"What does that mean?" She reads from her screen, "It says your voice faded and call ended." "Yeah, I was cut off, but I called right back." "Then," she asked, "who did you talk to?" As if that matters? As if that's some gotcha! She tells me that we'll have to make another appointment. No thanks, I tell her. I don't blame the desk lady; she's part of a broken system. I have to say, this place has bad feng shui, the worst. That front office is brutal. Usually, I'm not one to complain, really I'm not. But they have documentation of when I was cut off, but not when I called back? Come on!

She originally offered me an appointment that same week, but I wasn't available, so we scheduled it for the following Friday at 3:00 PM. During the week leading up to my appointment, I received multiple text and email reminders confirming my 3:00 PM Friday appointment. My wife and I drove 1.5 hours to Springfield for the appointment and arrived at approximately 2:20 PM. When we checked in, we were told they would not be replacing my windshield because they only work on a first-come, first-served basis for customers who drop their vehicles off before 2:00 PM. I was told I would have to reschedule for another day, drop the vehicle off, and wait in line. I explained that I had a confirmed 3:00 PM appointment and had received multiple reminders. The employee told me that the booking agent sometimes gets confused and schedules appointments incorrectly. Unfortunately, this meant taking time off work and making a 3-hour round trip for nothing. Because of the inconvenience, I chose to schedule the replacement with Safelite instead, even though it cost more. I understand that mistakes can happen, but if your company does not accept afternoon appointments for windshield replacements, your scheduling system should not allow them to be booked. This experience cost me time, fuel, and lost work, and it was very disappointing.

REFUSED TO GET ALL THE BROKEN GLASS OUT OF THE DOOR! I took…read moremy 2023 Ford F150 in to have both passenger side windows replaced after someone broke into my truck. They replaced both windows but my door sounded like a maraca with all the broken glass they left inside. I brought it back in and they got some of the glass out but still left quite a bit. They flat out told me that it wasn't their job to get all the glass out and that they didn't have the correct tools to do so. I said "Replacing broken glass is literally all you do and you don't have the right tools?" I strongly don't recommend Safelite. I then called Auto Glass Specialist and they said they could do it no problem for the cost of labor and that they don't consider a job done until all the glass is gone as that is the industry standard. Moral of the story is Safelite doesn't care about their quality of work or their reputation. If your insurance tries to get you to go to Safelite I would absolutely refuse! Hope this helps someone in the future from becoming a Safelite victim.
