My husband and I drive up to this area to MTB ride and this spot was somewhere he ate at a loooong time ago, so we decided to try it out together. The food was excellent! Authentic Mexican food. Lots of flavour, good size portions and freshly made juices. We had the chicken burrito, shrimp tacos with corn tortilla shells and chile tatemados. Everything was fresh and didn't take long to come out the kitchen. We washed everything down with a horchata and a freshly squeezed pineapple juice. Both were so good! The size of the drinks are ridiculously huge! 20oz I believe, and well worth the price. Also......free refill with the juice! I actually asked the waitress how much for the to-go juice since we paid already and she said it's free! I don't know of any other place that gives you a free refill of homemade juice. Overall, the place was clean and nicely decorated, and we had a great meal for less than 40 dollars. The waitress was friendly and attentive and I just have to mention that the bathroom was immaculate! The huge TV on the outside patio looks like they have some epic gatherings in the evening And one more thing, they don't serve any kind of alcohol. We will definitely eat here again! read more

First time customer which is hard to believe as I've lived here a long time. There is indoor and outside seating. We chose inside because it's so hot this time of year. Our server was super friendly and quickly got our drink order. The menu has lots and lots of choices. I settled on enchiladas and could have my choice of chicken, pork, beef, cheese or bean. I chose two chicken and two cheese. Food arrived quickly, and actually too quickly. My food was barely warm which was disappointing to me. The cheese wasn't melted and cold cheese isn't as tasty in my opinion. The rice was very good and a bit warmer. read more

Great food, average prices and clean venue. They had a soccer game on a big screen during the entire World cup series. In nice decor it was very nice, especially being in the community without having to drive all the way to Tampa. read more

Stopped here after a short hike and the delicious agua fresca was exactly what I needed! It was so tasty that my kid, who originally didn't want any, got one to-go after trying mine. Excited to go back and try different flavors. We all got tacos, which were also tasty but I wish I'd done something more exciting than picadillo. That's on me, not them, and all the more reason to return! No photo evidence bc we ate immediately. Our server was friendly and everything came out very quickly. read more

What a cute place. Feels like you are in a different country. We visited Costa Rica not long ago and this is what this place reminds me of.

Lots of good reviews figured give it a try. It's a kind of unique layout part interior and outside walk up window. Place was packed lucky to find a table inside. Lots of good authentic offerings and food was good, hot and fresh. Not a 5 star dining experience but true Mexican cuisine. read more

In the small town of Wimauma it was satisfying to find a great flavorful reasonably priced Mexican restaurant. They have seating inside plus seating outside. I have eaten there several times and I am constantly amazed by the consistency of the dishes. This time I ordered the shrimp burrito, which comes with a side salad and fench fries. To say the dish was enormous is not to be believed. Delicious rice, shrimp and other burrito stuffing was incredible. The price cheaper than going with the large meal at a fast food place which offers no satisfaction after its eaten. Believe me I was satisfied. If your looking for a new taste of non Taco Bell type food but healthy fresh food this is your place. I will be back with my fork in hand. read more

I've traveled the world including many visits to the non-tourist parts of Mexico. Other than no licquer license; this small Mexican restaurant was delicious with a cool vibe, plenty of outdoor seating and great service. The homemade guacamole, chips and salsa were great. My Mom has the tacos and I had the 3 meat fajitas. The meat was grilled to perfection and very flavorful with delicious rice, beans, salad and tortillas. Our server was great and the place had a rural Mexican vibe with great music playing. Enjoy. read more

Authentic and delicious Mexican cuisine on the east side of Wimauma, Florida. Great selection of traditional options. The price is fair considering the quantity and quality of food. The restaurant is clean but could use a cleaner restroom with soap and towels or other hand drying. The staff is astute and always ready to help. Highly Recommended! I will continue to eat here. read more

Solid spot. I was going to give a 5 star rating anyway but they do offer a free drink if you to. My party had carnitas, chicharon, asada, and chicken tacos as well as a salad. All were pretty good and the aqua frescas were good as well. The bathrooms are clean and the service is great overall. We will be back. Thanks! read more

The food was AMAZING! Well prepared and presented by our server. She was kind and helpful. The food- empanadas tamales and tacos were delicious and freshly made. A great hidden gem in Wimauma. It's a no frills place that is always busy. We've had the tacos, chimichangas, tostadas and the Guatemalan tamales. This restaurant located in Wimauma. East of the Sun City. We were here for the festival and have the to go lunch from this restaurant. This restaurant is one of the best in Wimauma. We got carne Asada. The carne is sliced steak. Not a big piece of single steak. It is stir fry and accompanied with salad and salad. Taste is good. The second dish is what we want. The whole fish. The dish call Mojarra. It is fried whole fish. The fried whole sheepshead fish. It is tasty too. Overall is a good experience. Great restaurant. read more

What a surprising little spot we found! Was taking mother out for lunch on a Sunday and decided Mexican would fit the Bill. Yelp directed us here and we were not disappointed. The menu had all the staples and then some. Plenty of variety! The prices were definitely right for lunch. Maybe one of the most notable items was the freshly made tortillas. They came out piping hot and you could tell they were made by hand. Between the three of us, we had a burrito, a taco salad and chili Rellenos. All met or exceeded expectations. The serving staff were all attentive and lovely. If you're in the neighborhood, we would definitely recommend this place. read more

Amazing food among all the Mexican food in the area. The Carne Asada was flavorful. Spanish rice was tasty.

Food was so fresh! Our server was great. I love that they make their juices in house - the lemonade was the best I've had in a long time. That it was served in gorgeous, heavy, multi-colored glass tumblers made it even better. Indoor or outdoor dining, or order to go. Plenty of room for a larger group. read more

Today a group of old dudes and I did lunch at El Sol Restaurante. I had the Chili Rellenos. Really tasty. Three chilis filled with cheese and sauce. Also came with rice, beans, tortillas and fixings (lettuce and cheese). The waitress was very friendly and they handled our group of 15 perfectly. read more

Taking the back roads from Lake Placid to Tampa, we ended up driving through Wimauma around lunch time. A quick Yelp search made this place sound appealing, so into the large, dusty parking lot we went. There is seating both inside and out; we went with indoors, and while they did have a wall unit A/C, it was still pretty warm in there. Plus - they seemed to have a fly problem, although the server soon attacked them with a fly swatter. We started with chips and salsa, which were clearly both homemade and delicious. Any time I see a fried whole fish on the menu, I'm in, and this time was no exception. It came out perfectly cooked, crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside, and I could not stop picking at it. It was served with rice, beans, flour tortillas, and a little salad. Great hidden gem in Wimauma, and I would love to return. read more

The carne asada was flavorful and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The corn tortillas were so full of flavor that they are not to be missed. Surprisingly, it also comes with frijoles charros (cowboy beans), which are hard to find at many places. Refried beans are much easier (and cheaper) to make- so seeing frijoles charros instead was welcome and is worth the visit. read more

I am new in town and am blessed to have a vibrant Mexican community near by offering many different food opportunities. I heard about this place and added it to my list. The minute you step into this place you feel like you have been transported to Mexico. Totally local Mexican authentic feel. I order the nachos, tostados, seafood soup, and quesadillas. The bill came to $50 and there was a ton of food. I was really in the mood for good Mexican food and this place hit the spot. I loved my meal. Next time I go back I will dine in.
