We came here for brunch/early lunch on a Saturday. The place looked busy (long wait) we almost bailed. But it actually took only 5-10 mins for us to get seated. The Elote Mexican Street Corn Hash looked so yummy in the picture, I had to get it. The dish tasted as good as it looked. My brunch companion ordered the Elevated Egg Sandwich and she liked it a lot. Flavor was good and portion was just enough to fill up. Prices can be high for what you get but if you want high quality food, prepare to pay a bit more. Service was good and staff was friendly. First watch should buy it's employees watches because they have no sense of time. I recommend you never come here on a weekend morning. After having a 4 star experience at First Watch on our first visit, we returned just a little past 11:00 AM on a Sunday. Thinking we had beat the church crowds, we were happy when we walked in and noticed open tables and just a handful of parties ahead of us. Unfortunately, we were then informed there were at least 15 parties ahead of us whom at virtually checked in but were not yet there. We were told the wait would be about 30 minutes. The waiting area was becoming very cramped so we went outside but quickly found the coolest location to be in the mall (it was still 77 degrees). As the kids started to get fussy, I had the brilliant idea to ask for food to go. What should have sped up our trip, did mothe actual wait time for ordering 2 scrambles to go took 30 minutes from the time the waitress took the order back to the kitchen. During this time, we were actually called to sit down (after 45 mins) of waiting due to the number of virtual reservations that got to sneak in ahead of us. The host was nice and continued to apologize and even went back to check my order a few times. However, I was disappointed that First Watch did nothing beyond this. The to go order in front me was offered a free kale juice and all I got was my to go bag, screaming kids and a hungry wife. While the experience was pretty dismal, the food was still good at home. The flavors were 5 stars but the food's cold journey back to the house via styrofoam didn't help. read more

The server was helpful with replacement silverware and water, though. The food made up for everything that came before. I had the cornbread carnitas bowl (summer only), and it was delicious! I especially loved the cornbread - it was sweet, soft, and toasted. The million dollar bacon was also pretty good. We got it after seeing all the reviews. There is a wait list option that I used through Google Maps that was helpful so when we arrived we only had about a 5 minute wait for our table. The were this modern rustic feel to the place that I enjoyed and just felt comfortable. Waiter was great and very attentive. We never found ourselves looking for her. The food was tasty. I'm usually not a Benedict person, but I saw one of the specials was a crab cake benedict and it did not disappoint. Crab cakes were cooked just right and the sriracha sauce was a great compliment. Also, it comes with a salad and a lemon vinaigrette. I'm happy to see healthier side options featured with the main course, but if you want the traditional carbs you can get those as well. I went with a large group and my waiter was nice and service was fast. I ordered French toast with bacon and it was delicious. I ordered a mimosa. You get a small glass of orange juice and a little bottle of champagne and you have to make your own mimosa, which is different. The cashier doesn't close out your tab. The food was decent, but I would say that it is overpriced compared to the value that you can get at other brunch places nearby. One positive food-wise, was the million dollar bacon-- it tasted divine and is a good appetizer while you wait for your entree. I ordered the Veggie Burger and it was not mind-blowing but it was a solid veg burger. On the other hand, my date ordered The Traditional and it was a very disappointing plate: a plain waffle without maple syrup (for some reason), tiny sausage links, and a skimpy portion of scrambled eggs. Our server was sweet, but was inattentive -- we had to ask 3 times until she brought us the requested hot sauce. Came here for some brunch with my roommates after hearing from a friend that it was a must. I joined the waitlist about 20 minutes before we got there and only had to wait about 10 minutes in the restaurant to actually get seated. For future reference, I would definitely join the waitlist in-advance because it was PACKED. But, I did go on a Sunday at around noon and that seems to be their busiest time. I ended up trying something from their Fall menu, the Modern Croque Madame and their seasonal drink, the Pomegranate Pear Punch and wow... everything was so good. The bread on the Modern Croque Madame was perfectly buttered and toasted, the gravy was delicious and the egg was perfectly runny. The beverage was delicious and not too sour which I appreciated. It came with a side of spinach salad, but I would get their breakfast potatoes instead. Those were phenomenal. Overall, I would definitely come back again. Their fall menu features a lot of pumpkin-flavored items and some fun drinks. I would come back and try their seasonal stuff, seems to be really amazing. It was definitely worth the wait. read more

Pancakes are fluffy on the inside and have a crunchy outside which I prefer. They also have sugar free syrup which tastes as great as normal syrup. Their egg Benedict is creamy and tasty. I'm almost afraid to know what my blood sugar levels were after this meal. For a great price, you can definitely leave full and satisfied. There's a large parking lot, but you may have to act like a vulture and roam around a bit during the weekend. We waited 15-20 minutes to be seated, and service was good overall. I'm not a fan of sweet stuff on a savory sandwich so it wasn't to my liking. Husband had the Market Hash and he said it was pretty good. Maybe I just need to stick to breakfast food? We will try it again as I always believe in going a second time unless I feel like I am going to get food poisoning. Ha! Service was so-so. Nothing to write about there. I woke up at 9 a.m. to add my family's name to the waitlist for Mother's Day (we had a party of 7 so I called ahead of time and they hung up on me the first time and didn't answer the second) - either way, it was a 30-45 minute wait (we expected to be seated around 10) so we got here around 9:50 to check in. We were told it would be an additional wait so we waited and the time continued to get pushed back until 10:45! Every time we asked the hostess she said they were "clearing our table" as large parties of 5-7 got seated before us after having arrived after us. I understand they're busy but it's unfortunate my mom had to wait 45 minutes in the hot Texas sun outside because we weren't allowed in the lobby to wait. My brother had a work-shift at 12 so we hardly got any time together - had we known we would have gone elsewhere. The LEAST they could have done was be realistic about wait times or offer reservations to prevent situations like this. read more
