Had purchase two tires for our camper and requested which ones needed changed and to put one of the used ones on the spare. After about two hours the worker said it was finished. Two mo later, We just checked our camper for an upcoming road trip and realized they put one of the new tires on the spare instead of the camper itself. Called and they said to bring it in. Instead of expediting our situation they put us in a long line of customers again even though they realized this was their mistake. We have now been here an hour and 1/2 and they are saying another 1/2 to 45 min because some people had appointments. Really, we shouldn't have had to check behind their work or have to bring it back to be done right. I'm very disappointed and have lost so much time just sitting here waiting again not to mention lost trust in them. Just be careful and double check their work before leaving is my recommendation. We have used them in the past and didn't think we needed to be their supervisor. Now we know. Our time isn't as important as there time is. read more

I wish I could give this Discount Tire 10 stars! Two days ago I went to Discount Tire so I could get a new tire (I had to put my spare tire on since it popped on the highway). They were the first people I called when I popped my tire - my family uses DT and loves them, so I knew they would treat me right. They did! The guy who answered the phone was very nice, and was even nicer in the shop. When I got to the shop, the worker informed me that they would have to order the specific tire since they didn't have it in store. He said it would be here the next day (which was yesterday). Great! The next day (yesterday), I was informed that my tire had arrived, so I went back in. After waiting my turn for three hours in the lobby, my car was taken back to be fixed. About five minutes later, the worker comes in to let me know that the other shop sent the wrong tire, and I would need to come back the next day (today). A little frustrated (at the one who sent the tire), I left the shop, back on my donut tire. About one minute into driving, I noticed my car jerking and catching on something. It sounded very wrong. I instantly pulled over and was so scared that something was very wrong with my brand new car (2024 Kia Sportage). I have PTSD from a very very recent car accident where a tire shop messed my car up and my brakes locked up on the highway, causing me to crash into an exit sign. That car was totaled, and now I am in a lawsuit with them. That being said, I called Discount Tire immediately after pulling over and explained what was going on and how fearful I was that the shop messed something up. I did not feel comfortable driving my vehicle at all - again, I was scared of crashing again due to vehicle malfunction. The manager of the shop answered the phone and listened to me, and stayed calm and nice even though I know I sounded frustrated and scared. He immediately dropped what he was doing and drove his truck to me. When he got to me, he offered to drive my car around and see if he could figure out what the issue was. I got in the passenger seat and we took a lap around the block. He felt the same jerking I felt, so I know I wasn't going crazy. We get back to the parking lot I was pulled over in and he tells me that he thinks my car is just confused with the donut tire and the issue should be fixed with a new tire. This relieved me a little bit. The manager then said to me "I want to make this right for you, so you tell me what to do, and I will do it." Wow! I threw out some options like a rental car, or someone could take me back to my house - since I didn't want to drive my car at all. He understood that. He declined my offers and told me wanted to take care of me that day, and get me back in my car. This is the part that shocked me in the best way possible. The manager offered, "How about we go back to the shop and I will refund you and give you a set of 4 new tires. I know you don't want to drive your car, so I will drive it back for you and you can drive my truck." WHAT! He let me drive his new, big, awesome pickup truck back to the shop. That is a servants heart. I was so appreciative and took him up on his offer. We drove back to the shop and I had four brand new, better quality tires within an hour. The manager took my car around the block one more time before I got behind the wheel to make sure the issue was solved and the lights on the dash went away. They did! He came back in, gave me a lifetime warranty on my tires, and refunded me for the hassle. Thanks to the manager at Discount Tire, I was on my way with new tires and now my car drive quieter and smoother. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to everyone who helped me. I had a terrible experience across town at 3610 sunshine, so bad I told the guy i'll take my business elsewhere and just drove over to this glenstone location hoping it wouldn't be this town, but just that location (i'm visiting). Zack at this location was so nice and treated me and my dad amazingly without even knowing I had such a bad experience across the town 5 mins earlier. The other tire place made me feel like they called me a liar and was so rude to my father (a veteran mind you) just refusing to touch the tire after he asked him 10 times and is touching it himself. Why even walk out with us? Why say yes you'll come check the tire with him if you plan to just stare at him bending down touching the tire in the heat, save my elderly father all the time an effort and say youll only walk out there with us but your answer won't change and you won't touch the tire so it's no use just accept the new tires new alignment new rotation job recommended. Zack at glenstone walked out and touched the tire without even being asked! Immediately explained the issue and what do you know, it's not the rotation the other guy kept harping even after I told him I rotated them (and he didn't believe me because I get it done at dealership with other routine work) and maybe had the first guy just touched the tires like my dad asked he woulda seen that the issue is consistent with something else (struts). I just buy tires from discount tire for the free plugs, but i'm so blown away with Zack and how much better our experience with him was, i'm debating bringing my tire business to the location yearly (I am visiting for the summer) by timing visits when I need tires. They let us know it would be a 2+ hour wait, and recommended we make an appointment for the following day. So I went to discount tire with my man to get a couple of tires, we did the monthly payment only because we didnt have the money at the time. I went there Sepetember 20, mind you they didn't tell us when the first payment was gonna be but since it was monthly we were expecting it to be October 20. So my man called about the tires and they said it's was due on October 18 and that we were two days late! He got charged a 30$ late fee for being two days late when when they never even told me the first payment date when I got the tires, but I'm obviously gonna assume it's in the next 30 days since it was monthly. This whole thing affected his credit score bad and he has different credits so it brung the other ones down too all because a not trained well employee failed to tell us the first payment date and we are never going back. read more

Springfield customers, if you aren't using Dicount Tire you are doing yourself a disservice!! My husband recommended I come here after I had a tire that kept going low. I walked in to the door being opened for me. I was short on time as I was working but the sweet kid that opened the door me aired up my tire and made me an appointment to come back that afternoon. I showed up an hour before my appt time and they got me right in. I was there less than 15 minutes. The tire ended up having a nail and a piece of metal in it. They fixed the leak and changed out something that was going bad ( I know nothing about tires ) lol, and charged me nothing. I went up to pay and they said " no charge, we don't charge for repairs ". I stood there like a moron for awhile as I couldn't grasp what he was saying. I can't remember the last time I went anywhere that I wasn't charged for something especially when I didn't buy my tires there. Long story short: don't cheat yourself on on great service. I read the prior reviews and decided to come to get my tires. I called and talked to a man about tire choices for my vehicle and made an appointment for 11:30 the following day. I got there early, 11:10 or so. They checked me in and I went next door for a bit of lunch , they were to call me when they were done. I was able to see my car from the restaurant, and it wasn't even taken back to be worked on until 12:00. I did notice the 'now hiring' sign, which always gives me pause, or at the very least a feeling that things could be less than ideal. There were probably 8 people in the waiting area ahead of me, so making my appointment didn't really make a difference than just walking in. Super happy I brought a book to read. No TV, but there was a coffee machine. I waited until after 1 for a call, then returned to the shop waiting for my vehicle. They had one and sometimes two guys working the desk, and several customers waiting the whole time. I finally checked with them on how long it would be and that I'd been waiting 2 hours, and they seemed surprised that nobody had called me (as instructed) when the job was done. Turns out, had I just checked in with them upon my return from lunch, they may have been done and I would have been on my way. They did give me a 'rebate' for my trouble which was appreciated. Appreciate that they offer little lifetime rotation and balance and flat repairs. They do not do alignments; will send you to Christian Brothers for free check and $20 off if needed. read more

I am often quite critical of bad service. In fact, if you read my Yelp restaurant reviews, I may sound like a grumpy old man with Tourettes. However, I cannot say enough good things about the staff at the Discount Tire store. I bought a new set of tires there about 18 months ago because they had the best price and no waiting to install the tires. About a month later, a really sloppy roofing company did a neighbor's house and spilled roofing nails all up and down my street. I had one flat tire after another. . . I think six within a month. The people at Discount Tire were always quick to fix the tire, at no charge, and they seemed glad to see me, even though they must have suspected that I was driving nails into my tires on purpose. I started bringing a dozen donuts with me to share when I came in. I was embarrassed to keep using their free services but they never missed a beat. Then, they send me notices of when I should come by and let them check tire pressure, rotate, or balance my tires. They do all of this for free and seem really happy to do it. I cannot get over how friendly, fast, and professional they are. I'm telling you, if they served steaks and had a wine list, I would be a regular there. I have already received, in value, free services that are worth more than I paid for the tires! Of all of the retail experiences I have in any arena, nothing compares with the good deal, good service, and overall good feeling I get every time I do business with these guys. In fact, I like them so much I just called an unemployed friend and encouraged her to go to work there because, I said, they will teach you how to look sharp, be client centered, and be a real retail professional. Best bad visit I have had. So let me start by saying I stopped in because I got a flat on the tires I bought like the week before. Not the tires fault..bad luck. They were swamped...like 6 sets of tires, some rotations, etc. All the employees were running around like crazy working. Even the manager jumped out and helped...then one the workers got hurt...so that knocked 2 workers out of the mix. It took a long time to get my flat fixed. They also had a family of like 8 traveling across the country that stopped in for some vibration and turns out they had to change tires and they did their best to get them on their way. So it couldn't get much more stressful for them...all the employees worked really hard, kept composure and did the bet they could. I appreciate that. I will return for my tire needs. I specifically called to see how long the wait would be to get tires rotated, and they said not long, I even went into detail about how it took 3 hours the last time I was there to get a flat changed and I didn't have that kind of time to wait today. Well I drive all the way there and sit in my car in their back parking lot for an hour and when someone finally comes to my car they say they wont be able to get my car done for over 2 and a half hours!?!? I told him that was not what I was told over the phone, but they really didn't care. Why didn't the person on the phone offer to schedule me an appointment? Things use to not take this long, only my last two services, they must have changed management. They are always kind and courteous, but they need to be more helpful over the phone. read more

Upon getting an oil change at Walmart, I was informed that my front two tires were not only too big for my vehicle, but were bald because of their incorrect size.
