I absolutely love The Green Lemon and make it a point to stop here every single time I'm in Tampa for work. I usually stay at the Epicurean Hotel down the street, and honestly, after check-in this is my first destination before I do anything else. This visit reminded me exactly why. I started with the chips and 3 dips, which are always a solid choice and perfect for sharing (or not sharing... no judgment). Paired that with one of their happy hour margaritas and then ordered three tacos to round things out. Every single item hit. Fresh flavors, great portions, and one of those meals where you're already thinking about coming back before you finish. The atmosphere is fun and lively without being over the top, and the consistency is what keeps me coming back. Some places are great once and disappoint later, but Green Lemon never seems to miss. One of my favorite taco spots in Tampa! They have a pretty good happy hour 3-7 pm everyday with drinks and food specials. Red sangria was light, not too sweet while still being fruity. We always start with the trio, the queso is my favorite out of the three. The fajita bowl was great with big pieces of chicken and veggies on the avocado rice. Also can't go wrong with the tacos, the Boss Hog is my favorite. Plantains are made maduro style, fried and sweet. Service was good, our server made sure we had everything we needed. If you like Mexican American food, then you'll probably enjoy Green Lemon. It's got a really fun & hip environment that's super colorful and fun. Most of the food wasn't outstanding, just okay. But it depends what you get. My steak burrito was actually quite good, the steak was tender and seasoned well. But other things like the buffalo chicken and rice kind of lack more dimension in the flavor. But again, if you enjoy Mexican you'll like this place. They have a big sampler you can get that's guacamole, salsa and queso with chips which is perfect to share with a group. We also tried the churro cheesecake, which the server raved about but that was probably the worst thing we had. It just tasted really bland, the berry sauce was the only thing that gave it a taste. Absolutely one of my favorite restaurants in Tampa and possibly the world. Everything on the menu is great, but I usually stick to the tacos. The parking can get a little rough on Tuesdays, but other than that you can find parking in any of the surrounding lots. They always have high energy waitresses and the vibes with good music. If ever there is a wait you can always go the open seating area and order from the bar. They have the best tacos and queso dip in the world (trust me I know because I travel the world). One of my favorite spots in Tampa!! Green lemon is always a hit. They have a decent parking lot as well as other nearby lots and street parking. My most recent visit was with some family coming in town. I also had the seared tuna taco, the shrimp, taco, and the veggie taco! I got all mine on flour tortilla, and it was bomb! I ordered the chicken & brussels bowl with half spinach + half cilantro avocado rice for my base and the lime vinaigrette as my sauce on the side (s/o: Sky, who recommended this bowl to me and is the mastermind behind these perfect customizations). Truly a 10/10 meal, all of the flavors blended so well together! I think my favorite part about this dish was the crispy brussel sprouts, but I also enjoyed the grilled chicken, carrots, grilled onion, and bacon bits that came in the bowl. I have been to Green Lemon maybe 30 times in the 2.5 years I've lived in Tampa. It is the perfect spot for date nights, first dates, girls nights, business meetings, family dinner, reunions, anything. I love sitting at the bar but it's also such a fun frenzied vibe sitting at a table in the thick of the restaurant. Their fiesta hour is everyday 3-7 pm and it's such a good deal. $8 locos nachos, $8 crispy trees, $8-12 drinks, 3 for $11 tacos... can't miss. The 24 oz margs are suchhhhh good value it's insane. I prefer the frozen just for the taste and texture but my friends also like just on the rocks. I typically always get the burrito bowls but this time we tried to many tacos - Shia la beef, boss hogg, gigante, Santa Monica, pescado, KFT - all on flour tortillas. All were AMAZING. We were so full and the total was maybe like $20 each max for apps, entrees, and drinks.... What a deal. I go at regular times as well and everything is priced super fairly in general but who doesn't love a good deal especially during the daytime! I also LOVE the staff.
