Expensive and a mixed bag. Had the cilantro rice was not good We had lunch here and the bill was under $50 Got a check for $160 and waitress had a hard time figuring it out! Charged our credit card and now we have a dispute... Will not be back read more

I absolutely love The Green Lemon and make it a point to stop here every single time I'm in Tampa for work. I usually stay at the Epicurean Hotel down the street, and honestly, after check-in this is my first destination before I do anything else. This visit reminded me exactly why. I started with the chips and 3 dips, which are always a solid choice and perfect for sharing (or not sharing... no judgment). Paired that with one of their happy hour margaritas and then ordered three tacos to round things out. Every single item hit. Fresh flavors, great portions, and one of those meals where you're already thinking about coming back before you finish. The atmosphere is fun and lively without being over the top, and the consistency is what keeps me coming back. Some places are great once and disappoint later, but Green Lemon never seems to miss. If I'm in Tampa, I'm stopping here. It never fails. read more

One of my favorite taco spots in Tampa! They have a pretty good happy hour 3-7 pm everyday with drinks and food specials. Red sangria was light, not too sweet while still being fruity. We always start with the trio, the queso is my favorite out of the three. The fajita bowl was great with big pieces of chicken and veggies on the avocado rice. Also can't go wrong with the tacos, the Boss Hog is my favorite. Plantains are made maduro style, fried and sweet. Service was good, our server made sure we had everything we needed. Ambiance is casual and it can get loud when it's busy, which it almost always is. Definitely worth a try if you like Tex-Mex or a fun happy hour! read more

If you like Mexican American food, then you'll probably enjoy Green Lemon. It's got a really fun & hip environment that's super colorful and fun. Most of the food wasn't outstanding, just okay. But it depends what you get. My steak burrito was actually quite good, the steak was tender and seasoned well. But other things like the buffalo chicken and rice kind of lack more dimension in the flavor. But again, if you enjoy Mexican you'll like this place. They have a big sampler you can get that's guacamole, salsa and queso with chips which is perfect to share with a group. We also tried the churro cheesecake, which the server raved about but that was probably the worst thing we had. It just tasted really bland, the berry sauce was the only thing that gave it a taste. It was weird. Green Lemon also has lots of fun margaritas and other drinks if you're into that. Located in the South Howard part of Tampa it's a nice walking area during the day. read more

I stopped in for dinner on a Friday evening and, even though it was pretty busy, we were seated quickly which was a great start to the night. Our service was attentive, friendly, and efficient throughout the meal. I ordered the trio dip to start, along with a few tacos and the crispy trees. The trio dip was a standout -- the salsa had a rich, smoky flavor with just the right amount of kick, and the queso was creamy, warm, and incredibly satisfying. Unfortunately, the crispy trees never made it to the table, which was a little disappointing. However, my tacos more than made up for it. They were flavorful and packed with bold, balanced flavors. Overall, it was a really enjoyable dinner experience. I also heard that they sometimes have a DJ on certain nights, which sounds like such a fun vibe. I'm definitely looking forward to coming back to experience that next time. read more

Parking limited but spots around the area to pay for. Service is okay, Fiancé forgot his wallet and unfortunately couldn't get a drink. Understandable but I think she expected us to leave seeming surprised by us still willing to order. Once food was dropped off we didn't see her again for a while even after we were done eating. To the actual food- they get you on the trio but it isn't bad for what it is. The cheese of course is great but the guacamole is wonderful. The salsa was eh upfront burn but no flavor. I ordered the chicken Caesar wrap that was phenomenal and one of the best I've ever had. He ordered rice and beans which was good and chorizo and steak tacos which were good. They all kinda have a similar flavor or dusting on them. Likely a one and done. read more

Green Lemon is always an amazing time. The place is lively, buzzing with energy, and packed with people who clearly know where the good food is. The margaritas were incredibly tempting, but I had a lot to get done--otherwise I would've absolutely given in. I've been here before, and every single taco is off the charts. Consistent, flavorful, and just ridiculously good. This is one of those spots you find yourself coming back to without hesitation. Already looking forward to my next visit. read more

Absolutely one of my favorite restaurants in Tampa and possibly the world. Everything on the menu is great, but I usually stick to the tacos. The parking can get a little rough on Tuesdays, but other than that you can find parking in any of the surrounding lots. They always have high energy waitresses and the vibes with good music. If ever there is a wait you can always go the open seating area and order from the bar. They have the best tacos and queso dip in the world (trust me I know because I travel the world). The drinks and I mean all of them from the margaritas to the sangria is strong and good. They also have happy hour everyday from 3pm-7pm. I am always looking forward to my next visit. read more

So we went back! And I'm happy we did, I just love this spot I would go every Monday just for their 5$ margs. The food was so good tonight, a lot of flavor and good portions. The price is always decent and the vibes are great, awesome music taste and live games on tv. Our waiter came back frequently and checked on us. All around I'm glad I came back! 5/5 read more

Today, I found myself in Tampa Bay. The warm weather was a nice break from the cooling north. My hotel recommended Green Lemon for lunch. So glad I did! Upon entering, I noticed simple, but pleasant inside dining. I was immediately sat and brought a drink. The server recommended a few different bowls or a street taco trio (you pick any combo of 3 tacos and a side for only $13.50). I went with the shrimp taco, Shia Beef, and the Ancho (grilled chicken)... all with soft corn tortillas. Granted I ordered them with no cheese, so you will have to make that judgement.... But all 3 were absolutely delicious. The meats were not overcooked and had plenty of flavor! None of the meat was overcooked or dried out either! I definitely recommend stopping into Green Lemon for some great Hispanic food and street tacos!!!! read more

Green Lemon keeps getting better! They recently renovated and the new look really upgraded the vibe -- it feels more modern, fresh, and welcoming while still keeping that fun energy the place is known for. I ordered the fajita bowl with Mexican rice and it was absolutely delicious. The flavors were on point, everything tasted fresh, and the portion size was generous enough that I had leftovers to take home (which I always appreciate). The atmosphere here is always lively and fun, making it a great spot whether you're grabbing a casual meal or meeting up with friends. Consistently good food, big portions, and a great experience every time we visit. Definitely a go-to spot! read more

I've always loved GL, the food is delicious and we generally have great service! We came on a busy Friday so it was a little slower service than usual but enjoyed the dip trio, a quesadilla, and a few tacos, and of course margaritas! I visited Green Lemon on a Saturday at 11:00 just when they opened. We were a group of 6 and got a table immediately. The service was so good! They quickly got our drink and appetizer orders. One of the girls did not like cilantro and it came on her dish so they quickly brought her a new one without cilantro. In the end, they ended up not charging over the dish because the second one also had cilantro. I am not a cilantro hater, but I know other people are! This was exactly what we wanted and everything was great! I ordered the Birria and it was fantastic! read more

A nice option in south Tampa area for good Mexican food. The loco nachos were really good, so I highly recommend getting that as a starter if you're with a group of people. The staff were all friendly and helpful making recommendations. And the special, choice of 3 tacos, isn't a bad deal. Only thing that was a bit off putting was that when we paid with the waiter, the only option that seemed to work on the waiter's iPad for tip was the 25% option (if I remember correctly). Not the 18, 20, or the option %. I was tapping all of the first three options and none of them worked until I pressed the last option. hope it was just a malfunction. Other than that, a nice spot to go with friends. read more

One of my favorite spots in Tampa!! Green lemon is always a hit. They have a decent parking lot as well as other nearby lots and street parking. My most recent visit was with some family coming in town. We were seated almost immediately and our server was really great with answering my family's questions about the menu and making sure it was accommodating of their dietary restrictions. The only reason I am giving this place four stars and not five is because the women's bathroom has one stall! This is insane lol. We went on a Saturday night and waited about 15 minutes which was not bad because they were very crowded! Once we were seated, the waiter was awesome! As soon as you actually walk into the restaurant, it's a whole vibe! They have an actual DJ, so the music was great, definitely a vibe with all of the everyday decorations, and just the everyday people there! The food was so good! You have to try the fried trees I think is the name of it lol it's the fried broccoli and cauliflower that is dipped in buffalo sauce, so good! I also had the seared tuna taco, the shrimp, taco, and the veggie taco! I got all mine on flour tortilla, and it was bomb! If you're ordering the steak taco, make sure you let them know how you want it cooked because they will cook it with a lot of pink in it if you don't specify otherwise lol the drinks were great! I ended up getting a regular margarita because I did not need the large one. They have a small parking lot on the side that is available, but there are not a whole lot of parking spots however there is a parking lot across the street that you are able to pay & park. read more

This was my first time trying Green Lemon and I really enjoyed it! I ordered the chicken & brussels bowl with half spinach + half cilantro avocado rice for my base and the lime vinaigrette as my sauce on the side (s/o: Sky, who recommended this bowl to me and is the mastermind behind these perfect customizations). Truly a 10/10 meal, all of the flavors blended so well together! I think my favorite part about this dish was the crispy brussel sprouts, but I also enjoyed the grilled chicken, carrots, grilled onion, and bacon bits that came in the bowl. Staff was amazing and the restaurant has such a chill vibe. I will definitely be returning to Green Lemon again for another yummy bite to eat. read more

Solid 4.2 8.2 out if 10 I got the habanero beef burrito it was fire the meat was seasoned well and whatever sauces they were using added to it... the beef not downside was the ratio was a little off all the avocado and meat was at the bottom and for a while I thought it was the old rice trick where you get 60%rice instead of the fillings you ordered. But ehh it happens with burritos overall still a great experience The vibe was loud, definitely college-y, and that was confirmed by the size of the margaritas and loud pop music playing. They nice amount of TVs and maybe an entirely female college age serving staff. It give a gimmicky vibe but Ayy if it works, it works, but the flavors were delivered. Would definitely grab another burrito. And the tacos were tasty as well. Burrito was a decent size we Also got the elite esquires for a side definitely recommend that. Okey-dokey. Frict read more

Lived in this neighborhood 35 years old. To say that it's a 400% transformation is an understatement. SoHo is an exciting place to be, and Green Lemon is terrific. I have been to Green Lemon maybe 30 times in the 2.5 years I've lived in Tampa. It is the perfect spot for date nights, first dates, girls nights, business meetings, family dinner, reunions, anything. I love sitting at the bar but it's also such a fun frenzied vibe sitting at a table in the thick of the restaurant. Their fiesta hour is everyday 3-7 pm and it's such a good deal. $8 locos nachos, $8 crispy trees, $8-12 drinks, 3 for $11 tacos... can't miss. The 24 oz margs are suchhhhh good value it's insane. I prefer the frozen just for the taste and texture but my friends also like just on the rocks. I typically always get the burrito bowls but this time we tried to many tacos - Shia la beef, boss hogg, gigante, Santa Monica, pescado, KFT - all on flour tortillas. All were AMAZING. We were so full and the total was maybe like $20 each max for apps, entrees, and drinks.... What a deal. I go at regular times as well and everything is priced super fairly in general but who doesn't love a good deal especially during the daytime! I also LOVE the staff. My servers (we had Sam yesterday and she was amazinggg) are always spot on and everyone is just very helpful and efficient. Never ate here before. Came in with family. The wait was an hour when we arrived but we just thought we'd kill time by walking the strip. Got a text within 15 minutes that our table was ready. COOL!! Seated after checking in. The music was so loud that we couldn't even hear each other talk at the table. So we basically sat in silence. We ordered the trio with chips, salad, queso and guacamole. The chips were really good, they have some seasonings on them so even without the dips they are good. The salsa was the only one my SIL and I didn't like, it tasted like chemicals. For my drink, I ordered the sangria margarita combo and frozen. It was good. For food I got the fajitas bowl which was very good. It's a lot of food so got a good portion of it to go. read more
