We chose Roasted Fig for my daughters Baby Shower after meeting with several other caterers. We found the entire experience from beginning to end to be perfect. It's not an easy task to please 48 women when choosing a menu. I can't begin to tell you the compliments we received, and continue to receive. Mariana and Freddy were so very helpful in choosing a menu, offering their opinion on what would work at this particular event, and just being accessible to us anytime we had a question before the party even happened. The hors d'oeuvres that we had passed by their servers which included a favorite sweet plantain and prosciutto wrapped asparagus and baby lollipop lamb-chops. The buffet was beautifully arranged with plentiful choices. The Roasted Fig salad as well as the couscous and pesto tortellini, were all hits. Was looking for caterers. This business shows a service area in Tampa but all reviews were from Ft Lauderdale (Or other parts of the country), assuming he relocated his business to Tampa bay area, then he should a) claim the business and b) explain. I'm guessing no longer in business?? All reviews are old. Very few reviews and rating makes it compete with other local businesses for my time and investigation. I'm not a caterer trying to hurt another business, just a consumer who is often not thrilled with Yelp's filtering and rating system. So, if this is still a legitimate active business...the single star is for Yelp for their poor criteria, which I will continue to ding them on because they could do SO MUCH BETTER. read more

My husband and I hired Roasted Fig to cater our wedding and we couldn't be happier! From day 1, the level of service and communication we received was excellent. Mariana and Freddie are top notch caterers who consider each and every detail to ensure your event runs smoothly and all guests are happy. Our wedding was very formal, 115 guests and dinner was plated, not buffet. We served Apricot Glazed Chicken and Beef Tenderloin. Both dishes were amazingly good. Typically wedding food isn't great, but our food was so delicious, flavorful and perfectly cooked. Our guests can't stop commenting on how great everything tasted. Chef Freddy did an amazing job cooking for our bachelorette "fiesta themed" dinner on Cinco de Mayo. Not only was the meal amazing, but Chef Freddy was very friendly and did a great job explaining each course and giving us some helpful cooking tips along the way. All of the girls loved this dinner event, as it allowed us to just relax, hang by the pool and chat while he took care of all the grocery shopping, cooking, serving and cleaning. Setting up the personal chef dinner was very easy. The entire team was very friendly and very accommodating to our requests. I would highly recommend hiring Chef Freddy for any dinner event. Chef Freddy and his staff were very professional, arrived on time. They made high end horderves for a cocktail party in my home. They perpared, served, and cleaned up. The food was very good. They offer catering for your office, small or large events, and they cook private meals at your home. They make everything from scratch! We started with the shrimp cocktail paired with a a mango habanero chutney and lamb lollipops for the appetizer course followed by an amazing flame kissed Caesar salad and ending with the grilled marinated skirt steak topped with chimicurri sauce.
