minutes for a table of 3. I ordered the Chuychanga. It is a flour tortilla filled with roasted chicken, cheese, cilantro & green chiles, deep fried & served with one of our Sig­na­ture Sauces & a scoop of sour cream. I asked for no green chiles and queso sauce on top. It comes with Mexican rice and refried beans. It was good but I wish they had steak or shrimp options. They only offered chicken for this and mostly beef and chicken for others options. Service was good. Fun decor! read more

Amazing! We were in the area for putt putt and decided to grab something before heading over there. This place is HUGE! There is a bar seating area, and 3 separate rooms full of tables and booths. They also have a little outdoor area to have beverages if you need to wait on a table but there is so much seating I don't see wasting. At least not at lunch time. Our server, Fasa was the best! All of the food was amazing, we had zero complaints. Also if you're trying to decide whether or not to get the queso. GET THE QUESO! They are a from scratch kitchen and everything is legit and made there so this is not your regular white queso from a jar. We will 100% come back here! The pricing is reasonable, too! I arrived, parked and was seated quickly in one of their small booths. More than enough for two people. Erin was great on service, and had water, chips and salsa on the table quickly. I also asked for a side of the delicious Creamy Jalapeno sauce they do... love it. Chips and salsa here is a treat, great chips, great salsa. Ordered the Tex Mex Enchiladas. I grew up in Texas and occasionally crave cheese enchiladas with a good red sauce on them. In this case, it was more of a brown sauce with a strong chili flavor. It was good. Enchiladas (two of them) were ok... could have definitely used more cheese, and the corn tortillas were tasty. I would swear just a couple of years ago, there were three enchiladas on this dish. They give you chips and salsa as soon as you sit down, then the food comes pretty quickly even if the restaurant was packed. They used to be my favorite restaurant. The last time I came in I took a bite of the refried beans and there was like a pebble in the beans and it broke my tooth. I advised the manager and showed him the pebble and my piece of tooth and he said he would give my info to the corporate office.. She liked her meal but my meal wasn't so great. If you bring your pet's picture in a frame they will hang it up in the restaurant and you get a free appetizer what a nice touch. We started with the chips & sauces (one salsa & one white sauce with a kick). But I really want to bring positive attention to our server Brooke! She knew it was our first time so she brought out a large plate that had ALL of their various sauces to sample from mild to super spicy. Amazing experience. From the moment we walked in, we were seated immediately (as a group of 5) and our server was spectacular. His name is kendrick and he's so comfortable and warm. He gave everybody nicknames, recommended things, and was very funny. Food was brought out in under 40 minutes and it was amaaaazing. I went to Chuy's on Friday for lunch and we're lucky enough to have to best waiter ever -- Noah! Noah was fast, funny, knowledgeable, helpful, and was able to suggest things on the menu when I told him there was no way I could eat a burrito as big as my face! He suggested alternatively that the had a mini burrito which was approximately half the size and I could still get the roast chicken and options just like the regular size burrito. So I did!!! He went the extra mile to make me a cherry coke (with grenedine) which no one ever does, and the soda was soooo good! It tasted like an old time fountain drink! Anywho, I got the mini burrito, and I still was unable to finish it, but it was freakin delicious! He also let me know what was in the yummy dipping sauce (the jalapeño ranch) and told me if I liked that then I should try the boom-boom sauce next time (I think that's what he suggested? I just remember he said it was called boom-boom something and it had a little heat). So, next time, I will look for this! He also suggested that when I take the burrito home to not heat it in the microwave, but instead heat it in the oven for a few minutes. I cannot recommend the roast chicken mini burrito enough with a side of sour cream and the jalapeño ranch (and if you like queso then get queso on top as shown in my photo).
