Went here recently my daughter had a hockey tournament in nearby Wesley Chapel. We have one of these Cheddars back in Illinois which I don't live near anymore, and don't make often. I have fond memories of getting a burger with french fries onions on top which in Illinois they call (Onion) straws. Unfortunately, they don't have that on the menu here. Was disappointed because it provided happy memories. Anyway I found some other fun things as I enjoyed the Key West chicken and shrimp. Side of broccoli, and a side of red beans plus rice . Awesome! I loved it. Spouse had that bourbon salmon and shrimp. She was quite happy with that and the daughter had lemon pepper chicken. I must say they're extremely reasonably priced! So, we ate full dinners with sides and the actual total was under $60 which was shocking! Service was good, but it was quite busy as we were there on a Saturday afternoon. Which means very very busy, and probably date night but we toughed it out. And we had a party of 7 . They said the wait was 10 minutes , it was more like 30 but it was very worth it. This was our second time we have been here. The last time was a bit of a while ago The food kind of reminds us of Cracker Barrel. We had a gift card, & came from the Outlet Mall so it was a perfect time to try it out again. Since it was late, we wanted to pick something healthier. Our first impression was seeing a lot of fried items on the menu, so it was hard to decide. We finally decided about the chicken pot pie for me. It comes with a house salad which is what I wanted.my husband ordered the Dijon chicken with mushrooms. He changed the sauce to honey mustard instead. First came the glazed Croissant. Oh my! That was so good. I'd be back for just a croissant and a house salad with honey lime dressing and be happy. That salad dressing also stole the show which made me not want to stop eating my salad. I must say, for some reason, I didn't like the cheese. Like there was a weird after taste, so I just pushed that to the side. My chicken pot pie was good. I ate some and took it home for leftovers. The crust was tasty too. This made me miss Boston Market honestly. I loved their chicken pot pie. This was a good rendition. My husband had his chicken with mushrooms, carrots and rice. This Cheddars is consistently good. All the wait staff have been friendly and prompt. I am trying to watch what I eat so I always order the lemon pepper fish with green beans, my husband gets the lemon pepper chicken. Why are the green beans sooo good? Our server, Gianna, was amazing....friendly and attentive! My Monte Cristo was outstanding! It was crispy, the ham was tender and raspberry sauce was a perfect compliment. Catching up on reviews and Cheddars happens to be on my list. Now our server was on top of her game all night with the tables she had. Back and forth and made sure everyone was well taking care of. The inside was pretty quiet and we made sure to order quickly because of the fact that we got there an hour before they closed. I kind of doubted that the food was going to be good because I figured everyone was tired ready to go home but to my surprise it turned out fantastic. Our waitress Kayleigh was great, friendly and great nails also haha One of our napkins was a bit nasty but she took care of that right away. Great vibes with her. The Honey croissants are always great. First off the mango tea was DELICIOUS!Mind blowing good, some places teas are just too much or too little even and that mango tea was PERFECT! Onto the food lol We got the spinach dip as an appetizer and the chips were a bit salty but don't think y'all can help that much. I got the country fried steak with Corn and mashed potatoes. The steak DEFINETLY shrunk naturally so there ended up being more crispy breading than meat. Not bad at all though, corn was sweet and can never go wrong with mashed potatoes. We always wanted to try Cheddar's for lunch and we finally did today (21 February) The place is very clean, well lit and comfortable. I wish they had more TV's around. We ordered the queso fries, chicken wrap, fried shrimp and monte crisco. Nice portion sizes and reasonably priced. Service was exceptional. Jordan is amazing, kind and very sweet. So I try NOT to leave negative reviews but we stopped here to have dinner and it was not busy but we waited 10 minutes at the hostess stand. The waitress sat us, and then we waited another 10minutes. We were ready to order our meal and drinks but a server never appeared. No one acknowledged us sitting, not even water brought to the table. Very friendly staff, but sometimes slow to refill your drinks...that doesn't disqualify Cheddar's completely, but they could really up their game by encouraging their team to take better care of their guests. Whether dine in or cutbside pickup, service is always pleasurable and prompt from the time my order is taken to the time food is served or delivered to the car. Today was a very rough day! To start with they were yet another establishment that was hit with very little wait staff. While the wait wasn't horrible it was still around 20 minutes while probably half of the tables sat empty. Once we were finally seated it took another 10 minutes to get our drinks, 10 minutes to get our chips and queso. Once the chips arrived it was no more than a handful of chips. It took almost 45 minutes to get the main part of the meal. My food was okay but neither wife or daughter like nor ate theirs. The fish was super mushy and tenders were like jerky. I came here for dinner with my mom. I was really excited to try this restaurant. The restaurant is very nice inside. The host sat us right away. Our server was wonderful. She checked on us and brought us everything we needed. Complimentary crossaints with honey butter come to the table to start. These are amazing. They have them as an appetizer if you want to order more. For my meal, I got a half rack of ribs with chicken tenders with a side of Buffalo sauce. This was the best Buffalo sauce I've had. My wife and I arrived about 4:30 yesterday and there was already a wait of 20 minutes (due to being near the Tampa Outlet Mall and the ever growing Wesley Chapel area). We decided to sit at the bar there and were served almost instantly by Jordan. As others where completing their shifts, she was pleasantly multi tasking also mixing drinks for customers not just sitting at the bar. More couples decided to sit at the bar and ordered their meals as well with drinks. Jordan's customer service was "top notch" from when we placed the order, through getting our food to us in a timely manner, to paying attention if we or any customers at the bar needed anything else. She is a model of how customers should be treated in a restaurant like Cheddars. Kudos to Jordan, 5 star service! We will definitely be coming back to this Cheddars, service with class and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great dining experience. read more

I've visited numerous Cheddar locations in Florida and Texas and have loved the consistency, flavors and service that I have received. The restaurant in Lutz, FL near the Tampa Outlets has to be one of the best I have eaten at. The atmosphere is clean, modern and not too bright (sometimes there are places that have too much light and you see way too much). Our Server, Kayleigh, was pleasant, polite and helpful. She greeted us, took our order (she even tried to get us to order the croissants but we weren't that hungry!) and got our drinks right away. We didn't wait longer than 10 minutes than our food arrived. My wife ordered the sirloin steak, well done. I ordered a limited item, pork chops. We got corn, carrots, rice and mashed potatoes as our sides. They had not made any brown gravy yet so I didn't have any for my mash. No big deal as everything was delicious! We both finished it quickly. It was a good meal. I was able to pay at the table using their point-of-sale device. That was quick! There was no service charge added to my bill as well. Our total bill for two people was under $45. as I left a 20% tip. Overall , visit this Cheddar's location in Lutz, FL! You won't be disappointed. read more

The kids LOOOOOOVVVVVVEEEEEE Cheddar's. It's funny and cute. I do really enjoy several dishes, and who doesn't love the croissants? And their cheddar-broccoli rice- YUM! We ordered take out this last visit & we went a few weeks prior. So I can attest to in restaurant service- which was pretty spectacular & to curbside pick-up, which didn't wow me. I love their chicken pot pie- so much I consistently burn my mouth attempting to dig in before letting it cool & the chicken fried chicken is delish! Connor usually goes for the Monte Cristo, but has been known to change it up. I never know with my daughter- but she is a chicken lover. John opted for the lemon pepper grilled chicken. In restaurant- everything ran smoothly- and btw, I am addicted to their painkiller cocktail!!! Ordering online- painfully slow and I accidentally added a lemonade to my daughter's meal and couldn't figure out how to remove it. Curbside- they text you when your order is ready. NOT. They text you that your order is ready when it was supposed to be ready- but it actually wasn't ready for an additional 20 minutes. We were shopping across the street when I got the text- so we hurried over and "checked in" only to wait about 5 minutes when the manager (I think) comes out empty handed to address the 3 cars waiting for pick up. The car ahead of me and our order came out about 15 minutes later- he said the croissants weren't ready. This visit was probably a 3 star visit because of the wait. We sat down and waited several minutes for silverware and were told they were washing some... and then the waitress brought the new clean ones out in her dirty apron... geee thanks! My ribeye was medium rare and I asked for medium well, my husband filet was well done and he asked for medium rare... the waitress said she would take the food back and have them remake but it would take them too long to remake... so we could wait for new steaks or eat the ones we had... uhhmmm... okkk... not a great customer service solution!! So our food was okay...my wife is severely allergic to shellfish and almost ordered the tenders but last minute changed to the Lemon pepper chicken (which mind you was dry and tasted just like grilled chicken) I ordered the tenders. In the tenders they mixed the fried shrimp with the tenders so she would have absolutely died here if she ordered the tenders after all. Then the food runner also forgot my granddaughters food and left it sitting at the front. Our waitress was great, she was so nice and was so quick to fix anything that went wrong (even my granddaughter spilling her water...butter fingers) The place itself was nice...but did seem like it could be cleaner in a few spots...had great lighting, nice decor, but that's about it. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming. The food was delicious. The fish was blackened and had a nice crust around the edges. It was flaky and tasty. The green beans and carrots had some firmness, which I liked. The food is reasonably priced. I do wish they had a lunch menu and more items to select from for appetizers. Really like this place! Very good comfort food with a pleasant atmosphere & great service. Tonight we shared spinach dip as an appetizer. Love the complimentary croissants with honey butter...delicious! I had the lunch portion of the Country Fried Chicken, served on a slice of Texas toast with a side of country green beans & homemade mashed potatoes. Very good! Hubs had the Buffalo chicken wrap & fries...HUGE portion! It was actually two wraps! Needless to say, we left with two to-go boxes! The only disappointment was that they no longer have the fantastic onion rings! They were the best onion rings ever! :(.
