Bahama Breeze is an amazing Caribbean restaurant. From amazing food and drinks to a fantastic aesthetic, it is worth the pretty penny to come and visit. Food- I had the pineapple shrimp chicken meal while my hubby had the Cajun chicken. My pineapple chicken and shrimp came out in a pineapple, the sweet savory chicken and shrimp laid on top of white rice and a variety of veggies. I also had my drink in a pineapple! My fiancé enjoy the flights. Service- The gentleman was very sweet, he recommended the flights and he was right, they are amazing. He was on top of everything! We stopped here for lunch. A very nice place, not busy at all during our visit. They offer a number of lunch combos. I had the Half Cuban sandwich combo. As a side you have a choice of house salad, Cuban black bean soup or Bahamian seafood chowder. I had the chowder and it was very good. Maybe a bit too salty. I'm Uber sad that the Bahama breeze chain will be closing April 5. I've had a lot of happy hour memories here with a couple of friends over the years and it's genuinely been a core memory for me as I navigate my adult life post college. My friends and I frequent this place as we prefer the half off apps and half off selected alcoholic drinks. Today we went for the Bahama Rita and two app choices. The coconut shrimp was super good and the chip and crab dip was also very nice. My friend and I stayed here for us all three hours just sitting at the bar and chatting away. I enjoy the atmosphere here because it's a blend between people right after work families celebrating milestone moments people celebrating their retirement parties as well as fresh grads. Bahama Breeze is a VIBE. From the minute you enter it feels like you're on a cruise. You can plan to take a break and a vacation at the same time. I had the Mahi tacos, seafood chowder and fries! It was excellent and our server was AMAZING!. As soon as my drink was close to empty I had another one. The sandwich was impressively huge, so big that I took it out of the bun and ate it without the bun, dipping it in the honey mustard. The chicken was very nice and moist; the skin had a very good crunch. The salad, on the other hand, was not great. The tomatoes were fine, as were the cucumber slices and the seeds(pumpkin,maybe), but the lettuce, not great. Some of it was a little brown on the edges. There was a piece of crunchy garlic toast standing up in the side salad. It was very similar to a piece of melba toast. Nice crunch. Our waiter was very friendly, and checked on whether we were enjoying our lunches, but he did not come by with a water pitcher for refills. Bahama Breeze is always a great go-to spot for happy hour (4pm-6pm). They have some really great cocktails if you enjoy something fruity and sweet. The appetizers you also get as a happy hour deal are delicious as well. This time around I got the Beef Empanadas, which are flavored with Caribbean spices and seasonings and, while piping hot, almost melts in your mouth. The server was great, and the food was not bad either. However it did need a little more seasoning. This was my first time at this location as I normally go to the one on the water in Clearwater. It was super cute. They had the Christmas decor outside and the tiki fires were lit. The patio was nice, but it was not heated so we decided to sit inside. It was a little cool that night. We were headed to the Cheesecake Factory but since it just recently opened the wait was "forever"! My son and his wife just moved into their new home and we wanted to celebrate. I suggested Bahama Breeze. My son said he was there once a long time ago and wasn't a fan but we went. Happy to say he is a fan! We sat outside and it is always a nice ambiance, tropical and fun. I have to admit since my grandson was with us, he was the one being photographed. We all enjoyed the appetizers and our meals. I had the jerk shrimp pasta and it was good. I won't rave about because it had one particular spice in it that I didn't like BUT that's my taste. My son said it was very good, as we all try each other's dish. You are on island time the second you walk through the door. Jai Alai is on draft here, don't miss out on a $4 20 ounce draft. The appetizers are half off, as well. We had a really disappointing start to our visit at Bahama Breeze, but the manager, Babs, completely turned the entire experience around. From the moment she stepped in, she handled everything with professionalism, kindness, and urgency. She made sure all of our food was corrected and brought out quickly, solved every issue without hesitation, and truly went above and beyond to make it right. What stood out the most was how she treated our family. She treated us, and especially our children, with genuine care, respect, and attentiveness. If you're trepidatious about a Bahama Breeze not by the ocean, don't be! This was a pleasant surprise and during happy hour ALL APPS are 1/2 off!!! (Except chicken wings) Food: we started off with coconut shrimp and yuca cheese sticks. Both very good, but the Siracha aioli with the yuca sticks was like a Caribbean yum-yum sauce- delicious (save this sauce for your fries, tacos, etc.). The blackened mahi mahi tacos are the go-to. As you can see, plenty of meat in each taco! The fries here are not fresh cut, but still really good! Black beans and rice tasted fresh as well. The tequila sunrise salmon was good, but slightly undercooked. They took the fish back immediately and even gave us new sides at no extra cost! Service: our waiter was nice, but only gave 1 water refill, taking extra time to check on us, and once didn't clear a plate at the edge of the table that was obviously ready to be taken. The service was unfortunately the only downfall, but still wasn't terrible (3/5). Ambiance: a great, open space made this my favorite dining area for a Bahama breeze I've been to (it just needs the ocean). And they have live music all weekend! My mom and I went tonight after a bad experience at another local restaurant for a quick snack. First we asked to sit outside (where there 20+ tables open) and were asked to wait while they cleaned a table which was just odd. That being said we got a young waiter who struggled with checking in (for example we ordered ice tea, I really needed some sugar packets and a straw which it took me almost ten minutes to ask for since he didn't come back by order stay long enough for me to ask when he dropped them off). We only got 2 appetizers - jerk skillet shrimp and crab dip. The jerk skillet shrimp really lacked flavor (it was salty), the cuban bread was good. The crab dip was so over seasoned and salty I still need some water to try to recover that and the cheese on top was overly browned so it was hard and had to be peeled away to eat vs. being able to scoop and get a good cheese pull. It just wasn't our night for food! Outside area was nice though with cool breeze as the rain was just starting to come in. read more

Stopped by here after work for a quick birthday celebration with my friend since they are open decently late compared to the rest of the area, and it's always a fun, feel-good vibe at Bahama Breeze. Although I wouldn't say the food is Michelin star standard, they've got a wide variety of options and Ive always enjoyed the food. Service was quick and friendly, and even though it was just the two of us for tonight, they are known for accommodating bigger groups well, too. I immediately wanted to order something tropical so I opted for the virgin Ultimate pina colada. The ultimate part is the strawberry frozen added inside that you see when you store your drink. Very cool, and very tasty! Then I ordered the coconut shrimp tacos and a side salad. I was impressed with the lunch combo menu section and the prices were very reasonable! Our food came pretty quickly and I enjoyed all of it. Even the side salad had a tropical vinaigrette that I enjoyed. I also like that there is a whole section of the menu that showcases their offering of "virgin" themed cocktails and frozen drinks for those of us who don't consume alcohol at noon. First time at this location, came in on Saturday brunch time. Place is gorgeous and spacious. Service was very nice and friendly. I have been to Tampa location and this location seem more spacious. We made reservation for 4 people. They have zero proof drinks and all were really good, one person was allergic to pineapple so they made one without pineapple. Drinks were very sweet even the lower calorie once. I had Mahi Mahi tacos with side salad and we started with seafood chowder. Both dishes were really good. We definitely enjoyed them. The food options weren't many and I settled on the Jamaican stuffed plantains. I can't even begin to describe how flavorful this dish was. It was exploding with spices.
