So, it's Mother's Day and we decided to drop in here after church. My girlfriend and her daughter were hungry, as was I. They had been here before and said it was very good. Our server was Lisa, she greeted us with a smile and - Happy Mother's Day! She was very nice and attentive. We looked over the menu and ordered our food. One thing we noticed was that items around us, that had come in at same time or even after us. They were getting their food rather quickly. It seemed to take a while for our food to come out. When it did, we were not very impressed. I had half a Belgian waffle, which was lukewarm at best, scrambled eggs and 2 pieces of not very warm bacon. Her daughter had French toast, which may have been the only food cooked right. She had an over medium egg which looked to be good a little longer than that. My girlfriends meal though, well. You can see in the picture attached that this was just utterly a waste. She ordered cheese eggs, and the little piece of cheese they slapped in only covered 1/3 of her eggs and wasn't mixed into the eggs. I guarantee they forgot it was supposed to be cheese eggs and just threw it on last minute. That's exactly what it looked it. Unacceptable!! Her toast, was suppose to be sour dough, they gave her super hard rye toast. When she told lisa about the toast she apologized and went to get the sour dough, only to be told they were out of sour dough. But a minute later another server brought us sourdough and said it was the last of it. Now where did he come up with this toast? Overall, I would bet a ton of money that our food was sitting for a while, before coming to us. Nothing was hot at all. It was not the experience I was hoping for in my first visit!! They were upset too because they had a good first visit here a few weeks ago. I will give this place another shot, but if it's like today, well let's just try it again in the near future and I will let you know how that next visit goes!! read more

This is all about the service not the food Alisa was my server. I placed a carry out order and specifically asked for extra butter and jelly for my toast. So once I got to work I saw that I did not have any utensils, butter, jelly or anything in my bag. When I called and told her what she did wrong, Alisa had an attitude. I should have checked the bag before leaving. She told me to come back and get the utensils. I was not leaving work at that point. I'm from out of state and was looking for a local place to get breakfast. I found this spot on Yelp but the directions had me going to the McDonald's across the street. Luckily, their signage was big enough to spot from the McDonald's parking lot. The menu is full of signature items. It took me a while to settle on something. The menu says they serve all items all day. Finally, I decided to try the breakfast burger. It's like a double hamburger with a mushroom and onion omelet on it, with spinach, bacon, and bacon dressing, all on a brioche bun. I got it with the home fries and it did not disappoint. The staff and clientele were both diverse and everyone was friendly there. They didn't seem all that busy but it did take a while for the food to arrive. However, the food was worth the wait! Our server brewed us a fresh pot of decaf coffee while we looked over the menu. I decided on the grilled chicken wrap and chips. We didn't wait long for our food. My coffee cup, although very cute, was very hard to drink from. The brim is so wide, it's not comfortable. My sandwich looked very nice, but overall it was bland. The red onions overpowered any taste in the avocado or chicken. There wasn't any sauce so the wrap was fairly dry. Service was very good at first, but then became scant. It was an overall nice experience but I did have a few cons -- in my heart they get 4 stars, but reviews are everything so I gave them 5. The decor and ambiance was nice. It reminded me of Steak 'n Shake, meets ihop, meets brunch. It was cute. Not too small, not too big. We were lucky enough to get the private room for a big party. We had a party of 14 -- that's about the biggest party they can hold. No more than that or all the space might be taken up. The Mimosas -- so apparently they're mixing the orange juice with wine and it was very thick and sweet like juice. Nasty. It taste like Minute Maid. Idk if they are trying something new, or just don't know, but they need champagne... brut... in those mimosas. I also didn't care for the home fries (roasted potatoes) or the corn beef hash. I was my wife's plus one at this Elite event. First off thanks to Yelp and Eggs Up Grill for sponsoring the event. Where to start. We were seated and had more than plenty of time to browse the menu and decide. When our waitress showed up we ordered breakfast and drinks. I ordered my fav omelet which is custom made with sausage, spinach and swiss chees with home fries (no hashbrowns) and English Muffin. Wife ordered the Greek omelet with the home fries and biscuit and added a side of hash. My coffee came and was good. Water was not offered. The food showed up minus my muffin. I was told it would be right up. I will list the important points. 1. The food was hot 2. My omelet had no taste with the sausage and cheese tasteless. Maybe one or two leaves of spinch. 3. The home fries and hash were good. 4. I had to ask for more coffee (the decaf was better than the regular), my english muffin and butter for my wife's biscuit. 5. When my muffin showed up it had no toasting. I told the waitress I wanted it toasted. She said it was. I said it wasn't, it was just warm and she took it back. When it showed up again just the edges had any color. Clearly toasted needs to be defined here or they need a new toaster. By the time the muffin crisis was over I had finished my breakfast and got to eat the muffin ala carte. Everyone (staff) were very nice. The place has a few bumps left over from being fairly new. The corn beef hash was good it comes with grits, toast and 2 eggs. The pancakes are not IHOP but they were decent. The coffee is nice and strong if that's how you like it. The only thing, they are so busy that some of your food might arrive cold but they will correct it with no problem. This place stays busy so expect to be here for a while. I was headed to Target, I swear. I had a mission. But how could I ignore the new (to me) buildings on that side (east) of 301? That was easy to do because Eggs Up Grill is in a strip mall-lots of free, easy-peasy parking. Good start. Inside, it's cute-super bright and airy, with lots of sunny yellows, happy blues and clean whites. It's welcoming and energizing. I may have been humming "Good morning, good morning" from "Singing In the Rain" as I chose my own spot. It was about 8:15 on a Tuesday morning-I had lots of choices-and picked a place on the south wall-with one chair and one booth seat. I had a commanding view from there. Not that my eyes strayed for long from the menu. You can have breakfast, brunch or lunch anytime! I was super tempted by the turkey avocado blt, but decided to get my bacon fix in "the classic" breakfast instead. I know, I know-it's standard-but it's a good starting point with someplace new. Two eggs (I chose scrambled) bacon or sausage (), home fries or grits (home fries) and for toast-I went wheat. Everything was cooked well, arrived piping hot, was very tasty and it just felt quality. The portions were just right: you leave feeling full... not full of regret. The server was pleasant and efficient... the place was clean and well cared for. It got crowded as I was leaving. On a Covid note: the staff wasn't masked and there's no outside seating. The menu is large, but not overwhelming. I didn't even know it was on US-301 near Falkenburg until recently. I must have passed by it the last couple of times I was in that area, and I'm not sure how. This stretch of highway has seen many new restaurant additions in the last couple of years. I decided to visit early in the morning on a week day because I heard that it can be packed during peak hours. It was a good decision because I was able to pick a booth versus a table. It wasn't busy at all. The service was great throughout the whole visit. There was a lot of positive energy coming from inscriptions on the walls and cheery egg pictures. The décor is simple but very modern and clean looking. The menu was full of all kinds of interesting items. They have a variety of flavored coffee preparations such as French vanilla cappuccino, caramel cinnamon smile, hazelnut harmony, and a café mocha. The last 3 are made using their dark roast coffee. I chose 2 of the flavored coffees and loved the taste and presentation. I do have to say that the coffee isn't very strong so if you're looking for a caffeine boost then this is not for you. I was going for a creamy and yummy flavor which was delivered as promised. I haven't tried the regular coffee yet and probably won't when I have flavored options like the ones I got on the menu. I think this sets them apart from other breakfast diners nearby that only serve regular coffee. They also have mimosas by the glass or by the carafe. They offer breakfast and lunch options all day, so you can actually order a burger for breakfast. I decided to get the Southern Staples breakfast which was perfect for me. You can't tell by the pictures but it comes with 2 sausage patties. It comes with home fries or grits, but I'm all about the grits. The grits were my favorite part of the meal. It was very creamy to begin with. The added butter and cheese made it excellent. My eggs were cooked perfectly and exactly the way I wanted them. I wasn't in the mood for a runny egg that day so I got them cooked over-hard. I think the only thing I would improve on is the sausage gravy. It wasn't bad, but I've had better. The sauce wasn't as thick as I'm used to, although I did appreciate the big chunks of sausage. Other than that, everything was really good. I'm looking forward to bringing my husband next time. This place is a truly unique find. Excellent food, spectacular service and incredible value for money. It is a small, unassuming restaurant located in what I believe is a strip mall. When you walk inside, though, it is very beautiful. There's nice wall art and the colors and design of the place are very snazzy. The menu itself also has a simple, cool-looking design. They also highlight customer favorites in yellow, making it easier to make a selection. They have a bevy of options in terms of dishes, but at the same time it's not overwhelming. They have exactly enough options to give you good variety without it being too much. The only problem is that everything sounds so delicious that you don't know what to choose!! That's a happy problem to have, though. In terms of parking, again, it's in a strip mall so parking is super easy and there's plenty of it available. You'll have no issues there. In terms of the quality of food, it is absolutely spectacular. I'm from Orlando and I've eaten at several breakfast joints here, and this beats nearly all of them. It is one of the best breakfasts that I've ever had in a restaurant. Hands down!! And in terms of value for money, it punches well above its weight. The food has the taste of a home cooked meal that was made with love and care. Even the presentation of the food shows a certain artistry and attention to detail. I would've paid twice what they charged me for their food without batting an eye because of how good it was! I had a breakfast for two for under $35! I couldn't believe it considering how high quality the meal was! I could scream from the rooftops about how delicious the food was. You have to try this place if for nothing else but the food. The restaurant is also incredibly clean. Absolutely immaculate. The service was one of a kind to me. It's incredibly rare in my experience to find service that is genuinely friendly. Most of the time, it's polite and professional, but here people are friendly and warm to you, and you can tell that it's genuine. They're nice to you, refill your coffee, everything that you'd expect from great service. So hats off to them there. There's only one reason that I'm not giving them five stars: the staff generally doesn't mask up. This is out of step with current CDC guidelines on indoor masking, and I can't give five stars to a restaurant that isn't following those protocols. It's a crying shame, because otherwise this place would get ten stars out of five. It's doing everything else to perfection. That said, there's booth seating available, and if you arrive early you should be able to get a booth that will give you some distance from others. Wear your mask and you should be fine. So, overall it's a phenomenal establishment. If they were masking indoors, it would put it over the top for me. As I mentioned earlier, though, the booth seating does give you a buffer from other customers and should be available if you get there early. Happy Sunday yelpers. Bae has been raving about egg up grill, so we finally made a to go order for me to try it. I wanted to sit and eat but bae wasn't in the best spirits so we did to go. I tried to call the order in but the phone jus rang and rang, which I'm not surprised by since it was quite busy when I pulled up and went inside, we also couldn't place an order online so I really had no choice to go to the location. I didn't mind since it was only 11 min away. The front counter waitress quickly took my order. I got a free drink with check in . The wait for my food was 25 min, which is about what I expected. Such a cute diner in Riverview! We came at prime time on a Saturday morning (~11am) and the wait was 25 mins for 2, which was expected. At exactly 25 minutes we were seated. I've recently went with my family to this restaurant for breakfast and overall, I have to say it is just mediocre. As soon as we walked in, we placed our phone number in, and even though the restaurant was half empty it took us an hour to be seated. When my boyfriend asked for it, the waitress asked if the French vanilla was ok. Umm no. I wanted sugar, I don't like French vanilla creamer. I was already over the coffee and it wasn't like it was that great. Tasted a tad stale. I ordered the southern staples breakfast and it came with biscuits and gravy. I didn't mind that I got the gravy on the side. The gravy tasted like straight flour though. I ate half the biscuit with gravy and instead ended up eating the other half with butter and grape jam. Even Popeyes biscuits are better in comparison to these biscuits and McDonald's even has better biscuits and gravy. I didn't like that I had to ask for a spoon for my grits. Like who eats grits with a fork? After trying the grits I was done. The grits had either rosemary or dill and it completely ruined it for me. For a breakfast called the southern staples, it was anything but southern for this southern girl. It was more of a hipsters take on southern. While this may be ok given the location and ambiance, you just can't serve biscuits and gravy and grits if you're not going to do it right. The only good things about this place were the clean bathrooms and the mimosas. They didn't just have orange juice for them, they also had peach, blueberry and cranberry. Overall, I would not recommend this place unless you're looking for a place that has mediocre food and service. read more
