Went in on Saturday for an inspection and asked if they could also do an oil change. Said yes, estimated a price. Finished with my car & came back to the counter. Said "$12" I looked at him and he then said "oh! $53.." I said - they DID do the oil change, correct? He said YES. then I got in my car after paying and did Not see an oil change sticker. So went back inside and asked again. He said yes and filled out a sticker. I kept thinking he was lying to me. So asked a friend how I make sure they did the oil change. She said check the oil. If dirty/dark colored they did Not. It was dirty! I called them and at first acted denial then called me back and said it was a mis-communication w his tech guys. I said I just want a refund. He said no! They don't do refunds! Said he'd comp the next 2 oil changes (like I'm ever going back there!) it was obvious they took advantage of a female by herself! So I had to wait til Monday to call and speak to a manager. Manager said he'd have to call "higher-ups" to approve a refund!? Wtf. So Monday night he calls & says "ok management approved a refund and you have to come back in the store to get cash". Ridiculous and very unprofessional. And wasted so much of my time!! I truly believe he lied when he knew they did not change my oil. I'll never go back there and I would highly recommend you don't go there!! read more

i wouldn't really recommend this place. i am a younger female and went into this store alone and i definitely feel like they were trying to up sale me on stuff i didnt want and tell me lies that weren't true. they wanted me to pay $100 for an oil change when online is says they have a $30 deal. they tried to convince me that my car doesn't take what i was asking for and i absolutely had to pay the more expensive price. i also had an appointment at 10am and i didnt leave there until 11:45am. i would recommend going to a place like valvoline for cheaper and much quicker services over this place. read more

Quite literally the last place id recommend anyone go. I know plenty about cars and only came here to get an oil change so I didn't have to do it in the rain. They were calling my car a "shitbox" while they were in the garage, I could hear them clearly. I just moved to Springfield for college, and as a transferring freshman from a small school in Kentucky (where it was nearly impossible to find a good paying part time job) I was extremely tight on expenses coming in. Adding rent, a dog, and the new aspect of living on my own, was definitely not the most affordable. To top my rough start off, my car decides to die (in the driveway, thank Jesus) and I realize I'm going to need to get it fixed and then reality hits me that it's probably going to be more than the 300 dollars in my bank account. It was a Saturday and no car place was open, except Midas. I'm picky when it comes to where I take my car; as a female you often get jipped when it comes to prices. So I was hesitant to come here. But sure enough, the fill in manager (can't remember that sweet souls name) answered and said he could get me in that day. I towed my car and they took care of everything from there. Turns out an accident that my car experienced in 2016 caused a dent in my fuel pump, and eventually broke in 4 different places. Apparently it was a miracle it was still running. (Thank you Jesus :) ) but the cost was going to be 900 dollars. Imagine my shock when I heard that number. When I told him I couldn't afford it he offered to keep it there for a few days and told me to call JJ in the morning so he could give me a payment plan. Well, my payment plan was declined. So I thought hope was lost and I would've had to take my car back and wait for my next few paychecks. JJ was extremely understanding and truly tried everything to help me, but it ultimately came down to me pulling a few strings and finally getting the money for it to be fixed. I'm a college student, I need a car to get to school, to work, to the gym, to the barn I ride at. It's hard to rely on people when you've always relied on yourself! The team had it fixed that day and JJ had even filled my tank just enough for me to get to a new gas station to fill it completely, with his own money. The people here at Midas will take care of you, and are extremely understanding. I cant recommend this place enough. They earned a new (hopefully non-frequent) customer! read more

Kudos to this Midas. I'm in from out of town and needed an opinion and possible repair to my Honda Fit. The splash shield was detached and dragging. Eli and the crew quickly determined that a repair of the existing shield would be unreliable and agreed that taking the car home to a Honda dealer with the shield in the trunk was the best solution - No Charge! I'll be letting my Springfield friends know about them! read more

I go to Midas for my oil changes (I love to use the coupons). They're quick about it and do a great job.

This is an awesome place for a college student who might be tight on their budget. The staff is extremely friendly, thorough, and explains everything in layman's terminology. They did an excellent job taking care of my car and getting the oil changed, and went above and beyond. I am so impressed. read more

I went here for an oil change and had a less than pleasant experience. The office attendant was very nice! He got me a discount on my oil change and it totaled out to only $22. However, he told me multiple times that my oil change would be done in an hour. When I dropped my car off he said they were running behind but would have it done in an hour. I called to check in at 45 minutes and nobody answered. At 1 hour I returned and my car was just being started. I thought I'd wait out the extra time in their small waiting room but quickly felt nauseated by the overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke. The office attendant said that it was being worked on and only went out to check on the progress when I told him that I needed to leave soon for work. I was then told that it would be only 10 more minutes (this was after an hour and 10 minutes had already passed since I dropped off my car). In all, it took and hour and 1/2 and wasn't very expensive. It's a good deal, but I would NOT suggest waiting at the shop for your car or betting on their estimated time. read more
