Taco Tuesday treat for hubby and I. Ground beef tacos are good and sauce bar is great to add some extra flavor. Service was good and place nice and clean. read more

I have been visiting this establishment for several years now, and I can confidently say that it is a reliable choice. My son is particularly fond of this place, as he consistently opts for their burritos. Personally, I usually choose their nachos topped with shredded chicken. There is always ample parking available in front of the restaurant, and the staff is exceptionally accommodating and professional. They consistently go above and beyond to ensure that everything is satisfactory for you. I truly have no complaints about this establishment, which is one of the reasons I have frequented it for so many years. This is clearly a Tex-Mex restaurant chain. They also feature a sauce bar, offering a variety of different hot sauces to select from. read more

I love their food and it doesn't smell bad and a good restaurant you teach customer's!!!!!!

Love this place so much! Everything tastes delicious and fresh. The pico is one of the bests I ever had. The place is cool and I love that we have a bunch of sauce options. Staff is very friendly. read more

I only come to Tijuana Flats for a quick snack because the portions are small and aren't as big. For instance, a taco comes with 12 chips (yes, I count them...). The reason that I gave this spot 5 stars is because every time I go it's specifically for a little snack and not an actual full dinner. I like to eat and take my dinner seriously so I don't come here for that and neither should you if you take it serious as I do. Also, if you do the survey on your receipt you can get a FREE taco on your next visit (make sure it's within 7 days!) I also recommend downloading the app and scanning your receipt for points. Every dollar you spend equals 1 point and it's totally worth it! read more

Considering I'm not a burrito gal, I was pleasantly surprised by the Queso Crunch Burrito. I opted for blackened chicken, always a favorite at Tijuana Flats. Thanks to the Yelp Elite event I was able to get out of my norm and try something new. Thanks Tijuana Flats for participating! My 4 star rating vs 5 is solely because of the chips. They always seem to be stale, which is unfortunate because the seasoning is great. read more

THE BEST shrimp burritos with a side of lime rice shrimp bowl!!!! The female staff are very fetching as well...

Usually a spot on place to get something to eat. Guess the hours are wrong. Showed up an hour before closing and there wasn't a soul in sight. read more

Surprisingly I thought I have reviewed this location before. I've eaten here many times. They are always clean, friendly, and food is delicious. Sometimes the staff is too busy and you have to literally flag them down for what you need. I had them close before their posted time once because they said they ran out of food which was very strange to me. The best deal is the Throwback Thursdaze. It is Burrito or Bowl and a drink for $7.99. read more

Stopped going here a while ago as the tacos had very little in them and my steak quesadilla with extra steak had hardly any steak in it. Decided to try again Friday around 430.Wow what a difference. Not sure if it's under new management but the taco was full my extra steak quesadilla was full of steak. A man,not sure if he was the manager, but kept asking everyone if they wanted drink refills made sure takeouts were quick and was just very friendly. Back on our list to visit regularly. Oh and the place was just about full. read more

I have a Tijuana Flats right down the street from me in Brandon. But I only order food from this location. The store is very clean and the people there really care about the food they are putting out. Everything is always fresh. I ordered a taco meal kit last night from their APP. It was packed perfectly and with plenty of food. Delicious! read more

This location in Riverview is open about one year now. The food and service are very good. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. You place your order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. They serve all the Mexican favorites. I had a queso cheese dip with nacho chips. Then I had a steak burrito. There is a sauce bar with many different choices from mild to scalding hot. The place is clean and the servers are super nice. Parking is available right out in front. read more

Food is always high quality. The first thing you will always notice is how inviting the atmosphere is with the workers. Every time I visit, I am always greeted with a smile from whomever worker there is. I love coming here for a meal after the gym and I love the positivity this place gives :) read more

It's always a great time at Tijuana flats. When u walk in you're greeted at the door. The staff is friendly. This place is like a Tex-mex restaurant. I pretty much get blackened chicken everything. You can't go wrong with that. They sell beer & wine as well. They have a happy hour from 4-7p Monday through Friday. There's a host of sauces from you to choose as well for your food. I personally like the Blackened chicken Bowl. It consists of blackened chicken, rice, black beans, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese topped off with guacamole and sour cream. It's a good and flavorful bowl. You won't be disappointed. My husband got the blackened chicken flautas. These are like fried dough filled mini burritos stuffed with meat and cheese topped with lettuce and tomatoes. It comes with like a queso dipping sauce and guacamole. The queso is very very cheesy tasting. Hard to describe but u get the drift. He tore it up. Lol We didn't get it this visit but the deep fried cookie dough filled flautas are delicious! Great price too! Service: the staff is very very friendly. They are always available asking you if u need anything. Bring a jacket bc it can get chilly in there. The place seemed really clean. We'll be back. read more

The customer service is what makes this Tijuana Flats stand out. It happens from the minute you walk in, where you are greeted by someone who gives you the rundown on how their menu works, to the manager coming around near the end of your meal to make sure everything is delicious and going well at your table. Ordering is three steps: 1) Choose your Entree 2) Choose your Meat 3) Choose your Toppings Everything is made to order & nothing is frozen or microwaved. There are "specials". On Tijuana Tuesdaze: 2 Tacos, Chips & a Drink. On Throwback Thursday's: A Burrito, Chips & Drink. Both specials are 5.99. Of course, there are nachos, quesadillas, salads and more to choose from. For my Quesadilla I chose Blackened Chicken, Chips and a Drink for $7.79. I thought the price point was a little high for what you get. You can also add rice & beans to that for more. My chicken was of good quality, but the blackening wasn't that sharp bite of heat I expect and the quesadilla itself had too little chicken. My friend had the Crispy Baja Street Fish Tacos. The fish was not up to high standards. Basically, it wasn't fresh. The manager noticed her plate wasn't touched and was very nice about it. Not only did he offer to comp her meal, when he returned her money, he also brought her a 'gratis' warm Dessert Flautas to take home. You can't get customer service any better than that. I would go back to try other things on the menu. Perhaps the specials are the way to go next time. 76/100 read more

I wouldn't say this is the most authentic Mexican food I have ever had but we had been driving around and just wanted something quickly. Sorry. We visited the new Tijuana Flats in the Apollo Beach area. The chicken quesadilla was unreasonably thin with little taste. The steak tacos had little to no meat in them. I give up on this location! I love Tijuana flats but the place keeps sliding into the abyss. Tonight was the last straw. They forgot a large part of our order and then they blamed it on a broken down printer. When we complained, they asked if I wanted to talk to a manager and told them yes. I guess he or she could care less because they never came to see me. read more

The amount of chicken that was in my son's meal was unimpressing. David did enjoy his meal he just needed more chicken. The nachos were spicy and not that great. Both boys agreed the chip's taste gross. My Burrito was not that flavorful it had a lot of hot sauce in one spot and that was it. I did not care for the hot sauce. This sauce it seemed like it was trying to scorch my tongue but it had no real taste to it. I liked the steak in my Burrito read more

If I could give this establishment more than five stars I would!! The customer service is outstanding!! Better than some fancy high end restaurants I've eaten in. I only wish I knew the name of the lovely young lady who couldn't do enough for us this afternoon! We had never been to this restaurant and we decided to try it for lunch today. It was a late lunch about 3pm so it was pretty quiet in the restaurant, no line out the door. We didn't realize having never been here that it was throwback Thursday where you can get a deal on burritos. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door. The menu was explained to us and we ordered our food. The young lady kept checking on us and constantly made sure our food was delicious and our drinks didn't need re-fills. The restaurant was clean and the staff was very friendly. We ordered the chips & queso to start and we both ordered steak burritos. Everything was delicious. We will be returning! read more

Gave this location another chance recently and the disappointment continues. Ordered a Large Queso and chips for my Fiancee and I to enjoy while our meals were prepared, and we received a Large Queso but barely enough chips to put a dent in it. After finishing the 10 chips between the two of us, I asked the cashier for a refill on the chips. She looked at me like I had three heads and said (apparently in disgust), "no, we don't do refills on chips..." I've been to enough Tijuana Flats to know this isn't the policy, and asked the Manager if the policy had changed. I was informed it had not, and he quickly brought out a proper amount of chips. read more

Tijuanas is a good Tex-Mex spot. I really enjoy eating here. The place is always busy but never a long wait when we go. I always get the smothered beef burrito (wet) in nacho cheese and it comes with nachos... The flavored lemonade is great too! And for dessert you have to get the churros!!!! They come out warm and crunchy and it is so good!!! The staff is always friendly...and when they serve your food they are always checking up on you to see if you need anything They have indoor and outdoor seating. And they have a hot sauce station where u can choose a couple of different hot sauces to pair with your food! Deff recommend this Tex-Mex spot read more

There's never been a time I l've visited this location that they got my order right. I love the food but the staff doesn't pay attention to detail. There's always at least one thing missing or incorrect with my order. It's just too much of a hassle to have to go back to get whatever is missing from my order or get some sort of credit. I appreciate when my family can sit and eat without our order being messed up and that never happens with this location. If the chips aren't stale, my salad dressing is missing or there are no forks with my to go order. Food is great, but I'm over the messed up orders. I've have pretty much decided to start going to a different location although it is further away from my house. I just don't want any more disappointments when we sit to eat as a family. read more

This is how my to go flautas for Mother's Day looked. I'm so disappointed especially because it took so long for them to bring out my order curbside. The lettuce and pick looked like someone ate out of it already. I can't believe this is what I saw when I got home. read more

One of my favorite Tex Mex restaurants! I used to to to the on in Tampa off of Fowler ave every Tuesday for Taco Tuesday. Was super excited to see one so close to home. Easy to get to and plenty of room for seating. The restaurant is clean and staff are all friendly. I usually get the beef burrito and make it wet with queso. Plenty of options from the hot sauce bar. I've had better. OVERPRICED. For what I paid, I should have had at least a mediocre dining experience. Shouting/running kids and obnoxious/rude guests blowing their nose at the table are what I experienced. I expect this at the Walmart fast food eateries, but not here. It was clean but the ambiance was like McDonald's with beer and wine offered (although I didn't see anyone partaking in drinking alcohol because it's like drinking at Chuck E Cheese). The food was just "meh". Too much lettuce in the burrito bowl I had and the burrito my husband had with not enough meat. I'd order the food again, but why would I since Taco Bell is right across the street and tastes 60% better? Also-they don't have the prices conveniently displayed at the order counter. I don't like that. Follow up: Comment below is from Natalie K, Marketing Professional for Tijuana Flats. She has offered to put me in contact with a supervisor, and I have accepted the offer by means of email rather than phone. I am awaiting a response. So far, looks as they care about the matter of the review and that is a good thing! read more
