Half Cuban sandwich combo with seafood chowder
    Frans D.

We stopped here for lunch. A very nice place, not busy at all during our visit. They offer a number of lunch combos. I had the Half Cuban sandwich combo. As a side you have a choice of house salad, Cuban black bean soup or Bahamian seafood chowder. I had the chowder and it was very good. Maybe a bit too salty. The sandwich looked a bit sad, but it was actually very good. Cuban bread with ham, roasted pork, Swiss cheese, pickles and mustard, all hot pressed. Our waiter was friendly and attentive.

The server was great, and the food was not bad either. However it did need a little more seasoning. This was my first time at this location as I normally go to the one on the water in Clearwater. It was super cute. They had the Christmas decor outside and the tiki fires were lit. The patio was nice, but it was not heated so we decided to sit inside. It was a little cool that night. We were seated immediately and did not have a reservation so that was great! I would definitely recommend going however, if you have a large party reservation is probably a good idea.

Great service and vibes. Ordered the coconut shrimp tacos (2) with a side of fries. Very good and fresh! They offer live music and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.

We were headed to the Cheesecake Factory but since it just recently opened the wait was "forever"! My son and his wife just moved into their new home and we wanted to celebrate. I suggested Bahama Breeze. My son said he was there once a long time ago and wasn't a fan but we went. Happy to say he is a fan! We sat outside and it is always a nice ambiance, tropical and fun. I have to admit since my grandson was with us, he was the one being photographed. We all enjoyed the appetizers and our meals. I had the jerk shrimp pasta and it was good. I won't rave about because it had one particular spice in it that I didn't like BUT that's my taste. My son said it was very good, as we all try each other's dish. The back up plan went very well even though I think it's not really a back up plan for us anymore. My grandson enjoyed the coconut shrimp and the sliders as you can see from the photo. 2 fisted burgers with ketchup. ( I purposely edited the picture ).

I'm Uber sad that the Bahama breeze chain will be closing April 5. I've had a lot of happy hour memories here with a couple of friends over the years and it's genuinely been a core memory for me as I navigate my adult life post college. My friends and I frequent this place as we prefer the half off apps and half off selected alcoholic drinks. Today we went for the Bahama Rita and two app choices. The coconut shrimp was super good and the chip and crab dip was also very nice. My friend and I stayed here for us all three hours just sitting at the bar and chatting away. I enjoy the atmosphere here because it's a blend between people right after work families celebrating milestone moments people celebrating their retirement parties as well as fresh grads. Who've just turned 21 enjoying the happy hour life.

Bahama Breeze is always a great go-to spot for happy hour (4pm-6pm). They have some really great cocktails if you enjoy something fruity and sweet. The appetizers you also get as a happy hour deal are delicious as well. This time around I got the Beef Empanadas, which are flavored with Caribbean spices and seasonings and, while piping hot, almost melts in your mouth. Would recommend if you're looking for a happy hour spot with great food and drinks!

It's been a while since Bahama Breeze was on the menu. I remember making a way in this world and this was actually a treat and used to be excited for a meal. I didn't know Darden was shuttering them all until last week. Sadly nothing was remotely as good as memories. Our server was attentive and made the evening enjoyable. I applaud the team as they were still all in and I hope that they are taken care of during the transition because the atmosphere was still fun. At least the drinks were still good, but I can see why they are closing. Most of the food was either over cooked or just unappetizing. RIP Bahama Breeze i should've kept the memories from times gone by.

We went with a group of friends for a nice dinner and sat outside - they have a very nice fire pit out on the outdoor patio and provided a nice ambiance! I tried the grilled chicken with crema for the first time and it was delicious! The mashed pasties with corn and cheese was the perfect compliment!

Bahama Breeze is a VIBE. From the minute you enter it feels like you're on a cruise. You can plan to take a break and a vacation at the same time. I had the Mahi tacos, seafood chowder and fries! It was excellent and our server was AMAZING!. As soon as my drink was close to empty I had another one. They have great priced lunch specials with good portions but you have to ask as its not on the regular menu. We can't wait to come back. Did I mention the music selection was AWESOME!

Quick stop for lunch on a Saturday and even though they were busy, we easily got a seat. Our server Trey was great. The food was delicious and came out quickly. Options to sit inside and out make it easy for whatever you're in the mood for

Two words: HAPPY. HOUR. This is the place. Hands down the best happy hour in Wesley Chapel. You can sit inside or outside, whatever is your vibe. You are on island time the second you walk through the door. Jai Alai is on draft here, don't miss out on a $4 20 ounce draft. The appetizers are half off, as well. We absolutely love the shrimp appetizers- literally all of the shrimp appetizers. The coconut shrimp is some of the best ever. We also love the skillet shrimp which is super filling and has a great flavor profile. The service is always wonderful, truly no complaints. In addition, we tried out the Jamaican jerk wings and they were fantastic !! Super juicy chicken and bold flavors.

Came in with family for lunch, we have been to many different locations and I am never disappointed. Our server Ciara was excellent. The dining area was clean as were the restrooms. Everyone enjoyed their drinks and the entrees were delicious as always. Only complaint has nothing to do with restaurant or service but the horrible traffic in the area!

Bahama Breeze is an amazing Caribbean restaurant. From amazing food and drinks to a fantastic aesthetic, it is worth the pretty penny to come and visit. Food- I had the pineapple shrimp chicken meal while my hubby had the Cajun chicken. My pineapple chicken and shrimp came out in a pineapple, the sweet savory chicken and shrimp laid on top of white rice and a variety of veggies. I also had my drink in a pineapple! My fiancé enjoy the flights. Service- The gentleman was very sweet, he recommended the flights and he was right, they are amazing. He was on top of everything! We were also seated immediately when we arrived! Ambiance- The whole aesthetic fits the Caribbean cuisine. The place looks like a giant beach house with beach themed furniture and decor. Our flights also came with a cute sign going over the story of Mama! Perfect place for a special event or and date!

So many nautical nods in the decor-rustic coastal-in sort of an 80s/90s way (love). You can almost taste salt in the air-you expect the Gorton's fisherman to walk in. Yes, I could settle in here for a while. And I did. There are chalkboard drink choices on the walls-and a large menu. Happy hour and daily specials add to the options. I asked my friendly and helpful server to help me choose. She was spot on. The onion rings basket was a thing of true beauty. That batter is incredible-so light, so melts-in-mouth good. I'd go back for them alone. (and to try the hush puppies and fried green tomatoes) But then came the main event: a gorgeous piece of fried haddock that hung wayyyy off the bun on both sides-and loads of tasty fries. I swapped out coleslaw for green beans. What a feast! This is a lot of food! And every bit of it was really tasty. The haddock was huge-and so well cooked. It was tender-flaky-with another light batter, that complimented the fish perfectly. I ditched the bun and ate it with a knife and fork. It was just yummy. The fries had a good crunch to them and the bowl of green beans was deep. This is a massive value for money! Oh! And the margarita was good, too! A little tangy-I like that! (There's a full bar area, if you care to belly up) My sweet server was easy to talk to and super efficient. She knows the menu inside and out-and reads her customers well and early. The restaurant was cozy and comfy-it's a casual spot, but well tended and very clean. You really do forget that the busy world is right outside the door. There's tons of parking, but beware on super rainy days-there are low spots in that lot. The water came up fast while I was there and another server warned us to check our vehicles and move them, if needed. I decided to make a dash for it-so didn't get all the pics I wanted-but that's just another reason (along with the scrod and the mahi taco, etc etc) to go back. The Great Catch is a great choice. You can trust the Gorton's fisherman!

I was confused. I took this place off our list. We attempted to go back again yesterday because my uncle wanted a lobster roll and wanted to spend time with the family. He ordered the lobster roll that was $50 then he was charged extra for side dishes that the menu already said came with them. I questioned the server and they said they asked whoever was in charge and they told her he said it was known as premium sides. These are basic sides and their menu no where listed premium sides as an option. I understand a soup maybe more but he ordered sweet potato fries and a potato, the soup was a third choice for this roll. $54 for a foot long lobster roll is insane and then to be charged for 6-8 fries and a small potato as premium sides. Please stop changing the menu. My husband wanted to ask for a manager to complain but we just left. We will go back to Zeph where nothing has changed. The service and the drink specials are why we came back here for the second time.

We had the smoked salmon bruschetta to start, no picture because it was too yummy to remember beforehand My husband had the Cajun chicken and shrimp pasta, extra spicy and it was very good and very flavorful. However, the standout was the skirt steak chimichurri with green beans and jalapeño mac and cheese the steak was so tender, the chimichurri was so fresh and a perfect match for the steak. The green beans were seasoned well and the jalapeño mac and cheese was phenomenal! Overall, a great place for a delicious meal!

We were really disappointed with our experience at Grillsmith tonight…read more The most frustrating part is that when I originally called to make our reservation, I specifically asked for 5:30 PM. I was told they were too busy at that time and that we would need to come earlier if we wanted a reservation. Because of that, I rearranged our evening and our plans to make sure we could get there earlier and accommodate the restaurant's schedule. We arrived around 5:00 PM for our 5:15 PM reservation, so we completely understood that we were early and were prepared to wait until 5:15. What was disappointing was the attitude we received when we arrived. We weren't asking to be seated early--we simply would have been happy to be seated if a table was available so we could get our three kids settled and ready to eat. Instead, we were made to feel like arriving early was an inconvenience. At 5:15, we were ready to be seated and there were several open tables. We were told that an 8-top had just left and they needed to clean the table and floor. We understood that, but then we were left waiting without any updates while we watched other guests who arrived after us get seated. By 5:25 we had been there for 25 minutes total. With three hungry children, we decided we'd waited long enough and left to find somewhere else to eat. What bothered us most wasn't simply the wait. It was the combination of the attitude when we arrived, the lack of communication afterward, and feeling like we were being ignored while other guests were seated. The most irritating part was that we had specifically rearranged our evening because we were told 5:30 was too busy, only to arrive early as requested and then feel like our time wasn't valued. When we finally said we were going to leave, we were simply told, "Okay, have a great day," without an apology or any attempt to address the situation. We understand that restaurants get busy, that tables need to be cleaned, and that arriving early doesn't guarantee an early seating. We were not expecting special treatment. We simply expected basic courtesy, communication, and for our reservation to be honored within a reasonable amount of time. Unfortunately, we left feeling very unwelcome and disappointed, and ended up taking our family to the living room for dinner and had a great experience there. After going out of our way to accommodate their schedule, it was frustrating to feel like our time wasn't considered valuable as well.

Restaurant was clean, white table cloths, older decor and booths, but cute. Place was full of two large family groups celebrating the holidays together. Bathroom could use a better cleaning and update. We decided to get a small appetizer plate: Humus, Baba Ghanhuj, Falafel, Labneh, we opted for no grape leaves as we don't prefer them and got extra falafel instead. Portion was great. Our favorites were the Labneh absolutely delicious and perfect taste and texture, humus was seasoned perfectly and falafel was good, but I can't say it was amazing though, something was missing in taste to me. We also ordered the mixed meat entree, portion was large, no way I could have eaten it alone! We shared and still had left overs. The entree came with Kufta Kabob, beef shawarma, chicken kabobs, beef shish kabob, tzatziki, fattoush salad, pita, basmati rice. We had wanted a side of extra tzatziki but instead received a large side dish of tzatziki (we let it go, but neither of us truly enjoyed the tzatziki that much. It was bland to our liking). The one thing we absolutely did not like was the bland, no dressing fattoush salad. It literally had no dressing, no taste, not recommended at all, as the side. So here's what we did like a lot was the chicken kabobs, beef shawarma, basmati rice, beef shish kebabs, kufta kabobs, humus, and loved the Labneh on and with everything. The chicken kabobs were our favorite meat, tender, juicy, seasoned perfectly! We truly enjoyed and savored the Pistachio Baklava, so yummy for dessert! Overall we gave the place a 4 out of 5. We enjoyed our food, service was attentive and friendly. We had to downgrade from a 5 because we did not like the no dressing fattoush salad and the tzatziki tasted bland to us (we are used to the more Greek style). We will be back to try some other dishes!
