I could not be happier. Nice friendly people. I was at 3 different places which were not able to tell me what the clunking metal noise at front of my Honda CR-V was when driving over uneven pavement. Grant one of the mechanics did drive with me so I could point out the noise which he heard and quickly knew what is was. He changed the brake clips and I have no noise anymore driving over uneven pavement. Josh very professional and nice did not even charge me for the clips. It is not the first time I went to them. Totally rip-off!! I went to this location for tire patching. They've kept my record and info because I did the tire installation in the past. When the initial estimate paper printout, it says $20.xx. But after 3 hours and 15 minutes wait, the final price is $30.xx. I asked the store manager why it's not $20.xx it's originally quoted, he said: Oooh... because your tire is low-profile tire. It's totally a BS. The size of my tire is 18 inches, standard on OE. If its 20 inches, it considers low-profile tire. I will never ever go to this place in my life; such dishonest, not decent at all! read more

I headed around the corner to Firestone to get it looked at and of course, it was outside of the repair zone, so I had to get a new tire. I had 7 skype conference calls on my schedule for the day and was so frustrated to have to adjust to take the calls from Firestone. Levon was AMAZING and offered me a quiet office to be able to work out of while they fixed my tire and a few other things. Today, I got a flat tire and couldn't find the paperwork for the warranty, the guys here were very helpful and found the records. Mixed feelings about this place. Workers are always polite and generally use the plastic mats in the car so not to get oil spots on the floor. Prices are average. My main problem is the speed. Even with an appointment it took almost 3 hours for an oil change and tire rotation, not sure why an oil change should take 2.5 + hours out if my day. Terrific place. They take reservations, which is a big plus. They're unfailingly friendly (except for the manager) and so accommodating. They've taken great care of my tires. He made me feel I can trust them with my tires. Plus the price was right. He didn't try to sell me some tires I didn't need. I read other reviews and was shocked that a lot of people had such bad service. I'm doing some services at this location for about 2 years now, like oil changes, new tires (I have several cars) etc. Of course every time they try to sell you some stuff and you have to know what is needed or not. That's a minus, but it could apply to almost all car repair shops. Its good I have a friend who knows cars and can suggest me if that or this service is really needed. It was just couple times they kept the car longer than they promised - but not a big deal. I'm sticking to these guys as they are in good location, and I purchased lifetime services from them, like alingment for each car. (and I drive a lot!) Overall I can say I'm just satisfied, no more. Jonathan N. went above and beyond to help me. I found myself without a ride to Firestone at 7 pm when they closed, and they had the only key to my car. I called at 7 pm and expected no one to answer the phone. But Jonathan did. After hours he so kindly picked me up and drove me back to Firestone. My work day starts at 7 am. Because he went out of his way to help me, I did not have to lose any wages or find a ride to Firestone the next morning. Very straightforward oil change, maintenance light and full vehicle inspection. I did not feel pressured to get anything I didn't want though they did, of course, offer to sell me things they thought I needed (alignment, one new tire). They told me the car looked great and the brakes even still had 80% on them. I'll be back and would consider using them as my regular service people. More updates to come as I continue to see how my car does. I waited for a little bit when I dropped off the car but they were very friendly. My partner and I moved to Pasadena about 2 years ago and have been going to this Firestone ever since. I'm very surprised about the other reviews. We've been treated great every time. I just stopped by today and worked with Jose and he is great. He helped my sister with her tires and offered the best solution at this time. He explained what was necessary and what could wait a little while longer. My only dislike is the fact that we had to wait a very long time to get the car back. They didn't call us when the car was ready, we had to call them. Every time I go they are always busy, which is why they might not call, but I would hope they can fix this one minor complaint. Josh Stoops, a Firestone employee at the Colorado Boulevard, Pasadena location was hands-down, the best auto mechanic I have ever encountered. I don't know much about cars, but Josh was able to provide an understandable explanation of what the problem was and the reasons why I needed to get it repaired. I am by nature rather skeptical of auto-mechanics, but I trusted him. Josh made me feel comfortable with the work his team was doing on my car and eased all of my concerns and doubts. He was friendly, engaging and a very customer oriented. I was concerned when I arrived to deliver my car (for repairs) that there were a number of customers ahead of me in line, but he took the time to treat each customer individually and managed to keep a large number of anxious clients satisfied. He ran an extremely efficient operation and seem to make every customer feel that they were the most important person in his life at that time. Pretty outstanding. I live in Echo Park and there are hundreds of mechanics in my neighborhood. Since first meeting Josh at Firestone Pasadena, I haven't gone anywhere else for auto help. I really couldn't be happier or more satisfied with his attitude, knowledge, and service. Was in town with my wife for a doctors appointment. On the way back home the tire sensor light cane on and i had to get it checked out. So firestone was what came across. There was a little nail causing the tire to slowly lose air. Anyway the service we received for a little nail in the tire was unbelievable. I did not have a positive experience here. First, I was quoted 1 hour for the work which was reasonable. I came back 1 hour later to find the employees hanging out, and the work had not even begun. Total wait time was 3 hours. Second, they damaged my tire pressure sensor and told me it was missing when it came in. Really? Then why didn't I have that annoying light on my dash on when I dropped it off? Now I will need to have the sensors replaced which are $100 plus the install. Definitely not returning here. read more

A few weeks ago I had a problem with my car. I went to the Pep Boys across the street who really didn't seem interested in helping me or understanding my problem at all. So I drove over to the Firestone across the street. Levin, the manager, was awesome! He listened to my problem, was kind and patient, and solved my issue for me immediately! Literally. My experiences with Firestone Pasadena have been outstanding. On a random Sunday morning in September 2015, I tried to start my car. It wouldn't start. Because the dome light would turn on, I knew that the non-starting issue must be related to my alternator and not my battery. To make a long story short, I had the car towed to Firestone Pasadena. Not only did the shop replace my alternator that day, they handled the replacement quickly and charged me a very reasonable rate. Then, on a random Sunday morning in September 2016, I discovered that one of my headlights was burned out. When I stopped by Firestone Pasadena, one of the employees replaced my burned-out headlight for free. Frankly, I'm amazed that Firestone Pasadena doesn't have a perfect five-star rating. When I need automotive care in the future, I'm definitely making the drive to Colorado and Wilson! read more

Been going to this store for years, was not aware of the "bad-service" reputation. My car went in for an oil change, came out with over $1000.00 in recommended services that my car did not need. I paid for oil change only and wanted to leave but guess what...MY CAR WOULD NOT START after they serviced my car. They left the lights on or messed with the battery, because the time was reset on my car when I got in. Went back and the mechanic that and he jumped-started my car. The battery is less than a year old...but Firestone recommended a new battery. My car has been starting OK since I left Firestone. Firestone reported oil leaks...I park my car in same spots everyday...No Oil Drips no leaks? I will not be taking my cars to the Firestone Pasadena. I gave 1-star, but would give less if possible. read more

Dropped my car off at 8am for a tire repair; there was a nail in my tire. Said I would be back around 430. NO ONE called to update me that my tire was not fixable and that I needed a new tire. I specifically said to call me if there where any issues. So you wasted an entire day and I still had to wait 40 mins for a new tire to be put on. All of this could have been handled so much better. Call me and explain the situation, don't just sit there and do nothing. Horrible follow through and horrible customer service. Will not be coming back here. You have no sense of value or urgency when it comes to people's time. read more

I've been going to these guys, pretty consistently since I moved to Pasadena, in 06, and they straight up do a damn fine job! They honour all warranties, tell you exactly what's wrong, what CAN wait and they'll give you a fair price. And if you can do the lifetime alignment, do it! It pays for itself! Once a month and every oil change and its paid for! Overall, I've never had a bad experience with Firestone. They're ok in my book! Want your car to have more issues than you came with and want it totally destroyed and broken? Then come to the Pasadena Firestone Complete Auto Care, otherwise steer clear of the incompetency that works here. We brought our car here to get the wheel bearings replaced per their "recommendation" and ever since then we've been battling multiple issues still to this day. When the car was picked up it was making noises from the wheels - how the technician test drove the car and thought it was OK to release to the customer is beyond me. We then brought the car to another Firestone store and the manager told us we should not be driving the car anymore since it is unsafe. Another Firestone store is still trying to repair the damages done by Pasadena Firestone and we have gone back at least 4 times since the car continues to make noises from the front wheels. They have had to replace brake pads, brake rotors and wheel hubs and even had to re-do the entire wheel bearing job since the job was done "so poorly" per the other Firestone store and has damaged other parts of the car. Avoid this store at all costs unless you want the job to be done incorrectly, incompetently, and put you and your car in danger. This store does not care about you or your safety at all! Whoever did the job initially needs immediate training and the manager of this location should take responsibility of the botched job instead of blaming it on an "outside vendor" who presses the bearings when we asked him about the poor job. At the end of the day, it's your responsibility to ensure the final product is done correctly and if the "vendor" did not do their work correctly, why are you installing defective hardware into our vehicle and making it unsafe? Shame on you. Overall extremely disappointing experience and I'll be telling everyone to never bring their vehicle here. read more

These guys are awesome. I have always been super weary of auto care shops, especially because it seems like the majority of the time I leave with a laundry list of what I need to get fixed, which always seems to total in the thousands. These guys are honest and take time to explain what they are talking about, even to the point of showing you what they are talking about as they explain. I have been there a few times now and haven't spent more than I planned on spending upon arriving because they are honest and haven't sold me anything I don't need. Even when I've requested total body checks to see if everything is in good working order (and mind you, my car is 10 years old). This is def my go-to spot for all things auto! read more

This place is a total rip-off, in the first place they way over charge for their parts compared to what they actually cost which leads me to believe that they actually buy them for what the average person can, lie, and then pocket the rest. Then when you offer to give them your business by bringing the parts to them, they refuse to put them on stating it's their policy to charge what they want and put on what they want. This place is not somewhere you want to do business unless you enjoy finding out that you got totally screwed over. Do the research you will find that your part in an auto parts store is extremely cheaper than what they charge. Do not go here I repeat do not go here. Ive had a horrible experience here the last two times I went. First of I took my car for an oil change around 2 months back and mind you I took my car around 8 in the morning they told me it wouldn't take no more than an hr maybe 2 so I was ok with that since I didn't work till 5 that night. After 2 hrs they didn't call me so I called them and said is my car ready they told me they got really busy but the car will be done in another hr. Instead of calling I walked there an hr later and my car still wasn't done I asked what the problem and they said they had a new person that's why it was taking so long so I went back home thinking it would be done soon. I don't here from them for another 2 hrs and at this point I had to go to work when I went back the car was being test-driven so I was glad it was almost finished. When I was ready to leave I noticed my back lights were not working the employee shorted them out and said they would fix it for free after they fixed I drove off to work but when I got their I realized they didn't put the clips on the light compartment so my plastic cover was exposed. The next day I went back and told them I didn't want to pay for any service they gave me and the person said this is a business and they couldn't do that so I left again irate saying I would never go back. Fast forward two months, I buy a new car and my old car needs service so I can give it to my mom, I go to the shop and they give an estimate and say I have many leaks in the car so I agreed to fix some issues because it's a great car. I took the car 7 am an they said it would be done that day. They call me giving me a story of how it needs more work than it was usually estimated and I agreed to fix some issue thinking the car was going to finish soon and I would be on my way that day. I call around 6pm which is almost 10 hrs later and they say the car needs to stay overnight, I ask why did u tell me same day they were just standoffish about it but I agreed because I had no choice. Now were in day two and the car still is not ready. I call them mind you I called them to get an update they didn't even have the decency to call me and say the car wont be ready till afternoon. Afternoon comes and goes and my car is ready around 3pm about 36hr after I first took it in for a job they told me won't take no more that 5 hrs. As they finalize my paperwork I see they charged me for thing that I didn't previously agree upon. Instead of arguing I drive off because I filed a complaint with corporate. As I drive home I realize my car is shaking which never happens and I've drove this car for 7 plus years. As I bring the car home and park in the garage I see their is oil still leaking and my garage floor got covered in oil. I took the car back and they told me some bull story of how it had a gasket issue but they would change it for free but it would take another day or so. I wait their for a minute and see one of the technicians hose down my engine and bottom of the car I ask the tire supervisor what his doing and he replied I don't know your not sup post to do that. So I leave the car their for the third day. On the forth day I get the car a full 3 days after the car was supposed to be done as I get the paper work Hugo gives me a card saying if u have issues call the store supervisor but I will never deal with this with this place again. On the way home my car is still shaking not as smooth as it used to be and my check engine light keeps flashing. I will not pay them a sent on my firestone credit card until this problem is fixed from a different more competent firestone and speak to a district manager. Mideast you I've been going here for over 10 years but this location is only getting worse. They may tell you that they take their job seriously but honestly everybody that I delt with needs training and if that doesn't help they need to get fired. So again I leave you with this message don't don't don't go here wether it's a oil change or tire change or anything your car will be worse off when you get it back due to the lack of intelligence on part of their employes. So if you don't want a heart attack and don't want numerous issues please don't go here. I wish their was a button for 0 stars but I have give a 1 but it really means 0.
