Have not been here in a while as my previous experiences weren't that great. Decided to try it out for lunch and the food and service was MUCH better this time around. I ended up with the Tuesday Tacos (2 soft tortilla tacos with chicken toped with lettuce, tomato, onions, and jalapenos. I topped them off with the Slap my ass and call me sally sauce and was a happy camper. Everything was cooked and seasoned well. The tacos also came with a side of tortilla/nacho chips which were crispy and salted. Went here this past Saturday with my husband as we were looking for some fast casual Mexican and we were pleasantly surprised. On Saturday they have a 2 for $20 deal which includes: choice of chips & salsa or queso, two entrees and two fountain drinks. Idk about anyone else but I'm pretty excited to get that amount of food for $20 these days. Food: we started out with yellow queso which was very tasty. For entree I got a chicken burrito bowl and my husband got a chicken burrito. Both were very yummy! I was also pleasantly surprised to find that they still give you chips on the side even with the $20 deal. Drinks: I don't normally talk about this but I got their strawberry lemonade which just really hit the spot! I Just picked up an order from the N Dale Mabry location for a meal kit for four and was surprised to get it home to find the ground beef was not fully cooked, it was studded with chunks of pink meat. I also asked for blackened chicken and received the plain shredded chicken. But that would have been easily overlooked had the beef not been partially raw. The chicken itself was a bit tough, but honestly we only had a few bites before throwing the entire tray away after noticing the undercooked meat. Really disappointing, what a waste. read more

And it was my first outing since having major surgery. Best choice ever. I had the new Fajita Tacos. I chose a crunchy and a soft taco with the Blackened Chicken. I usually get the shredded chicken. I've found a new spot for my tacos and burritos! Delicious and freshly prepared food! Love that! Orders are made to order and cooked when you order. The staff were pleasant! Location is nice and clean! We arrived around 5pm on a Saturday afternoon and beat the crowd that descended on this location for their dinner time meals! I loved that they have plenty of seating inside and more outdoors. The bathrooms are inside and only hold one patron per restroom. My food was ordered to go! I ordered steak tacos and a chicken burrito! Both tasted great! I enjoyed the various hot sauces and tried about 6-8 of them. I loved that they had to go containers for the hot sauces of your choosing. I also had an order of Hi-C fruit punch and strawberry lemonade! They were both watery with not much syrup... boo! Great service and really great Tex mex food. It's hard to find a good tex mex place in FL but this FL based chain hits the spot. With a Hot sauce bar included, you're in for a good experience. After waiting for an hour, Zi went to the side food to get close to the takeout counter. I ask god my order, the girl went to check inside and could not located my order; we have over 100 orders. You can go to your car and we will bring you the food. How much time? I do not know. I wait couple more minutes and nothing. We can cancel your order and you will get the money in 48 hours. So disgusted with all the grease it was not edible at all. Chicken flautas were minus the chicken you can see in pic only one has chicken in it. And the chimichanga had no queso or sour cream And very little beef. But thankfully it was very little because the ground beef was comparing to a can food like dinty Moore or something. Taco Bell would have been better at this point and they are gross as well. Zero is not a option. However my good people, the food that was ordered taste like a 1 star Taco Bell, mixed with butt cheeks. Any established I go into I am paying for services rendered. How are they not embarrassed about they food they sent out, I am embarrassed for them. I should have made whoever made it stand in front of me and eat it. If anytime you think your food quality that you placed at our table is acceptable than it's no wonder why it's taste like sh**. The beef bowl taste like wet mush with zero consistency, and the nacho was supposed to be a steak nacho but literally almost no steak, but instead it had a whole bag of iceberg lettuce. Came in with a friend for a late lunch and ordered the steak bowl. Once it arrived I counted four pieces of small steak so when I asked the girl what was up she suggested I order extra next time. Now I understand restaurants are having a difficult time but they are raising prices so why cheat us on the meat? Stopped by Tijuana Flats on the way home. I love the vibe inside...it's a new TF than the one I normally go to in Land O Lakes. Service was fast and staff was friendly and checking up on you for refills and to make sure everything was ok! I ordered Corn Taco Bowl with chicken. It was good! I love the combination of corn, avocado, chicken (Would've preferred shredded though), black beans, lettuce and tiny chips. My hubby got the shredded burrito. They forgot to put the Chipotle sauce in his burrito :(. But he ate it anyways....that would've been a bonus. I was a little disappointed in the chips. Even though I didn't have room for them and they came with my meal, they were a little stale tasting, which was really surprising. Maybe we just got the bottom. My son and I went to Tijuana flats on Tuesday 3rd October 2023. We went in ordered our food super simple two meals one each. Our receipt said we were served at 6:50pm we sat down since we were eating in the restaurant and not getting takeout. This was our first time eating here we sat and sat and sat waiting patiently for our food. We ended up at 8pm! Yes 1 hour 10 mins waiting for our food. I decided to go find out why we hadn't received our food yet. There excuse was we are busy. Well excuse me the restaurant was half empty. I thought ok I will sit for another 5 mins and went back up since we still did not receive our food. I then went to the cashier and asked for a refund and told him that I will never eat here again. Stopped by this location since it was new. I've eaten at various Tijuana flats and the service of this surpassed them all. The moment I stepped in the door, the manager greeted me and my order was promptly taken. Since they were a bit slow, the cashier personally brought me my food and even though I sat secluded at the outdoor tables, someone of the staff made sure to come outside to see if I needed anything more than once. Tijuana Flats is a great spot for Mexican food similar to Moe's, Chipotle and Qdoba. The restaurant was clean when I went, and the manager was super friendly. What was interesting was that you would sit down with a menu and then get up to give your order. The waiter/waitress would bring your food once your name is called and they would also take your plates and cups from you once you were done. The variety of food options and hot sauce is what makes Flats distinct from other similar places. The only thing I wished they had was salsa... it was weird eating my chips with hot sauce. It's hot sauce heaven!!! I ordered a chicken salad - it was OK. The veggies and salad were great. The dressing delicious. The chicken not so much. The chicken tasted old, was rubbery and not good.
