Wandered in here on a Saturday afternoon in the mood for good BBQ, not knowing it was a Michelin rated restaurant. I can see why ...the Brisket shop offers melt in your mouth, tender juicy brisket that runs out fast so you better get there early! We got there about 2pm and stood in a long line before we heard those dreadful words, "86 Brisket!" Darn! We opted for the ribs, turkey and sausage instead. Everything was excellent, including my favorite, the navy beans with ham hocks and the "bon bons", a sweet roll with meat inside. All of the employees were so friendly and helpful, especially Danny the owner. He stopped by each table to check in with everyone and we even got a little tour of the smokers and :Grill and Provisions" next door where he sells outdoor kitchen supplies. We even somehow miraculously (wink wink) got to sample the scrumptious brisket despite being informed that it was "86ed". And yes, it is the best brisket I've ever tasted! The staff are very friendly and the service is very fast. Most importantly the bbq is good. I had their waygu brisket, turkey, tallow fries, cole slaw and bon bons. The turkey is probably the best I've had. Maybe ever. Juicy, seasoned, could have been a giant chicken lol. The brisket was good as well. I went for half moist half lean. It turned out moist and more moist. Next time I'll go lean since its a particularly juicy brisket. The cole slaw was a fresh and crunchy touch of brightness on my heavy plate. The tallow fries had potential but I wish they were crunchier. The bon bons were good (first time having them) but after I ate everything else it was bit rich. Been wanting to try this Michelin Star rated place for a while. Saturdays are busy. We waited on a line, for about 30 min, they supply bottled water and handed out TASTY BBQ Beef Cheek Samples. While we waited for our food, we got a taste of a very TASTY Seasoned Rib that was being passed out. Multiple different rooms indoors and outdoors to eat as well as drink. Cool place. The Brisket Shoppe was on today's agenda after I saw they were serving Wagyu Dino Beef Ribs and Beef Cheeks as their specials. That was all the excuse I needed to make the drive. I've only had beef cheeks one other time, at LeRoy and Lewis in Austin, but I have to give Danny's the edge. They were unbelievably tender, literally melt in your mouth, with incredible flavor. The Wagyu Dino Rib was every bit as impressive. It was absolutely massive with a beautiful bark, the perfect amount of smoke, and so tender it practically fell apart. Of course I couldn't leave without some brisket, and it was just as outstanding as always. I had the chance to chat with Danny, and he and his team are some of the nicest people you'll meet. Their passion for great barbecue is obvious in everything they do. The Brisket Shoppe consistently serves some of the best BBQ I've had anywhere and, in my opinion, it's the best you'll find outside of Texas. Quality meat, cooked low and slow with skill, pride, and passion. It doesn't get much better than that. If you haven't been yet, do yourself a favor and stop by. Pro tip: Order online ahead of time. Stopped by this spot on a recent trip to Tampa. I love brisket and had to give this Michelin recommended place a try. Luckily, I came when there weren't long lines, which they are known for. The brisket was well seasoned and tender. The mac and cheese was creamy and delicious. I tried the brisket dirty rice which had a kick to it and was tasty as well. On to the greens, they were tender but was too vinegary for my taste. The sweet tea was refreshing, but in order to get, you had to walk to the back patio to fill. As a solo diner here, this in combination of the multiple room setup for dining and no table service made it difficult to juggle it all. This spot have been saved on my places to visit for awhile. I finally got to stop in and it did not disappoint. You self order from a computer, very easy. And then receive a text when your order is ready when dining in. I got the 1 meat and 2 sides and it was fantastic. I opted for the pulled pork, loaded potato salad and macaroni and cheese. The pork was flavorful and tender. It was topped with chicharrones. The Mac and cheese was so flavorful, a bit runnier than I like, but delicious. I ordered the ribs, with cilantro lime coleslaw and baked beans. My order was ready shortly. Once I found a seat. They have ample seating outside and inside. After attending a Yelp Elite event at the Brisket Shoppe, I could not get the 'Bon Bons' out of my head. I raved and ranted about how amazing the food tasted. Ten mins later and there's 4 of my coworkers headed to your Shoppe! This place hit it out of the park. We arrive 15 min before opening and were in a line of about 50 ish people. They did have a cute juice van out front so we were hydrated. Got inside and placed our order. Beef rib special and the holy trinity with all the good stuff and 3 sides. (They were already out of some). And brisket bon bons omg you need these. Mac and cheese and brisket dirty rice and fries. Mac out of this world smoked and so cheesy and the rice was so good. All the meat super tender and brisket so fatty in best way. Brisket was good but not life changing. I found street parking down the street as the lot was full. I ordered online which is definitely good to bypass the line, and the food was ready quicker than I expected. Also got a sweet tea, which I had to make sure to ask for the cup since it wasn't with my pickup order. They give you a red cup and you just fill it up yourself out back, as a first timer, it was a little confusing and hard to find. No one was outside on the back porch because it was a hot summer day but the cooler of tea was out there. Where to start... this place is Michelin star rated for a reason. I've known about the Brisket Shoppe since their original south Tampa days but this was my first visit to their new location and it was just as good as I remember. The best thing I ate today was the brisket Bon Bons but everything was delicious. Banana pudding is a must try, even if you think you don't like bananas (trust me). Full disclosure: this place is busy. We waited in line outside for about 30 minutes to get inside to order. There are some tents and fans, as well as free bottled water available while you wait which helps make it a little more bearable. But I would do it all over again, that's how great this place is. Once you order there are a lot of seating options including an outside patio, indoor AC, and a bar with some nice AC circulation. Lastly, we arrived around 1 pm (they close at 4) and they were out of a few different menu options so I would recommend getting there earlier if you want your best shot at everything. His take on bbq is so unique because he offers other specials on the menu but you have to be on the look out for them. Pictured is a special...the oxtail. Look at the size!!!?! Juicy and tender but not offered often. If you get any of their classic plates, it's also delicious and flavorful. Absolutely incredible experience at The Brisket Shoppe in Tampa! From the moment we walked in, everything about this place impressed us, especially the food. I ordered the 2 meats, 2 sides plate and went with the Turkey and Wagyu Beef Brisket. Both were phenomenal. The brisket was melt-in-your-mouth tender with that perfect char, and the turkey was juicy and full of flavor. For sides, I got the Mac n' Cheese and fries, and both were delicious. I could honestly eat the fries by themselves because of how salty and flavorful they were. They also surprised us with pickles, pickled onions, and a sweet meat roll, which were the perfect extras to round out the plate. And can we talk about the sauces? Incredible. You can tell everything is fresh and made with care, and you can really taste the difference. To top it off, we had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who was beyond wonderful. He even gave us a tour of the place, which made the experience feel that much more personal and special. It's clear how much passion goes into everything they do here. While on the hunt for a gala dress, I found this place on yelp. It's absolutely FIRE!!! The brisket is better than any Texas or North Carolina brisket. The sides are ELITE. Coleslaw is cilantro and lime and my favorite! They have tallow french fries which are flavor filled and they make their own ketchup. If all they sold was their banana pudding, that would keep me coming back! No banana pudding can compare! Everything is made in house! The jalapeno sausage is juicy and filled with flavor! So happy to patronize restaurants that value quality food and preparation; (no microwaves or freezers makes me already like you!) Beef brisket and pulled pork were both tender and delicious. I was particularly impressed that the pork was moist and had such great flavor from the mojo brine. I would get both of those meats again. Took me long enough to go here. You've got to make sure you try it when they have the steak frites. Steak is cooked perfectly, everything has the perfect amount of salt and fat. The beef tallow fries are succulent as can be. The ribs were ok, a bit dry and tough but the Mac n cheese is another fantastic side option, along the the brisket roll. The beans are a pass though. We've been a few more times sense and always default to the steak frites. The ambience is great and feels so local, you're nearly in someone's back yard. The owner will come around out of the pit and pass around little tasters like wings sometimes. Expect a wait on Saturday's and prime lunch hours. Also use a debit instead of a credit card to save a couple cents with the credit card fee. I visited the brisket shop on a Saturday around noon. There was a line out the door. It took a while to get through the line and order our food but once we did, we were all very happy! This place is amazing. They sell bottles of wine that you can take with you or open there there's no cork fee and they are really good wines that they don't mark up ridiculously from grocery store prices. Looking for a spot for lunch and found this one on Yelp. Decided to give it a try based on fellow Yelp Reviews. Boy, were we happy about this choice. LOVED IT! There is a parking lot to the left side that can fit about 30 cars. There are also parking stalls in the front and to the right side surrounding the restaurant itself and surrounding street parking available. There was a line of about 12 people under the tent in front of us. We waited for about 20 minutes before we got in which wasn't bad at all. During this time, they offer coolers of beer where you can have one while you wait or just look at the menu so you know what to order. An older gentleman came out to let us in when it was our turn to enter. When you walk in, you wait for just a little longer as there are 2 stations for ordering. It is pretty self explanatory and guides you. They also have instructions posted so that you know what to do. We were a little bummed that they didn't have any chicken as it was on the physical menu, but it was okay. We wanted to try the ribs and brisket. Once you pay at the station, they will text or email you your order number depending on how you prefer to be notified. When your food is ready, they call your number and you grab your trays and head to the left side and/or back of restaurant where they have ample seating inside or out. It is a seat yourself type of place and they also have a fire pit in one area where you can sit surrounding it. We ordered: A two meat and two side combo 2x (comes with a Brisket bon bon (yummy) and some pickled onions and pickles (yummy additionif you like pickled foods) 1) Brisket and Ribs with Everything Baked Potato Salad & Baked Beans 2) Brisket and Ribs with Lemon Cilatro Cole Slaw & Baked Beans 3) Order of their Chili OMG, EVERYTHING was sooooo delicious. The meats were so tender and juicy. The meat of the ribs fell right off the bone. All of the sides were tasty and just as described on the menu. The chili was also very good and came with some sour cream and frito chips on the side. We loved everything! The food was a lot and we probably could have shared a combo. We couldn't finish it and loved that they had take out containers and utensils on the side for us to bring the food home with us. When you are done, you leave your trays on your table and someone comes around to pick it up. The owner Danny was walking around checking on everyone. He was super cool and friendly and was very welcoming. We spoke to him for a bit and loved that the he came out to interact with his customers. They also have alcohol (beers and wine to have with your meal) and a wine room which is awesome! They have such great BBQ here and we were so glad that we chose them after finding them on Yelp. If you have never been, you really need to check them out. We will most definitely return when we are back in town and hope that many also try them out or return. They will not disappoint! read more

The food was the BEST barbecue I have ever had! Brisket was so tender I couldn't even pick it up, Bon Bons were my favorite surprise. I thought it was just yummy bread until I bit into it to reveal delicious meat inside! The Mac and cheese and plantains were amazing. The service was a 10/10 and was so kind!
