MAKE SURE YOU ASK THE INFORMATION THEY HAVE. Ive used the firestone back home for my car for multiple years now. I drove to the Springfield location to buy 4 new 255/40/19 tires and told them my tire size. I live an hour away from this location and they confirmed they had a sale on my tires going on so I took the chance. When I arrived there they told me they didnt have my tires and they only had 16's which ive never even had on my car before. Thankfully I called around and Smart Buy tires down the road could squeeze me in or I would have been stuck with my child a hour away from home. read more

I scheduled/ reserved a car service the day prior to arrival. The instructions specified to call ahead before arrival so I did the day of. The employee that answered the phone had no idea I had a car service scheduled online. He apparentely found my reservation on the website after I told him I had made one. They stated that this firestone is booked out for 10 days and I can't get in. This was literally the only day I had to get my car serviced for my family to safely drive a long distance in my car to the specialist doctor appointment. So now I'm in a tight spot to find car care because an appointment was not honored by this company. Firestone of Sunshine needs to remove the online scheduling if they are not aware of its existence or just ignore it. It's unprofessional to do this to customers. I have taken my car to them multiple times. I will not be returning and I will discourage others from doing so as well. read more

Today I dropped off my car for a oil change and when I picked it up today, this guy calling himself the manager talked over top of me as I walked into the store and cut me off when I was talking. I asked him for a number to call to complain about him. He gave me a fake number. He even asked me when I was coming back for service. (REALLY!) Here is what Firestone wrote me... I have had multiple good experiences here but today was exceptional. I found a tear in my tire this morning, called, they asked the type of tire to check if they had it in stock which luckily they did and said to bring it down and they would try to take care of it today. When I arrived, Pierce looked at it and said that it was not deep enough to get into the metal of the tire and that it would not need to be replaced at this time and he even was nice enough to go back in the store to get the tread, gauge and come out and check and see how much longer until I needed to replace all of them. I thought this was going above and beyond and I really appreciate his honesty and helpfulness. I appreciate great service, no matter where it comes from, even from a tire place. Nothing more stressful than the trouble a flat tire can bring. Thankfully, the universe has provided agents who specialize in the rubberized mechanics of my woeful sorrows. I dropped my flat tire off on a Thursday afternoon, explaining I could not pick it up until the following Saturday. No problem. The store manager informed me they would be open early Saturday and ready to mount it. Such was the case early Saturday morning. I arrived promptly at 8:00am, with the store having already been open for a full hour. Fresh coffee and a lit television were available. Very clean and plenty of seating. This is a shop, mind you, but the atmosphere seems geared for the customer experience rather that the mechanic's convenience. Again, the store manager greeted me and was welcoming, friendly, and helpful. My flat tire was repaired and mounted, all within ten minutes. I would now have plenty of time to enjoy the rest of my Saturday. I highly recommend Firestone on Sunshine for your tire repair needs. I hope I won't need them any time soon, but if I do, they will be my goto. read more

Colin and his team went above and beyond to help us! Our flat tire light went on shortly after Rolla on our trip home to Oklahoma City from Chicago. We stopped and filled up all the tires. Then 10 min later, the light went on again. Called his store, and Colin said to come right in and he would get us back on the road as quick as he could. We got there, they took our car in pretty quickly, and turned around our car within less than an hour. This was especially impressive because they looked very busy. Colin told us what the problem was and was able to fix everything for us. We really appreciate the great, speedy service and the friendly faces there. Side note: their bathroom smelled amazing. Great experience! I had a nail in my tire that caused a flat. I brought the wheel and tire in to see if it could be repaired. Having discovered a large bolt in my tire after work I went to my regular mechanic who was too busy to help me out. I stopped into the Firestone on Sunshine where my tires came from in the first place and they happily got me right in and fixed the tire for a nominal fee. I always receive stellar service at this Firestone location. Last week I discovered I had a flat tire in the parking lot at work so the new set of tires I was trying to put off was going to come sooner than expected. There are several different tire shops way closer to my work than Firestone and since I was going to have to have my car towed, a friend suggested one that was just half a mile away. I called them and explained my situation. The person who took my call was unfriendly and unhelpful so I said no thanks and went with my first instinct, calling Firestone. I explained my situation to Joe and the first thing he said to me was "No problem, we will take care of you." He was extremely friendly and handled my situation very well, reassuring me that I had nothing else to stress about. All prices and procedures were discussed prior to them being done and all were handled with professionalism and care. read more

Crap service, totally inconvenienced me because their app doesn't work properly, all I need was a quick 5 minute oil change. That's all. I even told them my situation of having to leave in just a few short days with few to no opportunities to get my oil taken care of. There have also been plenty of reviews saying that they took care of their oils change at 5pm which is their apparent closing time. I came in long before that and they still refused service. Rude isn't it? If you can't treat each of your customers equally and kindly then maybe you need to change who is assisting customers. Your job is also a service job, if you can't serve people then maybe you need to change your attitude towards people or find a different job. I do not appreciate this rudeness. Haven't had a problem from any other fire stone before but I don't recommend this crap location and management. And from the looks of what reviews have been posted, they seem to have a fairly kind and respectful crew, but that's just not true because a company's worst bits of a crew brings the whole crew down and that is what makes a bad crew. read more

My vehicle was brought to them in good faith with engine oil that needed to be "changed." It was "changed" in that there was no engine oil present in my vehicle upon return to me, which led to damage of the engine. (Duh.) The experience was *completely* unforgettable for me. read more

This Firestone is a complete ripoff. I went in there because I had a bad grinding noise on my car. I called and told them the issue and had my car towed there. My check engine light was on so I also asked them to see what was going on there. Long story short they sold me on a new battery and gas cap for $300 (overpriced but I really needed my car back) and said that would fix my problems. But then as I was leaving my car was still making grinding noises so they took it back and said I needed all new brakes and rotors that would cost me an additional $600. O and my check engine light was STILL on even though I was told it would eventually go off. I just took my car to Complete Automotive where they told me that the gas cap they gave me was an aftermarket part that didn't fit my car well and that they could order the part from the car manufacturer directly for a good fit plus new brakes and rotors for half the price. Firestone is the type of place that makes you dread having to go have your car serviced. There are a lot of other great local places that do a better job for a fair price. Don't waste your money here like I did. read more

Ended up taking to the manager Jay(I believe). He was able to give me a time frame. I DO NOT recommend this store. I am very thankful for James at this location. I was on my way back to texas from Illinois and knew I wasn't going to make it all the way back on the two front tires I had, so I searched and searched for a shop that was open on Sundays. Luckily found this one! James was very helpful, polite (even though he was very busy!) And didn't try selling me anything I didn't need. I greatly appreciated that, as I wanted in and out as fast as possible. I was in and out of there in about an hour and a half, which I think was pretty good for them having a garage full of cars to work on! Very appreciative of James and Dakota (the one who put those new tires on my car!) and thankful I was able to make it the 5 hours to Springfield going 65mph from IL to MO so my tires wouldn't blown out! read more

Over a weekend, I dropped my old '93 Accord off for an evaluation of the brake system. It was determined the rear cylinders and rear brake shoes should be replaced, as well a brake system flush. I agreed to the repairs even though the estimate seemed high but I double-checked what I had authorized to fix with the guy. I ended up getting charged for a complete car inspection which was unneeded and not asked for, for an additional $22, something he worded as if it were the evaluation of the brake system and not something I would be charged for. I was charged $140 for labor on replacement of shoes and cylinders, a job that is not lengthy or difficult and $30 labor on system flush. We checked on retail costs of the shoes and cylinders and found, after the repair and payment, the cost was triple of retail. Labor was $95 an hour. Total cost: $415 for something I found should have been closer to $200 maximum after checking with other businesses who were closed. When asked again about the reason I paid so much for such a simple repair, he replied "You agreed to it!" I've been taking care of car repairs for many years by myself and never have felt taken advantage of as badly as I have with this shop. Do your homework on parts costs first if you have the chance.
